: imo Best damage build... {{item:3153}} {{item:3085}} {{item:3046}}, LW item/ {{item:3031}} Best Ult bot utility build... {{item:3508}} {{item:3085}}, {{item:3031}}, LW item/{{item:3153}} most of the time for Solo Q ops, I just go for the damage build, if Ashe Ult is what your team is relying on for hard CC the game's probably lost in any event
Yeah, I've been looking at that build as well. I like how the damage build gives really high AS with BotRK and two AS/Crit Items. The only thing I don't like about that build is it leaves no room for an MR item if you would need one. Thoughts on swapping BotRK for Mecurial Scimitar?
: > [{quoted}](name=msk51,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=EPoAIKtF,comment-id=00040000,timestamp=2017-06-30T03:17:16.285+0000) > > Dude Shiv is actually insane right now. xD I saw it on Sivir and I was like where did the wave go?!?!?! XD And all these Energized items play off each other. With this build, you get damage, range, lifesteal, RFC makes it charge faster, and it affects turrets.
Dang.... gonna have to try that soon. Although I gotta say, I miss the Runaans Hurricane headshot interaction with cait.... :(
: First, understand that these builds will do slightly different things. You could pick a build based on the style you want to play. (Can't say much about which style is best) The ER builds are your utility builds. It will give you ample use of your utility spells, namely your ult. But you will sacrifice your higher end damage chosing ER over IE. BotRK is probably your best Early game option. It will allow for more sustain early, which is useful if your support doesn't offer sustain. BC might be a good second item. It synergizes with her Q, and the combined two items will make you a Tank shreder. And then there's your IE build, which will probably offer the best late game damage. Personally, I would only start with the BF sword, then complete your AS/Crit item, before completing IE.
Makes sense! What are your thoughts on ER -> AS/Crit Item -> IE? You get utility and damage, but lose out on AS. I've seen this build paired with BotRK and it seemed to work well.
: The best ADC build right now is what's called the Energized build. Now, I'm not sure if it's good on Ashe specifically, but it's pretty legit on every other ADC, so why not? Keystone: Warlord's Bloodlust (gives Energized for lifesteal) First Item: BORK or BF Sword Second Item: Statikk Shiv (damage on Energized from Warlord's, can crit) Third Item: Rapid Firecannon (increased range on Energized, hits turrets) Fourth Item: Infinity Edge (because damage)
Dude Shiv is actually insane right now. xD I saw it on Sivir and I was like where did the wave go?!?!?! XD
: I don't play much ashe (only Rank 4 on her) but my personal build is reaver > runnans > IE > Bt > Tabi/Berserkers and either PD, LDR or merc scim. Probably not the best, but its what I run, tends to work when I need it to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Haha, yeah. I tend to like Reaver in my builds as well, the CDR is really nice on her volley and arrow.

Sounds cool, I feel like it's a little OP tho.... Maybe remove the blink? I mean people talk about Zhonya being op for an ADC, but now you're adding a blink to it. xD

