: Quick Gameplay Thoughts: September 20
Just a thought FOr the past however long i can remember, damage has been high... tanks are failing to tank even malphite lately.... he should scale well with armour but im seeing many AP builds instead... I feel like also divers should dive in and survive with good defence and offence options but they seem to dive and easily kill such as jarvan and jax.... kinda feels like theyre assasins without escapes... Onto the subject of assasins it used to be at least 1 would be viable and to have more would be very risky.... however multiple assasins are existing almost every game building the same build and with a couple of kills they snowball easily and thanks to high damage little counterplay... For example with blue kayn many times have players experienced this guy running at high speeds through walls and quickly dealing massive damage with W Q and an R to finish... what could be the counterplay to that? especially if youre an immobile champion which is hard to dodge his W... We might be able to say dodge W but considering CDs its not really a viable option.. Same with Zed.. he gets a couple of kills and can easily kill with a W E Q W auto ignite electrocute... The ult is mainly used as a dodging tool such as to dodge malph ult or fiora W... its second tool is as a second gap closer.. I kidna feel like assasins should feel strong and able to kill but to do it so easily and without ults feels too much (but these are just a couple of examples) .... an ult should be their main killing tool A standard tank build is inferior to a diver with Steraks cleaver hydra maw etc ( these HP items with damage) the shields they get on top of the HP and maybe a standard tank item makes them much more tankier and with damage than a normal tank.... The only tanks who feel viable are the ones that deal good damage simply because when theyre in the fight theyre not tanking damage theyre killing to lower the damage they take... Finally CD ... CD is too common and should be lowered ...... maybe remove CD from some damage items and give them to tank items i do not know But i do know one thing ... damage is just too high, mobility is everywhere and a small champion pool being viable isnt good either... Any light on changing this?

definitely need work on tanks... I get that when tehyre meta theyre disgusting to deal with hence conqueror and making divers viable so why not reduce their damage and actually make them damage absroebrs? that would make their laning horrible and slow ... so if theres a way for damage to be good early enough to lane but then fall off in favour of defence... it should happen .... Items would be perfect for this like stoneplate ... you deal less damage for the tradeoff of being tanky ... Id love to see negative stats ... like this item grants +100 armour , 3-00 HP and -15% Damage as an example problem is atm as well the items that actually make you survive long enough are teh ones which come with damage ... steraks, maw, GA and cleaver ... these items give you the ability to survive burst but give you damage as well to enable you to kill before dying ...

I play the role because the feeling you get when you save an ally or when you deny the enemy something and just generally being that support where if im playing janna i can just focus on being the champion and doing my thing rather than going for CS etc i can go around shielding and peeling

Not to mention all of these with the exception of Katarina have a longer cooldown.

Just to add here 1300 to live or free to die ? but you also have a team to help deal with him
: Malz ult is not ok.
Considering the high mobility around and the fact malz has none ... its a good anti mobility ult .... keep it as it is

theres a triangle always in balance Mobility damage CC/utility Champions lately such as irelia have mobility damage and strong utility (rememebr when irelia first released having a disarm and a longer stun etc). Yasuo is another example ... STrong damage, amazing moility and powerful utility with windwall and extended knockups on top of an AOE knockup ... akali another example .. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A champion should not fill the triangle otherwise theyd be broken or OP which is what a lot of champs have lately they can fill the triangle in 2 areas high but at the cost of the last point being 0 or a bit of everything where nothing is amazing Zed is a good example where he is just mobility and damage but we have a lot of meta champs which have powerful utility on top of good mobility and damage .... Lissandra another example Good powerful utility and medium mobility and damage to balance it out its not that theyre fun... yes mobility is fun but its the fact these certain champs come as a whole package which is why certain champs have issues .. Look at kalista... HIgh mobility but is she played a lot? no cos she has low damage and utility Its the whole package you get

the next change id like to see is that her traps have a set up time like bards W for shorter .... this is so she is not using her traps to chain CC and get easy headshots ... in favour of this nerf the traps should last longer ..... In-game easter eggs on PBE? A video teaser before we show the gameplay trailer? For every champion, we (the publishing team) think about the best way to intro the champion to players. It's not something we decide lightly - we spend a lot of time talking and planning. Sometimes we do something that doesn't work, which feels bad. But we try to remember those learnings. [Yuumi](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZWEV3bACZo) and [Qiyana](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVuWMbmHEWw) did have champion teasers that came out before the main gameplay trailer. To shed some light on that process, we spent a lot more time and resources on those videos (esp. the 3D intros of the [Qiyana](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cttriTiPjuU) and [Yuumi](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZWEV3bACZo) Trailer) than we have in our past champ videos.. and I think the overall quality surpasses a lot of the stuff we showed in the past (besides the million $ CGs of course). The teasers i like best are the videos which give a short story with the champion while not fully revealing such as tahm kench and Reksai ... nice hype video and a little suprise at the end which makes you go O_O thats the champ for sure!! making you wanna look closer as you cant fully see them I like the in game easter eggs too wuch as bards and kindreds.... But tbh i find the videos are so much more fun and bring more hype :)

