this good analysis, but to be fair garen's silence functions similarly. Once he Q's you, he's on top of you, so you cant retaliate while he spins all over you. Obviously it's different bc he has no gap closer so it's hard for him to get on you--he has to win by macro/vision, or by enemy mistakes, but it still feels just as shit. When he does land his silence, you cant do anything until it wears off. silence is a crap outdated mechanic that needs to be removed. It only exists on immobile champs now , and it makes them weaker and boring bc all their power budget is tied up in the silence.

Ever tried playing a tank with bronze players? Low ELO doesn't play around their tanks so it's worthless to play tanks until mid-high plat.

Even if ur stomping Akali it still feels AWFUL to play against her because of how many options she has; try an immobile champ against Akali and you might as well play PvE and inflate your CS because you will never catch her. i feel bad for her mains; ive had multiple mains reworked that i dont play any more bc of how the rework destroyed them. But this iteration of akali is crap, u hit it on the head, the way she is now, shes impossible to balance. She's too mobile and has too many options. : ITbh i think it has to do a lot with autofill and how the game is changing too fast. Autofill has always existed, even without role queue. Back when we didn't have role queue you were required to learn how to play every role and as a ADC main i would just learn maybe 2 champions in each role just in case but majority of my time would go towards learning marksmen and their matchups. In fact most of the champions i play still today came from that time i was learning more champions to be useful in other roles. But what's the problem? Every role (specially jungle) changes way too often. One patch your comfort picks are decent then Riot does one of the balance patches and your comfort picks in another role now perform worse in some match ups or have to change their build now to adapt to changes and it's simply to much to keep up for most players (Even high elo players can't keep up with learning new information in their main role and then on every other role) this is why you feel the difference in teammates is too big sometimes. It isn't necessarily their skill level as players, but the how the knowledge they used to rely on isn't relevant anymore. Staying competitive in LoL is hard and the fact that the game changes so much makes it even harder. I don't even bother to learn the jungle anymore, it changes every month anyways so i just dodge whenever i get it. I can handle myself in mid but i only play one champion there comfortably and in top lane i can play more but then i get destroyed by ranged top laners because i don't have the necessary experience to deal with them. I'm good at support because i play ADC so i understand how supporting and their match ups work.

their mechanical' skill, i.e. prowess in a 1v1 is not much different but the macro play is a vast gap. bronze/silvers will waste a minute chasing 1 kill when they could have gotten 2 towers in that given situation. they will throw games far more recklessly and toss away so many chances to come back just because they are behind and personally feel like they lost their lane so the game is over. yeah, in a removed enrionment 1v1, silver vs low diamond isnt that much different. But the game has way more going on than that

: I'm not sure how you arrive at me saying "I'm sorry, we didn't think about it" when I articulated how we had multiple conversations about the toggle. Just to repeat: we had many conversations about it and multiple meetings about it, and we decided in the end that even though we did not have the time/resources to ship with a toggle, we wanted to get finishers and spawn ceremonies into the competition. It was either ship without a toggle or don't ship it at all, and we felt that bringing them to the competition was better despite not having a toggle than not shipping them at all.

you sounds like a salty AD player the passives dont even compare; banshees passive is mostly worthless unless ur camping as a mage way behind your back line to fend of a LB all in or the like. GA is always effective regardless of positioning; at the very least it buys your team time, while the enemy team scrambles to stay alive vs. your remaining allies and finish you off again. now you might say, well banshee's gives more flat resist; let's also remember that many AD champs that buy GA have at least 1 lifesteal item, so the armor on it ends up being way more effective than 60 or 70 mr soaking up a little bit extra damage. Banshee's also feels like shit to build on an AP carry bc of how much is reduces your damage; ypoud normally want to go {{item:3285}} or{{item:3003}} , into eventually {{item:3089}} {{item:3135}} . Banshees at 3000g slows your build down drastically. Unless you are ahead and can afford to squeeze it in, it ruins AP champs' damages. the 20% cdr / void/dcap is the only way to max out dmg as AP, unless you can abuse {{item:3907}} ; meanwhile ADs get defensive huge dmg item like {{item:3812}} . Or multiplicative stats as marksmen get. not to mention GA is much cheaper than banshee's. this is disgusting how mods delete posts for "lack of discussion and relevant points", yet you throw out an opinion with zero argument and its upvoted. No shit why people despise mods. double standard

