Tbh I find his voidlings useless. Mentionned it numerous times already, but they get killed by a freaking {{item:3751}}. They're only useful to waveclear added to Malz's E. I'm not saying Malzahar *is a bad champion* (garbage = boring for me), I'm saying that half of his kit is just uninteractive. You can't stop him from farming easily, when I'm against an assassin mid and I play Malz, I just stay near my tower, use E and W and back up until the wave is cleared (and Q if there is a cannon, that's the most exciting thing about his kit :D). I just hate how his "pvp aspect" is all tied to his R

To each their own I guess. I'd sacrify simple gameplay over more difficult macro-play tbh. I'm playing a MOBA, not a FPS or Mortal Kombat, but I guess it's because I've always been playing RTS and RPGs. I don't like complicated and quick gameplay, I'm more into decision-making gameplay. Though I can understand that maybe the target audience has changed, and people enjoy their champion rather than the decisions they take outside of their kits

Imo his kit is the most unfair shit ever. Take a look at other juggernauts, all of them have to build 2 offensive items. Mundo can straight up build full tank and melt people down because he has no ratios on his abilities

You’re so focused on landing your abilities that you’re not considering how much control you actually have over your opponent. His Q range basically becomes his territory, if people don’t respect it they get immediately punished, not just by CC but by lots of pain.
Actually makes sense, but let me quote something that Riot once said (not really related) to a Karthus W rework. Basically, they wanted to rework his W into something that deals damage and bumps enemies. The reason it didn't go through ? It was because "people would just know that you shouldn't walk through it, making it uninteractive, basically place the wall and people walk around it". Isn't it what basically Sion is from what you just said ?

: Sion’s base kit strength is not in reliability, but in damage. Sion has very high base damage and decent scalings (off of AD so he can easily go damage builds more than others). His E makes sense when you consider that Sion is a zone control threat character.
His Q is easily dodgeable, his R as I said, you don't even need to use a movement ability, you can just walk in the opposite direction. Sion has 2 AD abilities, others scale of AP and deal magic damage. I'm sorry but I can't see Sion as a damage dealer.

Compare him to {{champion:57}} {{champion:516}} or {{champion:12}} all of them are tanks and have a point and click hard cc (Ornn being harder to land obviously, but still has a lot of cc's in his kit) Sion has 2 cc, others are just self peel (his slow was used as a poking tool, but let's be honest this ability doesn't even make sense in his kit)

{{champion:84}} tbh is the most satisfying to play atm. Most others just have flashy animations, doesn't mean these flashy animations actually have a high skill floor (incoming angry Zed mains telling me to "play him", after 3 games I knew how to outplay people). I'd really hope Riot to go more towards combos like {{champion:84}} because it actually require decision making in the middle of a fight, instead of smashing your single combo all the time and expecting to delete someone

Hard engage requiring a skill shot to land? Plent of them. Ability to follow up on skillshot landing? Plenty of them. Ability to CC a threat on adc? Plenty of them.
Lantern to forgive your trash adc misplacement ? Hook that lasts for 5 hours ? Cage that slows for 99% ?
