The thing is if you have to repossession against Hextech you're weak to everything else and that's a problem for the gameplay. You're right that other synergies does more, but it's the way Hextech does it that's the issue. Even if it's not really broken on a baseline if it makes you weak to everything else, it's too strong. You need to reposition against Blitzcrank, Zephyr, Assassins, etc. If the argument is that you can't just have a ball of death in the corner with no consequences, that's not an argument at all. That's good for the game.
The problem is you can position against everything else in a pretty similar way while Hextech really screws it up, so when there are 8 players, it feels like coinflip on if you get to face them or not. I guess I didn't explain that part well enough - it's not a problem when you're the last two players, but the rest of the time it feels like an issue.

: I don't think we can all agree it's super powerful. It can give you an edge if you're about equal otherwise, or if you're just slightly behind, but if there is a significant gap in your comps, Hextech won't be the difference. A lot synergies are as impactful or more impactful than Hextech.
