: About the removal of Twisted Treeline
They removed it because it had a lower playerbase than other gamemodes, not because of the meta used in the gamemode. They announced that they would remove twisted treeline back in July through a developer post. I think it is a bad decision and I would like for them to keep 3v3 but hey money talks.

problems don't just go away after not playing for a while. I am already aware of the lp I have lost over this. I have already lost about 50 lp prior to this from patch 9.14 having other gamebreaking bugs that resulted in the 2nd client never launching (the load screen and match). I used the hextech repair tool to fix that but now the hextech repair tool is freezing on me which is fun.

It'll be gone, they'll be sad, and players who like the real game will move on. The last time Twisted Treeline received a change was way back in patch 5.11. This patch was released in June of 2015. To give you an idea of how long ago this was, Crystal Scar also got changes in this patch. In the dev blog, they cite a 2012 rework of the map not attracting enough players as the reason for why they are removing TT. That rework is 7 years old. The true reason for the removal of TT is so that TFT can replace its spot in the gamemode menu. '2.5% of players play TT' this is only NA stats and does not represent all TT players. Most TT players do not play SR. Money over public image, am I right? There are more than a couple thousand players that play TT. Majority of players do not play TT but it is also not the mode featured in eSports or through twitch/youtube. TT has a bad rep because it gets no attention.

Have no fear, my friend, for riot has the solution for you! After Twisted Treeline is removed, they will remove the whole silver league. Allegedly. This is a rumor. It doesn't make any sense to remove silver but it makes an equal amount of nonsense to remove TT.

: So, some advice - more paragraphs would break it up and make it easier to read. Shorter queue times does not necessarily mean there's a large playerbase that merits continued advancement of the mode, to begin with, nor does longer queue times mean you will be matched with better players. Queue times aren't low to appease these "can't wait" players - the goal is to make them low because if all else was equal (which there is no proof of what you're saying about different quality players) then players choose shorter queues over longer ones. >Another reason Riot has to remove TT was that after updates to TT it didnt attract as many new players, but they cited a 7 year old update. TT suffers, not from being a bad game mode, don't get me wrong it does have its flaws, but it suffers from its bad parent. The game mode suffers from neglect. If you throw your phone in a lake, then try throwing it in a lake again, then try again, do you *really* need to try that one more time to know it ruins your phone and you have to buy a new one? Sure, it may have been years ago - but there is no reason to believe that investing a massive amount of resources into TT now would produce any different results. >I see too many posts from players who have barely scratched the surface of LoL complaining about things which leads me to believe riot takes their input from iron players who do not have a clue about this game and its community. Riot just doesn't listen to the actual playerbase. Over 50% of players are ranked below Gold. Furthermore, just because someone is a high rank does not mean their complaints are based in fact and logic. For every 10 threads I read on the boards, maybe 1 makes anything *close* to an evidence based, logical, and progressive (meaning it starts with the concern, presents the evidence, and describes how the evidence enforces the concern). Even then, many of these threads, while well intentioned, tend to fall apart. It is exceedingly rare that I see a thread on the boards that identifies a legitimate concern, backs it up with evidence, and the evidence actually supports the concern/change that they are requesting be addressed. **** To address TT removal - it's playerbase is small, and the amount of resources required to maintain it will only increase as champions are reworked, new champions are added, new items are added/items are changed, etc. Each one of these things requires TT specific bugfixes/balancing, as well as extensive playtesting internally to detect and fix problems. At this time, Riot has looked at the scope of TT and determined that the playerbase is so small that it is a waste of effort to continue the game mode. And let's be honest, all publicly available data agrees with that. TT is exceedingly low played, the only reason queue times are so low is because of bots/new players/"troll accounts" which just dick around, and the mode itself isn't really easy to balance around. While I love a good TT game, I'd much rather Riot spend their time and effort solely on SR for a competitive mode - it simply doesn't make sense for them to run what amounts to a side game simply to appease a very small population. Unfortunately in life some things run their course and are then removed - no matter how successful or loyal of a following they have. One example is airline routes - an airline may start a new route up, or have been running a route for dozens of years - it doesn't change the fact that when the time and effort to run such a route exceeds the benefit gained, they will cancel it.

