: Suggestions to reduce RNG
I agree with every single word you've said. This RNG keeps me from playing this game mode. I've had so many games where I hyper rolled in the late game to get a single copy of a Champion that no one bought even once. I didn't get it and lost in a close fight for number one position. After I had too many games like this I just quit. I also tried to stockpile gold and roll later or buy every champ there is and try to make something off of it. Still, whether I win or lose depends on luck purely.

: When you sell they go back to the shared pool. So if you buy an Ashe and sell it there are still the same number of Ashes as there were before you buy her. What he is getting at is that when you draw a card it has an X% chance of being a 4 cost unit. Then it picks what champion it is based on the total cards left, so for each Ashe you own the chances of getting a non-Ashe champion goes up. So you can buy a Brand, twitch, yorick, etc to reduce their chances of showing up (conversely increasing your chances of seeing an Ashe on your next reroll). Basically you have a big pool. Anything you remove is out until you put it back. So you can use this to your advantage, though I rarely take the time to do this because my ping is bad, and I don't want to do the mental math for how much I need to hold on to (or in other words how many times I can roll before and after selling unwanted units) for what small benefit this brings. Something to keep in mind if you do choose to do this, is that you should never buy three of a unit you want as when you sell back a two star champion (other than one cost units) you do not get a full refund for the gold.
I've played another game just now, and I won't play this unbalanced game mode anymore. I've made countless rerolls spending every gold I had to get ONE single Leblanc. No one beside me used her, let alone had her at t3. Several opponents including me used Braum as their champ. I almost made him T3. and another dude had 3 T2 Braums in his team. I got 3-rd place in this game but I could've won as usual. I've exhausted my resources to get 1 copy of Leblanc, I was committed. Because of that I didn't even get level 8. I've tried to temporarily buy champs with same cost to increase my chance of getting Lesb, but to no avail. I guess people forgot how to create games that are not based on disgusting randomness. Thank you for your time bro.

I can't recreate it.
: You forgot the 4th option, that i currently use: USE THE LEAGUE LAUNCHER & CLIENT (NOT RIOT LAUNCHER) I like this one becuase the game doesn't crash anymore, i mean: i have about 7 games i left on different accounts bcs i would get crashes from the riot launcher :) YW bois

Thank you, now it's clear as day. I guess the most important part is to observe what your opponents are going for and weigh your own chances on getting desired champions. I wish they made this mode less random.

: Making an Account on an Email Already Attatched to a Level 30+ Account Automatically Levels to 30
Riot will never implement something that would improve the system. Even quality of life changes is prohibited. For those who don't agree with this statement, look at these buggy launchers we've been stuck for 10 years.
: Along with other things mentioned, it can also be worth holding champions of the same tier while you hyper roll. Say you wanted a yorick, you would pick up any brand, twitch, ashe. Etc. Temporarily until you needed space or gold to reroll.
What if I buy Ashe for example and sell her immediately, will this same Ashe reappear in the shop? If there are say 10 Lux's available, would buying all of them and selling make it impossible for anyone to get her? Starving the market may be a viable strategy this way. What is the benefit of buying champ of the same tier If you don't need them?
: You need to look at who else is building the same champions. Champions come from a shared pool, and if someone else is Tier 3-ing the same champion (especially cost 3+ champions) your odds decrease exponentially and are, in some cases, impossible. The pool sizes are as follows: ~~* 39 of each Tier 1 champion. * 26 of each Tier 2 champion. * 21 of each Tier 3 champion. * 13 of each Tier 4 champions. * 10 of each Tier 5 champions.~~ Forgot the 10/22 update: * Tier 1: 39 ⇒ 29 * Tier 2: 26 ⇒ 22 * Tier 3: 18 ⇒ 16 * Tier 4: 13 ⇒ 12 * Tier 5: 10 There are 9 champions needed to get a 3-star, and 3 needed to get a 2-star.
Oh my lord. I had no idea. I've lost another game just now, being unable to t3 any of my champs in lategame. I got 3rd place but could've won easily if my brand was t3. I guess now I will look at what other people are going for and pick something else.

