It's based on perspective though. Go through all the opinions on these boards, and tell me, could the game really be based around what everyone thinks is fun?
Also, there are some parts of this game that were never fun. There are some champions that could be really annoying, especially if they were picked into certain matchups, but you know what? That's a part of the game we play.
What matters most is that the game is balanced and fair, because if it isn't then it's even more difficult for the players in each game to have fun.

I understand that people aren't exactly giving full explanations and fleshing their arguments out, but seriously, think about this for a second.
{{item:3157}} has a 120 second(2 minute) cooldown.
{{item:3026}} has a 300 second(5 minute) cooldown.
{{item:3147}} has a 90 second( 1 and a half minute) cooldown.
That's just comparing the cooldowns on these items, that isn't even comparing the purpose or roles that these items play in-game. Do you **REALLY **want me to continue?

Yes to both of those. You can't fight those bots forever though. Typically fighting them means your TT mmr is low enough for you to be placed against them. The TT community is small, but we're not quite dead yet and after a few games against those bots, you shouldn't have to face them again, even way early in the morning.
Not going to bring up how to abuse it effectively because the last time someone brought it up TT got active with people who were there for the wrong reasons.

You need to learn to have self control on your own which requires for you to stop and think about what you're doing. Insulting people online is different than having a quick tongue irl. You have to type it out in-game and that takes a little bit of time, starting from the moment you decide to flame someone to the point where you begin moving your hands into a typing position.
The only way you'll gain true self control is not by exerting your frustration elsewhere in some sort of way you vent, but learning to take your time and think first before you act. Think about what you're doing and stop yourself of your own free will.
Doing this will heavily improve your gameplay regardless of whether you're at the point that you're about to flame or not, and it'll further improve how you play when you'd get to a point where you'd normally start throwing insults around. When you starting insulting others, often times your own mind shuts down completely, and if you think that your team mate is making silly plays beforehand, then it's only going to get worse as even if they ignore or mute you, their mind has also shut down, even a little bit.

Toxicity is definitely rising, I don't think there's any doubt about it, but the cause is very speculative. I've seen various people on these boards suggest that different updates caused it but honestly, it's just the players and Riot themselves who choose to promote it.
The whole honor and reform system has been a complete joke and while the statistics on it might make it seem like toxicity is decreasing, in reality it's just getting worse. All the statistics really say is less players are getting punished because toxic players are getting away with more and more.

> Just makes female gamers look like a joke.
> Honestly just take qualified female players and put them on regular teams like you would anyone else.
> Separating teams by gender is a joke. Judge players by skill, not what's in their pants.
This.
Let the few girls that are skilled in the higher tiers work their way into regular teams like anyone else would.
Besides that, the whole female only team sends really mixed messages. It's like saying "Oh, we don't have women that are good enough to get on the regular teams, so we just made an all girls team" or "Women and men aren't equal." Having mixed teams sends a better message and shows that there are no gender inequalities, just that clearly more men play this game than women and that's okay.

People honestly need to take more breaks.
Studies have shown that when you reach the breaking point and you're about to dissolve into mediocrity because people have been flaming, insulting and throwing hissy fits at you, that it takes at minimum 20 minutes for you to move past it.

I feel like we need more of #5. Getting Rank 5 honor takes such a long time and for what?
I almost never talk in-game, I don't spam pings or emotes, and the few times I open my mouth to take in-game, it's almost always something short such as "gj" or "u2" or thx" since I don't really believe in talking much in-game at all. I have never received a punishment on any account either.
More of #3 would be nice as well. In general I'd like to see a more sterner stance on punishments and moderation. I'm tired of seeing some of the same people spewing hate in my games repeatedly for months on end with them never receiving punishments.

