: Pantheon rework was trash if you're not ahead as panth, you're more useless then your team's support. This coming from panth main for over 8 yrs. You lose all the match ups you previously won with ease. Pantheon may work is low elo' where pretty much any champ works, but gets bulled by pretty much every champ top, because of high cd's and trasy engage not inlucding the lack of damage. https://gyazo.com/9228116a65a78c2229a759886817af42 Deffo strong.

Visually and thematically they were good, I guess that was the motive I was going for. I wish Swain had more buffs to make him viable in solo lanes. Urgot too. I still see a lot of panth top and he's pretty alright. Idk why people were crying bout this.

How the fuck is swain SOLID? Absolutely nothing from him remains. Unique gameplay thrown into the trash compactor for another generic hit long range skillshot-->burst burst mage. Dont even talk about his looks and personality. And the worst part is him being viable for like a month before gutted into nothingness where now when he used to be a good top and midlaner his best role now is FUCKIN SUPPORT. Yeah pretty solid rework. Also: Alienating pretty much all his playerbase to a point he now has a lower playerbase than before. Htis rework is atrocious and a fuckin insult to the community.
He looks and sounds way better I have zero idea what you're talking about there lmao but I guess its all subjective. However, I too agree that I wish he was better in solo lanes and not primarily a support now. Sure his kit is pretty simple, but mind you pretty much everything is burst now even if it's not supposed to be it's post runes reforged. Did you want him to have more DoTs again? It was interesting and I played lots of him pre-rework so I know what I'm talking about. But he felt way less useful when behind compared to now.
: He's alright which is funny because he's never banned or picked. Probably the most balanced champion upon release which is amusing considering the previous releases.
Pick/Ban? Definitely so. He is also pretty balanced IMO, not much I'd say in terms of tweaking except maybe his W late game. GJ Riot, you did a good (seems like its been a while)

: A lot of reworks usually are for the greater good and give forgotten/ gutted champions much needed love that also gives a new story with new fun gameplay. Examples would be like Poppy, Yorick, Taric, Warwick, Nunu, Sion. The ones you mostly are talking about are from CertaintyT.
Also {{champion:50}} {{champion:6}} and {{champion:80}} were all pretty solid too. A lot of the CertaintyT type reworks and new champs are in balance limbo. Edit: I mean thematically and on paper. People are whining because they're not as fla$hy and overtuned like the other reworks. Could they use some buffs? Sure. Least Swain and Urgot, I still see some panth players pop off.

I thought this was baller. Really felt that the roster was bigger than like 10 this time around. Visually rito NEVER disappoints with this kind of goodness. It was nice seeing the Zaun and Piltover part. The fact that both Sylas AND Galio were in it was sick. I could give much less of a fuck that ezreal and kaisa were in it but their sequence was aight. The remix of the song was pretty interesting. It felt darker, but more intense which was goosebump material. I still like the original song by imagine dragons too (despite their reputation of being one of the most annoying low effort bands) it was one of their best.

: Whoever designed the new voli ..
The first champ I got to mastery 7. I've been waiting for this rework for years. I really dig it EXCEPT two things, which one is an easier fix than the other. 1. Make this boi the "Thousand Pierced Bear" like it was in the lore and give him some weapons in the backside. 2. He almost looks cute on all fours, not savage or scary. Though this is probably still in development so HOPEFULLY they'll change it up a lot. Other than that holy hype this looks dope.

: anyone experiencing pure stomp games
I remember the last game I had that was over 40 minutes was ~2 weeks ago. I remember the reason they won is because our teemo afk'd and their nasus could free farm and became unkillable late game, and our jg was something like 3/10. IMO the most intense and memorable games in league were around 35-45 mins. Most games apparently are running between 15-25mins now. You can power up so absurdly fast, faster than an opponent who's only slightly behind, then you get this stomp experience. It feels indifferent to win and even worse to lose an ff@15 game.

