You're really saying that there should be no QOL changes because they're first world problems? We shouldn't request the devs make improvements to their game that we enjoy playing? The reason the boards were created were for discussion of the game and what the community wants to see happen in the future. This is the exact place for people to talk about their first world problems involving League.
: For me personally, skill expression is more about using a champion's kit to outplay an opponent rather than dumping out a quick combo. For example: I consider assassins much higher skill champions than lets say mages, because instead of limiting your opponent's options with hard cc or ranged poke, you are trying to time your engage properly in order to use your own kit to avoid your opponent's strengths and secure a kill through your own strengths. Yeah, I could just pick a mage that can safely wave-clear and cc enemies from a screen away, or just throw out a burst combo on a stunned target, but I enjoy playing a champion that has to time my aggression accordingly and look to punish misplays. Guess I just don't understand why you are labeling assassins as forgiving when most are melee with very little to no cc in their kits.

Assassins aren't forgiving in diamond+ but anything below that you just use a mobility move, hit rhe carry with your highest damage move/combo, then use another mobility move to get out. It sounds like you're in a higher elo where this isn't as relevant, which also brings up the point about how riot is only trying to balance the game for pro/high elo play and ignores the players in lower elo

The first set of champions has to choose between maximizing damage and having an escape and the second set is guaranteed both. I'm pretty sure a good chunk of Zed's damage comes from hitting you with his shadow's abilities in addition to his own, though. Seeing as that shadow is also his escape and it's on a fairly lengthy CD for most of the game (since he maxes it last)... I also don't get what you mean by Talon having to choose. Talon's escape ability isn't part of his damage rotation and doesn't even really need more than one rank in it to function.

Talon's escape ability isn't part of his damage rotation and doesn't even really need more than one rank in it to function. With zed, you don't need to worry about escaping. You press r to go in, pick up a kill, press r again and you're teleported back to safety. Most of the time you can just click on a non-tank at random and delete them without needing to worry about positioning because you teleport away when you're done. I'm guessing he means whether you try to escape or engage with Talon ult, but you can use your wall jump to escape so in reality he's incredibly easy to play until you get to high elo. That goes for pretty much all assassins. They're braindead victories until you get to a rank where the other team knows how to deal with you, then you get stuck in that rank bc all you know how to do is click on the carry
ARC RAZIEL (EUNE)
: Diana @Riot Zhanos
While I agree it sucks to have a mechanic that you've practiced for a long time taken away, your comparison to Nadal is flawed. You said you practiced to get nearly 100% success rate with this, and said its similar to Nadal getting an Ace. If Nadal was able to get nearly 100% Aces on serves using the same strategy every time, I'd be shocked if there wasn't an official rule change to prevent the strategy. Same applies to Diana. If there is a mechanic so strong that you will almost guarantee killing your opponent as long as you do the inputs properly, that should be changed. If each of the inputs was a difficult skillshot then I would understand how it would be considered balanced, but honestly with how Diana's worked it was just practice timing the inputs and that shouldn't be so rewarding. I like Diana as a champion (although I don't play her all too often) and I wouldn't be mad if they gave her something to compensate for the lost mechanic, but honestly I'm glad its gone

Expecting people to spend upwards of $100 to maybe get the cosmetic they want... That really sounds like a great business model? It's very anti-consumer, as you aren't able to guarantee you get what you want, even though you're paying for it. Imagine if other companies start doing that. You want to buy a car? Put in $7500 for a 5% chance to win the car you want, even though the car is only worth $15,000. Are you really going to take that deal? Obviously not. Think of this in any other business and it sounds ridiculous. Just because Riot is a gaming company doesn't mean it can get away with massive greed.

: Why 7 Seconds?
My concern with his ult is that he can be 0/8/0 and make the enemy 10/0 carry worth the same in a teamfight. He ults the carry, uses zhonyas, uses stopwatch, then they both come back after the main fight is over. As long as morde's team won the 4v4 (good chance bc enemy doesn't have their carry), his team can jump on the carry with a numbers advantage.
: Yuumi Questions
If Yuumi cleanses while inside an ally that is CCed, does her ally get cleansed? Same question with qss?
: They will not bounce to a unit that is untargetable. Her ability states that she is untargetable by everything except tower damage, though I'm unsure if that simply means that a turret shot in flight will not disappear, or if she will also continue to be targeted by the turret after attaching.

I'd like if they gave some extra spice around the mastery icon depending on your mastery points. Something like <250k stays the same, 250-500k gives a little extra, 500k-1m gets more, then >1m gets some nice looking wings around their mastery or something like that

League has supposedly been "dying" since like season 4 but the community keeps expanding. I'm not saying I agree with every decision Riot has made, but clearly what they're doing is working. 3. Aatrox got a full VGU, and I don't think Yasuo needs anything close to that. I think Yasuo's E is the main reason people hate playing against him, so if Riot only changed his E but kept his overall gameplay similar, I think both Yasuo mains and Yasuo haters would be happy. Yasuo mains wouldnt get their champion banned 41% of the time, and Yasuo haters might not hate him as much. You're right that there is a chance Yasuo mains won't like the changes, but that's a risk Riot takes whenever they update any champion.

