If your team is overall bad than of course you lose. But have you even tried to count how many games you lost because your jungler ignored 2 of your lanes? The impact JGL can have on midlane if they choose to is absolutely disgusting - to a point where I feel like I'm forced to play 'ungankable" Champions to have a tiny bit of fun in the game... The biggest issue is you have no way as a laner (and especially a midlaner) to punish the JGL for camping you. And you have little tools to avoid dying in a towerdive. Even if you manage to take one with you it's still a massive loss since the other takes plates and you loose even more Farm and EXP... Due to mana regen being gutted attacking the enemy JGL on a gank is loss-loss for you. You loose mana to farm and trade, you loose the CDs to prevent the enemy laner from trading... and worst of all, the enemy JGL doesn't give a **** about the DMG, he smites the god damn crab, eats a fruit and is back to full live!!! ---------------- I feel like JGL Susutain (both MANA AND HEALTH) needs to go down DRASTICLY. There is no reason for a JGL without in-kit sustain to back to full life from farming... And clear times of camps needs to go up! [Gank mid, take two camps, gank mid, take crab, gank mid... the amount of time necessary to do this is insanly small] Important: I don't think JGL income in generall needs to be nerfed. Gold and EXP from camps would need to be buffed to compensate the losses... But one thing NEEDS to chance - JGL should NEVER be able to TRADE for their LANERS! Ganking without gettinga single summoner/kill should be punished! It needs to be a loss for the JGL! Sure - in theory it should be a loss since seeing the enemy JGL should open up opportunitys for the rest of your team but... we all know the reality... LeftyRaydy (NA) : The problem with Zed mains that people think he is weak is simple. He needs a rework and I say this, because zed usually controls everything in lane. If he doesnt want to trade he can sit back and farm with Q, if he wants to poke he can, and then going off that poke he can swap with his shadow and all in. His gameplay is too safe and when he gets ahead it is frustrating. Zed players think he would get basic buffs and there is now way that can happen as he needs tuning that sees his champion to proper risk and reward. Total Violation (EUW) : As a Vel'Koz and Xerath player i can say that the main reason why these mages have shifted to the support lane is because mid lane is being dominated by hyper mobile champions, which Xerath and Vel'Koz are countered by. {{champion:238}} {{champion:157}} {{champion:39}} {{champion:55}} {{champion:7}} are every siege mage main's nightmare. Which is why alot of mages have been exiled to the bot lane, where they have a chance to play against a more fair champion. Xerath and Vel'Koz are two of the most fair, well designed and balanced champions. The issue is not in them. It's in the fact that the game has become so incredibly mage unfriendly, with every second champion having built-in mobility and huge burst. So my suggestion would be to look at the mobility and damage of the more popular mid laners instead of trying to gut the healthy and balanced champions. Tulare (NA) : Ah, that's an interesting point. I haven't looked at actual data in a while. I quickly reviewed my recent match history and I can see some evidence of what you've described. In games that we won, most of the time the bot laner (not always an AD marksman) had 15-25% more gold than the support. There were three or four cases, however, where they were about even, and one where the Neeko support had more gold than the laner. Zeromatsu (EUW) : For me a support has to do: 1. Go to a lane with someone and help/let him cs 2. place wards and deny enemy vision 3. assist the team (be it dmg or utilitywise) And protecting your carry isn't the supports job, it's the teams job. And assisting your team includes protecting your carry. And that doesn't mean you have to shield or heal him to achieve that. That's it. I don't expect them to babysit an adc, especially if the adc has no idea what he is doing. If dealing dmg means you win the game, go for it. But: Most dmg dealing supports are often overextending and are too fixated on dealing dmg. That's a problem, but it has nothing to do with the pick itself. I think we all had those Brand/Vel'koz/Lux or whatever that miss every skillshot and/or have bad positioning and get killed too often. And we all had those godlike Brand/Vel'koz/Lux etc. that carried the game. That's why I prefer enchanters over damage dealers myself. They are harder to mess up with.