: my buddies and i have done this in customs also and we prefer it also. we've also done three solo lanes and a counter jungler and it worked well too.
Lol, that sounds like fun. xD
: This looks really fun, I only see ~~two~~ three problems. First is lane safety, as described here by **Level 18 Feeder** > [{quoted}](name=Level 18 Feeder,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=XbAEyG6E,comment-id=0001,timestamp=2017-04-04T16:58:46.200+0000) > > The midlane is gank protection for the midlaner (usually immobile mage) due to close proximity to turret. The side lanes have a much further distance from turret safety so putting the solo mage in a long lane makes then VERY easy to gank. Second is access to jungle buffs; if you end up on the bottom left side of the map, your mid laner is farther from blue buff. This is more a relic of the meta, since not all midlaners are dependent on blue buff now, but it is still significant. This could be solved by switching top and bottom lane. Lastly, whoever goes bottom lane will need enough sustain and waveclear to hold off the duo lane bot that they will likely face. If they can't protect their tower then there's little benefit to it unless you can trade for mid and open the center of the enemy's map.
I see your points, but 1) I've had many supps dc on me and honestly, if you play back and ward tri you should be fine. I have had junglers tower dive me but I almost always got a kill back. 2) Completely valid point. No response to be made. xD 3) I was saying if both teams did this. So if moving your duo lane to mid became standard across all League games and all teams, not just a few people doing it.
FooDang (NA)
: Its a bad strat. vs a competent enemy duo bot the solo bot laner will be denied cs AND experience due to it being a long lane. Most midlaners abilities are AOE and if they use any on the minions it will auto push lane and pretty much zone themselves out of significance. Once zoned they will be starved on levels and items. After that bot will be juicy for a 3 man dive for first blood AND first blood turret due to no fortifications bot lane. Its not a recommended strat imo.
Right, I agree. That's why I was saying if both teams did it. If this became standard across league.
: The midlane is gank protection for the midlaner (usually immobile mage) due to close proximity to turret. The side lanes have a much further distance from turret safety so putting the solo mage in a long lane makes then VERY easy to gank. This is why you need a support in the side lane as gank protection, and top laners are often fairly safe due to the champs picked in that lane being durable or having escapes Making duo mid with closeness to turret will make then very hard to gank, but you're giving double gank protection while leaving another lane totally open
But if the mid laner wards well he should be fine, I've had many supps dc on me as ADC and all I did was play back and ward tri and if the jg did tower dive me, I usually was able to get a kill back.

But how can you release a gay character then? Release a comic that includes a gay character. BAM. ANNOUNCED. Not really. It doesn't work like that. Otherwise everything is announcing. Garen x Katarina, is that a annoucing for you too? Yes, Blizzard said Tracer is lesbian, but from twitter, a response. People weren't sure about her homosexuality, they said she can also be bisexual, pansexual etc. They just clarified it. If It wasn't asked, they wouldn't say that.
Right, but my whole point is why does the character have to be gay??? Why do they have to "announce" anything? For the Garen/Kat thing, 1) I do think that is kind of dumb tbh.... It seems unnecessary and would rather have the lore without it. 2) Not saying this is right, but let's face it. Being gay is very controversial. Being straight is not. That's my whole point, why is a video game addressing controversial topics? This is where I go to get away from that stuff.

They did not announce her though? They just released a comic about christmas and everyone lost their mind about how Trace is gay and It is forced, when It was just a comic. They didn't say, '' HEY LOOK, TRACE IS GAY XD''
I see where you are coming from, but Blizzard still clearly showed that Tracer was gay, no way around it. So they basically announced it through a comic, same result, different means of getting there. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Blizzard officially state that she way gay?

: That is exactly my point. And you don't sound "homophobic" to me. I understand where you are coming from.
I'm not entirely sold on the fact that being gay is not a choice, why do you think it is? (Honest question, not sarcastic. Genuinely trying to see where ya come from. :D) I have a gay friend and he tells me all the time that the stupidest thing from the gay community is the idea that being gay is not a choice. He is strongly against the idea and says I choose to be gay, in the same way that people choose to be straight.
: IDK I'm really not a fan at all of the voting system on these boards. Any topic that is at all controversial is buried no matter how interesting or insightful. but every stupid LEE SIN NEED REWORK thread is upvoted to the top of the front page for days, like a banner screaming 'every poster here is bronze af!'
XD So true tho!!! XD

While I agree with you, I believe we have to careful to not only look at one side. For example, Christians argue that bakers don't have to bake a cake for gays because it is the business's right. But then they said that youtube cant take down a video because of it's Christian message. Can't have it both ways, both are private companies. But I know what you mean, it's very hypocritical. And from my experience, it's usually those who talk about "tolerance" who give the most death threats. XD But overall I completely agree with you. People on both sides are hypocritical.

That is exactly my point. And you don't sound "homophobic" to me. I understand where you are coming from.
: GET RID OF AUTOFILL
I think auto fill in ranked queue is a terrible idea. Auto fill in norms is fine, at least in my opinion.
: First of all I barely said anything to you, but people who try to deny the importance of representation of minorities tend to be a bit homophobic/racist/etc. I don't want to overstate representation in media as an issue because that does happen a lot, but I don't want to understate it either. it does matter to people, to see themselves reflected in their favorite characters, or can make a character a favorite because it gives them something to connect to. I do get the feeling you seem kinda threatened by it. Whatever, I was barely callin you out or anything. Second, if you're trying to escape debate, why are you on a game forum where people just have stupid arguments all day?
And in defense of the original post, I have no idea why it has -6 likes (might change later). You were just asking a question, not even making a statement. If it's people who just see the word gay then downvote it, I think that's stupid.

