I would say it depends. If I'm playing ARAM against an Annie and I'm a mage/marksmen it feels pretty bad just blowing them up over and over knowing they are handicapped by design. Whereas if in that same scenario I'm playing an AD assassin or melee champion then it feels good to know that I'm pushing the envelope correctly if I'm killing them a lot.

With the new uncapped level I think the obvious answer is to raise the level cap 5-10 levels for ranked. It takes no time at all to hit 30 now and I thought that was a problem when they implemented that, but there's much easier ways to fix this than limiting the available options to new ranked players. They would start with an even bigger disadvantage than they already do now compared to people who have been playing the game longer. It would also make absolutely 0 new people see that pre-req and go "yeah that's worth it just to play the competitive mode".

I have less than 50% WR on probably most of my champs. So I shouldn't be able to main my best champions because I lost a few games? GTFO with this shit. I'm lucky to get an S in a month of playing, doesn't mean I'm bad at what I do. But I'm sure me being B3 will ofc invalidate everything I said because I don't have S5 time to get to gold like I did once.
: Yeah no. Look, the idea is to prevent Yahoo's from taking zero experience champs into ranked. I never said how many champs should be level 5 / 50 k points (so maybe something less like 30k). Maybe they could change the # (if it's actually 20) to say 5 or 10 champs. Getting lvl 5 and 30 - 50k mo points isn't that hard or time consuming. But there should be a high bar to play ranked.
I don't have time for that. And what happens when you get an off-role auto fill game??? This is so fucking dumb I can't believe how many times it needs to be explained. If I only have enough time to play 3-5 games in any given week why is my playstyle limited? Jesus H. Christ not everyone who plays this game has 10+ hours every week to get high mastery level. When I play ranked I do it because I desire a competitive environment, not a bunch of snowflake 13 year olds who think I need to have 100+ games on every champion I use to be competent at my role. I have a life and responsibility and my games should not punish me for that.

Then that's their problem. If a champ will ruin your game, ban it. I suck against dive assassins so Akali is my go to ban unless someone asks for a specific ban. It's not Riot's fault you can't play against their champion and refuse to ban it.

As someone who does not simply have the time to do that this idea terrifies me. I've been playing this game for like 6 years+ now, well before champion mastery levels, and while there was a time I could put in 3-5games a day to do that, I have a kid and I'm lucky to get 3 ARAM games in a week now. Why should I be penalized for not having 20 hours free a week to level up some arbitrary number? My skill level on a champion is not determined by how many games I've solo carried or some bullshit, nor should I be prevented from playing champs that I don't get a lot of time on.

: This is exactly how I feel. 3-4 seasons in a row(As long as they've done the season recap thing) He's been my most beaten champ, most killed champ(And most killed by champ), etc. It's not that I can't beat him - Diana v Yasuo isn't that hard to win. The problem is that it literally isn't fun. He has zero downtime, there's no window where I can safely go CS without him chunking me. His only windows are defensive windows - Sometimes his Defenses are down and you have that small bit of time without them. The unfun part is the fact that he has zero OFFENSIVE windows - His attacks are always ready, you can't just say "Okay, he used that and can't chunk me for the next 8 seconds" like you can with basically every other champion.
Oh good his Q is down I can trade! *Gets critical struck for over 1/3 of max HP* Well I guess that 200dmg was worth it.

He's new and people are still learning his abilities and strategies, if he's still pulling insane numbers by early next week we know it's a legit problem but I strongly believe gutting him now will do us no good, it'll take another week to gather meaningful data to determine if the fix was effective. Besides if we get good against op Morde, then we'll only be excellent at playing against him in a weaker state. But this is coming from someone who has, I think, never played against new Morde so maybe it really is that cancerous; I remember when Zoe came out and errbody was raging that she was "OP" but I never found playing against her hard, early mobility and QSS as an ADC, and anytime she was mid in a game of mine I would just roam mid after first back, secure a kill or push her out of lane, and try to use every opportunity to practice dodging her abilities. If you can get familiar with their patterns they use to set up spells/poke/cc then you'll be much more set up for success in any game on any role against them.

As for the xp, dying near an enemy gives the champ xp regardless of attacking or not, not gold for an assist, but xp.

: Just type good job every time you get a kill in bot lane, or aw it was close one- we will win after we get x level or y item completed. Act nice and eventually you will get some suprise honors. I went from honor 0 locked to honor 2 in 5-6 months (March 25 - late August/early September) and by the end of the previus season ( it ended at November 10 i think ) i was honor 2 2/3. I played aproximately 500 games ( 70% were ARAMS or intro bots, 10 % rotating game modes, 20% normals/drafts or ranked solo/flex).
Amazing, it takes me like 2 weeks of playing less than a game a day it feels to get honor lvl 3... this game really is that toxic O.o
: Reminder that the people who are the loudest of course also generally get the most attention, but there is a silent majority instead that dont give a shit if a female champion is attractive OR not and instead look at the gameplay balance aspect.

My wife has had a bad history of epilepsy, upvoting as this would make her pass out if she saw that. She doesn't play but frequently watches my matches as my hype man and watches loads of competitive play with me. This is a baaad oversight.

I would imagine anytime the summoner uses an ability/ changes course the timer would compensate. IDK what everyone's talking about saying this would be a complicated mess, it seems pretty straight forward to me. Have it calculate off movement speed and distance, find the variable from those amounts and any movement path changes would auto ping with the updated time of arrival. The ONLY problematic scenario I can forsee is someone deciding to abandon their original idea to help, but I think if there is a large enough (no idea on parameters for this) time differential there could be a confirm re-ping option, but if it's not confirmed the ping would disappear; I'm envisioning a timed box with only a confirm option that appears for a couple of seconds and if it is allowed to disappear it would cancel the follow up ping and replace it with an "OMW" icon that has an X in the center to signify it is no longer accurate. The whole mechanic I think would be really useful for 5-10+ second travel times, but under 5 seconds just be the "OMW" ping we have now so the summoner knows they are close enough to make a play. Please let me know if this makes sense or if you can think of situation that I didn't initially to flaw this; I'm no software engineer but I do know my LOL