: Certain Champions have been buffed and buffed over the tipping point
Brand is capable of doing lots of damage yes, but he's not very strong until you get into teamfights if he's fed. I agree Garen is still nuts. I'm surprised {{champion:82}} {{champion:523}} {{champion:245}} and {{champion:114}} are left untouched in terms of balance changes.
: Feels like the end of year was a huge let down this season
Extremely good concept, not the best execution. It seems like Dragon Souls and Elder buff > Baron in terms of winning a game.
: {{champion:32}} {{champion:42}} {{champion:54}} {{champion:21}} {{champion:33}} {{champion:68}} {{champion:134}} some disappointing/embarrassing champions that I would love to see reworked. *edit* Yall can reply angrily as much as you want. I stand by this statement. And the issues with these champs are so old and over-talked-about that I honestly don't believe you are sincerely ignorant to them. Not shocked people are trying to change the subject to gameplay specifically when I'm talking about their entire design as a whole.
Your first two are good candidates. I think the rest on this list are fine and dont need em. Some have a higher skill floor like Rumble, and some like Syndra aren't too prevalent this meta because "muh assassins Lc$ baby" and immobile mages are a no-no. MF sells because sex appeal, I don't think she's in a terrible spot kit-wise she would just need standard balance changes.
: Poro king I get. URF on the other hand is just 10 to 15 champs being way OP when being able to be play similarly to how Yasuo plays normally. Urf was intended as a joke but some people liked it unironically and the game is not better for it.

URF started to become a competitive and toxic mode due to this. It was supposed to be really fun. I think Poro King doesn't need this problem cause the mode doesn't have 80% cdr and free spell costs or whatnot.
Bultz (NA)
: Why is Poro King now random champions?
Honestly I wasn't mad about ARURF because people were tryharding a mode that was supposed to be fun and ridiculous. I know a META began to develop for classic URF and that takes the fun out of it IMO. HOWEVER, even though I saw trends appearing in classic poro king (heavy poke champs everywhere) I still feel like it should've been a free select mode this time around. This mode doesn't have 80% cdr and unlimited champ resources, so what is the excuse?
: What do you consider to be the biggest issue with playing this game?
Wish I could vote for multiple. But basically, Way too high damage, Tanks not being tanky, Snowballing is insane, and (dunno if it counts) Riot's favoritism to champs that sell skins (riven, kai'sa, vayne etc.) I honestly never notice matchmaking issues often, maybe its more of a ranked thing I dunno.
: Riot, since you clearly don't understand, let me tell you exactly what you're missing.
I'd pay for custom announcers too, idk about map skins. Honestly they should just make new maps and game modes but noooo they dont make enough $$$ Coaching would be insane, but idk how the small indie company could pull it off. While a lot of people aren't exactly wrong (lots of my friends say this) by saying you don't NEED to buy eternals, you shouldn't have to pay for achievements period. I bet at this point you may as well bribe the balance team to balance the game considering they listen to the bills rather than the players that give a shit
: Pantheon Ult needs a change.
I don't have an issue with the ult, it looks badass and I see people hitting with ults MORE than before. People are whining because the old version of the champ was braindead and now they need to learn champ mechanics. I will say, once his numbers are balanced out (he seems pretty damn weak rn, that or everyone just sucks idk) then he'll be a successful rework.
: "We won't make video about rework champion " What you mean is we YOU are too lazy to actually work.
Damn, all the stuff that felt like authentic league back when I started is starting to fade away. Hasn't been a login screen dedicated to a new/reworked champ since Sylas if i'm not mistaken either. Unless you count arcade Qiyana being in the login screen, but that isn't really the same. The legendary skins are getting them over the champs at this point lmao. Both Jhin and Pyke got login screens. And now champ spotlights? Shoot it makes me think why I still play sometimes... Oh well, we got auto chess and paid achievements (the first I've ever encountered in my 15 years of gaming) to keep us tied over till the LC$ gets here.

: Elderwood Yorick would have made more sense, you get to summon treants and put people in a bramble wall that grows. Then you someone some sort of tree spirit to fight for you as your ult. But it doesn't make sense because this new elderwood theme does not fit the theme of the original Hecarim skin at all. They could have called it "Mystic wood" and it would have worked except for Ahri having a skin.

: In your opinion, who is the worst champ in the game to firstpick?
{{champion:136}} without a doubt. His kit just screams "pick a long range mage or any assassin" Which are both extremely popular. It's nice that we get counterplay, but 90% of the popular roster shouldn't be able to shit on one champ. Sure he had presence in pro play but then he was nerfed probably because it wasnt fla$hy enough.

With the Volibear lore changes making him some sorta lovecraft type monster bear rather than a golden compass bear, he'd NEED a VGU, not minor tweaks. I hope he's a contender for the next VGU guarantee vote because thats where my money is at right now. First champion I got to m7, and now he's a bad joke of a champ.
: Jesus Christ, just remove Tahm's ally Devour at this point.

