: jesus, i havent drawn a parallel between teaching and gaming, you did it yourself, who in the world let me get some studets out of my groups, are you mad? If someone's is sucking so my obligation is to do most of things to help this dude no matter what i personally want. My point is i always do my best, do the best damage , do ganks, do everything posssible to get a win....but...my "lucky" team dont even do a half of it. And it happens often. Why? Dunno. I have no answers.
Hey. You're the one who drew the parallel with your teacher irl card. I'm the one who's saying you're full of it. As a teacher irl, I'm sure you of all people would understand patience and understanding of another individual. Yet here you are harping about how great you play and how insignificant your teammates make you to the point you desire the option to call players out about how bad they are **to you**. Way to set such a justification for yourself.
: griefing doesnt mean trolling, dude, trolling is when you provoke the team or play anivia jungle, and griefing is for example int feeding, but you dont even see the difference , dude and i am a teacher in real life every day i try to do people better but there is such a category of people who are just dumb from life and you cant do anything, and once again, i am not talking about crying at someone , i dont, i am talking about the fact- if y are bad or team ignoring you mustnt play rankeds
Oh do not pull that 'teacher' bull. Any student, no matter the age, is attending and under your academic tutelage to learn and understand for a benefit to them. Anyone who doesn't put the heart or misbehaves is potentially doomed to be stuck where they rightfully are. What you are insinuating with League is that if a random player can't work well with and for you, then their level of expertise doesn't deserve to be in your presence. Now apply that to your so called teaching: what would that make you look like if you told your _trying_ student he/she sucks at a subject and shouldn't be in your class because they're not meeting your desired level of expertise?! First of all, you'd be a terrible example of a teacher and second who would want you around if word got out? You're pretty much giving yourself a Rate My Professor review with this thread and I wouldn't want you on my team if that's how your player logic is.

Excuse me but I - who queued up and played Support - was left to either keep the item at the expense of less gold from farm **most if not all game** or drop the item, play a standard lane style at the cost of efficient warding not to mention holding back said 1v2 from running rampant. I chose to rather get my income and be relevant in our detriment over being a support. Nothing of value my ass. This is very much an issue behind support items having problems! Don't dismiss my comment because I'm one of the uncommon players that will drop a playstyle on a snap and play to what I feel needed to be done to fill the handicap.

Spot on with the GGS pickup. But I would at least acknowledge that GG has been a consistent top performer in Academy. I say he's far past due for another shot as a starter despite past beatings with less experience under the belt. I honestly thought more to Dhokla in Optic's position in the Summer. How he was middling at best in Academy, got the chance, and didn't exactly get washed on the LCS stage. That's kinda an exception though as Optic used Academy for a proper and sound purpose unlike most of the other orgs not named C9.

1. **Flamengo** is a CBLOL (Brazilian) team, not LCL (Russian). 2. CBLOL vods are **easily** found by the Lolesports BR Youtube channel. LCL vods are a tad harder but some content can also be found on Youtube. Not that hard to look up... 3. If memory serves, some regions are unable to make ASE due to the time taken for visas to process. LCL being one. 4. Unless we're just reflecting on the season, who's talking about this?!

: maybe you should actually read the op. I said take the top 2 teams from each major region and 2 from the play in round.
I stand by it. You never went over the Play In. I just have to guess that means every other region gets 1 team in some 8 team pool for 2 spots. No thanks. That'd be regressing back to the IWC events. And with that, I rest my discussion.
: Svenskeren and Zeyzal to Evil Geniuses.
I heard about murmurs of dissent in the C9 camp around Sven. Seeing him transition is something I can understand even with the lacking performance at Worlds. In no means was that all his fault though. This could also indirectly mean Apollo and Hakuho are could also potentially split up if not picked up by another team or Zeyzal to academy. Just speculation there. The off season game is still too early to make major judgments. But it's off to a good talking spot.

