It would suck so hard to not be able to play this because of the dropped support from Apple. CodeWeavers are working on actualising Wine: they already got a few Steam games running. By the end of the year, or early 2020 at the latest, the next Crossover will run on Catalina as well as Wine does on Mojave. Assuming you were referring to Wine (weren't you?). Another alternative is running Parallels Desktop: performance-wise, it's insanely better than VMware and the latest version even supports Direct X11. Coherence mode is a big plus, too.
: Do you have that one Skin you want most but you can't get because it's unavailable?
Riot Blitzcrank, I've been waiting for it to appear on Your shop for a couple years, but still nothing.
: I'm glad that Riot is releasing more games
I'm extremely annoyed at the lack of posts bashing Wild Rift and TFT mobile: are the top-posters currently on holiday, perhaps? And what about Riot's new fighting game? The damage is going out of control! Well, at least someone is already complaining about how bad season 10 ~~will be~~ is.
: Stuff?
https://i.ibb.co/pW6pJB8/images.png
: Personally I don't think you quite understand anything and you are assuming everything...for the worse actually. (That's just what I get vibe wise, so I could be wrong.) The 10th anniversary isn't for League of Legends it's for Riot as a whole. So ofc not everything is going to be for League of Legends. With the announcement of MMO, Fighter, FPS, Card Game, & Mobile/Console that's a huge huge 10th anniversary announcement as a company. You mention that the game has changed but that's how things are if it didn't change it would become bland and boring so always changing for good or worse can actually be exciting. In a way the worlds missions could possibly be apart of the 10th anniversary event. Also complaining about getting free stuff whether it just be icons/emotes is just ridiculous and puts off a I'm self-entitled and deserve more aura around you. Not everyone has the money to afford skins/emotes/icons so the fact they are giving them away for free for 10 days is amazing. I'm sure a lot of people love this. Now when it comes to previous game modes the reason why some are not coming back or haven't been back has to do with either the updated summoners rift not supporting old game modes or there wasn't a big enough population that enjoyed them to the point it needed to come back. As a person who has PBE access I can tell you about how URF is and shockingly it's not bad. You talk about garen being OP well his E doesn't stack anymore so he's not actually that OP anymore granted with AD items he's strong but he's killable. When fighting against a Morde just buy a QSS it's literally up at the same time his ULTI is. Granted there are some stronger champs in URF but most of them have received custom nerfs such as more damage taken & less damage done. Some even have their ulti's on longer CD still such as Karthus/Ez/Jinx. Oh finally you mention everyone constantly says the years are getting worse and worse well that's just peoples opinions! Personally I love what they have done over the years the game feels completely different than the last. (This is also coming from a Preseason 2 player. TLDR: 10th Anniversary is good. Most FT. game modes aren't compatible. Free stuff is nice. Garen isn't OP in URF. Saying the game is getting worse each year = opinions.

You're wrong because you forgot something. That is, 30 or so people's opinions on the board = whole community's opinion. Something to grant me more downvotes: Riot didn't put as much effort in balance and game modes as they used to do because they've been working on a lot of new games (above all, LoL mobile and TFT for mobile devices). In light of this, and given that the game's state isn't nearly as tragic as some serial posters here believe it is, I'm quite optimistic for the next season and definitely happy with all the stuff they've been working on and we'll get to experience soon.

At least for my experience (that is, the problems I try to solve for my friends), and what I read on the forum, there are more "random bugs" on the Windows client. Riot should really fix the foundations of both clients: I love the new one, but it' way buggier compared to the old client.

They can't really buff blitz because of what this one ability does, if anything they would've been better off reducing the range in favor of making his W or R better. People wildly underestimate Blitz's strength. An ad/tank build really makes it shine (think of Diamond/ex-Master players like Prim0 who play it top), and the new R further helps this build path: Manamune, Trinity/Iceborn gauntlet, Wit's end, then Phantom Dancer or some tanky item. Even as jungler he's not that bad: of course, he struggles a lot in the early game, but his clearing isn't terrible and if you manage to roam and gank a lot, it's both fun and useful for your team!

You really didn't think this through did you? Are you really comparing 2019 data with 2014 reports? Seriously? Besides, my point was that LoL isn't losing players at all. Even if Riot lied and nobody noticed, not even a single website (which isn't very likely), it'd still wouldn't change the fact that it's one of the most played games ever, especially this year, that is 2019. And, the flowchart shows 2013 revenues, not players (the two factors aren't always, necessarily in direct proportion), nor, again, reasonably recent data... But, it's my fault for writing here, the boards only serve the purpose of bashing Riot nowadays.

The same goes for mid/high range smartphones. Of course, you won't be able to play League decently on a 200$ smartphone, but you will on an iPad, for example.
: If mobile league is the celebration for the 10 year anniversary. Im done.
At this point you guys would feel outraged even if Riot decided to change LoL's icon. I can't understand what's the issue if there's people willing to play on their phones and tablets. Besides, they'll be put into a separate queue, given that the game is allegedly launching with just 27 champions (the leaked video didn't even feature turrets). Denying other people of a right won't protect yours: if mobile League really comes out, there'll be no law forcing you to play it, simply ignore it instead of creating drama on the boards like disgruntled kids. Of course, more than a mobile LoL I too would love a TFT for smartphones.

