: The Sad Reality of the Current State of Jungle
It would be interesting to test this by playing without a dedicated jungler (though you'd need four other people to go along with you). My theory is that if jungling is too weak, then this strategy would be superior (or at least equal) to having a jungler. On the other hand, if including a jungler is still the most effective way to play, then the jungle nerfs are appropriate from a balance perspective. I say from a "balance" perspective because they may still be bad from a fun perspective. It could be the case that the benefits of having a character who is only visible when he ganks or passes a ward outweigh the drawbacks of that character being underleveled, but that the experience of playing the underleveled character is unrewarding. In my own experience, jungling has definitely become less rewarding for me, particularly when I gank someone two levels above me and get nuked, but I also wonder if what has really happened is that the jungler's power to win the game has simply been brought in line with that of the other characters. I'm still undecided.
: Completed support items are rough on supports
I wonder if this is a bug. Otherwise, it seems like a horrifyingly bad decision, as it's often essential for a support to be able to wave clear late game (ex: after a team fight where most players are dead and a tower is threatened). If they followed Heimtech's suggestion to remove the debuff at stage 3, then that's great, as that lets it solve the original purpose without this horrible late effect.
: Okay, fine, Riot. Take your TT away. But we need something in its place.
It's painful how so much of the game industry somehow decided that 5 is a magic number and that's how many people need to be in your group if you don't want to pug. League, DoTA, Heroes of the Storm, WoW, Guild Wars 2, plenty of others that I can't think of at the moment. I have a hard time getting a group of 5 that wants to consistently play the same game, and Twisted Treeline was an awesome option that I'm really sad to lose. My wife loved playing League with me (usually easy to get a third person), but I doubt she will get into a mode where we have to pug most of the time.

: Iverns ultimate "Daisy" shouldn't die when Ivern dies.
"Champion A has it, so give it to Champion B". In my mind, that is never a good enough reason for a change. It moves the characters toward homogenization. Plus, that's a buff. Is that where you would prefer his power budget be spent?
: Balancing around CDR is a mistake, because it will end up like Flash.
Strongly agree. This isn't about Fizz, he's just an example. It's about the difference between meaningful choices (Do I build a Cho'gath with a super burst or one who can be more disruptive in team fights?) to one where he will be balanced based on having 40% CDR because almost any half-intelligent build will get you there whether you were trying to or not. Before, I thought it was fun to surprise people with high-CDR on champs who don't normally build it, but now that hitting 40% as standard procedure, it's no longer much of a choice.

: _**Me (Support Lux):**_ "Yo dude, how are you constantly getting chunked by a Zyra support when you outrange her?" _**My ADC (Ezreal):**_ "holy shit you're flaming me when you're a support Lux? muted and reported". Meanwhile Riot says toxicity in games has been in an all-time low while people like Ezreal here, claim that it's even worse. I can only imagine why this is the case, they literally call anyone toxic if you attempt to even communicate with them with words. {{sticker:slayer-jinx-unamused}}

If you actually want to be useful, a comment like "We should fight at longer range with this matchup" gives the same message without anything negative.

: it sounds like pointless criticism, hindsight is 20/20, and its generally just 'bruh you shouldnt have died', like, yeah no fucking shit dickhead if you are going to use chat, use it to win, that doesnt help the team win and is completely uselessfor the team and the criticised player, if you want to win, you tell your team mate what he should have done instead, or the specific thing he did wrong, but 'bruh you shouldnt had dun that' is completely vague, useless and worthless criticism and only really serves to boost the persons own ego so under some shallow analysis, yeah it kind of is being a dick, doesnt help the team win and is better off not said,

If you're going to post any kind of criticism or advice, pause and ask yourself if the person probably already knows it. Usually, the answer is "yes", especially if they just died for their mistake. And right or wrong, being told things we already know tends to be aggravating.
: Pra'Vus - The Vile Corruptor [void support champion concept]
For me...I saw the picture of the Harvester from Battleforge and thought "Dang, I REALLY want that game back."
: Game lags very hard when killed
There's a big difference. If everything keeps animating, but it doesn't take commands or show you the most recent behavior from other players, that's typically a network problem. Could be connection speed, ISP problem, firewall, or one of many other things, but ultimately, it's at the network level. If the screen completely freezes, that usually indicates a problem with what's happening on the computer itself (CPU, graphics card, hard drive, etc.), which is an entirely different set of troubleshooting steps. Hard to guess, but we recently fixed a somewhat similar problem on my wife's laptop by moving the League installation from the regular hard drive to the solid state drive, since apparently there was some "feature" where the regular drive would go into a sleep mode to save power and every time the game had to pull something from it, everything froze up for a second. Of course, this is only one of very many possible solutions, but I thought I'd share my own experience just in case it helped someone.

: Who misses Doom Bots?
Doom bots was by far my favorite special game mode. Perhaps it needs a little more AI work to solve some of the loopholes people have found to make it easy, but since I didn't know about those myself until I read this thread, I found it incredibly challenging. I minimize my time with URF because I have experienced what happens in other games when I let myself use cheats too much. It's really fun for a while ("Hey, I don't need to conserve ammo, anymore!"), but not only does it get boring quickly, after it gets boring, I find that the original game isn't as enjoyable as it used to be. Considering how many people I have heard say similar things, I suspect that this is a major reason Riot has resisted community requests to make it permanent.
: Mid Year Mage Updates - Zyra Direction
My main concern is that I don't want her to be like Heimerdinger. Counter-initiate is cool, but taken too far, it creates really passive gameplay (which is why Heimer either has to be underpowered or unhealthy for the game). Are you taking any steps to make sure you don't end up with a character against whom the best strategy is just to be really passive and wait for them to make a mistake?

