: How to deal with that?
Really, nothing you can do but hope rItO SuPpOrT will not stare at the player for a few hundred matches before banning.

: This system was abused before. Its nice when systems are placed for the benefit of everyone. Unfortunately, more people like to find ways to abuse them instead. For example, I remember certain teammates or opponents encouraging the other side's malicious players, promising to reward them with honor for continuing team harassment. Whether in the form of being toxic or just straight up _inting_. Devs. who set up these systems make them assuming that everyone in the community has goodwill towards each other and a sporting behavior. Its sad to see good things removed because of a certain part of the player base who like to abuse it. I'm all for its return but it'd be nice if they placed certain precautions for those who'd encourage others to be toxic in exchange for honor. Maybe, if you're found honoring an opponent or player who was toxic, you rack up a certain percentage of punishment rewarded to the toxic player. Something like that.

Have you heard of Disco Nunu? Players used to take nunu with cleanse/ghost/clarity, and just run it down. They got banned for it. Again, the Tribunal failed, you can't say it's any better than this system The fact that the player in the second case is still playing is a clear sign that the current system isn't any better. In no way should a player be able to blatantly troll and int for that long and STILL go undetected by the system after being reported by potentially 952 to 2,142 other players. _Looking_ good in comparison to the Tribunal does not mean it is actually good. What the later needed was more refinement.
Mr Sa1nt (NA)
: Well that's a pretty crappy thing for a player to do, and is obviously trolling...but can you tell me with a straight face that it happens like that for EVERY case? With the Tribunal, it was backed up. That means EVERY case would be delayed. The unfortunate thing with a bot system is that it can't catch everything, and what it does catch...will not always be instant. The negative part about a human system, is that it just takes too long, there's not enough people to moderate the people. Anyways, no one is really offering a better system idea here than either of the two. Tribunal didn't work, and people complain about this one. What's the next idea? I don't have one, and if Riot had a better idea...I would assume they'd deploy it.

The tickets would just keep getting backed up, a human system is just bad, there's way too many people to moderate. Nowadays, it's unlikely people go unpunished. Heck, when I got my permaban, I'm pretty sure my game closed out immediately after my match ended...or not long after. Most of the time when I report a toxic player, I get a message about it a day or two later. I much rather have this system, rather than it taking 3 months for ANYONE to get punished. A Support Zed with 6 Doran Shields, spamming /joke, and avoiding fights. This player and their duo did this for over two months and 250+ Ranked matches before getting banned. Now tell me with a straight face that in a 2 month span, they did not get mass reported by around 2000 players.

I won't disagree they probably are understaffed from what they should be, but how many staff do you hire to cover a playerbase of many millions of people? Even if they hired 1000 people, at minimum wages, they'd be spending EASILY well over $100,000 daily. Not to mention that the playerbase total is supposedly over 100million players. How could 1000 staff possibly cover 100million people? That's a 100,000:1 ratio, very little would get done. There's a bot system, because the human system was just too slow. Even the Tribunal with free help, and a smaller playerbase at the time, was many months behind. People would get banned 3-4 months after being toxic.

If a person intentionally feeds they aren't going to be straight up the most basic textbook run it down the lane as you would imagine. In this case, it's pretty close if you ask me. 45 seconds per each death seems quite remarkable. Also the whole study can be pretty plausible but can have flaws such as all champions have differences in their base movement speed when they start the game. Expecting an intentional feeder to have a perfect flawless k/d/a such as a death a minute, seems too detectable, too obvious. You gotta keep in mind many people know how to easily work around this. : **UPDATE** So my support ticket was responded to first by the automated Blitzcrank Bot, so I had to amend it to make sure it was reviewed by an actual Riot employee. This afternoon I got a really nice reply from a Riot dude who was really understanding and said that "the competitive integrity of each match is exceptionally important!" He thanked me for going the extra step of submitting a ticket -- but still told me to just use the in-game reporting system. However, I still don't feel confident that these types of players are caught by the automated system. I've been checking OP.GG on this guy today and it's now been over 24 hours since he last played so I'm hoping he was punished. I had a really bad time in ranked games last night, trolls abounded. : That’s pretty unfortunate you underwent that. Even if you think that’s the optimal strategy to poke (I do not), that doesn’t give others free reign to rage or afk. It does sound like they were behaving in an odd, but intentionally losing way, so I would submit a support ticket, specifically because their behavior unique and appeared to avoid intentional feeding detection. While it is pretty frustrating getting a player like that in your game, there presence does not mean that this behavior goes unpunished. Intentionally losing a game is typically met with a two week suspension when it’s caught.