In general that statement is true, but only to a point. Ahri has a 9.2% playrate and a 52.8% winrate but only a 1.4% banrate. Yasuo has a 10.3% playrate and a 49.4% winrate but his banrate is 41%. Even though ahri has a higher winrate and only slightly lower playrate, she is only banned 1.4% instead of 41%. Same can be seen with Orianna, who has a 7.8% playrate and 0.8% banrate. (Stats from op.gg)
iiGazeii (NA)
: Yasuo has tons of counterplay, but it's easier to just get stomped and complain about him. Yasuo punishes players who don't know the basics of macro play, like wave management, cooldown tracking, and effective rotations. He's a melee champion that telegraphs everything he's got and must push the wave to charge his abilities. He's got one of the easiest skillshots to dodge, and if you dodge it, he has no ult. Complaning about Yasuo's tornado is like complaining about getting domed by Jhin's 4th shot. You can clearly see they have it, they spent a long time charging it and there's an unmistakable sound effect, yet you still stood in range and got punished.

You can clearly see they have it, they spent a long time charging it and there's an unmistakable sound effect, yet you still stood in range and got punished. Never complained about his tornado or said he has no counterplay. As I stated in the post, he's had an incredibly high ban rate for years, which should be an obvious sign of a problem. I'm not saying he's OP, I'm saying its clear that a high number of players hate playing against one specific champion so they always ban it, even during patches where he's really weak. I don't think Yasuo is OP, and I'm not one of the people who bans him all the time, I'm saying that based on statistics, he is unhealthy and deserving of changes.
y0r1ck (NA)
: So you're saying he's unhealthy because he's banned very often? There are massive leaps in logic here, and it doesn't really add up. You haven't proven a champion is unhealthy just because it gets banned the most. Start with what unhealthy really means, then we might get somewhere.

Yasuo has had a top 5 ban rate since July 2016. If you don't see a problem with that, feel free to downvote and move on. I'm trying to communicate that a change should be made, because I believe a champion getting banned this frequently for 3 consecutive years without getting his kit altered is unacceptable.
: why is yasuo banned when lux isnt even played mid anymore looking for counterplay isn't the point of this post. Seeing as how everyone playing league has had a chance to fight him because of his high playrate, everyone already knows how to play against him. It's just that he feels terrible to play against because of his kit, and that's not the same thing as being overpowered. Shaco players are so focused on trying to outplay the enemy that they forget how to win the game, and that he is a completely selfish champion. Zero waveclear, zero lockdown, zero contribution when behind, zero peel, only damage and mobility. So..... He's an assassin? If assassins were able to contribute when behind they would be really OP. The point of an assassin is a high risk high reward play style. Some assassins have waveclear, but shaco generally builds tiamat which makes up for his lack of it. I agree that the assassin play style could be considered selfish, but gold should be funneled to carry champions. If nobody on the team is playing a high damage champ, chances are you're gonna lose the game. Ps- i'm a support main who occasionally plays mages mid lane, not an assassin player.
: Good Job Riot, So You Want to Finally do Item Changes? Awesome......Lets Talk.
You complained that 3 of the tank item actives are support, but then you suggested giving Warmog's and Stoneplate super OP support actives? All tank supports would need to build Stoneplate and Warmog's every game if that change went through. You just gave Warmog's a Soraka W that heals the whole team and scales off of max hp on an item that already gives 800 bonus hp. Imagine that item being built on a Cho'gath with 10+ stacks. As for Stoneplate, you just gave tanks a Crucible that's 5x better than the original. If you think items are so overloaded with stats and abilities, why are you suggesting making those (already good) tank items into meta breaking items?
: BANS IN ARAM
I've played tons of ARAM, own all champions, and i'm glad they added bans. Sure I had fun getting insane team comps, but the fun of getting a good comp/champ didn't outweigh the bad of playing against it. Also, I like having 10 bans because teams usually have a few overlapping bans. The only problem I see with adding bans to ARAM is that newer players will need to get more champions before being able to play, but that really isn't a big deal.
: Well that's not a good idea. "Turn off a champion in pro play" also already happens with lower-skill champions who don't bring enough to pro play to warrant being picked. While a controversial opinion, I think having certain characters busted in pro play but shit in pug play is good. Players who want to use these champions should aspire to them, practice hard and really have to knuckle down. Having everyone be pickable for even the most average player feels rather bad. Riot's super guilty of this as well with things such as the Alistar pulverize change or taking cool mechanics like the Ryze zhonya's warp and removing them "so it's easier for everyone".
You're getting downvoted because you're saying champions should require skill and game knowledge to play them well... What a perfect representation of the boards

Even as a joke, it is extremely unacceptable for somebody who represents a company, especially one as big as riot games, to say something like that. Imagine all the people that have been hurt by the suicide of a loved one, and all the people who have attempted suicide. By keeping him employed, Riot is saying they don't care about any of those people, or just don't care enough to do something. Imagine if somebody with a mental disability walked into a store and the clerk said "hey look at this fucking retard haha". If the clerk was not reprimanded for their actions, the public would be in disgust, and for a very good reason. While this is an extreme example, I hope it helps you understand why people are not happy with Riot and their lack of punishment
