: Let's chat, GD. When was the last time you did something good for someone else?
I work third shift at a gas station, and I see all kinds of folks. One of my regular customers is an elderly lady who likes to stay and chat awhile whenever she comes in. She asked me last week if I could spare $5 for gas, and I gave it to her. That's all, just gave a regular customer some gas money.

Megaman X4: Love this game to pieces but it is WAY too damn easy with X. You can practically beat that game with your eyes closed. Bosses just have no chance if you use a fraction of your brain. At least with Zero you actually had to think about what you were doing against them. Mischief Makers: You had to collect these stupid little damn items through the game in order to see the ending, and you needed EVERY DAMN ONE or the ending would get cut off. If I went back and played it now I might feel differently, but I remember loving that game except for that aspect back when I played it.

New players who want to be competitive should start with the Standard format, where you can buy a preconstructed deck and some boosters to brew your own deck and have it be somewhat successful. From there, you go to FNM to compete, get a feel for what the local meta is like, and adjust your deck accordingly. It's not for everyone, obviously, but that'd be the best path I can think of for a brand new player.

: from the end of this message, you have 20 seconds to decide
First, I'd be at a horrible disadvantage to begin with since I don't play toplane much, but if I did somehow end up top going against a Fiora, I'd choose either Jayce or Pantheon. Both are champions I'm fairly comfortable with and both can farm relatively safely regardless of jungle pressure.
: GD, What is your stance towards abortion?
I am pro-choice, although tbh I really hate the terms pro-choice and pro-life. They imply that being one invalidates the other, which is completely untrue. I doubt you'd find many people who are against making choices, and I equally doubt you'd find many people who are against life. It's for or against abortion, and who gets to make that decision. Personally, I believe that it should be the pregnant woman's decision, because after all it is her body. For those of you who believe all abortions are acts of murder, I'd challenge you to define murder, and then ask yourself at what point a fetus becomes capable of being murdered. For quite some time after conception, a fetus is little more than a group of cells that have no conscious thought. The big question then becomes when does a fetus become self-aware? I would argue that after that point, an abortion would indeed become murder.

You can still AA, cast spells, use items, and summoner spells as long as they do not move you. For instance, let's say you're Caitlyn and Morg Q's you. : Who is your OP U.R.F pick?
Jayce is a lot of fun. Your Q comes off cd fast enough to get two of them through his Acceleration Gate. You can also combo his abilities ridiculously well. Since E->Q is up so frequently it makes laning very safe. I was against an Ekko earlier and he couldn't get close until he hit six, and even then you can poke him down so hard that he dies to Hammer form Q>E.

: Alright... that's it... No more playing League for me...
As someone who has played since Season 1, I'm pretty excited by the changes. Some things seem like they could be problematic, sure, but I'm not ready to pull the trigger on the doom and gloom cannon just yet. Also, [this was an interesting red comment.](http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/developer-corner/jun5Iyp4-general-changes-to-objectives-for-mid-season?comment=0007000000030000)
Echoing (NA)
: Yeah, sure. I liked the gold thing, since it gave a new objective, but the rest of the kit basically hamstrung itself with its short range for a mage and debuffs that locked each other out. Without the ult, Mox was fairly ineffectual - you could poke him with any mage's superior range and some ADCs' own auto range, and the only spell you had to hit them applied the worst debuff of the lot since reducing an enemy's penetration was totally worthless early on and only mostly worthless in late-game. Everything changes after your ult - and not for the better. Even at your worst, where you've been totally shut down and deprived of items, ulting lets you mindlessly mash W and remove all CC from your allies in a frankly ludicrous range. 100 units = 1 Teemo, for the record. Gangplank's ult has a radius of 600, for comparison. Being able to cleanse what amounts to your entire team lets you completely negate the contributions of numerous champions with little opportunity to stop you, and that's far, far too overpowering. Never mind the horrors of being ahead and simply facerolling on the keyboard while having your cursor on the target - mana notwithstanding, you'd vaporize most targets in about two, maybe three rotations, while being able to spam heals and remove non-hard CC at will. The short of it is that the champion is generally underpowered until the ultimate comes online, whereupon the other team loses barring some sick Faker play. You'll want to consider counterplay and general feeling when playing your champion in addition to the kit constraints, and I highly recommend you look up some numbers on comparable skills if you're stuck, especially in regards to range. Gem Merchant is still a lame title, even if it does describe your passive. You're in the League of Legends, act like you belong fighting alongside the Might of Demacia, the Cryophoenix, the Dark Child, the Eternal Nightmare, and the Virtuoso.
> [{quoted}](name=Echoing,realm=NA,application-id=A8FQeEA8,discussion-id=e7KYjAwj,comment-id=00150000,timestamp=2016-04-19T20:15:10.319+0000) > > First, thanks for the response, I appreciate it! I liked the idea behind the passive, although as some others have pointed out, it's way overtuned. I think if I tweaked the numbers around I could make it work. My first thought with creating Mox was to have a debuff mage that wasn't a doom and gloom kind of character. I was concerned about the kinds of debuffs, and what exploits might arise being able to constantly just weaken other champions. I made a critical error in not specifying the range of the effect W has, and pretty much everyone rightly pointed out that the current listed range is way too damn good for a heal+cleanse effect. I don't think that having them both on a single spell is all that bad, but definitely both effects shouldn't be in an AoE like that. Again, thanks for your additional feedback, it's been very helpful! I appreciate the time you took.

