the issue is that chat is easy to see, the logs record everything players say, be it in all chat or just on the team however play itself is subjective a player and rioter can look at the same video and see 2 different things the player will see someone who trolled/inted while the rioter will see someone who had a bad game/bad matchup there is no system in place that would 100% guarantee find players who; troll/int/etc but the system we have for chat does see things like; flame/toxicity/etc

you just kind of proved my point a rioter can look at a chat log and with almost 100% certainty see if someone said something they shouldn't have or if they were flaming/being toxic/etc that same rioter can look at gameplay and see almost nothing wrong with how someone is playing the game despite the fact that a player reporter the person for inting/feeding/trolling because everyone is going to see something different when it comes to gameplay, but chat is pretty much solid proof that "oh yeah that guy said x" because they can pull the chat logs for that person in that match

if you can get there then go for it Gold on your first ranked season isn't too bad honestly just do the best you can given what knowledge you have you could always make a post over in the recruitment forum saying your looking for some players to practice with in custom games in your skill bracket (high silver-low plat) the first thing I would recommend is learn what champions give you problems in your lane with whatever champion(s) you play this will be your biggest block. as a prime example, when I mid lane I always have issues against Fizz. There is no champion or playstyle I can run to counter him easily, so I have just gone for the hard ban. finding what counters your champion is a key step. if you can learn to fight that champion, be either a build tweak or playstyle tweak; then great. but if you can't then you know, that should be one of your priority bans for the champion you might play after that would be build optimization. just because the build you've been using works doesn't mean there isn't a better one. always keep other items in the back of your head as switch outs depending on enemy team comp and their respective builds if you see an enemy is building hp regen or has in built hp regen, even if you wont run into til late game, consider getting something with Grievous Wounds as your 3rd or 4th item someone is building heavy tank? then make sure to grab extra pen to help shred that defense away.

: I have had two ideas I think could work. One is a straight nerf. Scaling duration with Ranks. Not about 4 seconds at all ranks. The other is a rework. Switching Windwall and his Ult around. Make Windwall his Ult. Give it a longer duration say 6 seconds and its width would scale like 400/500/600. Its CD would be like 90/60/30 His W would become a knock up reliant dash onto a single target. It would cause one double crit damage instance and give Yas a set amount of Lethality or Armor Pen depending on rank that lasts like 3-5 seconds. This would make his Windwall a teamfight tool more than a personal shield. And he still has INSANE solo duel potential do to the reworked Knockup Dash.
we've already nerfed Yasuo though people still find ways to go 0/13 and that makes Rito go "maybe we nerfed him too much" they undo the nerf and the cycle returns

in what ways though? these things, regardless of what they are, need to be tested the PBE does this to some extent but since normal League has far more players, that is where the new features might encounter problems and thus possibly break whenever they add/remove/tweak something it can create a bug either directly on what they changed or it creates bugs in other areas. these bugs often can go unnoticed by the devs and people in the PBE only coming to light once it hits live servers and then it can take weeks for a fix to come through there in lies the big risk sure it could only be on a few things, maybe a champion or two gets removed from rank play until the fix is put out, but depending on the problem these bugs cause it could take ranked down as a whole for the duration of time while they attempt to fix the problem

: Personally, I think it should at least be an option. I'd much rather wait 30 minutes and play a game in the position I actually wanna play, rather than a 2 minute wait, get autofilled as jungle, play a 40-50 minute game (champ select included), and go through it all over again. This is a game, afterall. Maybe some people don't mind being thrust into various roles for diversity, but I'd say the majority have a preferred champ or role they want, and being autofilled is just a game wasting time trying to get to play that desired game. It's honestly a toxic, terrible system. If you're okay with being autofilled for a faster wait time, that's what the fill option is for. It should be an option to check, rather than a role to select. The solution is really simple. Check the box (after selecting your preferred positions) if you're okay with being filled to other roles for a faster wait time. If you're not, know that waiting for an open mid position could take 30+ minutes. There used to be some pretty long wait times in WoW, when their automatic matchmaking system was first released. I thought it was worth the wait every single queue. I really don't understand why this is so difficult to implement. It's a win-win. Plus a win for Riot, with people having one less thing to bitch about.

I understand that but adding in a game mode permanently that they have found to make people quit the game isn't good for the game as a whole and it isn't just the people that come in to play urf, it is also regular players as well the game mode draws a lot of attention, making other game modes harder to play since most people are off in urf thus players will quit playing for the duration of urf because it takes longer to find matches that they do want to play

The system is not perfect. But honestly I'd rather have a flawed system that guarantees a match within a set time over sitting in a 30+min queue to hopefully get in a match. As a point, the higher rank you are the longer your queue is because there aren't as many people in that rank. Even if League uses a system similar to Smite (which I think it does) it can still take 30+min for people in Gold or higher to find a ranked match. In that same time period I could likely play a game of Draft or 2 games of Aram..

that may be true but it is still a system that could very easily be exploited you would just need one person to afk in a "lost" match so that the rest of the team doesn't lose as much LP given the still occurring issues of things like win trading or boosters (or smurfs which riot can do jack all about), afkers in ranked matches would become just another problem to add in the pile of reasons to not touch ranked as I stated in a previous post, it would be entirely possible for people to sell afking to players for ranked matches "Yeah I can AFK in your ranked match if it goes south...it'll cost you [insert money/rp here]."

: Verbal aspect is fine. 99% of the time it is accurate. Gameplay will always leave room for desire because there isn't really a clear cut way to determine intent.
pretty much this I doubt there is any system that currently exists that would allow for a 100% "we can now catch those who int feed or troll in games" and even then there's a chance that it would flag people wrongly; thus creating more problems than it solves
