: Riot... The promised Zilean skin... When? 1 Month left...
Well given that Pulsefire Thresh has just been barely revealed, and also given that skins usually come in sets - my bet is on a Pulsefire Zilean. It also fits him ABSURDLY WELL since it's time themed.

: Don't blame urf for dropoff, many of my friends quit due to FOMO burnout
I would agree, these event passes this year have been completely burning me out, and I was pretty upset Riot nearly hit us with them back-to-back-to-back-to-back. Like there was almost no down time in between. This wasn't even like a phone game where you can play for like 30 min to 1 hour a day and get what you need daily from the event - NNOOOOOOOOO. These events DEMAND you invest hours and hours and hours and hours of gameplay into them to earn peanuts so you can GET THE CONTENT YOU'VE ALREADY PAID FOR. It's shitty that you have to work so hard AFTER paying into it, and you might not even get the skin that's the prize. At that point, why the fuck even bother with the event pass? Just buy the normal version of the skin for less and call it a day.
: Christmas 2019!
Uhm, your list is questionable. Sennais just about to launch, she's getting a True Damage skin to boot. It would be absurd to be requesting a skin for her already, so close to her release. Lucian just got a skin like 3 months ago - Demacia Vice. Ashe literally just got a skin - High Noon Ashe, it's legendary to boot. Morgana also just got a skin - Jade Empress Morgana or whatever it's called.

I think the Targonian Aspects already represent celestial bodies and such, and have a star-heavy theme, so I'm not sure how suited they would be for an astrological theme since it overlaps a lot of their standard themes pretty heavily.

Yes I quite agree agree to this. There really arrent going to be anymore events this year either unless there is onr for Christmas or true damage. But you cant rule out the possibility
I unfortunately think we can. Worlds stuff ends on the 18th, which is on the tail of the True Damage stuff releasing. The patch with Pulsefire should be dropping after that, which finishes off November. The last two weeks of November will be quiet since Riot takes off for Thanksgiving around that time. The first couple of weeks of December are reserved for the production of the holiday skins, which Riot releases around mid-December when they leave for winter breaks. So there's not really any room for non-holiday skin lines this year :/

I don't think you quite understand a leak. And also, Senna and True Damage are slated to release in like 5 days, so they're in the client already so they can go live when they're ready. That happens all the time when patching in upcoming content.

: Or it just speaks a lot about your level of play frequency/experience, and willingness to go outside of suggested metas. Zyra: You almost exclusively play Rylai's/Liandry's, even though some comps they are not the right fit at all. Morgana: You always rush Morello/Liandry's, and score sub-optimal scores for Gold IV/Silver I 20-36% Kill participation per game on a Zyra o.O You almost never outdamage your teams either.... on two champs who do that systematically. Before it's nerfed, go play a game buying Shurelya/Lich Bane etc on a Jungling Zyra. I don't care if you do it on norms. Do it. Compare your ability to react to situations compared to your Rylai/Liandra's build, as well as your damage. You will DOUBLE your team's damage, and you will die 1/2 as much.

: 1) It already has the Mana regen 2) Have you ever even looked at enchanter HP/S? It's literally fractions of 1 per 5 seconds. The best enchanters in the game only gain about 1 per 5 seconds from a 100% increase. It's NOTHING. The 5% Move speed is HUGE The 40 AP outscales the Heal power, and helps offensively as well as healing.
I think the fact that I don't exactly know what stats this item has and I'm a support main speaks volumes of it's current usefulness. It's pretty forgettable, and I see enchanters preferring to spend their money on Twin Shadows for the move speed and slow ghosts and AP instead of this. If they need heals and MP/S, they prefer Ardent Censor, _which also grants MS._ So whining about the loss of movement speed on an item nobody builds, that's EASILY replaced by the other AP MS items that enchanters do build isn't a particularly strong argument. The AP MS niche is filled already by two enchanter items. I see absolutely no problem with shifting Shurelya out of that already filled niche and into the one with Redemption.

