: Feels like all my losses come with some kind of caveat
If ranked has taught me nothing else... sometimes you just gotta dodge. It's not worth wasting ~30 minutes of your time if you have a LB support. Also, maybe you already know this but: If someone has the wrong runes (e.g. {{summoner:6}} {{summoner:11}} Caitlyn ADC), just kindly remind them. It's often an honest mistake

My friend and I always joke how Morg Q lasts so long {{champion:17}} goes invis again (and he really does!)

Yeah it makes my status message look so pretentious tbh
: Personally I don't mind the buff because vs the other people who have some sort of pull this is really all Blitz has to offer. {{champion:53}} Long range pull, knock up, 0.5 second silence, speed buff with a self slow afterwards, shield with a long cooldown. VS {{champion:555}} Mid range pull, stealth, stun, execute ultimate that has a reset, tons of damage, speed buff with 0 penalty. {{champion:412}} Mid range pull/CC, Knock up, strong slow, shield, get out of jail free lantern, souls give armor, auto attack amp, ability to go over terrain with hook if it hits enemy/jungle camp. {{champion:111}} Long range pull, shield, root, slow, knockup.

The problem with {{champion:53}} (for me at least, b/c I play squishy champs) is that his hook is **instant**. It's much harder to predict compared with Thresh or Pyke

Exactly. And if anyone reading this wonders why I "smurf" in Normals games, this is the reason why I have smurf accounts - to have fun and not get flamed as soon as everyone checks my rank

: Hello! Gathering players opinions and thoughts on different servers. Care to share?
Here's a short (and incomplete) list: 1. Buffing champs for the sake of skin sales - Yes, they are a business, but this is still unfair for the competitive scene (Ranked and e-sports) 2. Asking ~$100, unless you grind this game like none other, for "Prestige" skins that are sometimes less aesthetically pleasing than the base. (I personally like KDA Ahri better than her gold/white recoloration, for example) 3. Matchmaking. Why am I laning against Bronze II players in Normals even though I'm high plat? I can only imagine what an unenjoyable experience it must be for them 4. Toxic streamers going unpunished/well-known players promoting toxicity on stream but going unscathed. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8nPl9_otIo , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9inMzr2AYCE , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF9Df7ptYZo ...just to list a few) 5. The price of skins and RP. When was the last time we got a _new _ 975 RP skin as good quality as Frostblade Irelia??

: Conflicted and afraid of losing account.
First of all, I'm sorry you had to deal with those toxic & immature players. Feels bad, and I hope you know not everyone will be like that in PvP. :) I used to "feed" A LOT when I first started playing (I didn't understand gold/item/experience/level difference back then). It took me about half a year to actually start taking the effort to understand those mechanics. However, never once did I receive a ban or other punishment for intentional feeding. I think it's b/c under-performing is actually quite easy to distinguish from inting: after all, I never ran it down mid or rushed under enemy towers after every respawn. You feel like muting hinders team comms, but imho it's so rare a case that muting a toxic teammate decreases your win chance rather than _increases _ it. Chat is almost always used for banter or distractions in my experience. If someone makes you uncomfortable (by spam pings or flaming), just mute. It'll make your game experience so much more enjoyable. Source: I climbed from low Silver to Plat II this season just by making use of the /mute all function. glhf!

: How would you guys Balance Yasuo and Pyke
{{champion:157}} -- Remove 2x crit passive (why should a fighter/bruiser be allowed to cap 100% crit at 2/3 items??). Everything else in his overloaded kit I can deal with, but up to 2K free gold in stats really doesn't feel fair or necessary. {{champion:555}} -- Adjust his W & passive interaction. Make it so Pyke MUST hide in bush (rather than just press W) in order to heal back lane harass effectively. Maybe reduce in-combat passive healing to 50% to make him less slippery when caught. Remove 2x "Your cut" for Pyke. 900 gold + assists gold for ONE kill? Are you kidding me? > Note: No "champion hate" here. Yasuo and Pyke's stats and "mini-kits" (kits within their QWER kits) are over-tuned compared to other champions in this game

: I play support for a variety of reasons. 1. I hate killing minions for gold. I think it's way more fun to play a mage and poke enemy laners for gold, or use relic shield to kill minions because it's easier and helps my teammates. 2. You can play so many different champions as a support. I also believe trying new strategies or off-meta champs is easier in the support role, which makes the game more fun. 3. You always get the fastest game matches as support role, no need to wait long for a game to start. 4. Most players think that support players suck. This gives me a big advantage because I am awesome, which surprises other players. As a result, I get honored a lot and have many good friends online. 5. Last reason is that I love helping others and support role is the best for it. For example, an enemy Karthus was using his ULT and my mid laner was going to die. I ran to my mid laner and healed him just in time. Enemy Karthus was so mad and I was so happy, felt good.

