: Hashinshin proving Riven is idiot proof. (LOL RIVEN SKILL)
Hashshinshin is a player who has existed as a Summoner for a very long time and at one time used to bring discussion topics to the older forums. Often, topics were of controversial nature, but ultimately had healthy discussion in the community. As time has progressed and the game has changed rapidly, his own views and play styles have unfortunately been unable to do so very well. As Hashinshin became a more prominent streamer these aspects seem to have set in even further. I believe there is a very fine line of providing entertainment and providing educational entertainment, with the former being potentially destructive in nature to the viewers. I also believe that within some reason, at times he still holds points of validity to some of his statements and opinions about League of Legends. I have only uncertainty in whether or not he is entirely serious when he speaks.
: I love the balancing team.
I wish that our community here was able to have more proper discussion about game balance, but often we produce inconsistent quality of dialog. It has reached a point that our older forums used to posses where members of Riot Games are reluctant to make commentary due to hostility and disingenuous responses. It is very unfortunate to see postings erupt with anger and hostility on topics that are as simple as disagreement.
: Another Wave of Bot scripters for Riot to kill
It is a very unfortunate and growing issue. Ensure that you report each one for cheating via third party programs and be sure to place in the comment box that it is not an actual player. I would also strongly urge that you compile a list of Summoner names you have high suspect to be abusing script programs to level accounts and share them with Riot's support team. I contact Riot Games approximately once each month and provide them as much evidence as possible to help increase progress.
: What do you guys think about creep block? Do you think it should be removed from the game?
You raise a fair question. I believe ultimately it is a necessary evil in the game to have minions, champions, and monsters block champion movement as a balance measure. Despite my belief, I do feel it can be quite frustrating to experience unintended extremes where the interaction is clearly not working as intended. Champion models becoming trapped and unable to move due to movement skills or other means of movement seem to happen relatively commonly and can very well ruin an experience for players.
: Fiddlesticks Rework: Personal Thoughts
It is likely that the intention for Fiddlesticks' redesign is to retain certain core elements of his theme as a champion. From past champions we have seen modernization in positive ways, however I do believe some champions did lose their original themes. In contrast, Pantheon was a very successful redesign that not only retained his own theme, but gave him ideal modernization to keep him relevant. I would suggest to you to join the Public Beta Environment when Fiddlesticks has been revealed for testing in order to give proper feedback.

: actual employee admits they make the hitboxes for skillshots "shorter" to fuck with you
I believe the basis of the topics holds strong merit for discussion, however the tone is unlikely to yield a positive response from a member of Riot Games. The original posting about this topic that which you quote from was met with a lot of hostility from those simply looking to slander. It has been difficult for quite some time to have discussion with members of their team through not only here, but the original forums of long ago. It is likely that the increase in player population has created more extremes and outliers for discussions to move into negative direction. I do quite strongly feel that it is important to be able to express all opinions, both positive and negative, but not at the cost of civil discussion.
: I seriously don't get why HotS has it but League doesn't.
This is an a very great idea to bring to the game Summoner. I have wished for such an addition since I had first started playing League of Legends. In the past with the older version of the game there were means to change champion portraits, splash art, and announcer sounds through the use of community made programs. Unfortunately none of these options are of much possibility now. I believe this is entirely feasible to do as they have already produced new announcers in the past for special events such as Gangplank, Star Guardian Ahri, and Dark Star Thresh.

: We deliberately make skill shot indicators slightly shorter range and thinner than the actual missiles. This is to account for the fact that many players don't fully consider things like travel time and champion hitbox size when throwing their spells. They'll fire at things "just on the edge" that they expect to hit. If skill shot line indicators were perfectly accurate it would result in a lot of missed spells that were fired with an expectation to hit. ——————————————— Edit: here’s an example for better clarity. I ran into a problem with Jinx W. When the indicator was exactly accurate people were more likely to tell me it “missed more than expected.” This is because, while the missile is very fast, it still has travel time so shooting at someone who is max range away will almost never hit them. A shorter indicator was more representative of the “effective max range.” People are rarely going to be upset if their skill shot hits something that they thought was slightly out of range. In that case, expectations are broken in a positive way, “Oh nice I didn’t expect that root to hit!” They WILL be upset if their spell misses something they expected to hit, “WTF they were in range but the spell didn’t reach them. This indicator lies!” This is further confounded by the fact that most players’ default assumption is that skillshots “cheat” the indicator a bit. An indicator that is perfectly accurate can often feel as though it’s lying about the true range of the spell, because of EXPECTATIONS.