: rather have someone leave the game than i would have them feed 6 kills and then just run around in the bace for 10-15 minutes to avoid leaver buster but at the same time they just say no to every surrender so you are forced to either win a 4v5 with fed enemies, or just lay down and die.. at least if that person leaves there is a chance you can early surrender, or have a closer 4v5 than if they run down mid every respawn

Troll are trolls, giving them 3 min to reconnect doesn't change anything. If someone wants to circle in base to avoid the leave-buster, he will do exactly that. What I suggest here is to give players that genuinely care about their team to have a chance to get a win. If that player performs poorly, his team can vote him down and he will get his loss anyway. In case the player carries his team he would get the victory he deserves.
: > If player came back and they've pulled a clutch victory, why would you punish this one player? Because nobody truly knows the reason why they left in the first place. > the voting solution I've presented here completely fixes everything. LOL no. No. You never, ever EVER give players control over what happens to other players. Any time there are player-made decisions, especially when it's a vote, it becomes something that can be abused.

I had no doubt in my mind that you are going to disagree with me =) Abuse or not, the player who left will get a loss anyway. At least my way he has a chance to get a win.

: Loading is never slow for me. Like 1 minute max when reconnecting. And my laptop isn't even very new and I don't have an SSD
Well, I guess I just got unlucky. The game doesn't act like this all the time. I think because I had to close the game and re-launch, it took so long. I was pissed because this was a crucial moment, my first Gold promos. I've been on a 14 game win streak.
: i went to play some arams after not playing for 3-4 months and the amount of problems in the client is amazing. got a game, was unable to change runes because the "accept" button was stuck there. waiting for loading and turns out it just stopped loading so i loaded in 3 mins into the game. its a joke really.

I've started playing many years ago and the launcher has always been shit. Both new one and old one. On top of that, after last couple of patches I get obscene fps drops, unplayable territory.
: So you didnt connect to a game, got picked up for afk/dc , and riot is being unreasonable? Makes perfect sense
In case you forgot to read the post, I complained that the damn loading screen took so long that I was kicked out basically. They give you, I believe, 3 minutes to reconnect. That is way too low. If it was at least 5 min, I would've made it. It is their fault that launcher lags like hell, and it takes more time to return to the game than to start it. I did connect to the game and we won it easily. I was out for around 5 min. It's just the game counted as a loss. What kind of logic is this. What, I would intentionally go AFK in my Gold promotion game? Get tilted and rage quit? I don't get why they give you 3 min. You play your best for 20 min, set your team ahead, carry like crazy, only to disconnect for 3 min and get nothing, No wait, it's worse than nothing, you get a loss. System has to be a bit more complicated. I don't think leavers are that big of a problem. I've played 1000 games this season and barely encountered any. For real, more often people go afk because they have connection issue server side. So the question — why do they give you only 3 min to reconnect? If they made it 6 minutes, what would happen? BTW, I did get a promotion after all, clutch, but still pulled it. Got carried last couple of games.

The changes I suggest take more than kda into it and no one will steal kills because in kda a kill or assist doesn’t matter. Again if you go 1-12-4 you clearly do not deserve the same reward and punishment as the teammates who went 12-1-19 just a fact, you can tie in over all kill participation cs wards placed etc... until then the system will continue to result in the cesspool it has been for 9 seasons but go ahead pretend otherwise.
I'm not defending this fucking system bro. I guess your suggestion is indeed quite good.

