It is a false positive :) update your d effinitions in Norton and it should be fixed :) you may have to restore it from your virus chest :)

It may have been set to delete any potential viruses from your computer after a small time frame. If so I have a Google drive link to a lollauncher backup and all you have to do is add it to the correct folder :)

The latest a vast update should allow league to launch properly :) just try a restart and then reopen league and it should go :)

Try updating your virus deffinitions within your antivirus, they had a issue where things got mixed up and it quarantined your lollauncher.exe. hopefully this helps :)

They just added the virus definitions so update your definitions in avast and try to do a clean install of leauge by uninstalling and also going to your program files folder and deleting your Riot games folder. after try to run the installer again. hopefully that helps..

Anyone else able to verify? I am showing definition version 160212-1. Right-click the icon in the system tray and choose "About Avast" then look at the "Virus definitions version." If it's showing an older version, try updating manually: right-click the tray icon again and choose "Update -> Engine and virus definitions."
To really verify you will unfortunately need to remove your exemption, which may of course quarantine the Launcher again if it's not really fixed. {{item:3070}}

Try a repair on your client it may of put other files in the Virus Chest as well, after run the launcher and check and see if avast has any other files in the chest and just restore and exclude them :)

Dont worry ill get a copy of my lolClient for you to download and add back to your folder. then run league and let avast report it as a false positive and just follow my guide on how to get it fixed :)

It still could be the problem, when avast quarantines a potential virus it will keep it there in the "Virus Chest even if avast is uninstalled. i would recommend reinstalling avast and following my guide to exclude avast from the LOLLauncher.exe file.
Also if it does work or you bump for others :)

Did you restore and add to exclusions the most recent LOLLauncher.exe in the list? if so then maybe try all of them and overwrite the previous restore when it asks.

You can still use avast it was just a minor error from riot. heres my guide getting you back on the rift :) and also updats from riot on the original fourm post and the fix :)
