: Winning doesnt even feel fun anymore
That's because you don't earn your wins anymore you're given them by superior champion picking! You're no longer playing a strategy game you're now playing a champion simulator.

: Luckily, first turret now also gives a 950g total - further reinforcing the team with the worst player loses the game. These turret changes further enhances snowballing. I already hate the changes - keep total tower gold to 250g/550g (would prefer 250g/400g), can we? Or at least keep the 800g plating on outer turrets, so there's a real chance of comebacking, and meaning in defending outer turrets further in the game. I've already promised myself if Riot doesn't take another direction with their "snowbally, one shot burst, dashes and knock-ups everywhere" clown fiesta, I'm gonna stop. Game is just not truly fun anymore. It's like 1/4th fun, 3/4th bashing your head through a brick wall. Season 5 for me was the high point of the game. Back when you had boot enchants, upgradeable vision trinkets, a more tactical approach to laning and teamfights overall, no keystones to break balance (and less god damn burst, due to ie. no duskblade, no keystones and no stormrazor), no mage rework (lol). Tanks felt tankier... Ofcourse there was bullshit back then too - there's just a lot more of it now... EDIT: The expression "One step forward, two steps back" fits the balance team in a nutshell.
Two steps back? More like 200 steps back.

: Games Feel Terrible: Short & Less Strategic
What did you expect from a company whose ban system not only doesn't punish cheating but actively encourages it by rewarding the cheaters with banning the people that get mad at them? Don't expect a bad company to become good ever let alone over night.

: On the topic of the thread, though, it's because the account _never_ played norms. So it had no norms MMR. Your very first norms game was a 20/6 Garen game. That set your MMR that high.
: It doesn't matter if you are unranked, bronze, or plat. In normals the average elo of each team is about equal. If there's a diamond vs a silver in one lane, then another lane has a bronze vs a plat. This doesn't make it fair, but the elo of each TEAM is balanced. So if you're truly playing vs a challenger - first off I'm pretty sure they wouldn't waste time on a normals match - then you or someone on your team has challenger elo rating whether you've ever played ranked or not. Or if not that, then say 2 of you have master tier rating and the next highest ranked person on the other team would have elo equivalent of diamond. There's plenty of people though who use accent marks, etc. to make it look like they have the exact same name as a challenger or pro player - which is a far more believable possibility than that you are actually facing a challenger in a random normals game.