: Huge FPS drops in game, in both SR and TFT, since patch 9.22 came out.
Same here. For me it was patch 9.20 or 21. I get remarkable fps drops. Slide show territory. I tried everything I could. Nothing helps. The game runs 60 fps no dips easy.
: I reported a person for inting in 1 game, cause he/she was next game I que up, Same person I mean at least this time they didn't int but still I can't say I wasn't insecure the whole game
I think that the word "int" means to "feed intentionally". Intentionally is the key word. You can't report someone just because he went 0/30. If he tried his best and was helping his team, all is good.
: I play alot, 3 accounts this is the least played (only use it with low elo friends) almost never see afk, almost never see actual inting they are literally a non existent problem. The real problem is a busted elo system easily exploited to boost people and that does a crap job at gettin g people to the correct elo because the entire team gets the same reward and finally smurfing. example joe blow silver gets lucky gets a few smurfs on his teams and over all better teams just cause luck, or has a friend who is diamond who boosted him. During those games the enemy team gets stomped real silver laner in top goes vs diamond top smurf gets crapped on you flame him because he "inted" (really didnt int just died alot because of yet another stupid lame ass on his "smurf". Now joe blow is gold 1 but really is a silver 2 caliber player and proceeds to get stomped in mid lane by real gold 1 players and more smurfs his teammates flame him claiming he "inting" but really he is simply being stomped on by smurfs and has no busi8ness being in gold because he is boosted. Its a revolving door that never ends and is the real problem. The best solution is to weight your individual performance in wins and losses to adjust them, so now you cant get boosted by your diamond friend who reks the game 20-1-12 every game boosting you while you sit on support going 1/7/14. Has NEVER EVER EVER made sense to have a individual ranking system that the gains and losses are based off your teams performance not your own performance. Until they fix that the game will be a cesspool end of story and please save all the terrible illogical arguments about how your 0/12/4 support deserves the same elo gain as your 20-1-17 top laner when your team wins because there is no sensible basis to justify it, its just more lame "i like to get boosted" noise to keep a broken system in place that ruins the game.
The system needs fixing but your solution will create a very bad environment. Players will do whatever they can to preserve good KDA. They will steal kills from their main carry, not help teammates when the kill is not 100% guaranteed, and so on. Already people are too occupied with their KDA that they don't understand that victory is the main goal of the game. I've played around 1000 matches in silver and I am hard-stuck. Almost got to gold, but dropped. I take silver 1 promos at least couple of times every single day. Once I climbed and dropped from silver 2 six times in one sitting. I get 15 games win-streaks and 20 games lose-streaks. It's a fucking coin flip. I agree with you, afk and inting is a non-existent issue, very rare to occur. Most of the time someone goes afk because riot servers suck. Unfortunately win lane win game doesn't really work. If your team refuses to listen, if they know better, if they don't like when someone tells them what to do, most definitely you are going to lose. I hate to play against duo's. It is not fair, they have too much of an advantage. Especially given that you can get a couple of duo's in your team or against you. People are very toxic in game chat. Once every 10 games or so I get positive teammates who joke, never flame, have nice attitude. No wonder, given how many toxic streamers and youtubers there are. I don't understand this LP system. I get 15-19 fro victory, and lose the same amount. Sometimes I get 16 for win and lose 19 for loss. I've seen videos where people get 25 for a win. What gives...

