You guys make me laugh. Your all right in your owm ways but I feel like it would be a lot of exchanging of towers and make taking risks like diving a lot riskier. I think you would be a cool game mode even if they only tried it for a day just to see what the Dynamics would be like

This is not good news. Everyone will be happy, but I think this is a downward spiral into longer game times. On one hand i'm glad Riot listened to there players, on the other I wish they came up with something better then exactly what they wanted haha.

Yeah exactly, can even have a category of "Bad experience" or "Broken" etc. Riot wouldn't do it, because they'd think it'll encourage it, but in reality, every AA themed meeting involves talking an expressing yourself, angry or not. So i think its good therapy and people who want to rage but don't feel comfortable, would then know they have a place for it. Thanks for the post.

: The only reason I think it is a bad idea is because then Riot is saying "hey your stats matter", which I mean obviously they do but even with a bad kda you can still win. The argument of kda and one's grade has been used before for ranking up but it is always shot down. Mainly because if kda mattered so much then people would either deffer learning other parts of the game or would no longer want to dive as much in teammfights or split push. Although dying less sounds good and it should help sometimes you need players who are going to get dirty and jump in and use that {{champion:32}} ult or what have you. I think Riot has decided that the equation for ranking up is simple "Win at all costs". If KDA or grade become a ranked factor then that would change how people play ranked. Granted some of it would be for the better but it would also be for the worse as well.
I understand what you're saying. And it definitely should not be based off of KDA. and frankly the grading system without a doubt needs to be improved for a broader skill set. But I think the core of the idea stays the same. That is why if riot could program a better grading system the way it's supposed to be then the idea would actually work perfectly in theory. Same with losing less IP for a loss that you did well in. I guess the idea isnt glorious enough for the layman to except unforcunatly.

Okay. Okay. Okay. Yesss. I get it everybody. If you suck and you cant escape bronze you belong there. It doesnt matter how bad your team is. Its you and only you who has the power to escape.... ( I disagree with this but apparently that's what everybody believes commenting on my idea) BUT THAT DOESNT change the fact that my idea would work well for players who do deserve to get out and get out faster... is anyone reading the idea?

That is absolutely true. But even then that player should get a little bonus. But I agree that the system definitely needs tweaking.

: Basically what erchlorate said. I do have an account chilling in bronze 2 right now and the games are definitely more frustrating than even in mid silver. Its not even the fact players do dumb shit as much as the fact as how everyone wants to give up right away. In just a few games in bronze I could not believe how much more rage I see than in low silver borderline gold. I get people are mad about being in bronze but raging about it and taking it out on ones teammates is not going to get you to rank up any quicker. But yea in the end... if you don't deserve bronze then getting out should not be too big of a deal. If it is then you have some learning to do. Once you learn some new things and get better climbing will become much easier. Its all about perseverance.
I'm not saying that you're wrong but it doesn't add to this point I'm trying to make. If you think it's a bad idea then why. By stating that because you're not good enough you're going to stay in bronze does not change the fact that if you are good enough then you will get out of bronze faster with my idea implimented.

: I dont agree with the 20 mins games. If all games were avg 20 mins, then late game carries will be useless cause they wont be able to scale. What I do like is, the death timer and the turrets are weak atm cause then games ends around 30-40mins top and some pre 30 mins. MY PROBLEM IS, in high elo the turrets are so weak lane swaps happen so often in high competitive play that its boring to watch both side do the same thing without fighting or trading or harassing eachother in lane (atleast players can watch them do it and learn how to lane, cs, and certain matchup). I say make the turret strong enough early game to prevent lane swaps or atleast make it less attractive then conventional laning. What I want to see in high elo play is who wins 1v1 or who wins 2v2 and which jungler can gank better. Not 4 man goes top and 4 man goes bot and trade turrets. So increase the strength on the turrets early but make it weaker later into the game to keep the game fast pace after laning phase. Like make the turret stronger the more champions that are near including ally teammates for the FIRST 5-7mins of the game and then remove that passive after 5-7mins.
Thanks for the comment :) I get where your coming from, but it wouldnt be the same game if it was 20 minutes. It would be scaled accordingly. So Creeps would be worth a lot more gold, and people would level faster. Its all pretty easy to incorporate. But it wouldnt be the same LawL we're use too. But it be a nice option. They should just attempt it.. Give it a try and see. Maybe people might like it more. Quicker more exciting games, filled with momentum all moving faster. As far as turret strength. Well, look at what you said. 4 guys trading towers. Ive seen what your talking about, and it does seem silly. But it requires 4 champs. At what point do you think turrets will be strong enough. When they wipe through minis like nothing, and kill a player in 2 shots. Remember, again, LawL is all risk reward. If you wanna send 4 guys bot fine. But then that leaves baron open or buffs open. And thats also with the assumption that 4 people are going to try and trade and not fight. So I believe its more of League of Legends that needs changing rather than the turrets. If we really wanna look at the big picture. I get that higher ELLOS are a different world then the ranks the rest of us play in, but the idea stays the same. If you want the whole "trading of turrets" to change. Then make the health of the first turret really really high. And the rest the same. This way it requires a lot more time and a lot more risk. I think thats a simple solution to what everyones asking. Remember, if you die once early on, in top or mid. Your not going to lose your entire tower before you respawn. But you also died... So the opposing team made the better play. You lose a tower, its your fault. Making it strong just allows players too make more mistakes. If you only want this to somehow apply to higher ellos, like say, MLB vs PEEWEE well thats another discussion. But as it stands, the turrets are strong enough that it requires a team to make big plays fast. And a team to prevent them. And thats all LawL is, a team game of risk and reward. <3