You know why? I watched a lot of the playoffs across regions, and no doubt, Thomas Kench was integral to many of the teams' victories. In pro-play, it was basically {{champion:201}} {{champion:223}} , the supports that protect and enable their ADCs. In solo q, it's fucking {{champion:63}} {{champion:89}} {{champion:555}} {{champion:99}} , the champs that out damage their ADC for most of the game. Just another example of Riot balancing for the .01% and fucking over their playerbase. this gutting of TK is 100% because of pro-play. TK made it so that the very few times fights could be initiated, he shut them down. Love their shitty balance; they continually change the game to try to make pro games more explosive and exciting, and year after year, pros become more risk averse and the games are stale as fuck. meanwhile the actual game for 99% of their players is dogshit clown fiesta snowball burst fest bullshit seen games go for 30 minutes with less than 5 kills. boring

However, the reason for the removal appears to be that it was low effort/spam and didn't really do much for discussion. If I had made the removal, I would've redirected you to General Discussion, but I can understand the choice the moderator in question made. It didn't really provide much in the way of discussion which is something we are aiming to see more of on Gameplay versus just "upvote this" (excuse me, I mean "upvate") type threads. I can understand the frustration in seeing the removal though after it received much support. However, we don't judge removals based on votes or number of comments; we remove based on rules and guidelines for the Boards and the specific sub-board. EDIT: I'll add in that a good thread with plenty of substance for discussion such as mentioning why bans made ARAM a better experience and why you want it back would probably be allowed to stay and, given the support for the subject, will receive the same amount of support for Riot to see.

yeah I can relate to some of your points. I have this sneaking suspicion that the champs they give you aren't random at all. They have little codes and bullshit setup for it. For example {{champion:110}} {{champion:51}} {{champion:99}} are basically in all of my ARAM games (until the ban phase came through), while I see {{champion:83}} {{champion:131}} {{champion:20}} rarely, maybe every 10 games. and then the main indicator that shit is not random at all is this... I get {{champion:268}} , a champ i've never played once. I did incredibly well, like 15-3 or something, hard carried while the rest of my team was super heavy.......... next game, oh wow I got given {{champion:268}} again. No lie. And I played it again and did well again, but that's a 1/150 chance to get him next game, and to get him twice in a row when i haven't gotten him once in the last several hundred games ????? yeah. it's a fucking setup , they should make ARAM actually random and not try to tweak it with their "matchmaking" and algorithms. Disgusting that they even force picks in "all random", big brother big time

I miss the old runes, and Mastery because when I picked a tank support for my adc, I was able to take the damage for my adc to get the kills. Once this new rune system came to the game, and I picked a normal support tank. I died so fast that I thought there was a glitch with the champ I was playing. I even asked my team to report me for feeding because me, and my adc give double kills 3 times in under 10 mins of the game. I couldn't understand why the tank I picked was dieing so easy. Once I looked at the stats in the game. I notice every one started with no armor or MR. That's when I knew I could no longer play tanks. I had to pick a damage dealer in order to survive the first few mins of game play. The only champs that feel like tanks still when starting a match are {{champion:54}} {{champion:89}} {{champion:111}} The reason why I say these 3 are because there starting spells give them defensive stats at the start of the match. {{champion:201}} Does not count because his spell you wouldn't normally pick at level 1, and his defensive stats he gets from his W are a joke. The spell does not even last long to notice, and you normally use his w to engage or to escape, plus {{champion:89}} W last longer and you can feel the stats when you click it. Plus it does damage, but just like {{champion:201}} there stats from the W don't stay up like {{champion:54}}