I would like to start by saying that I appreciate your feedback. I apologize for my bad formatting but I am typing on a phone since I am away this week and I wanted to put my stance on the matter as soon as possible so more people could view what I had to say and maybe reflect their opinion on riot's decision. Addressing the queue times. Last season, I had longer queue times for TT but I also had more enjoyable games since most people from SR avoided TT from seeing the long queue. Back then the queue was 5 to 8 minutes. This season, more players have flocked to TT who are not entirely aware of the unwritten but widespread rules to TT. By this. I mean the champions they choose and lack of smite in some games. I still have those enjoyable games, but it isn't as often as the previous season. I now try to get groups as often as possible when playing TT since it is a heavy synergy based game mode. Addressing the lack of support for TT. It may appear that they tried to support a game mode and it didn't work out, but this is not entirely true. They never really did support TT to begin with. TT has unique items and monsters to it, but there are many bugs that have been addressed previously on the forums that have went unanswered. It wouldn't take a whole department to fix these issues, but just one person. Riot has had the opportunity to push TT in the past but I have never ever seen them advertise TT. The last time I have ever seen Riot even acknowledge the game mode was back when the Hexakill event happened and this was years ago. Addressing the 50% of players being below gold. This is true but I am referring to players who are ranked iron which is only obtainable by poor performance and misunderstanding of the game. 9 times out of 10 when I have previously seen someone complaing about a specific character or game mode, it was by a player ranked far below the average ranking of the playerbase. Some people have bad internet or other related computer issues which is why they maintain a low rank, which I understand because I used to have severe wifi issues years ago, but majority of these players do not suffer from wifi or computer issues and are just plain not understanding the game or not trying to understand the game. Half of the time I have seen these players post on the forums, they have been criticized by players who have more experience in that game mode or on the character, as seen by their profile. I believe that posts like these play some role in the decision to remove TT. Another belief I have that plays a role in the decision are streamers trashing on TT for being a separate game mode or for being different from SR which helps drive a mob mentality. I have had a couple ranked TT games where people goof around and claim "TT isn't a real gamemode" which bothers me because I have not seen this behavior from players in the previous season. Addressing the maintenance of TT through updates: literally the only thing that changes in TT is when a new champion is added. The items in TT remain unaffected from SR. I have been away from my pc for almost a week now so I can't fact check some items but from what I remember the items have not changed since they are in a separate shop. A good chunk of items in TT are also only in TT so small item changes wouldn't affect gameplay too much. I am unfamiliar with how Riot actually changes values of items, but I have a good idea that they don't have go go through every game mode individually to change them. They are probably grouped. Addressing "extensive playtesting, balances, bug fixes" There literally has been none of any of this in a long time. I am almost certain that majority of Riot staff do not play the game often and the ones that do play the game do not play 3v3, hence why they are removing it. "Low queue times because of bots" out of my 200 ranked TT games, I have never encountered a bot. If you encounter a bot in ranked TT then please tell me and attach a replay. I have never heard of any bots in ranked TT. They are trying to remain undetected and playing ranked is the last thing a bot would do. My honest opinion on why they had the idea to remove TT is due to TFT. I do not like TFT a single bit. But that part is just my theory on the matters.
: Instead of getting rid of twisted treeline.
I would prefer TT to stay the way it is. It was left alone for several years by riot with no update and now it has a strong community of players. It should stay where it is since it causes no harm. I have 200 ranked games on TT this season alone (I also have 200 ranked games on SR) and I honestly prefer TT over SR and always will prefer TT over SR. It is more condensed and requires more teamwork which makes it more challenging. It is also easier to find a group of 3 talented people to group with than it is to find 5. It is all around a good game mode and I am against it being removed or being converted to something that it is not. A legacy game mode belongs in RGM or Pbe.

: Once again, Riot pushes the entire playerbase onto one map.
I should comment to send a message to those who don't see the full scope: when they removed dominion from league, there were players who literally put over a thousand of hours into that gsmemode. They quit and left because why stay around to get slapped in the nuts more. They are repeated the same thing as they did years ago, except tt draft is full of bots that will migrate from tt to your favored game modes. Why bots in draft tt? Easier to go undetected since everyone played ranked tt. Why bots? They level up to 30 and sell the account. Aram and sr will be affected far greater than you believe. This will be worse than the mordekaiser rework.
Juxin (NA)
: Once again, Riot pushes the entire playerbase onto one map.
I have 200 ranked games on TT this season alone. I did verse a team of 2 diamonds and a master while I was silver 5 last season but this results from playing too late (1 am) and riot literally not caring about TT. Last event on TT was hexakill. Evidence of their neglect can be shown by the shop boundary still being off completely for years now. I love TT even with its flaws. I actually prefer it over SR. I liked it last year though when the trash players from SR weren't invading. I have to play jungle more now since nobody has a clue that smite is essential. I'll return for the closing of ARAM in a year, then the closing of player vs ai the next year, and finally the closing of SR the following year. The main reason people hate TT is because it is a flex game mode and they treat it like solo/duo and wonder why that have such a terrible time. Playing SR flex as a solo results in the same experience. This is a game about communication and TT is all that. It is harder than SR because you can't make any flaws. It is a shame Riot doesn't understand. From viewing rioter profiles in the past, it appears that they dont even play the game. Not sure if they have separate accounts but only one could hope. See you in 10 years when they bring back TT for Hexakill. P.s. tell Sprîng that he is a dirty renekton 1 trick. I haven't played him in a year but you are a higher elo so maybe you have run into him from time to time. Edit: viewed his profile for the first time in a year and it appears that he plays more champions now than just renekton. He also dropped from masters to plat in tt, but he climbed to gm in solo/duo so I congratulate him on that.