Nice Also reading #3 made me realize how much I take this for granted -- I had to wait ~5 minutes in a _normal _ game for ADC the other day, whereas when I queue Supp for Ranked Solo/Duo it only takes ~30 seconds.

: I'm a support main for many reasons. I main mage supports, namely Neeko, Morgana, and learning Lux. My thing is, I play to be a late game carry, not a true support like Thresh or Braum. I'm not too good at CSing, so with support I don't have to. I'm not usually great as a solo laner, and find myself falling behind and missing chances to roam, or I die a lot. With support, roams are easier to come by, and even if _I_ am behind, that doesn't mean the lane is. Even helping ADC play catch-up is more satisfying than catching up myself. I'm not fond of following a specific build path. With Mage supports, you get so many options, all of which are viable and fun. Playing Nami you can go full heal support with {{item:3107}} and {{item:3504}} but you can also go crazy AP stuff. Lux can be a late game carry from support by building AP, or be a true support with the items previously mentioned. Morgana doesn't need a whole lot of AP to do big damage, so she can even build tanky items and still be effective. As for Neeko, I love how I can vary her builds so much, from AP, AD, On-Hit, and more. I'm not the best at providing vision, but I'm always denying it too, which is a great feeling. Saving lives is a big satisfaction too. How many times can you save an ADC from a Rengar gank with a single Morg Q? Plenty, and it's fun to do. All-in-all, it's super satisfying to be a good support. When you watch your team one-shot the other team to score an Ace and a Baron, and you can comfortably say, "Hey, that's because of me", you get all warm and fuzzy inside.

Lexy123 (EUNE)
: I am enjoying playing support solely because Swain support is immensly fun to play. You can be aggresive against even the most powerful adcs from level 2. You stack passive a lot faster on bot, your AOE is more impactful when there are 2 champions to get hit, your W is godsend for brush checking when wards are low. It is basically Swain mid/top but without boring parts like CSing or wave management.

: ~~Killing people with Redemption brings me enjoyment.~~ Being serious- I used to be a jungle, mid, and adc main. But I lost my jungler seasons ago, and whenever I would mid my adc would be mad at the support and if I was adc my support would either leave me alone the entire lane phase, be passive as hell even on aggressive supports, prefer to watch as I die, or would have no map awareness. So I decided to take up the role myself. It actually made my map awareness better, and I've found I tend to be more impactful in fights as a support than as a mid laner or adc. And being able to clutch save people with a Raka w/ult or Janna shield/ult is quite a nice feeling. Of course, shielding a turret as Janna that the enemy is trying to use to execute also gives a nice feeling.

: Why? It's my most played role. I've played a lot of support over the years. So naturally, it's my most comfortable role. There's a number of sup champs I enjoy playing like {{champion:201}} {{champion:117}} {{champion:201}} {{champion:89}} {{champion:267}} {{champion:89}} etc. It's the role I pick when I just want a chill game of League. It feels good to be useful to a chill ADC (whenever I do have one of those). I guess it's from all those days of being forced onto support. This was back when role selection wasn't a thing in draft or Ranked. I never really had a problem with Support in the 1st place, so that was fine. Most importantly, despite how much I've played Top & Mid over the years, I'm still bad at CSing while solo laning. Honestly, I'm a pretty weak laner in general. I still enjoy those lanes because their is plenty of non-support champs I like {{champion:78}} {{champion:1}} {{champion:78}} {{champion:83}} {{champion:78}} {{champion:163}} {{champion:78}} etc.

