If he caught every player on your team, that veigar either got insanely lucky, has mad skills, or your team grouped together which would let pretty much anyone do the same
: Sure, focus the turrets so both him and his turrets can focus you. Focus the turrets that take multiple hits to destroy (3+ in more scenarios). Focus the turrets who’s health scale on his level and his AP. There’s a reason every other summoner in this game has pets/summons with low health. Illaoi, Zyra, Yorick, Shaco (who’s duration is getting/just got nerfed) and the ones that are hard to kill are ultimate abilities (Yorick, Annie, Ivern). Heimer’s turrets are only easy to kill when he is not around and that is a problem.
they take 40% increased damage from melee attacks so at level 1 for a 60 AD champ (which I think most melee actually start higher) , they would take 82 before their armor let's say it's level 6, they would have 10 armor and 275 health with jax at the same level, he has 81 base AD or he hits for roughly 113 before armor. this is with no items and without using abilities if he uses his W at first max, he gets 110 bonus magic damage onto his normal damage and he can ignore all of their damage using his E darius can Q them and take them all out in one auto attack afterward Sion won't care about them at all Singed will just use heimer's wave clear against him quite a few champions have the means to deal with him and those that don't only have to farm until they can afford to all-in him
: Back when the balance team cared about game health Heimer would've been gutted but i'm pretty sure some of the balance team members abuse him and that's why he hasn"t seen a nerf in over a year of being an autowin in bot lane.
he has between 1 and 3% pick rate in all of those roles except support( 0.7% ), averaging at 2%, meaning you see him 1 in every 50 matches and are unlikely to be the person in said lane. His power is through obscurity
: I’m not looking at arbitrary tiers of “strength” because that’s an opinion and champion tier has no way of being quantified. I’m providing win rates and Heimerdinger is doing exceptionally well in too many places when he is picked.
and most champions get stronger through obscurity? it's a fact. Who are you going to know how to play against better: A champion you meet 1 in 10 games or a champion you meet 1 in 50 games? You then have to account for that you would have to be in that lane encountering said champion... he has a ZERO POINT SEVEN PERCENT pick rate in support, 7 in 1000 matches and then between 1 and 3% in his other lanes meanwhile, there are champions with 10 to 15 times his pick rate with skewed stats in their favor and some with quite a bit higher ban rate Senna as marksman has 55% win rate and 60% ban rate as just an example
: yeah, cuz counterpicking is the solution your knowledge about this game is so vast that I think you can apply for a job on riot's balancing team, I'm pretty sure u'll fit perfectly
he's also extremely frail and does poorly against multiple champions. If you have any methods of poke or sustain, you just wait a bit and then he can't outpace your any more unless you are absolutely pure melee, which is very rare
: Can Heimerdinger be looked at?
what you neglect to mention is that heimerdinger also has 2% pick rate in every division, meaning he is 1 in 50 chances of being encountered then, look at his stats compared to other champs by tier category of champion strength, he is #17 in top lane #15 in mid lane #8 as bot carry #unlisted as support https://u.gg/lol/tier-list?role=top Heimerdinger is always heimerdinger, but he's one of the least remarkable champs with all the problems that are around
5050BS (NA)
: Its not abusing the system. Its part of the system. Challengers use it all the time.
it's technically not. it's just something that riot can not prevent without installing something similar to a virus on your computer so that you can not force-close the client...which is pretty bad considering all of the problems there ALREADY ARE in the client
: heimer is literally the scum of the earth
this should be in rant heimerdinger is one of the least threatening things currently in the top lane with his 2% pick rate most champs gain power through obscurity and heimerdinger only has this happen in master division mordekaiser, garen and darius are pretty high on the list of problems: https://u.gg/lol/tier-list?role=top&rank=diamond_plus then there are a bunch of champions who offer frustrating experiences AND the potential for massive outplays clogging up the ban system

Aatrox isnt a juggernaut, to my knowledge. He does not have ANY of the traits a juggernaut has. Also swain is a battle mage. Like Ryze and Malzahar, hes not a juggernaut.
