: A lore question: Do Noxian names have a real world link?
I think the Noxian language is itself inspired by German (some of which was shown with Urgot's lore, if I'm not mistaken), but like German, I imagine the massive spread of Noxus has made their language quite dialectal, not to mention absorbing words from their trading partners and/or their provinces (in this sense, conquered areas). This would likely include the basis for most Noxian names, though one would imagine that in their outlying provinces in Ionia and Shurima, naming conventions would stay at least pretty close to the native Ionian and Shuriman ones, regarding the conquered peoples.
: The reason at some point in the future Yordles Camo/Glamour needs to be lifted/removed.
Given that champions are specifically supposed to be special, unique, and literally legendary people of Runeterra, I think it can be assumed that all champions, human or not, can see through a Yordle's glamour. It might make it tedious for NPCs, but they don't have nearly as much prominence as the main champions, and plenty of NPCs can probably see through glamour as well, especially important ones. So it might not be so tedious after all; at least, I hope this is the route that Riot goes.
: So now that Senna's out the door...
I have a feeling that we might actually get the Lunari released with the Lunar Revel event; it could be all too fitting. Or for Blood Moon, depending on when that pops up next year.
: Will we see a novella that was announced earlier this year?
I believe the novella will come after the Zed comic. If I'm not mistaken, I think the Zed comic was originally set to release late this year in its entirety, but now, I think it will either start this year and go into 2020 or be entirely in 2020 (someone clarify this for me). The same is probably true of the novella; it'll be in 2020 now. **And maybe we'll finally get some Sona lore with it.** {{sticker:sona-playing}}
: Has Caitlyn ever caught a Yordle with her traps?
It's a relic from the old lore when Yordles were more easily found, but I think we can infer from that ability that she can see Yordles by default. I'm assuming all champions can. Now, we know Teemo raids Zaun for his mushrooms, and he was the probable namesake for Caitlyn's ability in the first place, so maybe the traps are indeed for Teemo...{{sticker:poppy-wink}}

: Here I was thinking Coven was gonna come back, then this abomination shows up on PBE. It isn't only that it's Pulsefire Thresh, something like that maybe could've worked, but this is just such a low effort skin. Snow Day Lee Sin is basically a given, since he's the last Prestige skin left and it's for tokens. Plus, he would be just perfect in snow day gear. Was he available when Dragon Oracle Udyr came out? The most likely time for him to appear in the store is when the Dragon universe has an event.
Sukishoo (NA)
: People on a SkinSpotlights discussion believe it was meant to be part of Battle Academia but got removed. While he could make an interesting choice there, I don't think so. If he was indeed to be released alongside a different theme though and was more than likely just a one-off, the delay is alright, so they can make sure it is the absolute best.

Since, at the beginning of the year, he was last on the list of "Nunu, Shaco, and Zilean", I'm definitely thinking he was intended to be released after Dark Star Shaco. So probably not Battle Academia. I'm suspecting that maybe he was intended to have a Dragon universe skin with Udyr? Out of the skinlines released after Dark Star this year, that would make the most sense for Zilean. Or another Pulsefire skin with Thresh here; perhaps it wasn't good enough to come out this patch.
: Could be for a number of reasons. Maybe the internal testers didn't like it so they're working on their feedback to improve it. According to SkinSpotlights, I believe, it was supposed to come alongside one of the earlier skinlines this year (probably something after the Dark Star skins, since Zilean was listed last among the champions confirmed for a skin this year), but possibly it was delayed to avoid another Dunkmaster Ivern situation, where the concept is cool but the execution was underwhelming. Zilean fans have waited even longer so he really should get the good skin treatment. I'll wait, but then again, I'm not a Zilean main.

: Currently the only big reworks that are confirmed to be in the works are {{champion:9}} & {{champion:106}} , there are likely more in preproduction/early production, but we'll likely not hear about them until these 2 get released next year(likely in the first quarter). With that being said, there hasn't been much indication that riot has something planned for her, most of the time when they talk about top tier candidates for big updates they mention {{champion:36}} {{champion:102}} {{champion:56}} {{champion:72}} {{champion:33}} {{champion:35}} {{champion:31}} {{champion:42}} and maybe a few others that I'm missing, but not Leblanc. Don't forget {{champion:77}}; he's confirmed to be on the list of upcoming reworks sometime, though that might mean being on the next poll instead of an actually scheduled one. We probably won't get an answer until both {{champion:9}} and {{champion:106}}'s reworks come out, but since {{champion:102}} {{champion:56}} and {{champion:36}} were all on the poll and are thus guaranteed reworks, they might simply be the next three after {{champion:9}} and {{champion:106}}. They directly said that they'll definitely be doing {{champion:102}} soon, at least.
: Will LeBlanc be getting updated anytime soon?
I think she'll get a smaller-scale rework and visual/voice overhaul eventually, but Riot said that, from now on, they're putting their full priority into champions who are in the greatest need of reworks, especially in terms of their kit. LeBlanc's kit, while problematic, still functions quite well, and much better than the five champions who were on the poll this year (and thus confirmed for reworks). So I think she'll eventually get something, but we'll need to wait for champions in worse cases to get their due before her.

