It takes way too fucking long to get the stacks up, and by that time, the duel is almost over. Literally any keystone is more advantageous for dueling power. Take Grasp for instance - it's thousands times better than Conq will ever be on Morde because of the synergy with max hp damage (something Morde wants to stack) and the health buff it can give by using it. Also the argument that people can't kite Morde in his ult is bullshit. If you legit save 1 dash, and use it when he pops either Q or E, that cripples the time he needs to get his passive up by so much, you should be able to survive the ult. I've said this a million times, but if a champ like Darius came out today, he would be banned just as much as Mordekaiser because people can't assess his damage. Boards will always screech for nerfs instead of learning matchups.

Also you can't compare the two, each of them have different damaging abilities and how they interact with shield. Also if someone can kite Mordekaiser and force him to use his W earlier, they can then punish him after the duration ends. Having his shield on a CD is not current Mordekaiser and doesn't represent the problems it had. : i think thats a pretty shitty idea, and removed a lot of depth from the game. i run vastly different runes with associated playstiles for my champion alone. pretty sure other people are doing the same. runes allow you to heavily lean into certain playstiles within the confines of your champion. example {{champion:86}} : depending on matchup i will either run predator, grasp (into a bruiser build), or glacial augment. all three builds create entirely different playstiles. - predator is usually used when i want to roam around the map and make a lot of plays during the early game, then splitpush later, and is often supported by more aggressive and mobile itemization like {{item:3078}} and {{item:3142}} but also {{summoner:14}} . the extra mobility allows me to quickly join skirmishes and react to enemy macro play, when im alone in a sidelane. - glacial augment is usually paired with {{item:3800}} and heavily teamfight oriented, with {{summoner:12}} - grasp is just a general go to build to get lane presence and kill pressure in my own lane the removal of runes would make you much more limited in your options. lanes would be more heavily counterpick oriented and decided in champ select, since you cant compensate getting counterpicked by evading into different stragegic niches than what your champion allows by default.

Frozen Gauntlet is fine, nothing about the item is broken and it has its tradeoffs. Gauntlet has already had its base damage reduced from 125% to 100%. Not only that, but champions like Ezreal who rush it will have extremely low base damage by the time they complete it, so it won't be doing much damage at all. It has no damage numbers, only armor and It has no health. Any champion with Frozen Gauntlet can be killed if it's coordinated. Champs that use it are usually mid - late game champions, so of course they're going to prioritize defense rather than damage, just gank them, or pressure other objectives, they're literally not a threat early game.
: Give Deadman's Plate the Sunfire Treatment
Deadmans plate is fine at its current cost, buying it amplifies champions to a new level at midgame. It gives - movespeed, damage, health, armor and a slow. It's worth every piece of gold.

The problem with this idea is that if you aoe Yorick AND his ghouls at the same time, the ghouls will instantly die, seriously killing any damage potential. I like the idea, but this just gives more opportunities to counter yorick. This would only work if you give ghouls compensation buffs along with it, which again, is a terrible idea. This all sounds like you're sick of dealing with Yoricks ghouls and want an easier way to kill them, not a case of making a better Yorick. Yorick kit revolves around his ghouls, you don't give more ways to kill them.

It takes about 3~seconds for a support to auto attack 4 minions, and usually at mid game, someone can clear a wave in 1~ second. Riot needs to find a way for supports to do the same with relic shield - ie, one auto attack used all 4 stacks. It's not a problem with players, but a problem with design.

You can have ignite with the armor runes too, but w/e. Also 16 extra health? Where are you getting that number from? Your ass? Alistar lvl 3 gets 43.782 effective health per 6 armor. With that extra tankiness, the outcomes are limitless for what he can use that extra time for. Also btw, my initial post was saying that now everyone will be a little tankier cutting damage, and I was right - with 12 armor Alistar would get 87.564 efective health lvl 3. That's fucking huge. And of course the counter argument is that the extra ad/as will be more effective against it effectively mitigating it - but like I said before, Alistar isn't supposed to be bursting people, and if you expect ali to be taking 10ap to be bursting people instead of surviving, something has seriously fucked up LoL.

Last year, going full offensive runes would be a death sentence. If you took 0 armor and just took health yellows AP blues and AP quints, then I don't believe in your ability to play morde at all.

Nearly all champions did not go defensive quints. Let's run some math. Sion A goes double defensive. Sion B does double offensive. Sion A starts with 42 Armor and 74 AD. Sion B starts with 37 Armor and 80 AD. Sion A has 29.5% reduced damage from physical. Sion B has 27% reduced damage from physical. The survivability difference is basically null. If Sion A takes 1000 physical damage over the course of lane after armor Sion A takes 705. Sion B takes 730 That's is less than one proc of level 1 bone plating. 5 Armor is nothing. (Note that it's actually closer than this due to scaling armor per level. Each point of armor is worth less than the last. This is literally best cause scenario.) However Sion A Can CS easier, trade harder, push harder, and turn on fights better. All around it's a nerf to defenses for the classes that wanted defenses. Even Akali generally went bone plating and relied on i to get through lane. Whether you like bone plating or not the issue is people already die way too damn fast. This just makes it worse.

There is 0 reason for Morde to blow his W cd in this matchup other than if he wants to shove the wave. But "any player with more than half a brain" would know this already right?
From a LOT of experience with Morde and matching against Yorick, I can tell you that Yorick with Grasp can easily trade with Mordekaiser and come out on top. You get phage too? You're pretty much unpunishable.

I appreciate your frustrations with this mechanic - however, if it was removed, Mordekaiser would no longer be able to do things like heal from Crugs at topside or Scuttle for some sustain. If he couldn't do that to large monsters, that would be a HUGE nerf. In order to really change this, Riot would need to code pets differently, because they sure as shit aren't going to touch Mordekaisers code, (something they've made abundantly clear after they tried and made everything worse.) Think of it this way, the heal is no more oppressive than irelia pressing E on each of the ghouls for an instant kill and mobility boost, it's just a different way of exploiting Yoricks unfortunate weaknesses as of late :( I will add though that Mordekaiser can be beat by Yorick by focusing on his Q, then finishing him off with his ghouls.

In all seriousness, I feel like not having these things really gives Mordekaiser players so much freedom for trying to work out builds for him. There are multiple mobility and slow items in the game after all. One thing I can agree on though is that he currently has fuck all to show for having no cc or mobility, riot really needs to give him some numbers - like 345ms instead of 320..

He has a dash, a slow and a armor buff. Sounds like everything a champion would need to clear an entire jungle healthily. You say he needs a displacement as well? Also, this might be a revelation for you, but - not all junglers have a heal and/or a shield in their kit.