: It's not amazing, but TT did get some semi-recent changes. Updated the map, changed items / trinket / balance updates. More then dominion got at least.

Updated the map, changed items / trinket / balance updates. More then dominion got at least. It does get a little more attention than dominion, but I think the trinket change is the last time that anything TT-specific happened, except when they are forced to change items because of SR item changes. Unless there's something I'm forgetting.

: Notice that when they mentioned healthy games modes, they specified *ARAM* and *FEATURED*. *Not* Twisted Treeline which has been in a slightly better state than Dominion after they started ignoring it. And considering there's only 4 game modes, with one getting removed; that clarification is oddly specific. So..... I'm just going to take a shot in the dark her. . .
This is what stood out to me, as well. I'm not completely predicting doom, but I think there's a fair chance that Twisted Treeline is next on the "We didn't put any resources into supporting it, but somehow people stopped playing it." chopping block.

: I can respond to number 5, since it is a system I work on. Leaverbuster does not punish for custom games. If you believe this in inaccurate, please create a video and link it for me.
When you leave a custom game, it gives the same message about banning from future games that leaving a real game does. Until you remove this, a lot of people are going to continue to believe #5.
: LeaverBuster does not punish for custom games. You punishment was caused by leaving or AFKing in a matched game.
Regardless of this particular instance, Riot should get rid of the "you may get banned" message that still appears when you leave custom games. People who haven't read comments like this on the forums probably think that they have to always finish out their customs.

: Just checked on live and it's fixed. Reinforced Armor gives 75 Armor and MR bonus when no enemy minions are nearby. Although, the tooltip isn't working -_- Will knock that out today. Sorry this took longer than it should have. See you guys on TT. Edit: Vanilla
Are we talking about the same issue. Regardless of the presence of creeps, Twisted Treeline towers go down ridiculously fast since patch 4.2.
: "We decided to change the jungle in the Twisted Treeline, but turret armor is still negative because remembering simple but gamebreaking bugs is too hard" -Rito 2014
Yes, I'm glad I'm not the only one who wants a little bit of effort aimed toward this poor, abandoned map.
: Patch 4.21 notes
No fix on the fact that Twisted Treeline towers became super-fragile in 4.20?

: On one hand, I agree with most of your points, though I do think that Riot is underestimating how useful the first dragon is (don't have to go back to receive the benefit, scales). On the other hand... >Second, the thing is we've actually been INCREASING ability counterplay of the course of the game. On launch, what percentage of champions had point and click stuns? Literally, just put your cursor over someone, receive stun, no extra cost to you. Off the top of my head, I can think of Taric, Annie, Sion. You could make a case for Ryze... I can't think of any more right now. Almost 10% of the champion lineup had a literally zero-counterplay hard crowd control. Since then we've removed Sion's and added a whole bunch of other champions, lowering that percentage pretty severely. What, 2% now? Any champion that DID get targeted CC had some kind of drawback: Nocturne has to hold the tether. Malzahar has to safely channel. Vi is now inside the team and better be tanky enough to survive. Otherwise, every hard CC we add to the game can be dodged or has some kind of extra counter-playable requirement in order to receive the CC. I worry that you're putting too much of the situation into the hands of mobile champions. The best way to shut down, say, a Yasuo, or an Akali, or Fizz, or Zed, is with CC. However, with the multiple dashes and other survival mechanisms, this means that they have an advantage. The skill there isn't so much 'how good the CCer is at landing skillshots', it's 'how bad is the person playing the dodgy champion'. Sure, it's fun to dodge the light binding and murder the Lux, but it's not so fun to have your one defense negated and then get facerolled on. I maintain that a certain amount of targetted CC should be in the game, entirely to deal with dodgy champions like those. Otherwise, you get Akali having a 55% win rate in diamond, and that'd be ridiculous. Oh, wait.
You nailed it. Older characters who only had a single dash/jump really had to sacrifice a lot of their defensive potential if they wanted to dive you. And much of the skill of using skillshots and ground-targeted AoE was choosing times when your opponent has no escape skills off cooldown. With the trend of super mobile characters, now it's "Well, I hope this Fizz player, who already used a movement ability to dive me, is too slow to use his guaranteed escape from my main damage move."
: "Server is busy"
Same here. Needs another bump, I guess.
: Patch Rundown Preseason Discussion!
Twisted Treeline. What changes will be made here. Specifically: Jungle changes? Will Vilemaw's buff be more like Dragon's, Baron's or something else? Will the tower behavior change like on SR, and if so, are the non-base towers inner or outer?
: Custom game IP
A bump and some thoughts: 1. There is no downside to putting the IP back in custom games (as long as it's low enough to not be abuse-able). It's like we're saying "Here, Riot, have more players," and you're saying "No." 2. In addition to putting them back in for low numbers of players, there should also be IP rewards for unbalanced teams as long as it's to the players' disadvantage. If my friends and I go 3v5 vs bots, we get no IP, even though we're setting up a much harder challenge than doing a co-op vs. AI where we get players in those empty slots.
