: Bro, eve requires a fucking miracle to clear the jungle decently, at the point that unless you play her at diamond+ level you can't farm. AND, you need to snowball to be somewhat effective. If you managed to let eve become relevant you might have bigger problems to take care of than an eve oneshotting people.
That doesn't even really hit my point. I'm talking about her assassination pattern, which is unhealthy by Riot's logic. Eve can farm just fine, obviously the higher up in elo you go, the weaker she becomes, but watching IWD stream and Meteos stream, she seems to do just fine in high elo as well with the right hands. The main point of the post was to try and understand why her and Twitch get a free pass by Riot's balance team for their ability to stealth and one shot (teams in the case of twitch), but Rengar get's nerfed into the ground for being "unhealthy"

: Azir Gameplay Update: Goals and Directions
I don't play Azir, but I've played against him many times and here are the problems with Azir when he's strong. His range, DPS and mobility. One of these 3 things needs to be completely removed in his GPU in order for him to function as a champion without crowding out 95% of the mid lane roster. When he's strong, he's overbearing because why would you pick any other champion when you can pick Azir who does everything that team wants in a mid laner all while having the range and mobility to dish out the highest DPS in the game. I know there is going to be a lot of discussion about the shurima shuffle and his range, but one side is going to have to cave in because Azir will never be balanced with mobility, range and DPS.
: Nasus needs to scale harder into the mid- late game
Yes he does need to scale harder into the mid/late game, but his laning phase is so obnoxious. It's utterly boring to lane against Nasus. You can't poke him out of lane because of his passive and pushing him under turret creates a great advantage for Nasus. He needs a mini-scale rework in order to achieve his mid/late game fantasy.

: Can we commend Riot for a second?
There are some things to commend Riot on, but many of the things that you listed Riot had previously promised seasons ago (Sandbox mode) or Solo Queue was was a huge fuck up in Season 6 with Dynamic Queue. Its tough for the community to commend Riot, when last season they threw Dynamic Queue on us and held us captive for an entire season without budging. The communication between Riot and the Community was at an all time low.

: Everyone complaining about Ahri but Lucian 53% Winrate 51% Pickrate?
Riot just needs to push Lucian to a more crit oriented build rather than the on hit build. When on hit items or lethality are broken, Lucian rises to the top. A few things that will help balance Lucian out: 1){{item:3071}} Needs to be melee only. Ranged champs keep abusing the item, its time to restrict the item to only melee users (the intended build targets) 2) Raise mana costs so that Lucian is more inclined to build {{item:3508}} (also an intended item for his kit) 3) Possibly a mini-rework is needed. His W, while cool, feels out of place. His R makes him too generalized because of the range that it offers. I'm a Lucian main, love the champ to death. By far my favorite, but he's been bad for quite some time (some of season 5 and all of season 6). I hope that some changes come soon so I can enjoy playing Lucian again. :)
: > He is fun to play so as long as he isn't terrible everyone wants to play him. That's because playing against him when he's not terrible makes you want to chug a gallon of bleach.
I mean, hes not that cancerous at all. Lucian, while strong right now, still has quite a bit of counterplay attached. He still falls off pretty hard past the 30 minute mark, meanwhile champions like {{champion:67}} {{champion:222}} when they're strong, they end up being lane bullies all while having the best late game scaling out of anybody on the ADC roster. Lucian offers little to nothing to the team and gets bullied out of lane pretty hard.

: he was NEVER a troll pick, when he was considered "weak" he was actually balanced. the thing is there were ADCs that were blatantly op more than him like release {{champion:202}} {{champion:222}} , initial reworked {{champion:96}} {{champion:51}} {{champion:42}} {{champion:104}} so people spammed them. now those op picks are "somewhat" nerfed while he has been buffed 2 times so he is back to being more op than them. he was NEVER weak but ADCs are about who is more blatantly op and not just"balanced".

Lucian had a 44% winrate for much of Season 6, he was not balanced, he was basically a troll pick at that point. 44% winrate on an ADC is really really bad.
: Why is Lucian never just okay?
He's finally in a decent spot after almost an entire season of shiz balls bad. Really, the one thing that really makes Lucian overbearing though is the fact that he can abuse black cleaver.

