I don't understand why you nerfing dark Seal this way, but ap assasins (the core users of the item) getting compensated right? They can't lane withour dark seal/corrupting combo and will definitely take the biggest hit from this random nerf. Combined together with the random eyeball nerf it can be a meaningful hit.

The difficulty in balancing champions in League of Legends is that the needs of some groups of players are very different than others, and we're not really willing to say our goal is to make every champion in the game viable for Jensen or Dopa. That approach would serve them very well but serve most players very poorly. Our starting point is that we want to be able to say every champion is useful for some major player segment (ranked normal, ranked skilled, ranked elite, pro), and that if they're not good for at least one of those groups, then they should be buffed. Once we can say that's true of every champion, we can work on making champions more balanced across multiple player segments.

He was already strong in multiple segments and had a high ban rate. Why you buffed Tryndamere? He was already pretty strong in low elo (gold and below). Overall the buff did very little. Why you overbuffed Kassadin at the summer? He was already a viable niche pick in competitive. Why you making the pre worlds competitive changes then? You are buffing already well performing champions just to make them viable in competitive. They often become viable in competitive and broken in soloq. These patches are completely against the philosophy you mentioned. While i think there is definitely no room to buff Fizz right now, based on the philosophy you followed with Zed there is. What i don't understand why are you hesitating so much to nerf strong champions while never hesitating overbuffing others when they are already in a decent spot.

Hotfixing Singed was the right call. Not nerfing Riven isn't. When something is overperforming based on statistics or plat+ soloq pressence, it should be nerfed. This is why a live gameplay team exist with payed employers. Riven is overperforming since the release of Shojin, If you check her stats or play some soloq game against her you will see. If it isn't enough for you guys to hit her then there are either favoritism behind it or the design philosophy you are following is bad. While i think items are Riven's primary issue {{item:3161}} {{item:3812}} {{item:3071}} and amount of sustain avaible in rune reforge, at least she should receive some temporal nerfs until the real problem can be fixed.

You hotfixed Singed for being on 54% win rate. After sitting on such a high win/play rate for weeks, it should be enough criteria to nerf Riven. There is nothing to discuss here. When something is obviously overperforming it should be hitted with the nerf bat.

Still agree there's a bit of a hole in itemization for some champs there though. Hoping we get a chance to work on it sometime this year. In the meantime for champs like Sylas who don't have items as well tailored to their needs we'll keep giving them a bit more power in their kits so they're in an appropriate spot balance wise. While that doesn't give other benefits well tailored itemization does (satisfaction, bit more strategic depth etc) it does put them in effective spots at least.
I wonder how much effort you put into it. Maybe like 10 minutes. Since you kindly removed abyssal scepter ap asasins and fighters don't have a single efficent item choice in the shop and instead band-aided with unreasonable high numbers. Maybe adjust {{item:3091}} {{item:3152}} {{item:3100}} {{item:3115}} instead of reworking adc items once every year, or making useless ap item reworks.

{{champion:104}} Base hp and armor massively reduced. {{champion:145}} People wouldn't like it, but remove the shield from her ult. Her template was Vayne, she is an adc/assasin hybrid, she supposed to be risky and squishy. Imagine Zed with a shield on his ult. {{champion:39}} Q no longer deals double damage to minions, w now interruptable, compensation buffs if necessary focusing on her top lane performance. {{champion:266}} Just revert, and try to balance his old kit and not giving up on it after a few weeks. {{champion:84}} She can't be fixed.

I know it's intended, it's got intentionally ninja changed last year mid summer. That wasn't the question. Since you are the one who working on Fizz, i suppose you have the permission to change/fix stuffs, so the question is are you planning to change it? If you hit double bomb with Zilean on Morgana she will still take damage from it but doesn't get stunned. If a year ago you ulted Morgana with Fizz the fish latched to her applied the mark and dealt it's damage, but didn't papply any cc. Now if you hit it it won't connect, no mark, no damage, nothing, you can cry in a corner. I doubt it it's actually fair at this point and according to the ability descripton of black shield, and void shift that shouldn't be the case.

By removing the reset mechanism are you planning to reduce his cooldown a little, maybe 10-8 to 8-6 or something or giving him a bit more extra ad to help him farm under tower? His laning is naturally very weak and the current w helps him to grab some cs even under tower. It seems a bit painful to farm and lane (at least on mid) with this w. Will the new w still incrase his aa range like the current one? Are you guys planning to change his current w animation to his crit animation? it would be sweet. Can you reintroduce the old ult interaction with black shield and void shift? (preventing the slow and the knockup but not dropping his entire ultimate, those are not spellshields)

: For keystones I think there's a clear need for work on Sorcery. Would like at some point (not sure what timeframe is realistic) to both do some work on Comet and get a fourth keystone in there. For non keystones Precision and Domination I think are the two trees most in need of work. Domination's vision related slot especially needs some work, while Precision's too lacking in meaningful choices (pretty solved on many of its users). In terms of what time I post these, I normally try to be consistent. Sometimes though if I've got a meeting or whatever so I need to get to work earlier than usual I'll put one up earlier.
Are you content with the state of dark harvest? Basically a Shaco and ARAM only rune.

You never considered ADs has way too much free durability attached to their offensive items {{item:3812}} {{item:3072}} {{item:3046}} {{item:3156}} {{item:3026}} even {{item:3071}} ? This allows snowballing ADs to dealing lots of damage and being tanky at the same time, making it very very hard to shut them down once they get ahead, snowballing Graves is the best example to this. Durability on damage dealers should have a price. Right now however it's free. AD champions are the biggest offenders of early game snowball, whatever is the reason behind it (plus Zoe and Vlad, but they are just overpowered) ,but free durabilty definitely contributes to it and the new spear of whatever will make it worse. Ma bet is next patch will raise the early game snowball even further.

