: Only semi-related and I apologize for that, but are there any plans to cross-post some of the other preseason changes to the Dev Corner for a wider discussion? I would really like to give feedback since my main is getting reworked, but I don't have a PBE account and it seems like the only way to reach you guys is just to post in Gameplay or something and hope somebody notices it. If not I understand. Thanks!

If not I understand. Thanks! Yeah, agreed - was just talking about how these posts are hard to find/hard to comment otherwise. Want to try to get PBE feedback first from player who have the capability of testing the changes out, but over time we're talking about moving the threads over so everyone can contribute. Would still post on Gameplay since we're going through Boards regularly, but if you reply with your thread post link, I can forward it to the roster team just in case.
: I feel like it's a good direction to take for replacing the smite-consuming jungle buffs. For now the only concern I have is with the blasting cone, it doesn't really feel like a buff, but if you want to ship more interactive gameplay then I could understand it; it just could feel really frustrating to get your earned kill denied by the random spawn of that particular plant, and that brings me to my question: are you able to see the "seeding timers" on the enemy jungle too so that you can kind of play around that? And that seeding timer gives you information about what plant is about to spawn?

And that seeding timer gives you information about what plant is about to spawn? Yeah. The idea here is that you'll be able to see the plant's status, regardless of its position. A plant grows in three phases - seed, sapling, then full. The first two phases are meant purely for telegraphing and denial, while the third phase the plant is fully grown and can be used for any of the three intents (tactical positioning, vision, or health.) While watching players use the new plants, I've found that Blast Cone has actually been used the most competitively, but the upfront concern is valid. Will say this: players who don't have good map awareness and can't adapt to their surroundings will probably not take advantage of these.
: if plants turn out to be a bad idea for some reason, will you remove them or try to salvage them? In the past y'all have seemed very stubborn about not deleting things bad for overall game health (yasuo, ekko, frozen mallet), and I'm worried that if this does not succeed, the game will turn into a pile of crap.

Yeah. I think there's a vein of concern here I want to curb that plants are final, and that's definitely not the case. These are experimental, as with all Preseason changes (and we've been keeping tabs on Plants sentiment specifically because we know these are pretty different), so we're going to use this period in time to see how they fly - because we really aren't sure. They may play out well, or - to your guys' points - break the game. While I can say plants have been used in tactical, calculating ways in playtests to get the upper hand, you guys will be the real test of whether these changes are actually compelling and hold muster competitively. Hit up Fearless, myself, or any of us in the comments once you try them out.
: Well yesterday I was playing on the new map after reading on this thread that a hotfix had been released. Fortunantely, the fix seemed to have stopped my laptop from getting any fps drops even during the most visual teamfights. However, today I once again experienced huge fps drops during teamfights for unknown reasons. Could it be champion related? To specify I had the following champions on my team: Nami, Jinx, Aatrox, Morgana, Lee Sin, Nocturne, Darius, Graves, Blitzcrank and Viktor. To further clarify: I could run the old Summoner's Rift on the highest settings and on 1080p without any problems.

I'm starting to wonder if this is the case as well. Got a few reports about specific Champions here: Riven, Thresh, Warwick. Unfortunately, the Champions you've listed are none of these, but it's helpful to see someone who has experienced this and has not depending on the game. If you run into more drops for specific Champions, that will be helpful. Our current thought is to dig into things that would be Champion-specific and see if we can continue to optimize here (ex. VFX, sound.) We'll update via usual channels like this thread if we find something more here.
: Hello Riot, I have been experience "hitching" as you've referred to it since the new SR was released. I get it in both the new map and the old (in a custom bot game still played on the old SR). It's a constant .5 - 1sec lag throughout the entire game, usually starting once minions spawn. I've tried changing video settings to no avail (I normally run on Very High). I downloaded today's hotfix, and it's still happening. I know you are working to correct this, and I hope it happens soon. I have attached my DxDiag as you requested.

Could you send your r3dlogs to us as well?
: i haven't had any trouble with the new map, until yesterday when i played Warring Kingdoms J4. Even after i turned down the visual settings, my fps would fluctuate between ~20-55 (capped at 60), and when there were 3 or more champions on the screen at the same time (like during a gank or teamfight), it would consistently drop to 2 fps. I don't have a log to submit now; i'll try it again tonight and send the log if i have any more issues.

The fixes in the small patch today are intended to alleviate the issues you're seeing. Good or bad, a before/after check will give us good insight.
: Not sure if this issue fits in with this forum, but here it is. I have a MacBook Pro laptop and prior to the new patch and SR update had no issues playing. Since the new patch and SR update I can get through champion select just fine, however, once logged into a game my mouse stops working. I can't even use the mouse pad on the laptop. It doesn't matter if I'm on the old or new SR. I've restarted and even uninstalled LoL and nothing has worked. I've also tried multiple different mouses. HELP!!!!

This is a different problem, but we're also looking into this issue. Once we get a fix, will see if we can get an update on the patch notes for visibility.

: I have just finished a game after downloading the patch. Didn't have the lag drops as before. Thank you, Riot. Now I can be at ease. What was causing this problem, btw?
> I have just finished a game after downloading the patch. Didn't have the lag drops as before. Thank you, Riot. Now I can be at ease. > What was causing this problem, btw? Some of the audio wasn't preloading correctly, so you would hitch as you loaded audio in-game. Any VFX associated with that audio would also load in during the game, which would cause additional hitching. Secondly, there was a high amount of error logging that we didn't need anymore but was also contributing to the hitching, so we cleaned that up too.
: Can't upload multiple logs in one post ;9
> Can't upload multiple logs in one post ;9 Thanks for the logs. We'll look into this further.
: On the new summoner's rift when Thresh souls are on the ground, my fps drops from 70~ to 30~
Hey there. Were you playing with a particular skin? Also, could you send your r3dlogs to us?