: I thought I was the only one with the random ass alt tabbing when I used my active item binded to my mouse. I lost my last gold 2 promo game because of shit like this in a crucial baron fight. I also lost promos cause of the client crashing in champ select and not letting me reconnect when the game started. This game is a mess right now and for how simple it is and how much of a massive company Rito has become it's unacceptable. Maybe putting more energy into solving issues instead of making the next lux louis vuitton cringy skin would be a good idea. in b4 2 new yasuo gucci/prada ultimate skins.
I lost many games and also promos because I get obscene fps drops last couple of patches. I have steady 60 fps no dips, but every 10 sec or so I get a slide show for another 10 sec. Client itself has been a pile of shit for as long as I can remember (I started playing season 2). I auto dodged my promo game because the client just didn't let me pick champ. I resorted to that option "close the client during the game" to at least get some of the RAM back.
: I was in your same position last year. There were a lot of popular misconceptions I came across. **The honors you get do not matter.** Do not focus on that because they factor little into your progression, and honors from premades mean even less. Asking for honors will not help you. What matters far more is honors you give, so honor every single game. If everyone honors, then you all gain more progress. Who you honor or who gets honored is not what they focus on. You also need to be using the chat, so do not mute all because it will make it so much longer to get to honor level 2. Obviously, it should go without saying that getting reported frequently is going to halt your progress, but they don't tell you when your progress is has halted. If you've been toxic recently, but just haven't gotten a notification, it doesn't mean that it's not effecting your progress. Finally, dropping to level 0 after August means that you're likely not going to get to level 2 in time for end of season rewards. There's no set requirement for honor unlock that we're aware of, but it usually takes people around 150-200 games if they're reformed and showing that through chat and honoring.
Thank you man, that eases my pain quite a bit=) I type way too much in chat I guess, so maybe they mute me instead=)
: As someone who had a ban who dropped to honor 0 and climbed backup to honor 4 i know quite a bit about this. 1) Ill start off by saying literally no one knows EXACTLY riots formula for honor increasing bc if they told us people would exploit it, so anyone who says they do is lying. That being said as far as we know, 2)Honors do help you move up quicker 3) getting honored from your premade teammates however means very little, especailly if they always honor you. 4) This is the main one, if your getting reported in games, even if your getting honored, those reports are setting back your honor progression. And yes even if the report isnt justified the system makes note that your getting reported. Ive seen multiple people play climb through honor levels after a ban much quicker then the rate your goin, and mine was the same. I played for 6 months to get from honor 0 to honor 3! And i played quite a bit. The reason it took me 5 times as long as it should is because i type alot in game, plain and simple. I stopped being toxic but instead would give players advice. The problem was that they would report me out of frustration bc theyre tilted and dont want to hear advice. Once i stopped typing litreally anything but positive stuff like "no worries we got this team!" thats when my honor moved at a much faster rate. So the TLDR: If you want your honor back quicker, Dont type at all or only positive things. Try not to feed to hard so teammates dont give you a dumb invalid report. And you honor level should go up 1 checkpoint about every week at the rate you play. Cant help you with the other stuff, and i cant be bothered to go back and grammatically clean this up xP , hope this helped and goodluck to ya! {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}}
Thanks bro, I will take notice. I do actually type a lost in chat. Not that I give much advice or anything, but I rather try to lead the game and crack jokes here and there. I never mute anyone and try to keep it cool amongst teammates. I think people do report you for no apparent reason, we just don't get any notifications for that. I was wondering because I get lots of honors almost every game so I got desperate to see that the progress didn't budge=) Good luck to you too.

Ty) A lot of games end in 20 min anyway.
: Yeah. If he wastes Q and misses, you can get some damage in with W. Don't *over*-commit, just hit him with as much as you safely can while his Q is on cooldown, and if you miscalculate, just go the rest of the distance to flip him away from your minion wave and get back behind your minions again. If he hits the Q, keep your distance. In general, let him attempt to engage. Let him *fail* then punish him for it. In Tahm's current state, Urgot is probably the only bruiser who can keep up with him (note, I consider Fiora and Jax as more of a fighter class than a bruiser class) just because of that execute and your safer range. They need to shift power from his W to his E...but "that's too much defense" for a *tank* and removing a bit of the *assloads* of damage he deals *as a tank* is more unhealthy than allowing him to *half-shot other tanks*, I guess.
I had 2 kills on him including First Blood recently, but he out-scaled me later on. His Q has 900 range and strong slow. He spams it non stop. That is what makes him a menace. I think Darius can make a quick work of him. True damage bypasses his shield I think. If enemy jungler helps him get ahead, he inputs more into the game than I do, if I get ahead. A good tank with lots of utility is better for the team than a bruiser with high damage output. (not that Tahm has low damage though)