She's not a Yordle, but she's far far closer to Yordles than Pix. Maybe even closer to modern Yordles than Gnar, for all we know. And Yordles are also Fae like Pix. Pix is just one of the most primordial types of spirits in their part of the Spirit Realm, since he comes from the original place where Bandle City and all the surrounding area came from. I mean, yeah, it would be nice to get more actual Bandle City lore to clarify this (**coughs loudly at Riot**), but that seems to at least be the *direction* the lore is heading.

: You know, I always see people complain when a new champ is female, but with you listing both female and male champs, it shows there is a lot more male champs than female champs in total. Yuumi is the closest-related spirit to a Yordle we have; she's basically a Yordle who just took the form of a more subordinate familiar to them instead. She still has an eccentric personality that's tied to extreme versions of real Runeterran people and has definite aspects of craziness. So I'd count her as pretty close to getting another female Yordle.

They always say they hate doing model work for skins (look at Zyra) so that probably factors pretty heavily into the reason he hasn't gotten anything. Yeah, that and some unpopularity I think, but that's why Xerath baffles me. Not only does all of his kit consist of particle effects, but *easy*, *straightforward* particle effects nonetheless. But yeah, model reworking is why some champions that you wouldn't think would be avoided for skins are, like Zyra and Taliyah. It's also probably why Ivern's skin, while a funny theme, wasn't even as well done as it could be. He needs two big models to work on, Daisy and his bushes, *and* he also needs other particle effects for Daisy (this is also why Annie skins are easier to make; Tibbers doesn't need particle effects).

With all those champions, they'll probably just have particle effect abilities again, as they do now. But with Skarner, he has his whole spires to be redone on his skins, and who knows what else could be added in his rework. As he's a map-based champion at his core, including in his lore where the earth is everything to him and his species, I'm guessing he might have a lot more tough abilities to redo once he does get reworked.

: A Hyena Vastaya?
We do have a Hyena Warwick skin, but regardless, a Hyena-like vastaya would probably live in Shurima near the Kiliash. Such a vastaya could make for an interesting counterpart to Rengar, since the two are natural competitors in real life, but then again, Kha'Zix already exists as Rengar's hunting rival.
: Ongoing xerath/skarner skin issue
To be *fair*, Skarner is very high priority for a rework, and might very well be on the next poll. But Xerath, on the other hand...he's perfectly fine in every way. Even his abilities are entirely very simple and straightforward particle effects. There's no practical reason why he shouldn't have a skin.

: I feel like the logic of your first point is really flawed. You are essentially disregarding the fact that Yasuo and Akali still have tons of other good skins, so even if their last ones were disappointing that doesn't change the fact that they are getting a far better treatment than other champs when it comes to skins, which is the core complaint about these ones. Its kinda like saying that a spoiled child deserves more presents if their last ones were merely ok, while others don't get any presents at all. https://giphy.com/gifs/harry-potter-daniel-radcliffe-gif-zSIRYZ1ZkfjjO

It just means that with them, it's *better* than the alternative of champions who did get good skins recently, since Yasuo and Akali's other skins this year clearly didn't have much effort put in. But now that I see the skins, the second point is definitely the more valid and prominent one. I think it's more than likely that these champions were not chosen by Riot, a la World Champion skins.
: Blackfrost Anivia
I think it's supposed to be if either the Watchers or Lissandra corrupted Anivia, basically if Anivia were corrupted into being Dark Ice.
GreenLore (EUW)
: well the thing is that there aren't really that many black champs in the game to begin with. I think {{champion:236}} {{champion:245}} & {{champion:555}} (and Senna) are the only ones who are really coded as african-black, with {{champion:43}} being more indian, {{champion:163}} egyptian, {{champion:420}} seems to be polynesian and {{champion:246}} more aztec/mayan(no idea what {{champion:76}} is supposed to be) and thats about it. The rest of the champs are either white, asian or non-human/transformed humans. So out of the soon 146 champs in the game, ~8 would be considered people of color by you(a ratio of ~1:19), which means that this statistic by yours actually shows that Riot does not neglect people of color as a group(since with Qiyanas Prestige skin you'll have a ratio of ~1:8 among the skins, which is more than twice as good as what it'd look like if Riot treated all champs equally)

While cougars are much more known for being apex predators in the Rockies (hence the colloquial term "mountain lion"), they exist further south in the jungles as well, although they tend to be smaller (especially when competing with jaguars).
: Rivens new lore sucks
We know from Awaken that she goes back to Noxus, it's even possible that she goes back there after Confessions of a Broken Blade, a story which happened years before the present.