: Look at pbe, nerfs across the boards to counter damage creep and snowball,. We'll be fine. Do some research before you complain
Right, but that doesn't solve the supports being able to solo ADC's for the entire game or the fact that the crit build that most adc's are supposed to opt into is good.

: How about making all the other ADCs a bit stronger except those two?
I would be down for that, but both Vayne and Caitlyn have parts of their kits that are very unhealthy for the game from the get go. Vayne gets to go the crit ad build and two shot squishies, while being able to wave clear effectively and bust tanks. Caitlyn gets to enjoy having the safest early game out of any ADC, plus being able to abuse traps and eternally zone the enemy team.

: Current Thoughts on Marksmen
@Meddler I hope you're looking at the outliers in the Marksmen role as well. {{champion:51}} and {{champion:67}} are busted right now. They alone crowd out other potential Marksmen picks. {{champion:29}} to a certain extent is also really powerful, but the other 12ish marksman are REALLY lackluster. I really hope you're looking at individual nerfs for these champions as well as a nerf to {{item:3085}}. When Vayne is a pick/ban of the meta, there is a significant balance issue - Scarra.

: Looks like the Riot Balance team has taken a month long holiday break
I understand it's the Christmas holidays and people deserve time off to be with their families and such, but an entire month without meaningful discussion about the state of the game is really troubling. Preseason is all about shaking up balance and following up on changes. This preseason we've seen virtually no follow up changes or even discussions about what was implemented in Season 7. Here are a list of things that Season 7 has introduced that haven't been balanced or even discussed for this entire month. 1) The assassin "rework" has been a failure. Currently the entire class is MIA outside of {{champion:7}} {{champion:107}} and {{champion:55}}. The rest of the class is unplayable with how easy it is to mitigate damage with exhaust/heals/shields. 2) The jungle is completely out of whack. Diversity is at an all time low. Can you keep up with {{champion:64}} clear speed and gank pressure? If so you can be played! If not? Well sucks to suck. 3) 5 man bot lane dives 8ish minutes into the game was a rare sight in LCS at one point, now it happens in virtually all of my games at gold/plat elo. First bot lane to back = auto lose lane and you instantly start the inevitable snowball. (First turret gold is bullshit) 4) top lane is an absolute mess. There is no reason for the jungler to head top. Top lane currently just waits for a fight to break out bot lane and TP down for hopefully a teamfight win that snowballs into a first turret + dragon. Rift Herald is just terrible. Takes too long to take and the buff is meh. 5) redemption + locket has virtually killed the assassin class for how strong and easy the damage mitigation is to activate. Op as hell and still 0 riot discussion on it. 6) Caitlyn has sat at a 53% winrate for most of the preseason with a 30% playrate. Still no nerfs in sight as she currently is killing bot lane diversity. I could name a couple more but it's depressed me. My point is though that even if we are on break, there's no reason to at least have a couple of red posts here and there over the break discussing balance. The game is currently not balanced and has introduced a lot of game health issues that I think are worth discussing.

: Lucian
As a Lucian main, he does need help. He does too low damage for being as low range as he is. In the Jihn/Cait meta, he's naturally countered in lane, plus he doesn't spike as hard mid game as either of those champions, so his damage feels low, plus the armor pen options that are available don't really suit him, so mid game he hits like a wet noodle. With champions like Cait/Jihn/Twitch who all scale well with the zeal items, its hard for lucian to compete damage wise. I'd like to see his range be increased back to 550 honestly and potentially a new ability for his w or e, make them a little more interesting. That's just my two cents
: What if Sejuani had Lee Sin's pick rate and winrate? ( 35% PR and 51% WR)
In all honesty, I would be totally fine if riot came out and said "yep we like Lee sin where he is at because he provides fun and exciting plays for viewers". The problem lies within the fact that Riot is very radio silent about these types of subjects and all in all causes a lot of mistrust from the community towards the balance team. If Riot was more transparent with their balance decisions and consistent, I don't think there would be as much backlash from the community.
: that isn't bias though. lee sin being strong does not have the same implications as sejuani being strong. lee sin being strong means you have to dodge a skillshot sejuani being strong means you need to warp the entire meta around an insane front line with a ranged aoe stun and knockup and massive aoe slow and damage that scales with max hp. You're comparison is shit and you should feel like shit for making it.
lol lee sin has defined the jungle meta for what now? 5 seasons?