: Forgotten Champions: Which champions have you not seen in months?
: Yeah I know I've seen it. But it's more the actions not the words.
How do you flame someone in game with your actions?
: That's not a qualifying counter-argument, since the AP and mobility gives more functionality. Furthermore, there was no reason it had to crowd out Twin Shadows or Ardent.. I bought all three MANY times, for stacking movement speed. You're basically trying to argue that 10% Heal Power is worth more than 40 AP and movement speed, even though on mosty enchanters, that 40 AP gives higher heals than the 10%
No, I'm arguing that the 10% Heal Power AND the restorative stats are worth more than the 40 AP and movement speed. Enchanters generally don't need movement speed, and they generally don't even need offensive stats, since most of them hover behind use their utility spells. Having more HP/S and more MP/S is much better for them than offensive stats.
: Yeah but they got 2 in a year and that's still treason
So did Jhin and Vi, yet for some reason people keep forgetting about them.
: Justify the comment.
I'll justify it for you then. Old Shurelya's was AP and HP, and it was choked out by items like Twin Shadows and Ardent Censor. New Shurelya's is HP and recovery stats, with shielding increases. It's main competitor is Redemption now, and running them both in tandem will be fantastic.
: Severity of Punishments, Especially near Season End
Why would Riot take your past into account when you know the rules and how not to break them? If you break the rules, you get punished - everyone knows this. If you get punished, you get to Honor 0, and thus forfeit your end of season rewards. Everyone has known this since last year. So in short, you know the rules, you knows what happens when you break them. So why break the rules to begin with? Just because you've gone all season without breaking the rules doesn't mean you should softly punished because you break the rules at the end of the season. If I steal a car on December 23rd, and go to prison for 15 days, I will miss Christmas. Don't do stupid things period, but especially don't do stupid things just before a specific time where you'll be wanting something.

Sure, you have to buy them at random, but they're fully fleshed out and complete with their own VFX, SFX, and animations. They're also not forcing them on anyone, since you can use the stock River Sprite. Eternals, meanwhile, are getting their own place built into the HUD, and they're also getting built into the Death Recap. So while they're just superficial shit, Riot's going through a lot of weird efforts to insert them into the game even if you are repulsed by the idea of them.
: They probably have walls of lore texts kept in there for an opportunity for a "bigger release" A reminder that the Darkin retcon was done 2 years before its official release with Aatrox and the Udyr/Voli story was written 5 years ago...
You are assuming that the stories weren't edited when the retcons happened though. Aatrox's story could have easily been under the premise of the Varus-era Darkin.
: Eternals?

