He is being kinda annoying but that is it. I know plenty of people and I can give out all the names that do that kind of thing and don`t get punished because it happens just now and then. Yes, this not the account's first penalty and is basically their 3rd offense going through the normal escalation system, as described here: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/207489286-Instant-Feedback-System-FAQ- The system escalates the penalty in hopes that the player will understand a stronger signal (suspension) and change their approach, because the weaker signal (chat restriction) hasn't worked for them to encourage sufficient improvement based on the community and system's eyes (as they're still offending players and getting reports deemed valid). Certainly there are more extreme phrases and language that players may be used that that could accelerate the process and jump a few steps to an immediate ban for instance, things along the lines of hate speech or death threats, but that's not the path this case took. While the language in this particular chat log wouldn't have incurred an immediate ban, there are elements of negativity and harassment which could hurt other players and could be penalty-worthy offenses, especially if we're considering the implications of phrases. For example, calling for reports. Let's dive into that a bit. Despite the word phrasing sounding benign on the surface ("report" isn't a bad word on its own) when someone calls for another player to be reported, there's a few implications under the hood, which really result in an attack on the player: 1. they're publicly expressing frustration towards another player 2. they're associating the target player with someone who exemplifies behaviors that would be valid to report for 3. they're asking for something negative to happen to the target player, like a chat restriction, ban, or worse. 4. and if they're doing it in All chat especially, they're also asking everyone else in the game to join in and gang up to hurt this player, context or no context, and maybe even seeking validation from others on the negative feelings they have towards the target player ...and the target player on the receiving end of this probably feels all these things in some shape or form. Unless you're friends, in a premade, or just happen to click with someone's personality, you'll risk the target player taking it negatively and feel attacked, hurt, and maybe even frustrated enough to submit a report at the end of game. BONUS: For those who are looking to learn and aren't sure how to assess how others may interpret what they're saying, here's my personal high level take, which is basically 3 questions I ask myself: (examples included for fun) 1. Do i have good intentions behind my statements? (e.g., am i saying something because I'm angry and want to vent, or is there something genuine to be discussed here or something that needs to be clarified?) 2. Is what I'm saying/doing good for me? (e.g., is the thing I'm about to say going to help me win my lane, take objectives, or lead to victory?) 3. Is what i'm saying/doing good for others? (e.g., is telling someone that they're bad or did something poorly a few minutes ago actually going to help them right now? is it going to teach them something, or help them perform better in game, or increase the team's odds of making better decisions and winning? is it going to make people laugh or have a more enjoyable time? Is it going to have negative consequences for others, make them feel worse, or perform worse? are my positive intentions getting blocked by my choice of words and coming across the wrong way?) ...If I'm not getting a clear 'Yes' on all 3 questions, there's usually something I can improve, and an increased chance I'm going to come off offensive or unsportsmanlike in some way. Basically it comes down to this: 1. Please don't call for reports. Just don't do it. 2. Consider the implications of the things being said, because at the end of the day, people will remember the way you made them feel, but not necessarily the specific words you've used. 3. Think about and be honest with the consequences of your words. If words didn't have power, we wouldn't be using them. {{sticker:slayer-jinx-wink}}

: I got permabanned for this - Please tell me what I did wrong so I can improve
you did nothing wrong, you acted like what most of league playerbase would have, what you did wrong was get yourself to the point where you could be permabanned for further offenses, just watch out next time. no points in wasting your time with the staff either, they arent gonna help you get unbanned or improve. all you need to know is /muteall, literally the only sane solution to this mess riot has made in the past few years with their report/rank system. toxicity is so bad in league that their only solution to the problem is just ban everything they see as remotely promoting toxicity and conflict in chat, its pretty sad tbh.

: It's not something I think, it's his actual lore bio from the skins tab. >Bilgewater is home to many bounty hunters, but those looking to track a target though hundreds of miles of open ocean go to the hulking creature known as Aatrox. Cool, professional, and capable of rapidly regenerating from near-fatal wounds, with Aatrox you'll always know your bounty is in good hands.
cool, guess hes a bounty hunter with a big red shiny sword now then
: Sure, but Sea Hunter Aatrox belongs to an alternative universe, so there's no need to give him a design that would also fit his classic skin. He looks more like some kind of hammer shark-human hybrid than a Darkin, therefore a sword that was made out of metal and fish bones (like the old one) would have been perfect for him.
If you want to think each skin comes a different lore/background then thats fine, just personal preference.
: I like the new wings, but I prefer the design of the old sword. The new one doesn't seem to have anything to do with the theme of the skin.
yeah i agree from an aesthetics stand point, the older version fit the theme a lot better even with the new wings. the new one looks almost disney like, but thats just my opinion. But the new one fits his new theme a lot better (of aatrox not just this skin).
: I have only ONE complaint about the new Aatrox
its not bad if you consider it with the new wings hes got

: There is no team captain, there is no team boss. They don't have to listen to everyone. If they are refusing to help the team win the game (such as intentionally feeding the enemy, AFKing, etc) then that is punishable. Simply doing something other than what you want them to is not. Ex: You tell them to come bot with you, but they go top because they think they can get that turret. That is not punishable - no matter how much you wanted them to go bot. You have your autonomy, they have theirs.
FREEDOM REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Ignoring the calls of four other players on the team, refusing to contribute in team fights, getting caught out when the rest of the team has agreed on a plan for the next teamfight. But murica bois

: They are under no obligation to listen to you, nor are they under any obligation to communicate their intent to you unless they are doing something out of the ordinary.
League is a team orientated game is it not? Doesn't the game try at every corner to reinforce that idea? The tutorial even teaches the players how to ping which is an important part of the communication system, a system in which the chat is a vital part of. If you are telling me refusing to partake in a vital part of what makes a team successful is justified because they are "under no obligation to listen to you, nor are they under any obligation to communicate their intent to you", then idk what could be classified as not ordinary.
Chermorg (NA)
: "actively interact with the team and the enemy" - do you mean they went AFK? That is punishable. Simply not listening to teammates is not punishable.
Refusing to communicate isn't punishable?
