I tried light mode but it still doesn't work. There is a white screen for minutes on end and the game never shows up but. The game does load in though and I can hear sounds and what not just like when I have it on dark mode. It might just be the version.

Im using OSX High Sierra 10.13.4 (Don't think this is the issue since I have been using High Siera fo a while and the issue only came up recently). There aren't any conditions, it happens almost every time I start up my computer and run the game. About a couple of weeks ago, everything was working fine, no connection issues at all. Now, it is quite rare that the game runs without this issue; however, it does happen. I often have to go into activity monitor and quit all league processes and try again (this process has to be repeated multiple times). I've gone through the troubleshooting stuff, not much seems to help. I've written a support ticket explaining my issue.

This exact same thing happens to me also. I don't know how to fix it unfortunately. But one thing that you can do is once the game starts, you can leave and rejoin and it will be fixed. Other than that, I'm not sure how you can fix this issue. Riot please take care of this.