: Thought so. So OP's asking for nerfs to a champion that's **not even in an environment suitable for testing strength**. Whelp. That's the boards for you.
I'd bank on the OP being a troll, considering he's proposing that she'll reach nearly a 100% ban rate.
: So about Pulsefire Thresh
I'm more questioning why he's Pulsefire and not Praetorian after they deliberately went through the efforts to create these mecha Time Splitters that were consuming timelines because of the meddling.
: Recently picked up Miss Fortune (just because I got her Gun Goddess skin in a chest for free) and I gotta say, I always play her with PTA anyway, so I won't really miss it here. Ezreal will be problematic, tho. Kleptomancy is his only viable keystone and the only one that really fit his playstyle. There is nothing else that he can really use efficiently, so I hope they will compensate him properly when they are removing klepto.... Actually kinda weird that they are removing it, they announced that they want to retune it to give more sustain via potions and remove the bonus gold from it to make it a rune for surviving laning phase instead of fastening your scaling? What happened to that, why are they replacing it with this new (and absoluely weird... is any champion actually going to use this keystone?) thing called omnistone?
I'm pretty certain Ezreal will make off fine without it. He can easily proc Electrocute with an Auto-W-Q combo, and can also utilize Dark Harvest pretty well since it can help him with his bursting. To claim that Ezreal, the problem child who breaks things so that other people can't have them, is going to be left wanting because his rune is taken away from him, is laughable.
: Stupid transcendence Nerf in URF
Transcendence was far from the lynchpin in URF builds. I think you're overblowing it's power level, as champions are perfectly capable of getting along fine without it.
: Urgot
Urgot is not busted. He can only really shred turrets if he's a little fed, because his W does decreased damage to compensate for the speedy rate of fire. He is tough to kill sometimes, yes, but he is a juggernaut, so that's understandable. He's got a low range though, so he should be somewhat easy to kite, though not as easy as a melee like Darius.
: Senna is a support who is partly an ADC. While she can be played as an ADC, that is not her intended role, and they will nerf her to stay a support if her ADC side gets too strong. There's also this: https://i.imgur.com/5xsaoAn.jpg[] And this: https://i.imgur.com/vFt6NAu.png[] All that being said, Aphelios is likely the marksman after Senna, and it looks like they will in fact be a Lunari. As for why they are a marksman, I think its more to get a marksman who is actually intended to be played in a damage role again. Its been well over a year since we got Kai'Sa, after all, and Targon is lacking a marksman champion. Thus, Targon marksman right after Senna. I wish they had put the Ionian Juggernaut first, just to space things out a little, but if they want to tie in Aphelios with Diana's rework, then I can see why they're doing them first.
Senna is a support who is partly a marksman. This doesn't necessarily mean she's a carry though, even if she can be forced into the role. Second, we've got no confirmation that the Lunari marksman is named Aphelios. It would be super weird if they were named that, considering the word "Helios" in the name, which is "sun." Lastly, we've gotten no confirmation of a Diana rework.

They're newly created for the mode, they at current don't have masters that we know of.

: Kennen has been a problem for years. A real problem at that, not a silver-gold problem. Every time kennen is viable top he is overbearing. Something voli/old morde never were. They never affected high elo in any way. And even if they tried, there was distinct counterplay to them. (now I am talking about OLD morde aka pre season 4-5 when they tried to make him a botlaner)
I was mostly discussing the OP's interpretation on what "far less offensive champions" are. To me, the last few VGUs like Irelia, Akali, Nunu, Galio, Swain, Mordekaiser, Pantheon, and so forth have all been very problematic champions in their own way that deeply required them to be modernized, more so than Kennen at the time of their VGUs. Sure, I know Kennen looks like shit, but his kit and appearance wasn't even on the scale compared to the last 2-3 years of VGUs. He's been able to narrowly walk the line between needing one and making do until later.
: Literally only Yuumi Shaco and Zed are top tier on that list. The rest are just okay. I'll give you the real list: {{champion:164}} {{champion:498}} {{champion:350}} {{champion:429}} {{champion:105}} {{champion:35}} {{champion:29}} {{champion:114}} {{champion:238}} {{champion:3}} {{champion:8}} Honorable mentons/runner-ups: {{champion:91}} {{champion:57}} {{champion:28}} {{champion:81}} {{champion:62}}
Camille is hot garbage in this game mode. Nothing in her kit is particularly oppressive in URF because she's not got the tools to actually survive when she gets in range of opponents. She's mediocre at best, but she doesn't have enough spammably castable skills to be one of the true issues. Not gonna lie though, I do play Yuumi when I need to get my First Win and don't feel like struggling through a lot of games.