: God I have enought of favoritism toward popular champion to remain OP
Finally somebody who sees it. They want mobility, high damage, great skins to sell, and usually a combination of all three. Notice the lack of tanks on the list? Because they're all busy getting nerfed or having damage buffs instead of survivability.... A good example of favoritism is this guy: {{champion:83}} Is buffed and strong for like a patch or 2. Riot employee 1: Hey you know how we decided to buff Yorick? Riot employee 2: Yeah, I think he was in somewhat of a rough spot before, and we hope these changes will help with his quality of life. Riot employee 1: About that...you know he's not mobile nor does he sell lots of skins right? Riot employee 2: Oh god NERF HIM IMMEDIATELY* Another example is the fact that champs like {{champion:67}} Vayne is "on the border" of being nerfed, and her win rates have skyrocketed since the buffs (and right before the new skin if im not mistaken) shows that they're pussies because they don't want their poster children to be weak. Prestige skins amirite? (Except Aatrox because he's not allowed to be viable anymore) {{champion:92}} Riven too "Oh shes just a problem in the west" or whatever that quote was. I'm surprised {{champion:84}} wasn't on the OP's list, but at the same time that champion is usually in balance limbo, alongside {{champion:39}} *{{champion:83}} is in a decent spot still, but the fact that he's not popular, nor is he not mobile or have skins that scream "Omg buy me" he gets nerfed quick.

: What are people opinions on sylas so far?
Damage: Surprisingly low unless you're running electrocute. Utility: The ult stealing is semi-effective but thats also the minds of the players. His cool downs seem really low, making him annoying to trade with despite his low base damage. The knockup feels like its forever too. Defenses: The shield feels like it doesn't exist but the healing is really strong. All in all, not horrible for a release champ but I expect he'll get damage buffs and healing nerfs in typical riot fashion.

: Please bring back nexus blits
I'm scared it'll turn out like URF and just become a competitive, toxic, try hard mode if it becomes permanent. It definitely is a lot of fun in certain doses, and its a surprisingly good way of learning a champ because people aren't salt and soy spraying your face if you screw up. With smalls exceptions, I've seen some bitter people on NB, but very rarely.
: Riot: "We're having Akali keep her shroud as it makes her very unique."
I mean shields feel pretty useless anyways but the shield damage mechanic is still pretty unique. Same with the disarm, even though most people run away from her when she ults. It seems stupid that riot is scared of a simple solution so they desperately beat around the bush instead of addressing simpler spots, destroying what makes champs unique. Honestly, I'd just... you ready? **LOWER HER DAMAGE** Or tweak her dashes, that too.

: >a little bit of armor pen. he has more than Garen with less effort. Wither is one of the strongest CC spells in the game and is absolutely ruinous to AS-based enemies. Nasus's potency as a disabler is being massively undersold here because he can fire-n-forget unlike basically any other juggernaut. Nasus is also one of the highest damage juggernauts in terms of single target DPS _potentially,_ but more importantly he's also one of the few who's still valuable to his team when put behind. The real "problem" with Nasus is that he has never actually catered to his infinite stack late game god fantasy any time he's relevant in high elo. Every appearance Nasus has made in high MMR or competitive has involved him forgoing stacks entirely and using an E-max build for wave control and lane dominance. His kit is basically entirely revolving around his Q, but he doesn't even put emphasis on the Q. Before that, back in season 3 he was a Wither bot and, again, barely emphasized stacking Qs. Volibear was a strong champion in S6 and in early S8; it's not his fault that Riot trashed on his items and then nerfed him directly both times he was good. Garen's flaw isn't being basic. Mundo's viability is way more reliant on how good defensive runes and items are than whether or not you bought Grievous. Cho'Gath isn't a juggernaut and Mordekaiser's bugs are massively overstated. You're selling all of these champions short.

I was kinda pissed that Riot nerfed him twice. Even though the knockback on his roar was helpful, he still feels kind of like a shell since then. Haven't had any luck with him unless I had a really early lead top lane- but jungle he's rare but decent.
: Fuck cass tbh. Bullshit champion
The only time shes in the spotlight top laners weep and demand nerfs. They get them too, since Cass isnt an assassin or a conqueror user.
: Would you recommend this game to people?
About two seasons ago maybe. A lot of people are right though, the new player experience is DREADFUL. I was fortunate enough when I started to have full parties of my friends, I doubt I'd be able to get into the game on my own merits. Truthfully I never play solo anymore anyways. It's hard to learn when you're staring at a grey screen more than you're moving since everything kills you in less than 2 seconds. So now, No, no I wouldn't recommend it cause Im trying to ween away my addiction.