PD is only a small power spike compared to PD+IE though. PD is a lot of dueling power, but if you're ahead far enough it shouldn't be that bad.
Don't play around your own minions, he excels at that and it lets him get conqueror up before engaging. Try to make him e you, that puts a cd on when he can next use his e on you and also means that he has to throw his q instead of eq'ing you for his ult. You really want to dodge those tornado's because after his ult he can rip right through you.
And when I say end early, I mean end early. 20-25 minute games maximum.
|
|||||
![]()
Always ban Yas in Gold or below. People in those leagues don't know how to end games quickly enough, SO even if you do best him in lane, the game will likely drag on long enough that he'll reach his power spike.
A PD alone, much less a PD+IE is basically enough to let him auto down your squishies and split push hard and overall be a general nuisance and that's not accounting for actual mechanics.

>
> 1) you're about to engage, and you have reliable engage that you can time with the ult well (AoE cc ults, like Malph ult).
> 2) you can use a window of power that the enemy can't stop. Using Taric ult near when Baron is dying, for instance, keeps the enemy team from being able to contest as easily.
>
> You can occasionally save someone with it if you get enough warning, but that's not really what makes it strong. That's sort of a desperation use and is usually less effective in my experience.
I dunno, seems pretty niche. With damage as high as it currently is, I doubt it'd get much use. Besides that, for the first scenario you'd have to have engage, and guess what Taric doesn't have? Supports are one of the typical positions in the pros that hold the engage. That digs into your top and jungle picks.
Pro teams clearly think the same, otherwise they'd be using it.

>
> I'm a little surprised that it hasn't made him a consistent pick in pro.
There is a slight delay before it's active though, which is pretty fair I suppose, but I imagine that's what makes the pros uninterested in it. Getting an entire team or 3-4 members clumped up together for a Taric ult sounds like you're asking for some quick aoe damage.

Just means you're not too heavy to be carried or that the enemy team really is that bad.
If you're feeding your brains out or even if you're around even, the best you can do is fine the best person on your team and assist them however possible. You'd want them to get bigger, and if possible you'd want to grab assists off of them and try to get big yourself.
|
|||||
![]()
It does feel bad, but if you're playing to rank up, you have to fight that feeling.
It's called the hero complex, where you feel as if you must be the hero of each and every game, where you have to get fed and get carried. With a mind set like that you'll end up making risky plays, that could be straight up suicides and often times, greeding for cs, buffs, and assistance that should go to someone else who's doing better or is more likely to do better.
It's natural to want to do good and carry the game, it's natural to think that the chances of your victory are none if you don't personally carry the game.

> This was always my biggest struggle on smurfs or normals with low elo players is they would cannibalize leads. Everyone wanted to be a carry even if they got dunked in lane, so they'd steal resources from the player playing well to make their score look better at the cost of the team. It's like how drowning victims reach up on the life raft and just end up tipping it over. I remember I actually got a headache from frustration in a particular game where all my lanes lost but I was fed as twitch jg. I could have carried but my losing lanes legit went into jungle and cleared the entire thing top to bottom... and suddenly... I was behind just like that, because it's not like I could invade with my team behind. But thats kinda a theme of low elos, people aren't trying to win, they're trying to feel better about themselves losing :X
It's not like people don't statpad in higher elos too though. The difference is they actually know they're doing it and they just don't care.
That's just a low elo thing though. Allowing yourself to be carried is a skill.

Welcome to top lane.
It's why you see a lot of top lane one tricks because it's easier to master one champion to the point where you know how to deal with counters effectively with off-meta builds and/or rune page setups compared to simply having proficiency with a broad range of champions and understanding that some games you're just ruined.

Yeah, you can't do much about it. You have to take advantage of the Sion inting. Take dragons, push other lanes, and so forth. Best thing you could do is leave Sion to somebody else, so that you can roam instead.

I feel like you're using the wrong examples.
Think about some of our reworks. A lot of them are really fun champions to play, in fact so are a lot of the new releases. Even if you end up feeding your rear end off, they're a lot of fun. Their mechanics are smooth, whether you're playing them from the top of the skill cap or the bottom.
Of course this combined with the hatred of point and click really gives us a lot of issues here.

I know that, and it's Riot's fault for not just letting all champions be playable for the mode, but I also don't think there's that many ARAM accounts.
