Since in the article they said it was 70% auto fill support. Encourage that role with actual tangible rewards and those who are trying to get all the champions would be likely to spam support for shards. They do incentivize autofilling though, although it's just with the prospect of not having to autofill again. If you play a role you didn't queue up for, you're guaranteed one of your positions next game.

If you play a role you didn't queue up for, you're guaranteed one of your positions next game. That is not an incentive. An incentive is: If you voluntarily do this, we will give you this. Autofill is we will force you to do this, but don't worry, afterwards you are safe from getting it again your next game.

I just wanted to hear from the community and get their opinion since I am relatively new to the game. Been playing like 3 months, ranked for 2 months. Now that I am Silver 1 and playing with Golds players, those who are auto filled into a role they don't play have a massive, massive negative impact moreso than I saw when I was still Bronze. I am still surprised League doesn't trend with other MOBAs when a situation works (besides TFT). We still don't have actual voice chat so you can speak with your teammates not in your party. People thought the same thing about Dota, it'll increase toxicity on the mic and it'll be far more negative. But actually, the opposite happened. Majority of the negativity steamed from not being on the same page. So communicating in fights as the fight is happening (ex. switch to Katarina she just showed in the bush) allowed for players to be on the same page and resulted in less toxicity and flaming. The community as a whole is still toxic though.
: In addition to lower queue times, autofill encourages players to learn new roles and champs as well as encouraging them to form their own teams. If you queue up as a team you don't have to worry about autofill, and being able to play any position helps you to become a better player in every position.

I agree with learning new roles it makes you a better player. I am all for having people learn new roles. But forcing you in a ranked game with every one's lp on the line is a bit too far in my eyes.

In my eyes, quality over quantity. If I play two games and win them both I'm up 32 lp. If I play three games with one teammate is auto filled and lose, I'm up 18 lp. I will read this post about auto fill here in a sec. I appreciate you sending it over so I can look at it!

: i think autofill is a stupid idea. i used to always get autofilled and it was rly bad as i always got autofilled to jng and I'm trash at jng. i don't play ranked but if i did this would be terrible. i don't think that they should remove it as the queue times would be immense but they should at least have an option to toggle it on or off. u mentioned that u thought this would be one sided but i don't think it will be because i know SSSOOOOO many ppl who hate autofill and a couple who have quit league because of it. i play mid and top which are the most popular lanes so removing/changing autofill would improve the quality of my games a ton

: If you mute someone for flaming, don't unmute them later. You do not have to speak to anyone or hear anyone to play the game. {{sticker:sona-playing}}

Moreso, holding grudges and not giving second chances has the same effect.

It really isn't broken if you understand how it works. I let you know that you aren't the only one who misunderstands how the system works. Let's have you understand the behavioral system a bit more. Think of it like a health bar (or tension meter) in music games. When you hit the note at an off beat, your tension meter increases. When you completely miss a note, the meter increases by alot. When you hit the note at good timings, it reduces the meter. Riot's behavior system works the same way, as in we all have a toxicity meter attached to our accounts. When players are mildly toxic, it goes up a tad. When people use hate speech, it pretty much fills up the meter. of course, clean games reduce the meter. Your chat is like ... suuuuuppppeeeerrrr mild with a bit of blame at the end. Not sure what your regular behavior is like or if something was omitted, but you can try to send in a ticket to support at https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us and ask them how many recent games you've been validly report and if they have chatlogs for those games as well. That might bring some more clarity to the punishment.
Nothing from this game was omitted. I feel like my demeanor is like this in all games. Maybe there is a communication barrier where I type something one way and it is interpreted another. Just incredibly strange. I will definitely submit a ticket to support to try and find out more. Thanks man!
: Yeah man that's pretty tame. You might write to support.... although what about the other games? I've been banned like a dozen times and the only way I can avoid the automated system is to type little or nothing. System seems more sensitive when there is a lot of text in my experience anyway.
This was the only game in the report screen where it gave chat logs. I am usually trying to calm tilted people down. Which in turn I guess makes them more tilted. Hard to say.