I can get it after 12 hours of the match. Maybe even 24. But beyond that if you haven't watched something and you _know_ you'll miss it live and want to watch it, then that falls on you to ensure that you're not spoiled by the outcome. That includes avoiding the client or other social media. Hell I used to put my hand over Youtube vods time bar to avoid seeing how long the game was! > > Nothing is made to satisfy everyone unfortunately. It's not fair but thats reality Why make it based on time? There's already an option to hide spoilers. If I opt to hide spoilers, then don't show me any spoilers. It's pretty simple. As for avoiding spoilers, I avoided all social media. I thought I was safe enough to buy someone a skin and not get spoiled, except the home page of the client already contains spoilers despite having an option for spoilers turned off. I actually do the same exact thing with putting my hand over the bar lol. Yeah, it's not fair and that's reality. It's lame that it could be so simple, but it's not. It's even lamer that when I reported this as a bug to Riot, they basically told me "Go post it on the boards and hope it goes viral and then maybe we'll do something about it."
Eventvods.com has never failed me...unless i misclicked. If Riot incorporated their website like this EV, it'd save a ton of headaches. Client should also be an easy fix...but the client is always controversial so.....I'm speaking out my ass there.

Just watched it. **IT'S NOT THE WORST THING I'VE EVER SEEN ANYMORE** The old version is now glorious meme nightmare fuel.
: I mean that narrative about him is kind of false. Nautilus is really the only offmeta solo lane champ he plays regularly he barely ever plays Kled or Poppy mid anymore.
But he's shown that he can be viable on the picks which is the point I was making. The narrative spoke of recency over longevity and that varies among players.
: Thinking about it now, {{champion:78}} W would have gotten so much value vs literally all 3 FPX comps in the finals.

All tournament yo. She was absolutely a viable pick. Put us in as strategic coaches or something
Galiö (NA)
: I feel like certain picks were slept on these worlds.
I was talking about that with a few folks after the finals. Basically Poppy was the most talked about, especially in the amount of engage comps that conspired in several games. That and I know I'm a fan of competitive Poppy cause I really feel like the W buffs really upped her value
prozak82 (NA)
: uhh yeah I can be satisfied. 10 teams and everybody plays everybody else. the crap teams DO have a shot to prove themselves - that is what the play in round is for. theres no reason to have more than 2 of them because it drags down the quality of the whole tournament
You never went over anything of the Play In though. And given that you're already down on teams of regions of lesser prestige, I doubt you'll give anything beneficial of it other than "1 team from every region" or something.
: FPX and the luck of the draw
They may have what was considered the dream draw, but in no way was the run sweep of the hands easy until the end. Going down the line: 1. Their group stage definitely had their games of caution. They were convincing, not dominant. 2. Even I'll agree that Fnatic had the worst performance of the 5th-8th bunch. But that just comes with taking on the opposition ahead of you. In fact, should Splyce had won that tiebreaker and the draw was the same, that'd be FPX vs SKT and SPY vs FNC. But that's more hypothetical. 3. The H/H on the season between FPX and IG was 1-1 before their semis encounter with both previous series going the full 3 games. And they never met in a playoff picture following upset losses from JDG and LNG. "Handily owned" is hardly the term to use here, especially given recency that IG was the only loss FPX suffered in the summer. 4. Regardless of outcome, a tournament favorite still won in the end. 5. There shouldn't be an asterisk on the World championship that has to indicate you have to beat a Korean team to be considered such. That and if the Korean teams were as deserving of the challenge, they'd have made it further...or Splyce would have won the tiebreaker and the draw was the same. More hypothetical though
17171 (EUW)
: Lets sum up the final and get a look at why it seemed rigged.
I know it's a western dominant board but thread after thread of this rigged conspiracy is getting disrespectful to FPX and the matter that they played the better game on the day. This isn't rigged. It's flat out "What G2 did wrong." Keep in mind that these were 2 of the 3 highly talked about teams to win the whole thing even before the draw shows. We can all have some fun about the coincidentially named song but let's not act like FPX should have had no chance in hell if G2 played to their highest prestige.
: Characters who can't Jungle Anymore ?
Nautilus' jungle clear is quite abysmal. But even with that, surpassing the lv 1-3 period and getting a significant gank can tip the scales. I personally stopped jungling with Nautilus. But if I picked it up again I'd likely wish for a buff to E or attack speed.