technically malzahar is an ordinary mage. He does not like close-quarters but CAN deny champions that get close
: What is a Juggernaut Mechanic/Steroid? Explained.
to be fair, while this is a reasonable point, it seems to exclude champions that are threats just by being themselves and not upon a massive steroid {{champion:420}} {{champion:31}} (he may gain health, but it's usually not chogath's health that you're worried about except in the case of his ultimate) {{champion:266}} {{champion:6}} etc typically what involves a juggernaut is that they have massive innate power and involve some method that is simple enough to play around. Take darius, you know that you want to avoid his Q at all costs, so you either go for the handle or evading it entirely (though his combo has a way around that) Dr mundo may be powerful, but he can only focus one target at a time and is slow while his ultimate is not procced and is vulnerable to grievous wounds and is entirely melee except for his Q Illaoi is part of her character where she teaches you not to fight her at bad times. If you try to fight her during her ult, you are either massively ahead or doomed to fail etc {{champion:106}} for instance may be one of the strongest melee characters around, but his primary strength is finding his opponents out of position. If you are not, there is very little chance he can even get to you, much less inflict damage
: "We don't like gameplay systems that promote non-interactive playstyles." ill believe that when they remove singed from the game.
well, singed does not have much going for him. He is powerful in his ability to disengage and fight within his poison, but that's about it. when he gets into range of tower, you can just peel him away from it and clear the wave effectively, he makes the fight a 4 v 5 or 4 v 4
: what you just described is the item is overpowered and not uninteractive. The concept is supposed to have the item be weak against multiple opponents, which makes it interactive. You also didn't address the counter-argument that Zz'rot doesn't require you to be the lane you use it in. You're basically proving my point.
no, you're grasping at straws here. What I said is that it is a glorified statstick. Without those stats, no one would pick it...it does nothing at all to improve interaction and instead only discourages it, encouraging split-pushing and discouraging any solo encounters, actually forcing 2 v 1's if your jungler doesn't come help you or another laner, you're toast. If you don't buy it yourself, you're toast. If you can not use it, you're toast ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY PERCENT GOLD EFFICIENT AT LEVEL 6 and if you can not use it, you're toast. How is that in any way a good design? especially when if you make it where it's not massively stat efficient, it's a terrible purchase...
: Co-op vs AI is flooded by botting
I remember the good ol' days where I played against players because they were easier to play against than bots, who coordinate and can crush you if you let them farm
Yenn (NA)
: Some of the changes are nonsense, but the complaints about support gold are weird and veritably wrong. If you look at Diamond+ support mains and compare their S9 games with S10 games of similar 30+ minute duration and kills + assists, they're coming out with slightly more gold in S10. Which makes sense, because in the late game, you're dancing around Baron and trying to control vision. You couldn't use your support item's active gold generation efficiently.
it's a little doubtful. at 3 gold per 10 seconds or 18 / minute , you're getting just over one charge of tier 2 spellthief or variably UNDER one minion of the relic shield line and even LESS comparable to the ancient coin line all you have to do is attack one champion or tower to more than double this income on the old items I would have to see the data source in order to make comparisons other than these
: Comparing Zz'rot and Sanguine is unfair, because Sanguine is miles ahead in interactivity compared to Zz'rot. Just because Sanguine is overpowered does not mean it is uninteractive in design. Zz'rot doesn't require you to be in a lane to push; Sanguine does.
how is an item that is MANDATORY to purchase in order to CONTEST ITSELF in any way shape or form more healthy? seriously, it's 150% gold efficient at level 6 and escalates to 190% at level 18 while providing a ton of stats... meanwhile, zzrot would involve watching your opponents, responding to their actions, sacrificing a portion of your own build's efficiency to build it (seriously, its stats were pretty terrible and have no synergy with any build other than tanks), provides vision...and there's probably more but wait "slapping each other with super-stat-sticks" is totally interactive, right?
: ^ This. Counterpicking is not counterplay, and in current league - really unhealthy. I also feel like this dev team has backed themselves into a corner with a series of poorly-planned and directionless decisions that wont be backtracked on due to nothing more than extreme hubris.