I thought so too i remember Kindreds teaser and bards very well oh and tahms ... just little easter eggs in game made it fun and the speculation .... sort of feels like here have a new champ and shut up kind of thing .... Like with qiyana no teaser or anything just gave us the champ very quickly ...i miss even have videos of champs too like bards or kindreds or reksais I wish we could get these back unless riot are doing something major? I get that theyre trying to improve and listen to teh community by doing eternals which seems a bit questional and trying to turn the negativity thrown against them or hopefully making big plans to change game around and tone down mobility and damage creep .... But i just wish theyd keep these fun quirky things

: Asol is all about positioning to have his balls (giggity) hitting as many champs as possible at all times. This removes that and just turns him into another typical burst mage. Stun, press W for ball burst, back off. It completely kills his unique identity and just makes him another "why play x champ when y is the same but better?"
When i first saw the change i didnt get it but after reading the comment of adding counterplay early to allow him to be buffed late made me understand the reasoning for the changes .... But then i thought hold on ... so hes going to be another scaling mage .... then thats again commenting back on yours... why play him over another champion? A lot of champs do the same thing now the only reason we choose them is design and how they do it ... They did the same to Azir ... Before his rework Riot asked for removal of mobility to keep range or remove range to keep mobility... A lot of azir mains chose to remove mobility in favour of range .... What do they do ... ignore the majorty (assuming majorty because comments on reddit and boards) They chose to keep the mobility and remove range which fixed nothing about him at all ... just made him a dumbed down version of what i liked ... no longer feels like an emperor commanding to me .. more like basic solider.... Its frustrating tbh and i feel sorry for Asol mains .. Only hope is that it gets reverted i feel like releasing him and hearing feedback from peopleoutside of PBE is what is needed

i dont think TFT did lol a lot of people including myself find it fun I say no because they didnt need to remove game modes in favour of this they could have had both like TT existed alongside game modes so why not TFT? They should bring game modes back and have TT and dominion and nexus blitz part of them ... I fail to understand the problem for this to happen

: Noble is ruining this game
Nobles do too much tbh Compared to knights just auto damage reduction for the team or guardian which is just armour for whoever is touching them ... nobles provide MR and armour as well as on hit life steal for the whole team when at 6 ... granted its when its 6 units but its still too much .... i would honestly just prefer the onhit lifesteal but buffed up a bit

: Jungle doesn't need buffs at all. The problem is there are so many broken/OP champions outside of the jungle. Riot needs to completely stop buffing champions and only nerf at this point until the game is balanced again.

Tbh jungle has been too strong and the fact you have freedom to control the map deny any lane opponent by camping or repeated ganking especially with nerfs to vision it was too strong compared to lets say adc where you just need to farm and hope your team doesnt fail whereas with jungle you can prevent this

TBH they did say they dished out surveys and a lot of people what more to show off champion mastery or something like that? So its nice that they listened and did something.. I may get downvoted hard for this but i actually like the idea behind eternals ... I think the flair thing could look a lot bettter and more impressive ... I definitely do not agree with paying for it thoug.. I understand they would need money to support it and keep it going but they could release this system and have another way of making the money to support this feature though or something

i think theres something being ignored here.... were getting autofilled from any role for me im getting autofilled to jungle a lot lately i dont really play top so if i go top to avoid autofilling ... im basically autofilling myself and doing the job anyway
: the double seraphs death cap karthus build is too strong
tbh though youre putting all effort onto that karthus with a dragon comp or dragon claws even the right positioning or assasin you could kill him but imo to be able to get them items on a karthus should be rewarding

Problem with new champs lately is that once they get a lead by a couple of kills they lack counterplay and can completely stomp the game if the player is good If we take morg ... if shes fed there is still counterplay sucj as dodging Q but with later champs lately such as irelia and akali and kayn... they dont have anything to deny them or have that chance to live like with irelia its hard to avoid her when she has that much mobility and a long range ult to pin you in place ... kayn is massive speed and dead in seconds as for akali jfc ... rito need to look at exploring ways of giving champs a weakness cos lately theyre going .... its not so bad if they dont get a couple of kills but the chance of them getting fed amongst a team of random people ...