: ...Don't they drop with Senna? As far as I was aware they aren't hitting live until Senna does. And are only coming to PBE this upcoming cycle.

I assume that Riot wanted to try and put her and True Damage on PBE with assured quality though.
Terozu (NA)

Given that they do release next patch, ideally we'd have them up on PBE by now. But Riot did say that Senna was coming late to PBE, only coming in a couple days, so we should assume that the True Damage skins will be revealed with her.
: Hextech Heimerdinger?
I'm not sure if Hextech Heimerdinger has enough other skins to get Hextech. Heimer skins take some considerable work, what with all the models to do over, and Hextech skins need to be made for champions that have a lot of other skins anyway, which is why a lot of earlier champions like Rammus, Annie, and Amumu have gotten the Hextech skins.

But I wouldn't be surprised in the least if she's quite overtuned at release anyway.

: Exactly. But that's easily done based on builds, want to go ADC? We guess what the support aspects of her kit scale with AP and suck otherwise, want to go support? Your autos will do nothing and your AD parts of your kit suck now. Player appeal comes from design. Jhin has had his ups and down but generally he's well designed, fun. Pyke is just obnoxious. Pyke's issue is that he does a far too much while not sacrificing damage at the expense of his role, which is meant to be support. He's compensated for being in the role they gave him to make him an assassin instead of being a support. If Thresh or Blitz go full damage they sacrifice huge parts of their survivability as they can potentially go into the middle of the enemy team but that's the point, they are catchers, they get the pick and help their team get the kill. Pyke gets the pick and gets the kill, he gets caught out, he just escapes. Target is being 30% HP here's a free execute and double gold for some reason. Any other support outplays the situation by skill. A Janna, Nami, Leona will outplay an enemy by knowing their limits and abilities, getting out of a bad situation or delaying until help arrives because their there to back the team up. Not oneshot the enemy ADC (unless they are Brand. :P).

I'm hoping that, *unlike a certain other support hybridized with a traditionally damage class* {{champion:555}}, she'll be able to perform well as either a support or an adc depending on how she's built. She looks like she might even be good in mid or jungle too. I hope she will never be viable as ADC just Pyke is not viable Top/Mid anymore.

The problem with Pyke is that his viability in top, mid and jungle swings up and down like a colossal seesaw, due to him being useless as support too when he's nerfed. I'm hoping that Senna won't be the same way, since Riot did say they designed her to specifically be viable as both an adc and a support. Plus, a marksman hybridized with support/mage elements has proven to be a lot more healthy already with champions like Ashe, Varus and even Jhin; with an assassin, that combination is a lot more prone to balance nightmares.

: As long as her abilities scale properly and she isn't the main problem in lane, it's all fine. When the support becomes the carry there are issues. Ult better scale off AP and have a pretty crap ratio too if it's going to cover the lane but knowing Riot recently, it'll be an true damage execute.

: It is pretty cool that we get Senna as a champion added, just saddens me a bit because they are making her the prime support marksman and I doubt we will get another one in the near future. This theme is something that I would have enjoyed to see on a syringe gun user. Syringes are pretty cool thematically for me and I want to see them utilised for some champion, but there isn't one yet. It is the same situation like with Yuumi, many people wanted a support voidling that is a parasite latching on an ally. Now we got Yuumi with that mechanic, but without the thematic that people were asking for. ___________________ About what you said: While it looked cool with 2 guns, I am glad they went with the one big gun for her instead. It gives a more interesting dynamic to Lucian and Senna as a team. Lucian as the nimble fighter, while Senna is the background artillery supporting him.

Technically we do have another "support marksman" in the game in Ashe. I'm kind of curious to see if what goes on with Ashe in that context will happen to Senna, where she can "support" but you'd better not ever ever bring her support because you'll get flamed for even thinking of stealing CS. And anyone who brings her support usually will. Given that Senna can shield though, I have a feeling this won't be so likely. Maybe she can be a healthier example of this hybrid than Pyke. > [{quoted}](name=Jaspers,realm=EUW,application-id=6kFXY1kR,discussion-id=mrLKKHAP,comment-id=0001,timestamp=2019-10-26T15:45:20.845+0000) > On concepts, while we haven't seen her properly in game yet (I presume?) I like the hood design they went with over others, many times the concepts they drawn look so much better but here I think it fits. Very few champs on LoL with hoods. And funnily enough, one of the only other hooded League champions is also the only other "support" marksman. Kind of.