I'm glad we see eye to eye on some things. Thanks for your comment. You must be a very nice person because I never feel bad when I win after an ace never ever not once. You gotta remember, what happens if they come back that's a guaranteed extra 5-10 minutes now. Look at it like this, League of Legends could be a little like boxing. No matter what round it is, youre either ahead, behind, or you're tied. That ace is like The Knockout Punch. That boxer is just hoping he doesn't get back up he doesn't feel bad that he knocked him out all he wants is for him to not get back up. All you want is for them to stay dead and get to that Nexus. You lower those death timers and you're guaranteed a swing upwards in time averages without a doubt whatsoever, and if the community agreed that they wanted longer game times then that would be the best course of action first. And if thats the case. I better get more than 20 LP for a win. Winning should be a seriously big deal. But then that makes losing rougher as well. Sooo. I just dont believe its a fair idea. :/

: There are a few spells that go through it, which also applies to sivir's spell shield. Mainly Dot abilities though {{champion:32}} w {{champion:34}} ult {{champion:42}} e {{champion:36}} w {{champion:9}} w {{champion:105}} ult (this one is super complex, using a qss will drop the fish, but you'll still be heavily slowed, spell shields will block the damage, but you'll still be knocked up, and as far as I know, it's impossible to block the fish from reaching it's destination) fizz q ALSO goes through spell shields, due to it's physical and magical damage components, so you only block one form of damage. {{champion:41}} ult {{champion:86}} e {{champion:120}} w {{champion:11}} q is actually impossible to block, trust me, i've tried all ground targeted aoe abilities that do damage over time aren't blocked, and most multi-hit abilities only block one spell
HMMMM!! Thanks for this in-depth response. But this kind of adds credence to my query. There should be a detailed section on Champs moves in cases like this. Riot puts so much time in, I dont think it be a big deal to explain these particular things. If Yasuos wind wall blocks the fish ult, then the noct W should too. I dont understand how they make there programming decisions on what wins over what. For instance, Hecs E (charge) vs Poppys Charge, where poppys wins if Hecs Charging. HMMM!!!!!

Hmm. Okay ill focus more on it, because I wouldnt make this message, if it didnt seem messed. Maybe its the animation, because when I've had the bubble, ive been hit and take dam. Its happened many times. So i assumed its maybe only for certain things. Although like you said, it could just be the timing is off, and i need to get better with it.

: Gnar. He has more damage, more poke, more siege, more tank, more cc, more play making ability and more escapes. He is slightly more difficult to manage with his mini and mega forms but get that down good and you will do well.

: Badges won't exactly add that much more to the game other than a bit of novelty and promoting potentially selfish play (I just need 100 more minions until I get my badge, so I'm going to kill minions instead of participating in teamfights). It's still a neat idea, but there are many other things that would improve gameplay more for less coding effort.
Your right, I understand that point. And it might be a waste of resources. But in defense of it, every console game, and every pc game bought through steam has "rewards", and or "badges"... Soo its most definitely something people enjoy. People love stats. People love to compare and be the best, its in our genes. So badges are just added to the aura of competition. Someone focusing on just badges would be lame if they chose that over winning. But that said, I get what your saying, and people will without a doubt be like that. But i don't think everyone would. Idk, better to have than not. With these types of things I think.

Thanks guys for being supportive an positive! Thanks SmokingPuffin (Thumbs up!) I don't know the ranked world unfortunately. So i'm still noobish in that sense. But I didn't know how it worked and i'm assuming my fellow early adopters don't either, they should definitely put that somewhere. :) Yeah but they should have clans for lower levels. Shouldn't be Ranked only IMO. Also, what about badges?? For-Instance "100000 minion kills" etc. That be cool and fun with leveling.