Well I fought another tahm and destroyed him in top lane again. You also don't know vi very well. She may be off meta but she is far from weak. In the game start with e use that for poke genrally tahm needs topop his potions level 1 or 2. I get q second and pretty much if he tries to cs he gets the q ee combo even with out our w it near kills him and either forces him out of lane or he stands there til he slowly dies. once you get her passive w tahm is done Vi also has a passive shield so his first and/or second attack does nothing to you while he has to get stunned. vi is basically designed to kill tanks like tahm. She is very much a bruiser. If you are so worried about damage he does she can also build tank. No offense but you might just be mad that he stops your main. You should not try to focus on which champions are "op" and actually try to improve. There is sevral things you can do against tahm. Hell I even 1v1ed tahm as shyvana I had 2 drakes but still.
I see. You're right, I don't know nothing about Vi. I will buy her then =) Recently I actually killed Tahm 2 times with Urgot including first blood. He somehow out-scaled me later. He just builds full tank and I can't kill him. I guess I have to look at other champions. In team-fights he body blocks my ultimate and simply focuses me so I couldn't come close to squishy to flip/stun them. Shyvana has a very strong kit. It is hard to duel her even for Tahm. But I suck with her(
: Keep minions between you and him, use your e to run away / disengage if he manages to slow you (faster than walking while slowed, you can also use it when you think hes gonna q you so your shield blocks it aswell) Disengage if he has 2 or more stacks on you or when he uses his E. You beat tahm kench with very short trades, especially as urgot due to your shotgun knees. He really cant do much damage to you without landing his q, his W is pretty crap by itself but he can use it to reposition you away from your minions and q you immediately after. In groupfights, don't e him and flip him into your team because then you might bait your team into focusing him, just slow him and stay back/help your team by peeling, if you can find an opening to the enemy backline you can do a lot more damage to his team faster than he can do damage to yours, but if he peels you are screwed unless you manage to kill a carry anyway.
Thank you. I don’t really die to him. I just can’t do anything. I feel useless. Usually if my team loses, I can turn it around by helping them or snowballing my lane. In the case of Tahm, I am so outmatched that I don’t know what to do. Ganks are of no use, he can escape or kill us. Roaming is hard, he either follows with ultimate or tp, or pushes towers. Outmatched. Of course it comes down to how skilled both teams are. But I think that Tahm has more advantage than any other character. High damage, high durability, good cc and disgusting utility. All in one.

: I keep seeing people say they have issues with tahm but I have never had any issues with him. It could be my vhamp choice but that is for a lot of champions. Im usually playing vi against him and use my e to poke him by the time im level 3 if he goes to cs I q aa ee him and near half his health his gone and he can't farm around me or he dies.
Hmm, I guess you are lucky to face inexperienced Tahm. He should never allow you to harass himself. I don’t see how Vi can stand any chance. Also, he can kill you at half health no problem.
: I think all those super tanks are the problem Moaki urgot tahm Illoi, just sit lane spaming skills out scaling anybody that doesn’t stomp those brain dead picks under tower. 10/10 game play
Urgot is not a tank, he is a bruiser. I used to go tanky, but I do much better going full ad. His shield becomes very strong. With Spear of Shojin you can spam your shield and 1v3 easily. Apart from Tahm, I can easily deal with any super tank champion. He actually has more damage and tankines out of all.
: The trick to Kench is in never allowing him to stack up, and to make him blow his E as a shield. If you can make him shield himself, it's about as effective as taking his flash. Though it has a short cooldown, he's not going to regen all his hp back, so he can't really commit from there. He has to either go back, or play super passive until he can heal a bit. As Urgod, you just need to focus on staying in shotgun-knee range without being too far open to a Q. Don't be afraid to grab him, but don't grab him unless you need to. If anything, W your way around him before the grab and save your E to flip him back to his side of the map, so you can get back to safety, or just use it as a disengage if he's got the priority. Once you hit 6, if he's ever low enough to execute, he'll more than likely just blow his E as a shield. That's fine. Do it anyway. even if he shields so you can't pull, that's again almost as effective as taking his flash - he's not going to be able to rejoin the fight until long after his team is dead.
Ty for your advice. I harass him as much as I can, but I can never engage him. He will stack his passive and eat me very fast, I can’t use my W, it will just slow me. He outputs way more damage than me at early levels. His shield doesn’t save him from my ultimate, but it is nigh impossible to lower his hp so much. Even with ignite and a very good engage, I end up flashing away. He is way too tanky. My only option is to wait for late game, but if my team is losing badly I can’t turn it around. He has ultimate and utility.