: Oh, I don't play lux support. She's too damagy that it's hard to play her there for me. I go thresh and kench support.
Oooooo, thresh. I like it.
: I kind of hope they do, but I also know that it would lead to a lot of backlash on Lux. But hey, more lux for me right? Oh man, I should play some lux tonight.
Sounds good to me!! Just please, don't Lux support unless you use your shield... I've had bad experiences with lux supp players. XD
: Exactly! It's like, if you're going to demand respect, reply to the entire argument, and don't insult! Worst arguer I ever got ignored the main part of my argument for several weeks, and when I suggested he stop using words like "destroy" and "obliterate" when referring to his perceived victories over other people in the debate, he just quoted the "please stop using words" part, and then said he couldn't follow my troglodyte whims. You're good though. Mind if I add you?
Wow, that's a tough one. XD It's so annoying. I also tell myself they don't think they can actually defend their own stance so they just attack you instead. :P For sure! msk51. :D
: I mean, I ####ing love new Galio. I wish I had my own Galio. But yeah, my only real counter to that is that it's a lore thing, doesn't effect gameplay. I know you won't, but please don't say "lore and gameplay are no different" like so many people say. They always act like a character being gay makes them unplayable, and it's just like... lol wut? how would they be unplayable?
Lol, I won't say that and I agree, that makes so sense. XD My response to that would be exactly, it's lore. It doesn't impact gameplay, it doesn't really benefit league in a significant way. msk51 (NA)
: Not at all. If Riot said that Lux was not gay I wouldn't like that either. Look, stop trying to paint me as someone who hates gays. I don't. I'm the very opposite of that. My entire argument is why does this stuff have to be in a video game?? It's going to generate feeling in people and just like in overwatch, they'll take those feeling out in game. I don't want to play League if players are going to debate whether being gay is right or not. I'll fight for my what I believe in, I even participate in speech and debate. But in a video game? Please, I come here to get away from my debates.
That was not a sarcastic, "Please, I come here to get away from my debates." That was a pleading please. XD
: kinda sounds like you're suddenly against lore when a character is gay to me lol there's a tendency from people who maybe don't realize that they're being prejudiced or sound prejudiced, where they try to act like suddenly the issue doesn't matter or they just don't want to hear about it. IE: when gay marriage was a big fight there was suddenly a lot people going 'well why does government even get involved in any marriages lol' as a way to be against gay marriage without being explicit about it. something for you to reflect on
Not at all. If Riot said that Lux was not gay I wouldn't like that either. Look, stop trying to paint me as someone who hates gays. I don't. I'm the very opposite of that. : Well yeah, but people will be controversial over everything. I've seen people get more heated about the galio rework than I ever have about lgbt rights.
True, but that's game related and something we can all get behind. The controversy is for the game and about the game, it's League related. But I get what you're saying.
: Gonna note that you're actually pretty polite on this topic, and I like how you're phrasing your side of the argument peacefully. You're not demanding that they not do it, but just saying that you'd rather they not. Hats off to you!
Haha, thank you! I wish the world could debate like this, not just scream and yell and attack the other person's mother. It makes no sense to me. xD
: "I don't have any problems with gay people I just don't want to see them in my games" lol
Bruh, I have gay friends in league. Do I mind? Newp. Do I want the community to blow up and have every game become a debate between people who support gays and those who dont? Newp. Don't twist my words, you know very well what I said. If you have a problem with what I said, address that, the words that I typed. Don't make up my words and then address that.
MagÊ (EUW)
: Lissandra new passive HOLY SHIT
Legit, that sounds like such a fun and amazing passive. Lich bane maybe? xD
: Or just learn to keep the caps lock on when you type. :P And throw in gratuitous swearing and insult the opponent's mother. That always works. If you can't break their argument, break their spirit so they can't argue back rationally.
Good point!! XD Wish we had more people like you. You seem like a cool person. :) If you want you can add me, username is Msk51
: The funny thing is that the people who say that and live for the "acceptance and tolerance" act this way to people with different view points, intolerant and hateful. Yet they accuse people for hating when hatred isn't even their motivation half the time. It's all hypocritical. I don't care for that stuff either.
Agreed. Personally, I love a good debate. I actually participate in speech and debate myself. But half the time people don't even debate anymore, they just yell at each other and whoever screams loudest wins. Guess I better start training my vocal cords now. xD It all comes down to the fact that it's a video game. I would encourage a debate on the subject, but not in my video game.
msk51 (NA)
: Idk, a lot of people hate me for this. I've gotten the usual "go kys" replies when I talked about this with Tracer. I had one guy who said "I hope you die alone in your church where all you gay haters live." :( I'm not even a gay hater, I just don't care for that in my video games.
Lol, I guess League isn't the only toxic community. xD
: I agree for the most part.