Dukues (NA)
: Riot Balance & Design teams have cured my addiction
Might be a tad bit of a read but heres my story: Started at the midpoint/ end of season 4, right around the time {{champion:150}} came out for any clarity. Learning what all the champs do and all that was so much fun. Early reworks like Sion started happening and it was ok. I remember fondly doing 5man LAN parties in my friends basement and trying badass new comps. It was the shit, even though it was frustrating and I was complete garbage for the first few weeks. I was massively hooked in by season 5, and my peak moments playing the game were around the time of the mage update, so would that be 6? I noticed a decline in the game by the assassin update point, and when they reverted the unique, but godly powerful {{champion:96}} rework. I also played a lot of {{champion:136}} at the time, and seeing him nerfed repeatedly and all these hyper bursty and hyper mobile champs succeed really rubbed me the wrong way... When runes reforged came out I realized I was just playing out of addiction at this point. Everything was doing way too much damage, and the strategy got destroyed. A lot of people blame the runes reforged as the sole reason, but I feel this was coming since the season before. The last time I GENUINELY got excited about anything league related was the {{champion:50}} update. I played the old version a ton and got to m6 on him. He was a champ I didn't roll my eyes thinking "how broken is this one gonna be?" like pretty much every rework/new champ around this time and forward (with the exception of nunu, just don't find him interesting) I also believe that from a business standpoint, Riot won't try fixing the hyper mobility shit-storm the game is almost completely turned into. They brought in insane revenue at worlds, and their advertisements about having lots of "flashy plays" and shit probably have done them well in terms of money. Making more money supports the livelihood of the employees. Although with all the allegations against Riot this year and all that, I'm surprised people aren't trying to quit. I wish I could have fun like I used to. "Adapting" to the new state of the game is shitty. I may sound jaded, but the battle Royale Insta-gib, and the "you must play S rank champs or else you're trolling" all really fuck with me. I used to play almost every night, but now I take breaks between days and weeks even, and sometimes I used to do over 5 games a night, now I usually do 3. So in a sense, maybe I'll do something better in my life not playing this game as much as it is. But I can't help but feel down about how the spark is gone.
: dont bother posting things like this. Riot wont pay attention to any of this because they dont care, and they would rather draw in a toxic community that buys all the skins from op meta champions then the nice playerbase that experiments with more than one champion.

I love the idea of playing off meta picks. It's my favorite cause when I queue into league I usually have a champ in mind or a fantasy to play. However, this is now unsupported. Where before it was maybe not the best option but not a complete hamstring of your team.
EXACTLY SO!!! I hate feeling like I'm handicapping our team because I want to play someone like {{champion:136}} (riot definitely hates Asol btw) {{champion:69}} {{champion:50}} (top 3 of my favourite mid laners) simply because they rely on sustained damage- which is my favourite type of mage (comes from wow), some may argue that Swain isn't and ok, but the other two definitely do. Not only are my picks immobile, but they're easily countered by everything else because everything else 100-0 people. The idea that playing out a fantasy character is not relevant, unless you're an edgleord, because almost all meta champs are also insanely edgy.
: Off meta picks
I've seen Riven jungle before and it works well once you get an item or two. But sadly we're cucked because unfortunately your question is true, even though Riot is trying to say otherwise. : The First URF was fun. After that people figured out all the OP shit, so having normal URF would either result in the same broken shit getting picked every game, or it would result in the devs actually having to seriously balance URF, which defeats the purpose.
My thoughts exactly. Having a meta for a mode that was genuinely made for fun would suck all the fun about it and people would rage HARD. People jerk themselves angry about having no freedom to pick the broken picks in ARURF, but it doesn't make them impossible. I've had more people rq in URF than normal games anyways. ARURF makes it more unpredictable and more fun.
: Dying seems to = inting these days
Because of how high damage is and how one-shots are more and more common, most kills can literally come out of nowhere without anything you can do about it. Sometimes the enemy gets so far ahead from an early snowball, and if they got the mobility too (like most meta champs) they can easily destroy players that are behind and are trying to play safe. I still see the discrepancy between having zero chance of surviving a zed popping out and one shooting you out of nowhere compared to the tilted support who runs down mid and giggles waiting for the game to finish up.

Similar to *Mecha Aurelion Sol, I feel like Riot just pulled this idea out of their ass just to say Kled can finally have a skin. My suggestion was like a "Stuntman Kled" type of skin very patriotic-like with eagle screeching on the ult or some hillbilly metal riff. *Even though I get the fantasy of a huge mecha dragon, they honestly had way better ideas they probably squashed.