: 1. Get adaptive helm; You reduce his passive damage by 20% which applies to his auto attacks and Q. 2. Try to fight him in your minion wave: If you are Urgot you can throw him into your minion wave and he can’t Q you because your minions are in the way. 3. Poke him first before fighting him: Yes he can heal with his E but you reduce his opportunity to counteract your burst with a big shield. 4. Throw him into your turret: Since he wins a head on fight, let him push to turret and throw him into it. 5. Don’t ask your jungler to gank him: Like it or not, he is like other juggernauts who can turn around fights and 1v2. Tell them to gank other lanes to get other lanes to snowball. 6. DO NOT LET HIM GET 3 STACKS ON YOU: Yes I know this is obvious since he can eat you but the other conquenses are that he maximizes his passive damage against you and his Q can stun. His damage skyrockets as soon as he gets 3 stacks.
Ty for your help. Unfortunately apart from throwing him under the tower I can’t really do anything. He zones me out and if I try to fight him under my minions, he just kills me or I waste flash. He can out-duel me even at low hp. Also, if he runs at me through minions all I can do is run away and even then, he can reach me with his long range Q. If he gets a single auto in you, he will follow it up with his Q and he is going to eat you anyway. Adaptive helm will help a bit, but I sacrifice my own damage for it and I have other 4 enemies to deal with later. I usually rely on kills to Cary the game, but given that I can’t kill him and I can’t perform good on the front line because of him, I get outmatched. Full engage with ignite on level 2 under my minions and good E W combo simply made me use flash to avoid death. He is very tanky. Later on, nothing changes.

: Chat restriction for literally just common competitive talk between opposing teams.
> YerAWizardCarry: i think the game is broken > YerAWizardCarry: the screen isnt sliding over to your blown up nexus yet Nice one =) My man, don't stress it. Riot has a very unfair policy regarding "toxicity". Also, algorithm can't really detect the context. "Excessive use of chat" is banable. That's what riot employee said in a support ticket. So beware. Please avoid getting reported. You can write anything you want as long as no one reports you. Read other players intentions and if they want to report you, convince them otherwise. Say sorry, it helps even if you didn't do anything wrong. Good luck my friend. After 2 chat restrictions they ban for 14 days. Don't get reported!

: The Importance of Morale; How Your Flaming Isn't Constructive Criticism
Thank you very much for this post. I appreciate the time it took you to write it. I hope moderators will make it a sticky post. You've covered everything and didn't lie once. Very sad, but the game is in a bad state right now. People are expecting their team to flame them for a mistake. Many players are tilted even before the game starts because they had bad experience in past games. It's a circle that players are stuck in. You're right. Most of the people are not assholes inherently, but anyone can be put in that state. I hope thing will change. Best games I had were the ones where we played as a team. Where we had conversations and cracked jokes. When we lost, the mood was still great. I wish you all the best and thank you once again.
: I got two week banned for this
Wait it out brother. It is not fair, I know. But riot has a very strict and hypocritical and disgusting policy regarding "toxicity". People get banned/restricted for far less. I see you care about winning, alas, some people just log -in to mess around and ruin couple of games. That's a part of the game. Never waste your mental health on a game, it only hurts you. At the end of the day, no one cares but you, sad fact. Even if you have the worst team ever, trolls and flamers, feeders and bad players, keep your mind calm. Either don't type anything/mute all, or be gentle even if they insult you. That will only benefit your health and maybe even help you to win. People in general will react In a good way if you are being polite to them and ignore insults. If you can train yourself in this game, nothing will be able to tilt you in real life =) As Master Yi once said "Even the edge of the sharpest sword is no match for the calm of the peaceful mind"
: Just laned against the new aatrox for the first time, and I have never been more tilted in my life
Your best option is to counter pick him with a strong champ like Darius. Tahm Kench is broken himself, so you can use that. Even if you have a weak champ, just wait it out. Don't farm. wait until minions get under your tower. It is better to lose most of the minions but stay alive than die and snowball him. Get you level 6 and weigh your chances. If he managed to engage you first, run! If you can engage him with a good position, go for it. Also, wait patiently for your jungler to gank. If shit goes sideways and all your lanes lose, leave top lane and roam, gather your team up and walk as 5 man. Best strategy it is. You will be able to pick couple of kills in a teamfight. If AAtrox follows you and joins his team, well, now it is a matter of lucky catches and outplay 5v5. You can win the game if you gather up even if you lost all of the lanes badly. You just need to initiate good teamfights or catch enemies one by one. In low elo (up to plat 1) this strategy works really well. Don't forget the Rift Herald, he can set you ahead or even win you the game if placed right. Good luck.