: To be fair, at least half of those things are impossible in the game, as religion wouldn't be the same. Also I don't think abortions are really possible in that world.
Right, but the idea is the same. Riot should generally stay away from controversial topics in my opinion.
: is it that much of a political statement to make a character gay? I guess its always politically charged. but her bio is already coded with tons of gay language around her being a mage
I think it is, considering the amount of debate and controversy over the subject. I'm not saying this debate and controversy is correct or should exist, but it does. And I think Riot should be careful of that.
: Sadly I cannot sign autographs but a Thank You for the kind comment should suffice you. Right now EU and NA are so far behind the Asian teams/regions that it's becoming a reality for the Western regions to honestly work together, scrim, live, sleep(no homo) to be like brothers. EU and NA can have their own playoffs similar to how it is right now but in the regular season NA and EU teams compete with each other like a every weekend situation. One day G2 could be facing H2K and the next face TSM, every team faces each other twice or so etc. The reason for it is because EU and NA the scrimming each other's teams/regions serves no purpose honestly. TSM can scrim C9 300 times but what's the point it's your own region's team and TSM faced C9 multiple times. Teams/players/people who live together in the same place or area tend to do the same s$it as each other, their tendacies become so predictable that you can bet your shinny penny the better region can read your weaknesses better than your own region can. You travel to Africa and say " Man, these people look weird or strange" but you're the stranger to them and to them you look strange, you have the different persona from them. NA does things better than EU and EU does things better than NA and for X amount of weeks or how long the season might be Eu can help NA on how to win in the situations that NA might be garbage at and vice versa. -- To answer your question NO, NA still gets 3 teams and same for EU. Both regions keeps it's playoffs separated but for the regular seaoson/splits only are the two regions teams combined. The thing that's a problem is the servers I'v been told before that the servers for NA and EU isn't as good or cant reach or something IDK cause I'v never played in EU as a resident of NA so. yeah
Huh, neat idea! I think if a few logistics like servers could be fixed that might result in an improved system. Would we do the same for the Asian regions? (China, Korea, etc.)
: Well, of course not. But many people prefer characters they can identify with on some level. So if her sexual orientation was confirmed or denied either way, it would almost certainly separate her a bit from some players, while also tying her in closer with others. Besides that, there's people like me, who just want to _know_ the character. The details of the information are irrelevant, so long as they make sense (obviously), but simply having the information is nice.
I want to preface this statement by saying that I am not flaming, toxic or judging you in any way. :D I see where you are coming from, but you can't deny the fact that the gay community has been the target of some pretty intense debates recently. Personally I support being gay, go for it if you are in to that. But announcing that you are gay or not bring up certain emotions in people. It's 100% unnecessary for Riot to say either way. If they say Lux is gay or not, the community blows up. I get your points, and I love in-depth characters as well. But I think Riot should stay away from certain subjects purely so they don't stir up the players base. I played overwatch when they announced that Tracer was gay and that resulted in every game someone feeling the need to announce the fact that "tracer is gay". This would often result in a debate between players on whether it was a good decision or not. I come to video games to get away from this kind of stuff and have a good time with friends, the last thing I want to see is a bunch of debates in league games. I guess you have to look at the pros and cons. pros - We get to know that character a little bit deeper and a few people get to identify with her cons - the community blows up, often in a negative way (not saying this is right) people get offended and in some cases stop playing the game (not saying this is right) random, unnecessary debates pop up in game, resulting in a negative experience for those trying to avoid the topic (same thing that happened in overwatch) I'm not against people being gay. I'm against League announcing whether or not people are gay, aren't gay, are Muslim, are Christian, are for abortion, are against abortion, are for immigrants, are against immigrants or any other hotly contested topic in todays society. Yes there is a place to discuss those issues and I myself participate in speech and debate where sometimes that comes up. But personally, I don't want to see it in League.