The post is titled 9.14 Patch. Do NOT attempt to play any games. this WILL reoccur. source: me and others have lost enough lp. no more lp deserves to be lost. : Stuck in "Game is still in progress..." without loading into anything else
I can't say for sure if we will be getting the lp back, since the only instance I can recall of that ever happening was when an xerath was using a script to hit everything across the map with a single q. this happened a while back (maybe 2 or more years ago). It would be nice though to get lp back since I now sit at 0 lp and I don't want to get demoted over this. Do NOT attempt to play any games until this issue is announced as resolved.

More then likely I'm going to get 9 reports for leaver due to some client bug.. This is a widespread issue right now. Riot has already acknowledged the issue (at least on the forums) and it is currently a top priority bug fix. There is a pinned post about it at the top of 'Report A Bug' forum page. it is titled 9.14 patch official post: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/bug-report/u28PhgrF-patch-914-a-critical-error-has-occurred-report-megathread

: Patch 9.14 - "A critical error has occurred" Report Megathread
Here are 2 .tmp files from both the ranked games I lost over this issue. (I did a full repair and the issue still occurs). Will it be possible to get any lp back? I am on the edge of being demoted over this. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1hlZLZVh3FKOIlY8DBYRpTBIg8P8ibnzl edit: I don't want to appear rude with my post but I recently had another client related issue 2 days ago that took a while for me to solve. When I did fix that issue I did share how I did so and it did help another person with a similar client issue which does put a smile on my face. If you guys have to revert the most recent update, I am all for that since it has only caused issues for me at least.

: RIOT FIX YOUR STUPID CLIENT
I can't even get into the loading screen after champ select now. I already made a post on this though.
: Twisted Treeline fix
I play a lot of Twisted Treeline and while we are on the topic of twisted treeline having issues, there is an issue with the area at which you can access the shop. you can buy from the shop while outside of the fountain. Also this next one isn't an issue but I think monsters in the jungle should get animations instead of just appearing at 1:06.

I don't think there is anything more I can do on my side. I am waiting for the next patch and hopefully updating to the next patch will resolve my problem. Edit: for whatever reason, I can finally ,after 2 whole days, play games once again. It might be related to me turning off and on my computer since the client repair, but that is just my best guess. I recommend doing the same and maybe it will work for you.
: Do you know of any way to fix it? If you do can you or anyone who sees this let me know?

If you do can you or anyone who sees this let me know? I think I am having a similar issue except mine freezes when I go to queue and leave queue. It does this on both of my accounts. I don't ever mess with the league of legends folder or contents and in the settings there is an option to repair client but it did not work for me, HOWEVER in your case, it may work for you. you are able to access the options screen before you login and you should be able to click repair client. I wish you luck on fixing your problem.

: Does anyone know how to increase the HUD size?
This might be related to the resolution your computer is set to. The only advice I can give you is to try to adjust it or get a new monitor that supports larger resolution. I hope you find a solution to your problem.
: Where's My Lil Demon Tristana Icon?
I have received my icon (yesterday I think). If you don't get the icon within the next few days then either there is a bug or you were not logged in while voting so they don't know whose account to reward.

: 3v3 competive queue time is alot longer than 2 mins in NA actually its good to get in a game under 6 mins, Also I am only at gold and silver rank, but they put you with challengers when there are not people. proof https://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/3050881542/208087031?tab=overview

I was a silver 5 solo placed with a gold and plat 1 player against a flex of 2 diamond players and a master player. The master player was named spring with an arrow on the i. This might be related to the time you play TT. This was an issue in Overwatch a while ago where a group of 6 top 500 players were playing at the least active time possible (like 2-4 am) and then they would go against players in diamond and completely dominate them.
: "twisted treeline is disabled"
TT is actually quite popular of a gamemode. Majority of players do not play TT, but then again those same players also don't play 5v5 flex. TT is here to stay, there was just an issue with players having a looping bugsplat (I think it was for kayn players but it could be a wider issue). Yesterday I had a game where our jungler was a Kayn and he couldn't connect to the game and just kept reconnecting all game only to get disconnected again. Me and Garen pulled through and still won since we were against a yuumi. Removing TT or moving it to be a RGM would quite possibly be the worst mistake Riot Games could make as it wouldn't push those players to play 5v5 more but instead cause anger and rage reducing the player count or creating toxic players. EDIT: everyone plays ranked TT. I do not recommend playing blind pick TT since from my experience it results in a high percentage of bots ruining games. Ranked TT has a high player base but nobody plays blind pick for this reason. I can't wait for ranked TT to be back up.
