> you know that there's going to be a bunch of people flaming you while you don't see it.
: > I really wish people would read these from the mindset that the person IS innocent. ??? The OP is **not** innocent. This is by Riot's determination, and is evident by his chat logs where he's flaming and bitching at his team the whole time. His punishment has nothing to do with what others are doing. If they were flaming people, then they deserve to get punished too. This isn't a zero-sum thing. Everyone's punishments are individual and not dependent on each other.
i thought the same thing, but i was curious if it was even possible for riot to see. probably it is, but maybe for specific staff members. like, i thought maybe they looked over that possibility, or didn't inform this guy the entire group of flamers was reported (if there were even other people who flamed).
: Hey folks, Remember we're on here to provide feedback when necessary, and pointing to someone's rank isn't part of that, especially when you're being demeaning. Everyone started out ~~Br~~ Iron at some point, that should not be relevant to why something is permissible or not in chat. Edit: Irony when you don't read the chat logs first. Still, pointing at rank, as exemplified by OP, isn't ok. Whose really the children here? The ones who don't want to put in the effort it takes to control themselves and would rather have others do it for them? OR The ones who are able to control themselves enough to interact with others in a mature and reasonable fashion? No one is perfect, and no one here is expecting perfection. That said, there are plenty of people (myself included) who vent our frustrations irl rather than in chat so that we can cool off without compromising our teams chances of success, though whether or not that's actually healthy is a topic for another day. What you're suggesting is what many players have suggested in the past: a way out of actually holding themselves accountable for their own behavior. In this situation though Jack may know he has a flaming problem he'd rather shift the responsibility of correcting/handling that problem onto someone else rather than do it himself. Why? Simply because it's easier to do that than own up & take on the responsibility himself. While I understand that some things are difficult to do alone, there's also no rule saying that certain problems have to be done alone. There's nothing wrong with asking others for help for something provided you're actually willing to help them help you & work with them rather than expect them to solve your problems for you. ___ I guess to try to sum it up is while I get some people may have a problem controlling themselves when things get tough, ultimately that's a problem that they need to work on fixing themselves while also actually hold themselves accountable for their own behavior rather than be lazy and expect others to do it for them and/or to just deal with it. If one can't do it alone then they have to be willing to reach out for help & work with that help as best they can. It may not be easy, but (and forgive me if this sounds kinda cheesy) it arguably should be better & more rewarding than the alternative if that makes sense.
he editted his comment i think or ppl are not reading it correctly?? anyway, i appreciate he came up with an idea atleast, that's why im giving this post an upvote. myself i really agree that people who flame shouldn't be playing the game, but most people even deny that what they are doing is bad. this guy knows that what he's doing is not correct, and i appreciate that. also, im glad that someone finally understands my point of "flaming your team makes you lose", because really, it puts a lot of pressure on your team mates, and they will quit performing as good. i also agree with you that he should be trying to fix this problem, because he is one of the people that causes it.

Aren't you doing the same thing by not muting? > as for muting people, it doesn't work. you know that there's going to be a bunch of people flaming you while you don't see it. Why is that an issue? Your enjoyment in a video game is conditional based upon what people write in a chat that you could get rid of any time you want yet my fix "doesn't work"? LOL > > as for the threads, the players need to be aware of this case so they can fix it. it's all meant for close minded people like you. How am I close minded? I'm giving you a fix and you're refusing to use it.
of course i refuse to use it, i just told you why, i don't have to repeat it. you are close minded because you don't understand why people post these kind of stuff.
: You can't it's a variable of human interaction to have arguments, that number inflates greatly when in competition. So when you're with strangers who you think are costing you a resource (LP) because of their (perceived) incompetence then you're more likely to feel aggrivated. BUT that doesn't mean you have to force out those emotions, but noone talks about what to do when you've already become tilted. What i'm saying is that league of legends actually encourages tilt as a game. As riot doesn't want a toxic atmosphere, they're trying to do a 3 strike system on the action of shit like complaining, instead of only targeting actively toxic behavior. That's why we haven't seen a cleanup. In addition i think the avenue they've chosen is purely ideological, in that they want to try to reform people into a standard that seems really feasible on paper, but since teenagers-25 year olds are the primary audience... It's actually not feasible. Hormones make everything worse. if you're a teenage boy with a minor temper problem then in this environment you're basically a ragisaurus rex. in addition to all of that some people actually just want to do some chill flames, just ball busting and whatnot. This is why I think honor should dictate matchmaking and that we should implement a troll island.
i can understand your point. it would be better to have the target audience 18 ~ 28 years old though. not only for the players, but also for riot because kids can't bring in the money to further develop the game. i understand riot isn't really in need of money at the moment, it seems like it at least, but i can't be sure so it's good to suggest if it's still changeable i think. idk.

