: tired of top lane
we get Irelia and Akali top too sometimes... cancer until they were nerfed recently... how about the random bullshit Teemo or Camille or Quinn/Jayce that happened to counter ur melee ass :D otherwise we get immovable tanks like Maokai or Ornn too. Hell, lane bullies such as Darius and Yasuo grace their presence at top too. ... n that doggo Nasus... where no amount of ganking matters coz he's just gonna stack.

there's mmr in normals. Get Riot to remove that. Make it truly random. Otherwise there will always be tryharders who want to improve MMR because they want to practice with better people. Not scrubs. When Riot makes it truly random, u can throw a thousand games and no one would care.

Have u watched twitch channel one trick Garens? the effort put into playing certain lanes... he has plenty of bad matchups too... u cant say they're easy I hate people like u. I bet u havent even played earnestly any of those champs.

Good. Riot wants that. Riot wants your playstyle to change based on the enemies you face. If you go against Blitzcrank, you know to avoid walls because of grabs. If you go against Fiddle, you ward unpredictable places to spot him before he ults. If you go against Nasus, you try to shut him down early to prevent his Q stacks. If you go against Skarner, you try to maintain control over his spires. With Kha'Zix, you don't isolate yourself. With Illaoi, you disengage and kill the tentacles. With Gangplank, you watch out for secret barrels. With Fiora, you protect your vital spots. With Heimer, you kill the turrets. With Cass, you face away from her so she can't ult-stun you. With Draven, you try and prevent him from catching his axes. With Malphite, you don't clump up to get wombo'd by his ult. And with Rengar, you need to be extra wary of unwarded bushes. It's bad game design when you can successfully execute the same playstyle against multiple champions. Each champion should require a strategy of counterplay, and with Rengar, it's literally as simple as vision. Normal wards, pink wards, and clearing enemy wards.

Each champion should require a strategy of counterplay, and with Rengar, it's literally as simple as vision. Normal wards, pink wards, and clearing enemy wards. The above u mentioned can be countered/reacted to. I'm merely focussing on Zed's ult delay and the safety of his Q poke range during laning phase (like Leblanc's.) That and Rengar's burst damage coming out of stealthed. I'm fine with the other aspects of these champs. Zed is an assassin- I'm fine with him being an assassin. He shouldn't be a power-house laner and get an ult that's point-n-click which damage is hard to read by new players. Rengar is an assassin- I'm fine with him being an assassin. He should snowball and kill (although right now that snowball is too hard I feel) and yet still have to ability to harass so well when he lanes top jumping in and out of brushes. At least tweak his jump distance during early game.
: You get a huge "!" When rengar ulted (hardly out of nowhere), and trust me, I have had many people who have seen the "!" and literally just walked away from me. I'm silver 5 so that's low elo. If silver 5 ADC's have enough time to see the "!" and walk away that's plenty of time. I have also had the same low elo ADC's flash or dash away from my leap. It isn't a secret what zed wants to do. : Why are you only putting bursty assassins into the category of having such a drastic impact on the game? Tryndamere is in your game? good luck stopping his split push in a lower MMR. Yi is on the enemy team? Good luck getting your team to save their cc for him. Malp/Wu on the enemy team? Good luck getting your team not to clump together in low elo. Soraka is on the enemy team? Good luck getting your team to kill her first in a team fight. EVERY champion has drastic effects that require you to play differently against them. Rengar's winrate is like 44% right now and in the bottom ten of all champions. No reason to nerf him more

EVERY champion has drastic effects that require you to play differently against them. Rengar's winrate is like 44% right now and in the bottom ten of all champions. No reason to nerf him more Mainly reaction time. Winrate does not say much about a champ. Do u know how cancerous is Nunu during the laning phase? He hurls snowballs at u and replenishes to full. Rengar and Zed gives a really small window of time to react to for players. Rengar comes out from nowhere and kills. A really fed Rengar can finish off 3 full-health squishies in 6 seconds. I've seen it done. And he's not supposed to be an AoE squishy mage or something. 2 seconds is too short a time to react. Zed's ult may need a stronger visual cue to players. Like something to tell them they're gonna die, apart from the big X on their head, or give a second more delay so they can QSS. Yes, I believe Yi ravages new players as well. But he does it in a more direct and clear manner- he's Autoattacking on u.
: I don't think that "A team of 5 players have to change completely their playstyle to accommodate this one champion." is a valid argument because literally EVERY champion makes people play differently, and they are intended to be this way. I would get very bored if I played the same way every game and didn't have to adapt and figure out how to win each game differently. That's why league is so fun to me

Unless the effects of the champ on the other team is very drastic- u know what happens when i'm in a losing streak = low mmr ... and I face a Zed or Rengar on the opposing team... I've to keep warning my teammates about dangers of them. I've to take a very hands-on approach... keep reminding them to get QSS and pinging them back when they're slightly overextended on immobile champs. I could do all that to try to 'manage' them... but it's tiring. Of course it gets better in the higher mmr. Just sometimes my mmr drops due to loss streaks. Why a champ can have such a drastic impact on the game?

