: This really isn’t confusing at all. I’ll be honest it comes across as more as a plea for attention. According to their messages they believe your account wasn’t breached, but instead you willfully gave it up. Unfortunately they can’t share how they came to that conclusion. What you need to do is contact them asking how to prove otherwise. It’s annoying, it’s time consuming, and it’s frustrating. But they wouldn’t have come to that conclusion if they didn’t have some kind of reasoning or evidence to support the claim. Working with customer support will get you better support than trying to work against them. Find out how you can prove you never gave away the account. I’ve had an account stolen before and got it back will relative ease. It’s all about figuring out what they need from you to prove it’s yours.

Find out how you can prove you never gave away the account. I’ve had an account stolen before and got it back will relative ease. It’s all about figuring out what they need from you to prove it’s yours. Yeah, but the confusing part for ME is that I did not give up my account to some hacker. I do not know how this person gained access to my account, and what they proceeded to do with it. From what they've wrote, and their ban reason, it must be this person triggered the ban. Since I know myself I have never used hacks, scripts, exploits, you name it and did not give this account away "willingly" I find them not even willing to communicate or help me figure this out very frustrating. I wish they would at least _try_ and help me.

This is two lies in one. I transferred multiple accounts across multiple regions over the years. If your name already exists in the new region, you get an information that you need to change it. If you wait for a looooooooong time, then this might happen - and that ONLY is realistic if you are either in a coma or otherwise miss that you purchased and executed a regional transfer, OR if you BUY an account from a third party source, which seems to be exactly what Riot has determined happened in your case.

: Regarding this person: why do you believe one side, but not the other? Maybe they DID check the account, maybe there WAS something that indicated the account was sold (look at the name for god's sake), and maybe OP is lying about this? Regardless of that, of course Jaspers and others are right: not adding a 2-step verification is idiotic in 2018. It shows that they DO have an issue with the quality of their Software Engineers, just like everybody in CA right now (thanks to Google ruining a generation of potentially good Engineers by making them lazy, overpaid, and lacking training and experience).

: Account was hacked, contacted support for help to recover it, so they banned me
So, no response to that final message yet where they say they support the ban even if it wasn't me using the scripts, because I have mismanaged my account. Apparently they believe I have had someone using my account, with my knowledge (so not the hacker) but won't explain how they came to this conclusion and why they believe this. I do not know how long my account was compromised, all I know is they started PLAYING ranked on the account, the 5th this month. I asked for clarification, have yet to hear anything. If they originally banned me for scripts, then say they know I did not use them, then proceed to flip the ban reason to being "account mismanagement" and uphold my account's ban (of course if I am hacked there has to be some form of mismanagement, otherwise I wouldn't be hacked...) then I am really confused. Like, if you get hacked it is ban-able that you were able to be hacked in the first place, so essentially do not get hacked or its GG. I think this is caused by a flaw in riots own login system and account security, possibly coupled with recent hacks that occurred to large platforms online which may have led them to my email and password (my bad for previously using largely the same login and password info on multiple accounts online, but this is a mistake I can remedy and secure the account against anything like this in the future... if only they would allow me change the password and email, I guess it is easier for them to just ban the account though) I did not intend for my account to be hacked... I have moved a lot, and used multiple computers in the past 7 years of owning this account. So if they believe the changing of locations and computers is me mismanaging my account, I would like to know this and have the chance to explain it.

This is a concern of mine as well, which is another huge reason I want an actual conversation with Riot to be able to clarify this. I have not used any websites promoting free RP (I am not a grandma who is like "oh boy free rp! better click this, download it and run it" :') I do not have a keylogger. My computer is clean. I have paid for antivirus and full protection. The only thing it could be really is some recent-ish events of large websites being hacked. I would hardly think (ex: myfitnesspal) being hacked would result in my losing my league account, but perhaps something along these lines is possible. Especially given if what other players have written on this thread are true. I would like to therefore discuss this with riot regardless of the outcome for the account, mainly to understand how this person gained access and what I should do, all of it depends on the nature of the hack and how it was possible for them to get access.
: Back in march, My account was permbanned. I asked the player support why, since I have never received any penalty in any form on my account. Player support responded with the following email: "It looks like our system placed a protection suspension on the account due to some suspicious activity! In order to investigate the account, for security purposes, we won't be able proceed while you are logged into a League of Legends account on our Support Site. In this case, if I could have you provide me with a different email (one that is not associated with a League account), that'd be awesome! Once you do this, I'll be able to create a new ticket for you using this other email where you can reply and, hopefully, proceed with investigating your account! Hope to hear from you soon!" After I gave a different email, I was sent a questionnaire to fill out, all relating to actions performed on the account that only you would know to prove it was your account, such as first champions bought, champions you played, what you had in my shop, etc. I was able to recover my account after the permaban. Hopefully the permaban you got was given in the same context as mine, that it was permabanned as protection against the hacker, rather than ignorance from riot.

I would hope something like this would proceed, but their response to my account recovery request tells me I was banned for script usage, and not over security purposes... Security purposes would be understandable and I would be a lot more comfortable sitting tight and waiting if they had told me something akin to that. When I reported the hacked account, it was via account recovery which had a series of questions and forms to fill in asking about that kind of info. Creation date, purchases, etc. I did offer them the bulk of this information, which should be accurate (as I have emails still in my inbox which show the exact dates of these things). However, even with giving them this information, and writing an explanation much alike the one on this thread (meaning I saw this person speaking in real time while on my account so I am 100% certain it has been hacked.. etc) Riot did not respond in anyway that acknowledged my request for account recovery or that my report detailed theft of account. They simply wrote those two emails I have included in this. Which is what I find so baffling.

No responses or replies to emails yet. I appreciate all of the support on this thread though. Thanks for trying to help me get this noticed!

This is my work & study computer, so I keep it very clean and only run things that are legal, paid for, and vouched for by large amounts of individuals as "safe". Also, being banned was their direct response to my support ticket for being hacked. The only question I have which could mean the account was being looked at before I wrote my ticket, is when and how this person gained access to my account, and how long they have had access before they began playing ranked, they may have had access before playing ranked and triggered something.

: I mean, if my KDA is 4/2/0 and I'm under some kind of influence then I'm probs gonna mention it because I think it's pretty funny. If I'm support and my boyfriend is ADC and I save him or die so he can get away I'll probably say something in /all like "This is why you love me IRL baby" or he'll say "3 years together and you're still saving me" or something equally ridiculous but it's in context and makes sense so it's not just someone blabbering about how many blowjobs they get in a day.