: Current minion block is horrible
Minion block is the one thing I truly hate about this game. I've been killed because of it, missed canon minions, and even lost games. Dota always had it, but for some reason it feels natural there.
: TK top needs to be hotfixed
Thank you, I didn't think there are people who think the same. I can only beat him with my man Urgot, but people who play Tahm just ban him(( Kench has a lot of damage and cc, and also he is very tanky. Even if you picked a ranged champ, he can slow you with his Q. It has insane range and a very potent slow.

: Just a quick thought for anyone that thinks Qiyana is the dullest champion to date. Kai'sa exists.
: It is just me or does Riot prefer we watch rather than play the game ?
I never watch those missions even though they reward you with Blue Essence. Unfortunately, it is one of the very few ways of getting that currency.
: "I Was Unfairly Banned"
There are people who were banned unfairly. Also, Riot has a very broad definition of toxicity. "Excessive use of chat" is considered toxic
: What is this new surrender vote box?
Especially annoying when there is a team fight and your tilted team mate dies, so he immediately starts the vote which distracts you from ongoing team fight. Riot Gives toxic players more tools.
: Misleading in-game tips regarding toxicity
They also have the tip that reads "If someone makes you uncomfortable in game, report them". I love to trash talk, but you can't do it in league(. What does excessive use of chat mean>? Riot really should change the system
: Best of luck my friend. In 10 years or so, you will understand better.
I wasn't implying that brother. I allowed myself to be a bit rude and assume your age. Growing older, people become more empathic towards others. World ain't black and white and people are not either good or evil. There are always things in-between.
: Then he should BE A DECENT PERSON ONLINE. Is that so hard? I'll be blunt: If going online turns you from a decent person to an enormous ass... then you're not ACTUALLY a decent person, you're just pretending out of fear of what ACTUALLY being yourself will cause. You show your truest colours when you think there are no consequences for your actions.
: It depends on the argument. If I have a disagreement with my wife and we argue for a few minutes, but no insults are thrown, no shouting, etc.... then you're right. We won't get kicked out of anywhere. But we also wouldn't get banned from LoL for that. The problem is that people in LoL seem to think you can't argue in-game without shouting, insults, obscenities, or racism. And all of those things CAN get you kicked out of places. It's all about civility. It is 100% possible to argue and remain civil - encouraged even. But if you can't remain civil, then you shouldn't play a team game. You don't DESERVE to have teammates if you can't treat them with at least basic civility. That all being said, I have absolutely lost because of people arguing. Because people who argue are distracting themselves from the game. And while arguing, they get ganked, and can't react fast enough because they're too busy typing at each other. Winning one game through misery of dealing with jerks is not worth it - my time is worth more than that. I don't have enough free time to cater to bullies who never learned how to interact with people. If you can't treat people civilly, I do not want you in the game. And neither does Riot. So just leave.
Alright, we have different views. It's ok. World is not black an white. Take a look at our judgment system in place and think why can't riot take a lesson from it. Punishment has to fit the crime, sweeping everything with the same broom is a bad approach both in games and in real life. My position is — don't ban players for chat related misdemeanors. Racism and hate not included of course. Remember, we are all people, if you meet that flaming guy at the bar desk and have a conversation, you would probably find him to be a decent person.