I must respectfully disagree with this philosophy AD Yuumi. I am also quite surprised to hear this has been intended as a design choice for this reason. I have been playing since season one and have been entirely unaware of this. There are many games that utilize what we address as skillshot indicators in similar and different game genres. One thing they all have in common is indicators for skills are accurate to a reasonable degree. While no game can have perfection in this regard, many strive to achieve as close as possible in order to give an appropriate experience . I believe that the League of Legends ten years ago may have had more merit to this design choice you speak of when the game was new and fresh from a source that was even older. The original DotA Allstars in Warcraft III has the very same lack of clarity with indicators as League of Legends does today. Please consider the possibility of this being a outdated design choice, many attributes of League of Legends have changed or been removed entirely over the course of ten years of design and production. New player experiences are goals to take as priority at times, such as having an issue with scripted accounts invading new player friendly modes (Co-op vs AI as am example), and should be of greater importance than upholding this philosophy in my own opinion.
: how do you determine which champion to ban?
I choose champions I believe to be too powerful to allow selection for most of the time, but less often I will choose to ban champions that tend to counter what I have selected.
: Live chat is incredible.
Congratulations on your reception of more Riot points Summoner. The support team has always be consistently wonderful from my own experiences.
: Overwolf "Addons"
I believe you hold a valid concern about this matter. It is important to look at the programs in question in a worst case situation. If they provide benefit that is otherwise unable to be gained by a player themselves, then there is a strong chance that it is potentially violating the terms of service. Prediction based assessments as you have mentioned such as "Aggression" and "Just waking up" are predication statements based on statistics that a player could do upon their own if they wished. Ultimately, I would strongly urge you to cast doubt aside by contacting Riot's support team where they can confirm with you if it is in violation with certainty.
: i know this particular thing won't be the best advice, but maybe taking a break from playing might help? only for a day or so, depending on how serious you are. constantly smashing your way through games with the intent of learning might tire you out a lot and make you more accident prone. whenever i get tired or feel like i'm hitting a rut i'll take a small break and watch serious high elo streamers (not the clickbait ones) and hear their opinions and tips. it might not necessarily apply to your role or champion specifically, but knowing one detail is better than not knowing it at all i think, good luck with your future games!
I am sorry to hear you are struggling in this way. I would like to endorse the statements made by others already such as Anisia263. There is a possibility that you may have gotten too in depth and worn out playing which has resulted in a stagnate results. Taking even a small break may help significantly. ZackTheWaffleMan made a great suggestion in observing the Skillcapped youtube channel. They are very informative on what and how to go about matches in great detail in every role. Also, Blue Shift already has mentioned the concept of writing down faults and looking towards focusing on those particular issues. What your role of choice? Do you have a champion preference?
: from all my heart. riots balance team is extremly extremly bad at their job.
I believe there is a lot of validity in what many have said here about the state of the balance in the game. I also have sympathy for members of the balance team as they all different people with their own ideas as to what should happen, but this is not always something that pans out well. Ultimately the balancing team must fall in line with a certain objective that they are given to by superiors. It is unknown to us the internal pressure the members of the team undergo in the work place and we can only hope that it is not too detrimental to the people involved as well as the work they do. Above all else, the game has reached a point where there are very many levels of aspects to account for and it can make or break different parts of League of Legends with even the smallest of changes sometimes.