PER dragon is a lot of power to be given free at the 10 min mark of the game. add baron on top of that then its pretty ridiculous. the objectives are turning 100% the games in to 10 min laning phase followed by a stomp and forced end at 20 or ff after dragon goes down. this is anti fun when the game is so heavily dictated from one objective at the 10 min mark. and this makes the mode a far cry of what urf used to me when they first released it. when you consider before elder was added to urf there was at least a chance for some of the games to make it past 30 min and to have to have some back and fourth fights on longer games. those were always the more fun games at least for me even if i lost.. **the dragon is also warping the picks massively** and limiting them a lot. as you need to pick strong laners so you can contest dragon when it comes up..people would be more willing to pick more weak lane champs/for fun picks. if the mode was a little longer or if they dident have to worry about contesting dragon or getting stomped so hard immediately once the other team gets an elder. the pick warping from the short forced snowball games and dragon is causing a lot people to complain about urf vs arurf. which riot will use that to only do arurf from now on or worse not bring it back at all.. in the PBE people were telling riot that elder dragon was a problem and was anti fun and snowballing the games to hard..riot knew this but did not care. **the forced objective interactions over op objective is basically encouraging people to more competitive/aka tryhards rather then to just have fun.**
The dragon is strong, yes, but it's simply more win, it's not the actual cause. URF mode has ALWAYS developed a meta super quickly, and the tryhards stick to that meta to crank out wins and curbstomp opponents. This mode is notorious for having be-this-or-lose gameplay, which is exactly why Riot swapped it over to ARURF for a long time. So the dragon isn't the problem, even though it is _a_ problem. It's just exacerbating an already terrible problem, like getting stabbed in the lung after you just got stabbed in the heart.
: elder buff is too strong and transcendence nerf fucked up champs which aren't considered op and really benefited from it
Yes, but no. URF has always evolved a meta of the most OP super quickly, and the tryhards do nothing but spam that meta. That's why it was swapped to ARURF, to prevent people from subjugating it to a be-this-or-lose meta. The dragon is just more win on top of that, but it's not the cause of the problem.

It should wait for the mid-season portion of the next season. You can still use your points for non-prestige skin things, so there's that. Is there a single reason that these points that you have to pay money for that unlock specific skin chromas that are mostly only available during a certain event should expire? At the very minimum a prestige skin costs 40$ and a lot of your time buying 4 seperate event passes. Riot gave us 25 for the anniversary, something they may not ever do again and they're going to expire anyway. If you end up getting these skins without an event in progress, you bought 100$ worth of masterwork chests. This is essentially 40-100$ worth of content that you have to save up for. Now I know for a whale with a ridiculous amount of money that's no issue. And I know for Riot, they probably want people to have to spend every year so they can milk out more money. But for the players, the peole investing money for these points, what reason could their possibly be to actually WANT them to expire?
Prestige Points have been an absolute shit show since their conception. It was pulling teeth to even get them to concede to the modifications they did for event passes earlier this year, so it'll be tough to get them to budge here. They need to budge though, because consumers hate scummy business practices. Like Eternals.
: And...That's not really relevant to the discussion. OP's saying "far less offensive champions are put through the grinder first". This means we're talking about champions who have **been** reworked. Past tense. **Old** Akali was one of the only champions **previously** reworked that I'd say didn't need it more than Kennen does.
To be fair, Moody has a notoriously skewed sense of what "far less offensive champions" are. He's one of those that thinks that Volibear is perfect as is, and has railed against the mere notion that he's in the process of getting a VGU. He also believed that Old Mordekaiser was near perfect as well. I'm not sure his judgment on who's deserving or undeserving of VGUs is particularly strong.
: Don't forget this problem happens to paying customers too. If they're buying chests and such these are classed as a higher Rarity. If you're buying skins Riot expects 1820 RP for Magnificent Fate and Red Baron Corki. Even something I like such as Gentleman Cho'Gath is more a 1350 by today's standards. Its unfair pricing for someone new, you wouldn't want to spend your money on something so minimal compared to what else you can spend it on and you'd never want to roll it. "ITS FREE" isn't a valid defense of outdated pricing standards because this is something that's been premium content since the launch of the game and has a price attached to it. At least in theory Gentleman Cho and the Corki skins _should_ be brought up to standard when they get VGUs. The real hairiness comes when you look at Annie, Twisted Fate, and Tristana, who've all had fairly modern VGUs, yet Riot didn't update their ancient as hell legendary skins in that process. It took years of bitching and complaining about it for Riot to finally cave in with Galio's, which then carried over to Nunubot as well. It's a shame that Riot didn't respect it's customers enough to have automatically upgraded those skins without the community raising hell about it.