I didn't say your role was OP, I'm pointing out that the role must be better than you acknowledge, or else you wouldn't have enough agency in your games to achieve what you did. Requires some self-awareness and suppression of EGO.
Riot did not really affect the impact that the jungling role had. Instead, they reduced the amount of experience that ALL junglers acquired. While this was a nerf, it did very little to change the "gank forever" mentality because gank junglers benefitted from XP drops simply by leeching from lanes and still providing more impact the only farm-catered junglers who did well coincidentally had high clear times or new amounts of relevance in the game that kept them able to compete. Nunu is such an example with great clear times and now able to crowd control and deal damage in a large area
IainG10 (EUW)
: If you walk around an unwarded jungle against a fed Rengar and die to him repeatedly within 2 minutes of spawning, I'm gonna assume it's intentional; either directly because you want to feed him, or indirectly because you are refusing to learn and improve. I want neither of those kinds of players in my Ranked games. Some feeding, like not knowing when to run from a tower dive and when to fight it, or trying and failing a Smite steal on a jungle objective I will allow; it's blatant repeated stupidity I think is punishable.
you realize a lot of characters do not have great first clears and rengar can attack you so long as you do not have vision of him? If they're counter-jungling you successfully, there's basically nothing you can do except hope you get lucky in the time it takes to check the camps, you can clear one, maybe two if you are lucky. Counter-jungling is a fairly rare tactic, but it exists and is easier to pull off the lower division you are in

Diana is a diver, who always have decent damage so that they have a chance of killing their target when they "dive" into the fray. Riot has always been notoriously bad at categorizing champions, but diving has always been her job, but the assassin build was OPTIONAL AND OFTEN SUB-OPTIMAL and "builds" only mimic the effects of another class, they do not make a character become that class... ---------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------- on to the mages. Morgana was always a mid-laner but was periodically pushed out as AD assassins and others became normal and AP characters were buffed to compensate. With a lack of area of effect damage, her skills were put to better use in the bottom lane so that there could be a backup carry who had good utility. She became an offensive support as part of one of the most diverse lanes in league but nothing about her was changed, still providing her role as a zoning mage. her kit could not keep up with the new toys that kept coming out and she did not even recieve a full VGU like kayle did...She returned to the mid-lane because they buffed her already POSITIVE win rate by an absurd amount, making her easy to crush mid-lane with Brand I would have a tough time believing he was a support before the support item changes or even after that. He is absurdly mana hungry and recent changes like masteries and runes reforged have given him enough mana to stay in lane. In addition to that, Riot changed him so that a HUGE CHUNK of his damage can be attributed to his new passive zyra I will concede, but she was a very rare pick If you want an example of how ABSURD everything is recently, take a look at Malzahar {{champion:90}} became a support champion for a while for one reason and one reason only: his passive was changed to almost eliminate any chances of engaging him. His kit has suffered repeatedly and his new, weird passive has been the least changed of everything about him

: The only thing I find funny is you left out a few assassins, namely ones that don't follow your idea. Riot themselves classify Nocturne as an Assassin. He doesn't have a "way out" like you state. Rengar is an assassin. He has no way out after jumping in (the small MS boost from the beginning of his ult doesn't count, as that's supposed to be his engage tool). Now, you can call these champions Divers, but they're not similar to the rest of the Divers, just like how some assassins aren't like other assassins. It's the same argument. The important parts are bolded, BUT, did you seriously say that "the ability to instantly kill a single target" makes someone an assassin? HALF THE ROSTER AT THE MOMENT CAN DO THAT!!! {{champion:134}} ? {{champion:1}} ? {{champion:53}} ? {{champion:31}} ? {{champion:114}} ? {{champion:9}} ? {{champion:126}} ? {{champion:11}} ? {{champion:23}} ? Does that mean that because damage has gone up by quite a bit and offensive builds are now the norm, that almost everyone who can build offense is an assassin? #here is a list of most of the assassins, let's note what they have: {{champion:84}} : defensive shroud to move at leisure, multiple dashes to get to her target and she gets into and out of fights as part of her playstyle by engaging in hit and run tactics... {{champion:28}} stealth with a disengage ultimate, engages in hit and