Apologies for misunderstanding the post, no reason to be rude about it. I would imagine the context for using 'mute' in chat has an impact on whether it's reportable or not. For instance, asking a teammate to mute another teammate who's being toxic in chat is likely not reportable for unsportsmanlike conduct.

MUTE is fucking toxic? seriously? holy shit what a shitty system.

: [CCOS] February/March Results!
I'm amazed Mox did as well as he did to be honest. I've had a hell of a lot going on the past month and a half, and I've barely had time to play much League, let alone work on characters. Not even sure if I'll have an entry for April CCOS, but I want to say that after reading the feedback it was all fair. Looking back at Mox, I still like the idea I had behind him, a debuff mage, but I executed it very poorly. If I can get a few days before the month ends, I'll take another crack at CCOS. Thank you to the judges for all their time and work, and thanks to SirArmaMalum for hosting this awesome contest! PS I'm also usually much better about the GNB, if I do get another entry in for April I'll definitely address that.

What's y'all's overall opinion of the games? You're going to be down an entire army, man.

Made it to Chapter 15 without losing anyone else yet, but these maps are starting to get crazy. I nearly lost Azure and I thought I was going to have a panic attack.

That is true, although it gets incredibly repetitive in many ways. "I did something bad and it's saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad" "I can't save these people because of Iago and Hansssssssssssssss" Then there's like 8-10 chapters of sieging Hoshido near the end that's super boring.

I've played Persona 4, nothing Corrin can say or do will match the level of cringe that game made me feel.
: I'm a dirty casual cuz I suck shit at games, but even going casual makes me remember that I still need a working reset "button". One character loss = you're often screwed for the rest of the chapter because you're almost always vastly outnumbered, until you reach endgame. If you're the type looking for a challenge (and maps designed to troll the fuck out of players), I don't really recommend Birthright or even Revelations, so save your bucks. The characters are quite memorable too, just don't let the cheesy, (usually) half-assed S support conversations get to your mind too much. It's also one of the only games that actually *meets* my expectations. Challenging yet doable levels, actually interesting character rosters, no boring stereotypical "classic stupid hero" plots (other than Corrin trying to defend everyone, but his allies are cool enough to mask his stupidity), and it discouraged grinding other than the super tedious method of the DLC map (remember when every tactician in Awakening had Galeforce/counter/lifetaker/renewal?). ######Seriously though, I honestly regret buying Birthright and Revelations as DLC... ~~and i should've played as a girl and not a dude :^(~~

Funny story, my best friend of 15 years works at Gamestop, and when I asked her yesterday if they had any copies of the new FE games, she said yes, but wouldn't tell me which ones they had. So I show up, tell her to surprise me, and she hands me a copy of Conquest. Even though I'm gnashing my teeth at some of these chapters, I'm really enjoying the game so far.
: I like them. Gameplay is amazing, and everything off about Awakening's gameplay was cleaned up. Conquest is definitely hard. The story is pretty meh. Very repetitive, especially in Birthright. The characters are pretty meh as well. Many are repeats from Awakening. Still, it's really good.

I also dig that Conquest seems like the better story, as your choice there is a much harder one to make than simply siding with the'good guys' and beating up the 'bad guys'.