: not at all, he was probably consistently one of the most underrated champions and had enough gameplay to him besides his R that he was healthy, and had many OTPs in high elo new Mordekaiser is unworkable design that will never be good in high elo without being broken everywhere else
Old Mordekaiser had to hope that most players died at the keyboard or AFK'd, because he was pretty incapable of catching most champions who weren't tanks or juggernauts, and at that point, he wasn't going to be murdering them that easily. His kit was wonky as hell, and had gone through too much of a roller coaster with their attempt to make him an APC bot laner and subsequent reversions, so he was just not really in a good place.

I'm specifically talking about the fact that Riot has not closed off the opportunity that Victorious skins could become available again. > > You are not understanding this point. > > Championship Riven _specifically_ stated that it wouldn't be available again, so people purchased it at that point. Victorious skins _have never_ had that kind of statement made about them at all, ever. Since such a thing _has never_ been said regarding Victorious skins, you cannot assume they will forever and ever be locked in the past. > And even if we're talking about Championship Riven, _that skin was made available again_, despite the previous caveat. So that in and of itself is enough to break apart any argument about assumed unavailability. Riven had that because championship skins come back every year. LCS is a yearly event. We can't have another ranked 2015 season.
No, but you're conflating the Victorious skin with the year it's obtained. Nothing about the skins specifically ties it to a season. There's no year indicator or anything. It just happened to be a reward for that specific year. It's relevance to the year is about as relevant to the year in which I chose to buy the skin Arcade Sona - that is, there's no real correlation. The Victorious skins lose their significance in that regard, because people don't actually know what season they came out in. This means if you're playing Victorious Janna, it's not apparent at all what season you won her in, because she's in no way marked. It could have been 2011, 2012, 2013, really any year - if I have to go to a tertiary site to look up the significance of a Victorious skin, the specific season it was rewarded in is irrelevant because it's not immediately apparent. So the argument that they represent a season falls dead on it's face because it can't represent something if there's no real way for it to showcase it. So, we have Victorious skins that haven't been absolutely stated to never return, like Champ Riven was. Every Victorious skin is generically unmarked, meaning there's no actual tie to a specific year or season of it's release. Both of these things can be added up to allow for the skins to have the option of release in future years through some other means, like crafting token you get for getting to gold. Unless Riot comes out and explicitly states that they'll never ever re-release these skins, no argument you can produce will be able to uproot the hope of the possibility of a Victorious token that lets you pick previous skins.
: so am guessing no pool party skins this year huh ?
I mean, it's fall, headed into winter. That ship has long sailed past. But yes, it's been a thing now where they alternate major skin lines from year to year.

I got out of that shit _real fast_ after having to constantly hear hyperactive 12yos yell and scream and narrate the exact same game you're in with them, and people who yelled at their moms or others while on mic, and people who played music in the background, and just everything. Some people have no awareness for how horrible they can be on mic, and those people are exactly why live chat is always a shit show.
: That's cause its a lot harder to change in-game interactions than it is lore interactions. Lore interactions don't need voice actors that have to be auditioned, scheduled, tested, scrapped(if internal testing doesn't like them, see MF's scrapped voice update), and either redone and tested again or trashed indefinitely. With the lore, you can just write it and go, changing whatever you want with little to no work required to bring it to life. I'm sure they want to bring the lore into the game more with VO updates and such. Its just a pain in the ass to do that constantly.
To bring up an older game, DC Inifinite Crisis was a failed MOBA, but when they designed characters and implemented their VO, they actually had a schedule and design plan in mind when they made champions. So they go ahead and record VO and such for characters who haven't been designed or implemented yet, to have on hand for when those characters made it to the game. If League actually thought and planned things well ahead of time, instead of changing the lore literally at whim, they could have fully fleshed out dialogue ready for champions who don't even exist yet.

You spend currency to re-roll the characters to buy (very similar to a lootbox), which is gambling. By spending more, you trick yourself into thinking your chances of winning increase. Rather that gambling temptation stay out of video games.