Why not just mute the moment a player starts to go toxic on you? Sick of all these "victim" threads when you can just mute and move on.
im sick of all the people bothering to write something stupid in chat instead of working towards winning the game in they really care that much. the only thing they do with that is helping the team lose. so yeah, i agree. i am also sick of people playing victim for the loss while they themselves caused it by giving people anxiety and depression. as for muting people, it doesn't work. you know that there's going to be a bunch of people flaming you while you don't see it. as for the threads, the players need to be aware of this case so they can fix it. it's all meant for close minded people like you.

: league is so toxic that it makes me depressed
i am surprised you get such good reactions on this, not that i disagree but my post got like 22 downvotes for some reason when i said something similar. anyway, i feel the same way. league of legends is rly making me depressed. i sometimes want to play something with others because there aren't many nice multiplayer games as far as i know so league of legends is the best option because it's a nice game. it's such a shame 95% of the people are toxic in contrary. it also gives me anxiety attacks often when i play the game which starts to make me play worse. im mainly blaming all the times i "feed" to the toxicity. people here aren't willing to think rational and aren't willing to help each other towards winning. instead it feels like toxic people prefer losing the game. why would you bother to type something stupid in chat instead of working towards winning the game if it's that important to you? sometimes there are "nice" people, and when it does it makes me really happy too because it is so rare (even though i still have to be cautious).
: Do you have a suggestion? Or do you want Riot to do a couple of Thanos snaps to reduce toxicity?
the suggestion is already written in the post. the players should change their behavior, i expect nothing from riot.

: Ok, I will read the new abilities, when they are finished. Just don't expect to be hired by Riot anytime soon. I think this will stay a hobby, but no more.
I didn't expect to get hired anyway XDD I wanted an internship there, I know I am not good enough to get hired or possible have even an internship because all experience I have with character design is for my own game, which I had way more freedom in. My character designs there are pretty solid so far, but considering LoL has a lot of champions already and is already existing it will be more difficult of course! Not to forget it has different mechanics than my game.

: I will just comment on the ability kit! I think the Q is very interesting. The W is ok. The E is too strong and feels strange, I think. Maybe you should change the whole ability. It would be good for example, if the champ could summon some units, so he can use Q on them, when there are no minions. You should also change the ultimate. The only abilities, that have an effect after death, are currently passives. You normally want to use your active abilities before you die, because it's in fact better to survive. Yours, sincerely.
Thank you for your advice! I am still working on the LORE, I think I should write more of where the character itself is coming from before anyone can answer this. For the R instead, maybe I should switch the passive for the R: like, PASSIVE will be: R = Upon death, proposed league champion has the option to use its ultimate ability to do one more big damage attack. When using this ability it's swirling around (imagine katarina's ult) and damages everyone around proposed league champion, however this has VERY little range. After this, proposed league champion dies no matter what. and R will be: - possibly something like fizz (forgot which ability it was, i think Q: he dashes to minions), I want to keep the movement speed in his kit actually since I decided he will not be a tank but an AP mid laner. but I don't want it to be a complete copy of fizz' spell so I have no clue what to do with this. - he eats minions with his R, which stacks movement speed in general and also makes his W stronger (has 5 stacks or something, will explain this later). I am going to completely remove the old W then, and replace it by something like he splashes up and down into puddles. here i am going to explain: the more the W stacks, the more puddles he can create. once pressed, he will jump to where the mouse is held, and once reaching the puddle PLAYER HAS to press again in order to go to the next puddle, and then press where player wants to land, etc. For the E, if we go with option no. 2 of the R, which I think is the best option because I can't think of anything else than a rip-off, the old E will be gone. instead of this I think I'd really be able to use your idea, but do more with these summons. I don't really like the idea of this character summoning stuff.. also Yorick already does this lel. and summoning extra minions would be rly OP since it will kinda break the game if he can continuously cast MORE minions unless it has a massive cooldown, if u get what I am saying. I wanted something magical for this one. I want one of his spells to be really magical and fantasy-like (kinda like Zoe or Lulu). but we can also do something with connecting it to its Q, like what I was thinking about was creating a bigger puddle, summoning this puddle w/o minions. problem with this is it's kinda boring. THE SAME OLD PUDDLE.