: I agree, I like my characters having a personality, but some parts left ambigous so you cam see ypurself in the character.
I hear ya. It honestly just seems so forced. I'd be against it if Riot said Lux was straight, gay, Christian, Muslim, for abortion, against abortion, or any other of the hot topics today. I'm here to play a video game and enjoy myself, that's it.
: Doesn't have to be a political or cultural statement. I think it could just be a character point. It's not like having a gay character has to be for "correctness."
Right, but look, no one can deny the fact that there is debate over the subject. Am I against gays being part of society? No. Do I want my video games to be filled with hot topics in the world today? No. I've heard the argument with Tracer, why does announcing that she is gay create controversy? Isn't being gay a normal part of life? Sure, but it is still a contested topic today that generates debate. It would be like if they announced that Lux had an abortion. It doesn't matter if you are against abortion or not, but because of the controversy over the subject, it will stir up feelings in people, feelings that I'd rather play league without.
: I've been watching for the same reasons lol
Haha, its amazing what you can learn from it!
: Some of the Casters are fairly well versed in the game and highly ranked. My favorite is Dash. {{sticker:slayer-jinx-catface}}
He's great! I feel like Jatt provides amazing analysis but can ramble for too long sometimes. Phreak is fun, I love his puns. XD
: I personally have been enjoying the " Dive" I love the radio sound of it, the way it presents itself and how easy it is to hit play on the "DIve button" and look at stuff on the internet while listening to The Dive, I really enjoy it! The problem I have with The Dive and it's nothing against Riot or anyone is talking about subjects like ( franchising teams, adding a more suitable and equal NA/EU schedule for both regions instead of experimenting with 2 different concepts for the past year or so ( The EU BO2 / NA BO3), ( The 5 -5 division EU). Possibly combining EU and NA into 1 region and call it The West. No player career stats to be found or a library of those stats, no mention of that topic. Real topics at it's highest. Yes, again I enjoy the DIVE currently I only listened to 1 but I'm hooked, however talking about Meta/patches we get that all the time, in gameplay from crying fans, we see meta/patch notes on the website, before we log in, once we log in. I can look at patch notes and or other sites concerning Cho'Gath's ult or how many minons he can eat before you turns into a beautiful blue berry bug. Nothing against the topics that they do talk about but at the same time KEEP them that's 100% fine but I want to hear/listen/discuss outside of just "the game" but about the current state of the LCS, possible state teams so the LCS feels more global and diverse around a region instead of just in 1 city for the past 6-7 years. Possibly Jatt and Co. can take calls from fans asking Jatt and Co. about certain things like a radio station so the channel doesn't seem so dead and instead of fans/listeners/viewers of the current League product feeling like we're being spoon fed with BS at every turn. It will make the topics even that more real and heard from the "horses mouth" instead of questions that we really have no idea on paper are actually from fans( not saying this happens or true!) but I for one would call up and ask certain questions freely to see if it is "pre-recorded" of information that isn't for the people but written by the people you know ?
DUDE!!! I love your suggestions, being able to call in would be amazing!! And I like the idea of combining the EU and NA LCS, but I feel like it could get a bit messy, like at worlds would only 3 teams go from Europe and North America now?
: So is Lux gay?
Honestly, I would hate it if Riot announced that she was or even wasn't gay/bi. This is a video game and I come here to play a game and have a great time with friends and the community. I don't come here to receive a political or cultural statement.