I like how {{champion:78}} was mentioned 4 times haha, I don't play tanks but Poppy top is fun
: Because I love being able to mitigate all the insane damage in the game. Tilts the enemy so hard when I shield for 10k a game or more lol

: I support cause I suck at the other jobs: Jungle: I dont have awareness to gank everything and Im more dragon/tower/baron focused Mid: assassins/bruisers kick me to the dirt and keep me ther then go roam and do the same to other lanes Top: Feels lonely specially after you die once cause then the jungler never visits ADC: Im bad at farming once cannon minions arrive and support sometimes goes ham crazy if Im not paying attention to them and 2v1s and dies and makes me feel bad Support: Im more into warding then actually sticking around for fights

: I'm not really a Support main but occasionally i do play support if I really have to and I really enjoy it when I'm playing picks like Thresh or my Old Main when I started League, The majestic Fish herself, Nami. Now I'm just a Weird Evelynn main, but Supporting was a good time.

: Honestly I'm gonna be quite honest. I am an open player to all roles I wanted to experience each and every lane in it's own unique way. I found that because of this there is no champion I can't have fun to learn to play. Now to get to the point of this. I play support Tanks and by god is it so satisfying knowing my cc and my communication with adc's can actually just be so beautiful if we play it right (only real tank I play is thresh excluding S7 Sion supp). And with my experience in all the other roles it helps me because I'm always against different match ups and know how to counter act some of them In the end while I call myself an all around person in my heart I am a huge support main and can say it is the highest impacting role in the game.

Supp is really impactful, even if ~~salty assassin mains~~ some players try to downplay it. Also Thresh is the best tanky support imo (I'm biased though since I like ranged champs :3)
: To tilt the living hell out of the other lanes. Nothing better than a blitzcrank/alistair/bard roaming to mid all game long and making the opponent midlaner and jungler break their keyboards when they feel as if they're playing against 2 junglers.

People never get used to roaming Janna's lol

: When I started playing back in 2013, supports were treated like absolute fucking garbage, far worse than they are right now, and right now they are treated worse than child molesters in prison. In the instances where someone who hated supports would not speak up fast enough and get delegated to the support (because we had to call our roles back then), they would flip their unholy shit go berserk, and ruin the match out of sheer spite. I had dozens, HUNDREDS of games in my first year sabotaged because of that culture and mentality. You still see those kinds of people floating around, but it's much more rare these days. I started going support in the vague half-promise of having a normal game, and I got to see first hand the kind of shit supports had to deal with, and why, by extension, the role was so grossly unpopular while being extremely vital. The reason why systems like Teambuilder and Clash failed so miserably and continue to do so is because of the unpopularity of the role, and the way the rest of the community, high on pentakills, treat supports like second class citizens or inherently inferior players, alienating any possible support players. A few years ago, if you went anything but support, you expected to wait for at least five minutes in a queue compared to less than one second for supports. I've even encountered people who were still waiting in the lobby for a match to start after I was able to play a game and re-enter the lobby after it was over. It was BAD. Vestiges of this mentality continues today. It doesn't matter how much you know about the game, people will disregard _anything_ you have to say if you have played support even once, assuming that any ranking or skill you have has been mooched off of better players. Even so much as uttering a single syllable as a support is enough to set off some players in a fit of face-ripping rage. And god forbid you have kills; may as well be a black person walking around with money in pre-Jim Crow America. I play support because the support role ends up being the most versatile and needed role in the game, and I have long-since learned how to read team compositions and what our and the enemy's strengths and weaknesses are. Anybody can get kills, but supports more often than not are the ONLY people obligated to help their team; otherwise it's a 1v9 culture where every player goes miles out of their way to screw over their own teammates so they can pick up all the pentakills so the womenfolk will want to touch their penis.

Some of this definitely still happens. People be like "Oh! You're plat ... wait, you're a supp main? okay" Sometimes you just gotta go for the "/mute all"
: I've always enjoyed playing healers in games. It feels so satisfying to keep your team alive and clutch heals/shields etc to turn the tides of battle. Also its sorta like babysitting. You babysit early and then you can feel proud of your charge getting big and strong and then carrying if that does happen. xD That being said I also enjoy deleting people as an assassin.

I mean, deleting enemies is _technically _ still helping your team - 5v4 is easier than 5v5 after all ;)

: i was forced into support all the time due to the old queue system and now i can only play support, i can't cs, i can't play a role that needs to use skills and basic attacks to solo carry i am crippled to support only by the community, by you and i really can't be fucked spending a month or two learning a different role or how to cs really well

: I've always liked playing utility-based roles in games and it just feels good to help people.