: Rengar Balance Idea
It doesn't alleviate the fact that he is extremely obnoxious to new players who haven't confronted him much. That IS bad game design PERIOD. A team of 5 players have to change completely their playstyle to accommodate this one champion. It's like having to buy QSS and standing far away from Zed while laning to avoid his Qs... just so u can be viable against him. Sure, with practice, u will do well vs Rengar and Zed... but a single champ shouldn't be able to change completely and very drastically the way a team has to play when faced against him. A new player basically will not even have time to process the damage Rengar dealt unto him until it's too late. edit: Therefore I dubbed Rengar thee Cheese Kitty.
: Is Aatrox Garbage?
His numbers seemed weird last I played him. Lower than expected

True, unless when u're faced with a cheesy champ such as Rengar, who goes around slaughtering squishies. Even if u pick Tahm Kench, abandon your lane, head to protect the camped lane... u may not stop the slaughter. Cant stop the Cheese come mid game.

The game's snowballing is outta whack too making laning phase entirely too important. And that favors lane-bullies even more.
: Why does Zed have mage like poke?
Riot's balance team's permanently on crack. I could see the imbalance from a mile away. Wouldn't mind if the damage on that shuriken is miniscule... but the dmg is decent too for a really long-ranged skill on a energy-based, high mobile assassin.
: You forgot arguably the most important part of dying. All the XP you miss and all the XP they got from the kill. I've seen games where someone died pre 6, walks back to lane, the enemy hits 6 first and kills them again. They have two kills worth of XP on you and since they death timers are longer you miss more minions. You could potentially be three level down from dying those two times.

A more important issue with this 'unseen' death penalty is it's impact on New Players. All these are not clarified thru the game's UI. Experienced players will know this and exploit it to the fullest of their abilities. All these will be pretty damn punishing for a new player. There's NOTHING to tell the new player why they lost a second fight so drastically when they merely died once to the enemy due to a tiny mistake. Yet Riot is striving for more clarity in its UI...
: Riot, now that Shen is purely melee, can we make his E hitbox larger?
Why would u play the new Shen when there's Tahm Kench? Tahm cant cc/taunt more than one (I guess u seldom use Shen to taunt more than one enemy too) and does not have the W area dodge for teammates... but has a beefier shield, same global presence etc... and *drumroll*... 2 Ranged Abilities! (Well, one of them needs u to get into melee range to eat a minion) If u're SoloQ, play the more flexible Tahm Kench... If u're premaking with a team or LCS, Shen still can be picked for some utility. edit: Another important note though- Shen's E is a dash ability.. which Tahm lacks. They're both crazy strong though but I'll go with Tahm for the flexibility and easier laning phase. 2nd edit: I miss old Shen. ='(

Anyone confirm this? I don't get the heavy penalties on dodging. Sometimes u meet again people u don't wanna play with... n u get penalized for dodging.

: Let me explain why Shen's update is a failure.
Most Shen mains will know to drop him... he's bad at everything now. Tahm Kench is a better top/support right now than Shen in every way - 2 ranged abilities, semi-global presence, ability to save teammates etc. Only thing Shen has over Tahm is W ability affects an area (tiny area that is)... Tahm has a tougher shield that is arguably better in soloQ. Maybe LCS may see some Shen play. If u're SoloQing, just play Tahm if he's not banned. Change I would make is- Make W area a little larger. Then there may be a point in picking him.

: Party rewards are just temporary, and you can invite random people from previous games without adding them to take part while it lasts. Around the start of almost every season you can get 2for1 rune pages (which includes purchases with ip), so buying a complete 20 pages with ip is much more doable if you save up ip and buy at those times (which I've done despite only being at it for 2 years-ish). That said, I've had a hard time realistically using more than 10 pages, so bargain hunting like that can make your ip go somewhat further. Regardless though, I know 'more' feels better for most people who don't already have literally everything buyable with ip, and as someone who typically solos I feel your pain. IP piles up pretty quick if you're not paying attention to it (e.g. after going on a ranked stint where your focus is on LP) so maybe try doing a bunch of ranked or focusing on getting mastery 5 with a champ to take your mind off the IP aspect until IP rewards are back to normal.

Did Riot really come out to say the party rewards are temporary? If that's the case, then I don't have any gripes with it. But if it's permanent- that amounts to a lot of IP differences between a solo and a player with a consistent team.
: Disparity between solo and party IP makes me feel like quitting
Like in this gbay's video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YA3e_Ti7Zns I feel that time will be better spent playing a game that values the solo player.