: Matchmaking is only part of the issue. One of the issues with toxicity is riot just seems to sweep it under the rug a lot. I watched the documentary, and only 4 minutes was devoted to the tribunal. It was almost an afterthought for the documentary like "oh we saw toxicity on the rise and implemented this" didn't mention that it went away, or how it worked, anything. Today, we don't have a tribunal. we have an automated system that basically filters if you spam "bad words" aka self harm, racial remarks etc, yet doesn't actually feel like it does anything. I have been in matches where everything but the N word has been said, heck, even the n word has been said (although a shortened slang version) and not one pop up of "thanks for the assist!" and those players STILL playing games long after they said it. I get that not every player you report will have the pop up, but it gives me the satisfaction that my report mattered. What do I think riot should do? A better system should be implemented with more severe punishments on players who are toxic in ranked. Sure, leave normals a little leeway in case you accidently say something you shouldn't in the heat of the moment. but in ranked, the moment you say something extremely toxic, you get a warning, and the next warning in the span of 3 months for the same offense, perma ban. It's obvious that the system isn't workng as intended when people are continuing to act very toxic.

Try 250 games of raw inting.

: Well, league champions are often meant to capture at a glance and "the one word" question actually tells you quite a bit. Kai'sa is a being from the void who survived its horrors and somehow made it out with her sanity in tact. She's also a pretty hot girl who has the big baps. With this question, Riot wants to nail down _exactly_ what people feel when they see Kai'sa. Is she a scary monster-person from the void? Is she a hot grill in a skintight body suit? Is she a survivalist badass who can fight all sorts of eldritch horrors? Is she a goofball character who is more joke than champion?

How bout irritation and low expectation?

: are you prepared to not gain any LP if there is one of those on the enemy team and you won if any compensations are to be implemented? If losing team gets free LP compensations, then winning team shouldn't receive any LP for winning. Otherwise, you just create LP inflation.

If means rito gets off their lazy bum, then 100%.

Just from experience playing Garen with the new changes, he is a NASTY piece of work.

: Riot Cactopus makes an official statement about HKA and announcers
If something like Blitzchung happened in LoL and considering that unlike Blizzard, Rito is completely owned by Tencent, you'd bet that they'd do the same thing. Maybe even go the extra mile.

But that's the thing. There's no way to prove the difference. By your logic every new player would be banned out of the game for having bad item builds and KDA as a new player.

If a Level 45 {{champion:238}} Support player who buys only {{item:1054}} 's plays Ranked and spams /joke for the entire game doesn't scream trolling, I don't know what is.

: Riot you really need to perma ban some players from Rank
Rito needs to be MUCH more strict for Ranked games.
: Trolling players
Good luck if that troll actually gets banned. Rito is slower than a drowsy snail when it comes to banning blatant trolling.

: Riot Bring back Honor for enemy
Didn't one of the reason they removed it was BECAUSE of toxicity? Players in the Korean server would often Honor the most feeding player on the enemy team.
GGEazzy (EUW)
: Why am I being matched with a feeder troll I just reported moments ago?
"They're just having a bad game." But really, Rito simply does not care about victims of trolls. Not even compensation on accounts of "wE'Re tRyINg OuR bEsT tO mAkE iT sO iT cAn'T bE AbUseD!"(Which isn't even hard)

: Toxicity in league of legends.
Rito really doesn't want to do anything for reported people besides slapping them on the wrist.

: Where are you getting these numbers? That seems WAY too high to be true. I wanna see some links. The bigger question is why does Yasuo get all the hate on boards and Zed just gets a free pass? He's picked and banned just as much (if not more) and he wins more.

Targeting people with accusations is one thing, but when you can look these records up and someone is actively ruining games I don't care if people know what their name is. It isn't some post on twitter without context, its evidence of someone breaking the rules and ruining the game. The fact that toxic behavior is protected across all the popular forums that discuss this game and endorsed by streamers is one of the big reasons this is never addressed. I know there's good reasons the rule is there to prevent witch hunting and such, but honestly at this point protecting the worst of the community constantly is getting tiring.

A lot of toxic players need a little humility.
