The Good, The Bad, and the League: 11/16 - 11/22

Our team wanted to be a bit more transparent around server issues, as well as other information that the NA playerbase may want to hear about. This is 100% a work in progress, so feedback around what’s here, or what you might want to see, is highly appreciated! Your weekly dose of server problem-os, NA League news, and moar! Neeko has been revealed (and there was a [**_ridiculously close guess here_**]( beforehand from a fellow player), League is working with Marvel on some comics (lore here!), and the professional League scene continues to shake up with even more roster changes across all regions. Server Stuff: Featured section in the store had expired sales (11/18/18, ~1 day) A series of featured item cards expired, leaving blank tiles in their place. This affected Riot worldwide, and correctly scheduled content had to be added back into the list. Database maintenance caused a delay for patch 8.23 (11/20/18, ~9 minutes) A database maintenance step was unable to finish properly, requiring a rollback. Original estimations were that the servers would be up 30 minutes later than planned, however the rollback only took 9 minutes to complete, and the servers were up at 6:09 AM. Game Stuff: Game Disconnects (11/16/18, ~3 minutes). A power issue caused a bunch of network ([here’s the most recent Riot Direct AMA]( devices to go offline, requiring an automated reboot of affected hardware. This caused lag and disconnections for several minutes. Game Disconnects (11/19/18, ~3 minutes) A Riot Direct device crashed, causing player traffic to shift to another device. That shift caused disconnects while the players were transferred. Player Support Trend: This last week saw a minor spike in FPS tickets.
