It’s not a bad concept, but Ryze already has a bloodthirsty young man following him (brand) and having 2 completely different nemesis seems icky.

Are you going to look into Ryze? I am well aware that a few months ago you were taking a break from Azir, Kalista and Ryze. But Azir and Kalista have both gotten reasonable changes in the past couple months so I’m assuming that period is over? He is currently in argueably the weakest state he has ever been for soloque but is still seeing sizeable competitive play.

Yeah, but Riot has said that Esports skins don't count towards whether champions get skins, so then his last skin would actually be Whitebeard from late 2015, so it has been 3 years if we don't count esports skins.

Okay maybe I wasn’t clear, but this Desperate Power is NOT the same as old Desperate power, I am aware how busted that used to be and how unhealthy it was. Sorry for the confusion, probably shouldve picked a different name.

The mana scaling toggle is supposed to be there as a sort of, turn this on when you fight so you deal more damage, kind of thing, but its supposed to drain mana fast so you can't just always have it on.

The thing that Zoe can win lane while missing all her abilites is my problem with her. I have played against Zoe's whom missed her Q and E but still win trades because of their bullshit RNG W and Passive. Then you die and feed and you proceed to get oneshot by the midgame. Also, have you ever watched a good Zoe play? They are winning games easily.

: Calling all the Ryze mains
So, I'm a Ryze main and I've dabbled fairly extensively in rework concepts. Passive change: Kinda irrelevant but its a nice buff Q: Damage increase will make it burst REALLY hard especially with the E damage increase buffed The shield is changed around a bit with scaling, not bad, increases the effectiveness of Tank Ryze which I like to see. Flux interactions is interesting, basically like current flux but weakened on surrounding targets. It will significantly weaken his lane phase, which I suppose the shield and ms buff is for. W: Damage lowered, fair enough. Root duration lowered but stops dashes? I mean its okay but I would prefer to just have the longer root duration without it stopping dashes since 0.5 is nothing for most champions. If you went through with this you'd need to decrease the cool down substantially. E: Nerfed cool down, but higher damage and holds 2 (with a 1 second wait in between). Honestly, it'd be better to keep it mostly the same. Since Ryze's kit relies pretty heavily on this ability. And in drawn out team fights I'd consider it a nerf. R: Higher late range, decreased cooldown and decreased channel. Also, you got the minion thing mixed up, it is one of the main uses of it in solo que AND pro play since you can use it to move up minions quicker and take towers. No, the problem with this ult in pro play is 4 man gank setups botlane which this hinders a little bit but doesn't fix. Removal of the minions thing makes it even less useful in solo que then it currently is. Not saying Ryze's ult is weak, but it is just abused much harder in the pro scene. Overall, these proposed changes don't fix any of Ryze's issues except maybe his waveclear. It was an interesting read though and I will not downvote you. :) Always appreciate blue man mains looking to fix him even if Riot wont

Also a Ryze main here. A lot of the first stuff is pretty pointless, Ryze's auto attacks are fine, smoother than Karthus or Anivia while rougher than others. I would like them to revert the nerfs to his E (bounce damage, cooldown, mana cost) but I can deal with it. But, the ultimate change is a no. Does not fix pro play at all and just makes him stronger in that area since they can set up 4 man ganks botlane at level f**king six. And what's the point of giving Ryze good early roaming Ulti when, even with your changes, he'll go OOM before clearing the wave. He still wont out push many mages or assassins. The Ultimate needs to be reworked or something similar. TLDR, the ultimate needs some major changes or a straight up rework. It is not healthy for pro play.

1st one is a little overloaded 2nd one As a general rule of thumb attack speed on tank items is a no no. Since it can be abused by both Fighters and Tanks alike Rune encrusted armor Call me biased as a Ryze main but YES PUT THIS IN THE GAME.

: I like some of your suggestions but Granite Gorget and Lost Shuriman Armor are are probably bad ideas. - Granite Gorget is completely overloaded and overpowered. There is a reason Riot took out items that offered all three defensive stats at the same time and giving everyone Malzahars passive (because literally everyone is going to build this item at some point in their build at this pricing point and power level) is not going to just lower the impact of burst damage, it's going to remove it from the game altogether. - Shuriman Lost Armor would be a nice idea if ADCs didn't exist. This thing is an ADCs wet dream as a 4th or 5th item, it would be completely bonkers broken on them. - Armor of the Ascension: cool idea that doesn't seem broken at first glance but is there even a single tank that is mana intensive enough to want this item?
Armor of Acension Ryze could count as a tank if this item was put in the game :D

That reflects that we feel we've sunk too much time into those three champs over the years and that the amount of further time needed now would create a bigger overall improvement to the game if we spent it on other champs. Realize that sucks if you play or want to play one of those three, but do feel it's the right overall call. Ivern wise, would have to disagree that he's weak. Certainly some things about him that are a bit cumbersome, Daisy controls especially IMO, but don't think power's his main issue.

: It needs another movespeed rune/jk. What sorcery needs is some sorta rune for battlemage/sustained damage type champions for the likes of cassio (gods i hate this champs as melee), Aurelion, vlad, aery just feels so bad to use on these champs. Maybe some sort of single target damage reduction like the passive on phantom dancer or adaptive resistance for an enemies primary damage type that refreshes on damaging champ with ability damage (eg aurelions boops) and cant change resist type while in combat.
Cassio and Aurelion both have great synergy with Phase Rush. Vlad is in more of a weird spot and doesn't really have a keystone but still works well with electrocute or Predator or Unsealed spell book. Basically the only battlemages who don't take Phase rush are champions that can bully in lane like a Rumble or Anivia or desperately need mobility like Vlad. And to be real. Most battlemages work great with Aery including Aurelion and Cassio but Phase Rush just scales much better on them than other options. TLDR. I think battlemage rune choices are fine at the moment and we don't need anymore damage in the game

: Hi, I have been seriously wondering why Karthus is never picked in pro play. I saw him during the gold funnel meta yet the winrate was abysmal. It's just weird because Karthus seems to be the kind of champion that would work BETTER in pro play than solo queu. I one trick him and I don't think he's super weak. His winrate in solo queu is decent too, but maybe that's because only one tricks play him? Just again, really puzzled as to why he's not popular in pro.
Not a Karthus main but I have some experience with him. I believe that the reason that he isn't picked at the pro level is 1. He gets dumpster by most assassins whom are more likely to skip through a ban phase 2. His main source of damage, his Q is unreliable and easily dodge able if the player is paying attention. 3. Karthus is one of those champions who kind of wants to go in dealing damage, die and then keep dealing damage until they all die. But the problem with that is even if he kills everyone, he can't take objectives. His only saving grace for proplay is his ultimate, which he could use to support his allies kinda like an opposite Soraka heal. Late game it can Chunk insanely, but at that point most ADC or Mages or whatever have a GA or Zhonyas that can mitigate this burst. We saw Karthus during the gold funnelling meta because the aim was to get him to a point where his Ultimate one shots everyone. The reason his winrate was never that high tho was because the other monster, Master Yi. Specifically counters Karthus which lead to him kicking his ass. TLDR, Damage too unreliable, main strategy means he cant take objectives and Ultimate is mitigated lategame.