: Matches like this upset me so much to the point I don't want to play anymore
I am sorry to hear about your very poor experience. It is common a break point is found for many players where the game's enjoyment is enveloped by the frustration of a match. I would encourage your brief break as you have mentioned as it does well to help clear the mind and return to a better mindset. There are times where the chat can become an issue for a variety of reasons, but there are also times where the choices of others in matches may be the case. At the very minimal, the most one can control is themselves and in this way I speak of how you are viewing and reacting to situations. It may not be easy at first and may take time to turn away from viewing strictly the negative events in a match. I believe it is okay to be frustrated about games at times, but if it becomes all consuming then a break or change in perspective is in order. Focusing on self improvement is a safe means to avoid focusing on the negatives of others. At the very least it is important to understand that unfortunately not all games will be winnable and you may very well encounter times where you make all the correct decisions, but do not yield the outcome you strive for. I wish you well in overcoming the frustration.
: What do I do about a toxic player avoiding bans
If you are speaking in seriousness, I would highly encourage you to contact Riot's support team with a ticket about the matter. Unfortunately there is no guarantee that you will find the result that you seek, but it is a path that has a chance to yield result or at the very least a response from their stance on the matter.
: Will We Get a Response to Bot (Automated Script) Farming Issue?
It is an ever growing issue that has existed for quite some time unfortunately. I too have created a posting about this issue and have seen many instances of scripted players. While I may not be a new player, I still find this to be a detriment to my own experience and most importantly the experience of new players.
: What rank are you aiming for in season 10?
I wish to reach as high as I am able and as an abstract goal I would simply seek to support within high ELO matches. As a more concrete goal I will strive to achieve Diamond rating for season ten.
: Do you feel bad when game is lost because you fed your opponent?
I am sorry you feel such guilt. It is very common that others feel flustered by matches that go poorly and even greater when it relates strongly to their own poor performance. Not all players feel guilt in response to events such as this, as an example some may feel anger. It is important to understand that all players in all regions make mistakes at even the highest reaches of ladder ranks. If it helps ease your mind, know that each game is a opportunity for you to learn and improve in games as well as finding enjoyment within them. I personally feel flustered by poor performance in games at times, ideally I wish to do as well as possible if I am able.
: Vel'Koz Skin
I believe it can prove to be difficult to create new concepts for void based champions at times. However, I have hoped for Vel'Koz to receive a skin from the Dark Star or Infernal skin themes.

Also , leveling up an account to lvl 30 is r%%%%%edly hard I stopped completly even tho I hate the MMR on this account The issue is not about difficulty, but the integrity and purpose of the game mode. For many it is somewhere to be able to practice certain game mechanics and strategies without feeling as though they are harming other game modes. For others it is simply a mode that does not pressure for a player according to the set rules of regular matches. I am very frustrated with how this affects new players, seeing the extreme behaviors can be very confusing as well as frustrating for them. It is difficult to follow by example if there are no appropriate examples to follow.

: It is a bigger problem than you might realize. You know all those toxic people who you have in your ranked games? who are generally level 30 or low level, and who are intentionally throwing etc? How often do you think that these people are actually making their accounts and leveling them up. These botted accounts are not for personal use, they are for selling to those people who have no good intentions on the account at all, or else they wouldnt need more than 1. They are being sold to those flaming, feeding, harrassing, game ruining, and all around toxic players who A) either have their main account banned because they decided to be toxic and then not heed the warnings to straighten up... and so they are buying accounts now to ruin other peoples fun because they ruined their own and are blaming it on other toxic people... or B) they are being used by people who have their main account in tact, but get pissed off at something, and then instead of jeopardizing their own account, they use these throw away accounts that probably are only a couple dollars each. Now. Is this truely not a problem now that you know this information?

: Playing since Before Season 1
I am inclined to agree with your comments about the new Blue Essence system. As season one player myself, I can say that it does not affect me personally as much as it should because I own all the champions I would have wished for. It should be noted that I did not exclusively unlock all content strictly through Influence Points. However, I know for certain there are many players who are newer or recently started that struggle to unlock champions through this system. I very much enjoy the change that was made for the rune and mastery system because of how difficult it was for newer players to understand in depth. There are not too many blockades for new players now, but it seems a new one has inadvertently been created with the Blue Essence system. I do hope that Riot Games is carefully listening to those who voice their thoughts on the matter. I know not all choose to express themselves in a civil manner in the anonymity of the internet and that is unfortunate, but at the same time there are many who do.

: Buff towers it's getting sad.
I would have to agree strongly with your statement. By referencing to past seasons, the tower balance has often been very inconsistent in their strengths and weaknesses. I do not know what sort of methods Riot can bring as new changes for this, but there is little that can be done due the the nature of the way League of Legends is balanced. I believe a balance between the two aspects is what would be most effective. Preventing early demise, but never stagger the end of the match for too long. Perhaps a reduction in the damage the minions deal to towers may be considered.

It is important to remember that not all are willing to accept advice or criticism. : Patch 4.10 notes
I will be quite happy with both the new supportive item. The change being made to the duo queue aspect within Ranked is also a very important change. I believe it to be a very intelligent choice made and should help to aid some of the frustrations that stemmed from the previous version.

Thank you very much for creating this topic here Summoner. I believe the voice you share here is also the voice of many upon our current forums now including myself. We very much wish to converse with Riot in ways that are constructive and beneficial to both the community and the game itself. I know there are issues we face currently with our community struggling with toxicity, but there are many of us who are not. I feel that our community is so much better than what others make it out to be. There are so very many wonderful Summoners who are kind, intelligent, creative, and many other wonderful qualities. Please consider our wishes Riot, we do not wish to be left behind.
