: Half the balancing team can't accept that her true stealth needs to go, so they have to nerf her down to a 40% winrate to try and lower her ban rate.
is she even worth playing at this point? in your opinion or is the nerfs just to big right now?

: The borders aren't available for all load screens or champions. They're only available for the corresponding Lunar skin, and you must be using the Lunar skin for the border to show up. The revel skin shards being worth it or not would be a personal preference. Keep in mind that it gives you just that; a shard. Regardless of what you get, you will still need orange essence to unlock the skin shard it gives you.
damn, im glad i didn't pay any real money for those things i don't think those borders are much worth than since I'm not gonna buy any of those skins. Thank you for giving me so much insight.

I'm a bit late on this reply but it really depends on you. I'm a pretty competitive person, but I don't have as much time as I'd like to play. The difference between a Gold player and a Plat player is pretty trivial; a Gold player will be mechanically decent. but they won't know subtle aspects of the game like wave manipulation, level/item spikes, map pressure, and win conditions. In other words, it starts getting very hard to actually get better at the game past Gold. This is literally why so many Master/Challenger players are one tricks, they get SO GOOD at one champion that they can muscle through a game just by being that damn skilled at their champ. Learning the subtleties is really, really hard and it always changes because of patches. On the other hand, if you're just looking for rewards then there really isn't a reason to grind past Gold. I took a month off so I've been playing normals with a newbie friend, but I hate how casual everyone is. In my solo normal games, like draft, it's not competitive at all. If I played champs I excelled at, I would roflstomp my lane opponent every single game. I'd never learn anything, I'd plateau, etc etc. TL;DR If you enjoy the competitive nature of ranked games, I say grind on. If you want rewards (and to shit on bad kids in normals) then gold it up.
Thank you so much, best advice feel free to add me for some norms or maybe even flex (I play flex when I want to rank but still have fun) @PoeticPOV is my tag

: Yeah man, check op.gg for champ win rates and pick rates. Last season I pretty effortlessly climbed with Ahri and she was pretty clearly busted as I kept winning even after she was nerfed. I only played around 200 ranked games total and ended the season Gold 2. I would shoot for playing roughly 500 ranked games. Most important thing is to try to win every game. Sounds easy, but this is really an attitude thing. Rallying your team, reminding them that they enemy might be more skilled but we could have better teamwork. Secondly, one trick a champ. Stop relying on other champs if you consistently lose (mine is Fizz). Don't try to counter pick in lane or pick for your team if you aren't comfortable with the champ. At Gold elo, you can single-handedly carry almost any game. In my example, Ahri, sometimes my bot would feed or top would int over and over and they would want to give up, so I'd say 'hey they kept you down early but we are all really strong bc you absorbed pressure' so we would group and Ahri's AOE would literally shit on their entire team because they're really bad. I was playing to Ahri's strengths (getting picks/roams early and melting frontline/carries in team fights). Whatever your champ is (if they're actually broken like Ahri was) you will have no problem climbing (another qualifier: if you're good enough to climb). Ignore pro play. You are not a pro.
hey first off id like to say thanks so much for advice and insight, i only have 1 more question for you. do you think its worth climbing after gold? besides borders. in your honest opinion?