I remember when ADCs needed to buy the item if they wanted to get a bloodthirster. Now they can get it freely from runes.

It hars but at least it will get rid of mid lane abyssal mask abusing. No carry champion should be ever allowed to abuse tank items and be fine with it. Personally i would remove the cdr from it. None of it's components has cdr, and there is already too much cdr in the game.

Which bruiser was good in s7? The only bruisers i remember is an overtuned {{champion:164}} , {{champion:114}} as a counter to her, and well {{champion:105}}. Maybe some other were strong after mid season when they overtuned DD, but they quickly released Bramble what fucked every AA based top laner. Assasins and bruisers are both struggling for long now because of similar reasons. They got beaten on lane, then they got outscaled by their opponents in teamfights, while supports shutting down their spikes with their extremely overtuned, broken piece of shit shields, leaving no place for them in this once awesome game.

It supposed to be a situational utility item, what is avaible for every mages, if they are ready to give up some damage for the extra defense and teamfight utility it provides. The problem with pre-nerf Rylais was the 100 ap. 100 ap on a defensive item? it outclassed al of it's competitors. However right now Rylai is just another cheap and trash item among a bunch of cheap and trash ap items. The item is fine, they just need to fix the stats. Something like 70ap, 500hp, old price, pre-nerf passive. I think it would be fine. Magic pen is a bad idea. Flat pen shouldn't be on a defensive focused item.

Yasuo's e should be dodgeable, or at least used to be dodgeable. They are both travel a fix distance and will not deal any damage if they are miss. Coded like a skillshot. Meanwhile Panth, Heca, Wukong etc. always jump to the location of their target, coded like a single target spell and they will deal damage even if you flash. Is it bs? yes. It was a bug back then, Rito kept it and called it counterplay LUL.

: Serious Talk: People need to chill out about the Balance Team
The flame and agression towards them is not fine, but they deserves all the negative critics after this season. They should listen to them and improve in the future instead of ignoring them. They did a very bad job and there is no reason to defend them. This season was like "they are on vacation". They created plenty of issues and they fixed none. Galio is the fourth non large scale update who needs to be hotfixed since mid season (Sivir, Singed, Janna), its alone indate there are issues in the team. The community is pissed rightfully, and there is no reason to defend the balance team now. I'm on the opinion if they won't manage to imrove in the next season they should be indeed fired.

Looks like you never played against that abomination. Btw you can't force a full meele champion to be unable to trade without his ultimate, and he can't 100 to 0 you without his fish early game. Yes, his kit is badly designed, especially this w, but right now little can be done about it without another rework. Even if they decide to rework him, they need to fix the ap itemisation issue first, otherwise the new rework will be a mess just like the assasin " update".

After having so many discussion about adcs on the gameplya boards, can we get a honest opinion from you about the current state of marksmans and bot lane? Most soloq games being decided on the bot lane. Most competitive team compositin revolves around marksmans, reducing champ diversity and overall making the game less fun. Marksmans invading other positions (mid, jungle) while there is still no proper replacement for bot lane adcs.

Why His r no longer connects to cc immune targets? Why you are trying to sell it as a bugfix, when it is a ninja nerf? Why you are adding more and more forced counterplay into his kit? It just make things even worse.

It isn't just Malzahar. Fizz's R won't connect to cc immune target (Morgana, Olaf). They ninja changed it and now trying to sell it as a bugfix, what's mean the bug existed since Fizz's release. just bullshit.

Well. It's bullshit. That's mean it was bugged for years, probably since his release??? If the current interaction is correct then it's a ninja change not a bugfix. Who is this designer? Fizz'R right now is the only ability what gets completely blocked with all of it's other effects (including the mark) by cc immunity. This can't be correct. cc immunity is not spellshield. Thresh can still hook himself to a Morgana with blackshield, Lb's tether still remain on it's target and deal it's damage despite of cc immunity. With the same logic let's go back to it's 6.9 state where tenacity caused the shark to errupt earlier, because it's a cc, or make it cleansable again, because cc. If Fizz needs to get nerfed fine, nerf him, but this ninja change is a bullshit, and selling it as a bugfix is even bigger bullshit.

Apparently Fizz's ultimate doesn't connect to cc immune target since 7.15, while previously it connected, but didn't apply it's cc effects. Is it an intended interaction or a bug? I can't find anything about it in previous patch notes, outside of this "Malzahar’s Passive - Void Shift now correctly blocks Fizz’s R - Chum the Waters". The problem is it's working like this since 7.15. So what is the bug? And what is the fix? Clarification would be nice, because it sucks to realise in the middle of your games, that something no longer works as it did before.

She was probably balanced before this, but with {{item:3157}} and this shit she is just too safe. {{item:3102}} should be replaced with something what is effective, but doesn't block specific champions while making others op. Something what doesn't favor only long ranged spammy mages over everything else, while being uneffective against them.

I think Veil is a bit unhealthy to the game in this state,and it should work like EON, but i'm happy at least it getting looked at. Some champions can rly struggle hard against Banshee. Thanks for your time :)

Then again every1 will just sit on negatron again and upgrade to cancer's veil after Morello. Mages are incedible safe with Veil, they should not get back the ability to sit on negatron again.