run tactics {{champion:105}} untargetable, multiple dashes {{champion:245}} a dash that can be used as either an engage or disengage, an ultimate that transports him 4 seconds back in time with no range limit that can also be used offensively {{champion:555}} camouflage, a movement speed increase that stuns anyone that tries to follow, a resetting dash, the ability to recover up to 60% of damage taken (72% if he has spirit visage) if he so much as presses his camouflage button {{champion:121}}: multiple stealth, long-range dash that resets upon kill {{champion:55}} a blink (that can blink to her own daggers, so she can escape a fight if she has accomplished her task) and cooldown resets for it among the rest of her kit. She is one of the strangest assassins in league's history that gave up reliable escapes to instead have the ability to potentially devastate the entire opposing team at once {{champion:91}} : while we're on the subject of assassinating multiple targets at once, here is one of the poster boys for assassins in league. He can rake, Q in, ult and be gone in an instant while dealing massive damage. dash, invisibility, movement speed boost, able to dash over any terrain obstacle {{champion:35}} Shaco is chaos is shaco. He has two blinks, invisibility, delayed crowd control and attacking his clone is detrimental to anyone nearby it {{champion:238}} multiple blinks...I can't even describe him his kit is so...I guess playing whack-a-mole comes to mind. Zed has always been a game of numbers. When he's strong, he's insufferable. When he's tolerable, you can see the skill involved in playing him . #notice something? every assassin character engages in hit and run tactics... now, let's list some specialists that USED TO BE ASSASSINS {{champion:103}} {{champion:7}} {{champion:38}} #and finally, the special mentions category {{champion:29}} although he plays as hit and run, this is typical of marksmen and his safety is almost wholly reliant upon being able to scale with items {{champion:133}} is very reliant upon split pushing and the early game. While she may play like an assassin by going after a single target and then getting away from the fight, she is difficult to classify because traditional marksmen builds do not work for her and her safety is all superficial or very limited. How do you classify a character that wants to get in close, but also has little reason for that closeness and prefers to get as far away as possible after getting close and has to maintain the fight after that. She's like an odd combination of marksman, diver and assassin... {{champion:76}} while possessing an abundant means of mobility and damage, does not lock down on any key point and primarily relies on an opponent being out of position near a wall or bush. This makes her more similar to a diver than an assassin and her kit is very weird in that she ONLY excels in these situations, otherwise she is reduced to just using her Q {{champion:53}} while blitzcrank can build entirely for damage and eliminate roughly any target(though he can kill squishies), his AP build that is most effective for this purpose is limited against durable targets and he instead relies on allies collapsing on the vulnerable opponent. If he is built for AD, he can handle more bulky opponents, but the build is very inefficient and easy for an opponent to take advantage of The special mentions is a bit long, but I forgot one of the originals and just worked with who I could find . #Characters' builds and playstyles can change to suit the times, but notice how the core of them does not change and instead it's always a title to "mimic" another class? assassin chogath, assassin blitzcrank. If you take a look at playing chogath as an assassin, he abuses FLASH to get an instant combo on the opponent for a kill

While their choice is poorly worded, so too was the response that something might be "perceived" as an insult you have to bare in mind that this is a forum and communication is neither instant nor constant. Warwick he had someone hovering over him eternally, only allowed to say "yes" or "no" to his designs XD Even with that, warwick still got several dashes, a global passive and half-map active, an AOE fear effect ...and quite a bit which has been removed CT's designs tend to be good but his problems lie in that not everyone is a CT, so pretty much any champion which does not meet his standards is dumpstered by his champions The original thresh took TWO YEARS of constant changes and nerfs to balance out to the level of other supports and he's still the most popular support
: As Yuumi sat on a sub-30% winrate and everyone thought she was weak but nobody knew how to play her. Winrate means very little. More often than not, when a new champion releases and their winrate is high, it's because nobody knows how to play against them/what to expect. Same with Qiyana; low winrate on release then went on to curbstomp worlds. Senna's kit is much less complicated than all of the new releases this year.
doesn't most of her win rate h ave to do with discovering cheese strategies like the garen/yuumi combo?