In Bronze/Silver, that's the score a good toplaner, midlaner or adc ends the game with. It's almost always way lower. Junglers are a little better, averaging at 20-25. As a main support, though, I'm still struggling with vision: I usually end my games with a vision score a little above or a little below 40.

The main problem is the abysmal scaling difference between junglers. Lately, junglers like Lee Sin literally gank at lvl 2 after killing a couple monsters. While, say, a Nocturne simply can't. This is when people usually lose their temper and vent on the jungler, but it's really nobody's fault. I hate the camping/early gank meta, though (at least, that's how it currently is in low ELOs).

Censoring something like git gud is a bit rediculous at this point. I know we're on the American boards, but is it that hard to be polite? Git gud is basically ez's cousin, no wonder the mods censored it.
: Galio was viable for like 2 whole years or something? How long have Jax and Lux been viable in the last 2 years? Come on, you're the biased one here.

: Promos exist only to stop players from climbing fast and to force players to play more games to climb. If we look into game history, in and around promos the probability of getting afk, trolls, feeders will be higher. This is simply to give a game that has lower chances of winning and unless we play like our rank+2 divisions to solo carry games, it will be mostly a loss. This is not only unfair, but not fun to play because of bad matchmaking and not being able to dodge. Promos should be removed and matchmaking should be made better, so that rank becomes closer to skill.

Promos should be removed and matchmaking should be made better, so that rank becomes closer to skill. A simple mechanism Riot could introduce in rankeds is the following. If one or more players in the lobby start thinking that one of their teammates is going to troll and harm the game (either because they're flaming or picking an absolutely off-meta champ in a certain lane), they should be able to start a vote to kick the aforementioned player out. To be on the safe side, it should be a unanimous vote. If a player gets kicked out of a lobby more than two or three times, he shall get a punishment, that is the impossibility to play ranked games for a number of days. Such a system wouldn't solve everything, but it'd increase the chances of playing a fair match dramatically, imho.
: Actually the ranked system that's used in TFT would be a good model. There needs to be fluidity in the ranked system. Either that, or actually give us the MMR at the same time as the rank - enough of the mystery meat.

Riot should also take into account a player's personal performance. If, say, your team fed or trolled, but you managed to get an A or even better an S, at the very least you shouldn't lose LP. The current system emphasises luck and ignores the fact that same games simply can't be won.

A little less than your average Summoner's Rift game.

: The boards summed up in one post so you don't have to go read all of them
Ok, now show us numbers and statistics proving that LoL is dying. "I know it" isn't that convincing.
: I agree. It really is a shame we can't get old modes coming back. Hell, for Pyke's release we got Butcher's Bridge back.

It really is a shame we can't get old modes coming back. Hell, for Pyke's release we got Butcher's Bridge back. I believe that most of this year's resources went into TFT (and reworks). I expect the next season to be way better, game modes-wise.
: Riot abandoning TT made people not take it seriously so that drove off even more players away. Plus bots. And ARAM is more popular because it's not SR and while at the same time it's not an abandoned circus-like TT. Them taking away TT won't result in us cherishing and bathing and new game modes. They simply cut resources not to redirect them just to keep em since the whole company has horrible management.

: Well, this isn't about making TT super fun and open to more players, that's was riots job, this is about saving TT for the players that played it.

Which isn't the way a company works: otherwise Microsoft and BlackBerry would still be updating their legacy OSes for the few devoted users. I don't doubt that TT could become somewhat more popular if Riot invested a lot of time and resources (that is, money) into it: but it'd equal to telling them how to draw up their business plan, which unfortunately isn't our call. Personally speaking, if taking out TT means that Riot will have more resources for rotating game modes, I'm more than okay with it. Any company would have killed off TT many years ago (when it came out, rotating game modes didn't even exist), it's surprising enough Riot kept it around for so long. And no, it's not totally Riot's fault, not at all: it's not like Aram has had any major changes during the last years (aside from some non-crucial balancing), but we kept playing it a lot; the user-base simply didn't like TT.
: In Defense of The Treeline - A Poorly Substantiated Corporate Decision
I still bet my balls people would keep ignoring TT after "saving" it: it's more of a LoL Boards thing, otherwise it wouldn't have come to this.

: If "FILL" is your primary role, the "SECONDARY" Role should let us choose what role we don't want
It's such a smart idea that I'm sure it'll never see the light of day on LoL.

: Just in: Riot under fire for removal of bot preserve.
I don't think the bots will ever set foot in the Summoner's Rift. They were unleashed in TT because it was a map nobody cared about, the user-base was ridicolously low and nobody actually reported bots. I can't even find bots in ARAM anymore. In my opinion, botting will soon disappear from LoL: given that they'd be insta-banned after a couple games at most in SR, it wouldn't made any sense using them.