Yes, G2 could play around Wunder also. He proved to be very good at recovering after a terrible early but the rest of the team was not in the conditions to follow him, both in terms of pick and strategy. In addition, the G2 were never grouped despite FPX that actually were
Your only other points you make of it though were drafting and execution. The OC hit the point of counter drafting flaws as well as their execution afterwards. They played to match FPX to every phase of the game. Mid/Top Pyke always played to 6 and utilized the execute to inflate the gold. Can't do that if you can't secure executes. Sure Varus got kills but when you're playing with Pyke, that's not good. There were too many ults that got KS, flashed out of or whiffed and the pick fell flat as a result. Ez vs Kaisa or Ez vs Vayne. That right there is a shoulda coulda story. G2 was supposed to let the bot side fend for itself and as the OC said: Wunder was the win condition that never got off the ground.
Mianta (NA)
: What happens during off-season?
For the most part, we have entered the post season game many call the League of Roster Swaps. As you said, things get a bit topsy turvy until the new competitive season begins in mid January. League competition isn't at a total halt however. For NA specifically, there's the Scouting Grounds event where players from the ranked ladder and amateur circuits compete for visibility to be drafted into a NA team (be it main squad or academy). Korea hosts their regional Kespa Cup featuring teams from the LCK, Challengers Korea, and the KeG Amateur league (usually its champion). It's a pretty straightforward tournament which has tended to deliver some surprising results that skew expectations by the Spring Split. Of course there's always the All Star event coming up in December. Once that concludes, they usually reveal the start of the competitive season at the end of the last broadcast for every region.

No. I feel bad for you. I feel bad for this small crowd that wants to be vocal about how they're tired of a game so much that they'd rather play it like a Practice Tool with benefits. And yeah, in my eyes URF I feel did put together some groundwork of the Practice Tool that came later. That's my point in using the sandbox term. Not to receive a history lesson on things I already knew. But aside that... I don't see any other company that stoops to that level as a result of that small portion of their playerbase crying to no end about when the next time it comes just to play it and leave in a fit when it wasn't enough of their fix. The community has literally taken an April Fools gag and treated it so seriously that they have to make threads like these split down the rational to irrational line of opinion like fucking American politics. Like seriously what the hell?! You can't seriously tell me you'd make a game one way, create a super broken way to play said game 4 years later, then have that integrate to the game full time without thinking of the effects it would have long term. Now if you were that fickle; if you were that willing to appease what little of that base wanted to not play your game as intended, then I look down at you. You just sell out the foundation of your game for the sake of having a couple hundred to thousands of players that won't ever truly be satisfied. That said, I'm sick of wording this in multiple comments. If people want to keep griping, that's on them.
prozak82 (NA)
: I did - 1 group of 10. I already said its pointless to have all these crap teams at worlds. if its 2 groups of 8 you still only play half the teams
Clearly you can't be satisfied. Just because there are teams that are expected to not make a big splash doesn't mean they don't deserve the right of having the chance to do so. Those "crap teams" bust their asses like the teams from regions above them to get the same opportunities. And you want change because they're not good enough? In that case why not just propose the college football approach. Doesn't matter how good you perform in a league. If there's teams better than you based on a stupid panel, they get the right to play at the highest prestige. Everyone else can play for their domestic table scraps and cry themselves to sleep that they can't be recognized. Put it that way and you just sound like an ass with no respect to the expanding League.
prozak82 (NA)
: no its not enough cus I wanna see teams play more than 25% of the other teams at worlds
Then just recommend larger groups in that case. Rather than 4 groups of 4, do 2 groups of 8 for a Worlds Group Stage if it's 25% we're looking for
GripaAviara (EUNE)
: They can make: 3 games a break for tactical and rest 3 more games a break for tactical and rest Last game It's clear something is wrong with this format. A lot of teams underperform in the finals and makes the whole worlds a joke to follow. You'd expect top games but last years where just the most boring ones. I think a break to reconsider strategy might at least spawn a good game
You're just finding excuses for the teams that failed to show up on the day of the final and how they got blown out by their opponent as a result. I stand by what I said. Even after your proposed break if FPX won game 4, then what?
GripaAviara (EUNE)

Then we'd get a 4-0 for FPX and what would that resolve? Sweep would still be a sweep.
