I still want Chrome to accept my media keys to be able to pause videos or stuff. So the only thing that works for me right now is to press alt + the media key I want to use. I really hope for a solution on riots behalf though, workarounds should never be needed to solve problems that are not caused by consumers.

Riot is "still aware" of the bug, still "has a fix" but "isn't sure when it will be pushed out" (I sent a follow-up ticket a while ago.... lol)

Same as last season. Even after your placements are over, on a fresh account you will be getting -5 LP on a loss and +30 on a win. You need to grind out 50-100 games for your rank to catch up to your MMR. Riot gives you a rank that is lower than your MMR to force you to grind out more games. They want you to have to play more so you will spend more money.

There are these DefaultApps on windows, you know when you open Microsoft Edge it wants you to set it to default. You need to get Spotify as your Default Music app on Windows. Just search for Default App on windows or whatever it is called and set Spotify as ur Default App. I couldnt do it, bec windows did not show me Spotify. There is another way for that, rightclick a mp3 and press on open with and then select Spotify, even there windows didnt show me Spotify ass App. If the app is not shown windows lets you to select the exe by yourself so do that, first you need to find the location. It is ProgrammFiles/WindowsApp, the Folder is hidden by windown. Just use the option to see hidden folders. Then you might not have acces to that folder. You can get the permission if ya follow this tutorial https://www.maketecheasier.com/access-windowsapps-folder-windows-10/ The second method worked for me, then locate down to the Folder named "SpotifyAB.SpotifyMusic_1.122.633.bla bla bla and then select the Spotify exe I guess. After that all mp3s turned from the white mp3 logo to the spotify Logo, so I assume it worked. I dont have the Problem, i will let my Friend test it too. My point was: I might have 1 masterwork-able item in my inventory, **_but that might not be the one I want._** So if Ornn walks over and upgrades me before I complete my 2nd item, he ruins my build.

: Why were these two autofilled to each others roles?
From what I understand (and I could be wrong), the system "finds" players one at a time. So you're "in queue" waiting for the match to pop, and your team might look like this at the moment (although this information is hidden from you): Summoner 1: Jungle Summoner 2: Mid Summoner 3: ADC The queue takes longer and it is having trouble finding a top and support. It goes into autofill mode, and tries to fill support first because it is least popular: Summoner 1: Jungle Summoner 2: Mid Summoner 3: ADC Summoner 4: selected top/mid, assigned support It now still needs to find a top lane. Someone with support selected enters the queue (and was not available when it found summoner 4). So it grabs them and autofills them top. Summoner 1: Jungle Summoner 2: Mid Summoner 3: ADC Summoner 4: selected top/mid, assigned support Summoner 5: selected support/adc, assigned top It does not re-evaluate roles after a full team is assembled. Summoner 1, 2, and 3 were locked into jungle, mid, and ADC the moment the queue found them. This is how I **_THINK_** it works. Which is awful. But it explains why it happens. And I could be wrong. And yes, I think it should be fixed. It's lazy programming, even if I'm right.

: Found a solution for Chrome users, it might also work in similar ways for other Browsers go to "chrome://flags/" find the option "Hardware Media Key Handling" and disable it. Restart the Browser or close it. And it should work now. If you dont have Chrome try to see if you have a chromium based Browser, the LOL Client is Chromium based. I hope I could help some people.

Brilliant strategy, based entirely on the enemy tilting and not just playing safe until their botlane ends the game, boring a conclusion as that is.

: I believe you. I also agree with your assessment that one option of the twitter post (wow that link image tho) is to just make it so companions can't die on the ship. That being said, I think there are multiple facets here that are worth considering. First, the "just make them unkillable on the ship" thing. This is factual. From the outside, it's reasonable. It embodies the "just this once" mindset, and it's a regular practice in the software industry. At my job, we do it via "feature flags" (lolol "feature"). When there's something new or unstable we're trying, we'll block off that code and wrap it in a "checkbox" we control, so we can turn on or off the feature/bug as needed. Unfortunately, there's are two primary tradeoffs with doing so, and one implied problem with this approach: 1. Code gets messy because we have to have two "working" paths of execution in addition to the logic that controls the flag as on/off. 2. Many times the feature itself is strictly working vs. not working, not new vs. old. In other words, if the core functionality has a problem, the only two options are (in this case) have a bug in HoB that triggers rarely (but severely impacts gameplay) vs. completely disabling HoB. The implied problem is that failing to identify the root cause of the problem leads to potentially more problems. Imagine in the ladder example there were more cut-scenes where the NPC could climb ladders and die. Blocking off death from this particular ship wouldn't solve other ship cut-scenes from NPC death. We could add a second "don't die here" execution path, sure, but imagine if this was a game engine problem and not a game-specific problem. Maybe the issue wasn't limited to cut-scenes at all, and random death could happen under weird conditions everywhere. It boils down to, reproducing a bug is one thing, but despite how easy a bug is to reproduce, tracking down the **why** can be super tricky.

Just because you are a developer doesn't mean you know how to develop someone else's shit. Throwing around tech buzzwords does not make you an expert on someone else's platform, methodologies, or business decisions. Your bug is not game breaking nor critical for 2 reasons: - You have other avenues to edit your runes. - It's not happening to anyone but you or a small number of people. Did you repair your client? Reinstall? You know your computer could be causing this issue, yeah?

If someone else can reproduce it, they can look at the logs. But they don't even ask for the logs.... They just give up and call it a day. EDIT: and I just went through that Twitter thread: the issue is that PLAYERS couldn't reproduce the bug either. I **_CAN_** reproduce the bug. 100% of the time. The bug in that Twitter thread also didn't technically need to be fixed the way they fixed it. If they couldn't actually find out what was killing companions, they **_COULD_** have just modified their code so that companions can't die, even on the ship. The "climbing nothing" bug would have persisted (and maybe never been found), but the "companion dying and making my quest fail" bug would have been solved.

When Riot reworked Ghost Poro and Zombie Ward to give AD/AP and not just vision, they also changed eyeball collection to work off takedowns instead of kills/assists. Ever since patch 9.7, assists are supposed to give the same amount of stacks as kills.

This thread is complaining about Aphelios ability to dunk other ADCs. As someone who plays melee carry junglers... Aphelios is free food. That might be contributing to his low winrate. That doesn't justify his ability to stomp other ADCs just by right clicking though (if the OP is true).
: I need some clarification on New Players and Elo
So, I have 6 accounts. What Riot seems to be doing is this: 1) Your MMR starts gold. Your very first ranked game on a fresh account will be with/against golds 2) Your rank will be bronze. Your MMR and rank will not be close at all. 3) After your placements are over, you will get +33 (or more, I can't remember) on a win, and -5 (or less, can't remember) on a loss. This is to force people to grind out more games to reach their true rank, because even if you're winning a lot it's still going to take 100-200 games for your rank to catch up with your actual MMR, and for your LP gains and losses to be the same rather than wildly different from each other. This is so people who "only play ranked" will play more, and hopefully spend more money. (While I did this on fresh accounts, it applies to "soft reset" accounts as well - just not to the same degree). Riot doesn't care about ladder integrity or match quality. They just want you to grind and spend money.

He is a software architect, which means he made **_high level_** design decisions, and other people likely actually wrote the code and implemented it. So he probably doesn't know the finer details of how everything works. "How many days it takes for you to regain your honor" is not a high level design decision. That would be a "finer detail." He also likely doesn't care while he's replying on an internet forum in his free time.