Not only did the new rune reforged system add many layers of damage to every champ, but they got rid of that +9 armor / 15 MR that was the basic standard of the old system. So you have 2 different things working in the same direction and the effect is huge. All champs feel like paper while doing damage like fire. the only tanks that feel tanky have unique abilities that let them be unnaturally tanky independent of items ({{champion:31}} {{champion:14}} HP stax, {{champion:12}} 75% damage reduction ult)... Now we get the mini-runes, but they're not as strong. You could get +12 armor, but then still you get 0 mr and you miss out on 9 AD/AP. as simple as it sounds, removing that basic armor/mr fundamentally changed this game and the effects can be seen that matches are usually decided during laning phase, when lanes are decided off 1 kill. it really must have been a conscious decision by riot to remove those early resist, make games more explosive early on, but it really ruined the fun to be had in matches. Now most games are decided by 10 minutes, and over by 15-25. It feels uncommon for a game to go past 30 min, bc usually the nexus is dead or people are trying to /FF by 15-20 games just snowball out of control so quickly without some extra early defense, and because of all the scaling damage added via the runes reforge

The eyeball thing used to be the damage choice, while the other 2 were vision oriented. Now they just slapped all the same damage on all of them so now the vision one is better anyway.

that sucks man. I think u get really wildly random teammates because ur account is low level. So you have brand new smurfs that dont even have flash yet and decimate actual brand new players. and then the actual new players that are just terrible at the game bc they are new. but overall the matchmaking is fuk. So many times if you are doing well they intentionally pair you with terrible players against much better players to make you lose to maintain your "balanced" 50% winrate. that first screen shot is funny too, even back then, the guy saying "omg all please report" toxicity is the one thin g remaining constant in LoL. hve fun and find a new game. if this one is pissing you off it's just not worth playing any more. It can still be fun, but in a different way. IF you take LoL seriously as a competitve game, you will not have fun

I've seen time and time again, people want to to ff or they ragequit, legit stop playing the game for 10-15+ minutes, but because they move and inch and the fountain every now and then, so they never get the "you are afk" warning, they dont get punished. and then i got 10x 10min leaverbuster punishment bc their shit client crashed me and they remade right as i loaded into game. they need to make soft afks less punishing. and also if they wont look at it manually, at least detect if a player has been in the fountain area for more than 5-10 minutes and instantly punish them big

someone i know bought a fresh level 30 account because they got banned and didn't wanna 1-30 again. Which i totally understand. It was $20. My theory is there is a secret department at Riot Games that sells these botted accounts for extra money. They've demonstrated how all these really care about it money, buffing champs into broken tier right before a big skin launch, keeping new champs overpowered for multiple patches until many people have bought their skins etc. so i dont think its that farfetched

yeah they're scambags. i made it to plat 3 seasons in a row. i didnt play during the last season, so they throw me in low bronze regardless of going 10-0 in placements. Yeah no thanks im not gonna support riot's garbage "ranking" system. see some of my friendlist in plat, and whenver we play, they feed hardcore and i have to carry them, while they are ranked plat and i get shoved down into bronze and get massive feeders every game? yeah this crap is rigged to try to get people to play more

ur not alone i was plat in s4/5/6 back then i felt like i worked my ass off to even get to gold, and then it was a tough journey to get to plat. Strategic , from pick/ban thru the entire games. i didn't play ranked last season so i guess they reset my mmr, bc they placed in b4. I can basically choose a 1v5 champ {{champion:11}} {{champion:75}} {{champion:104}} or bash my head against a wall and get -LP bc of the matchmaking. It's so obvious at this point. ITs a coin flip. Not a "better team wins", rather, "which team gets the 0-10 feeder" decides the games lol.e the gutted strategy around when dynamic queue came into place, making the "strategy" about picking the most overpowered champions. dont get attachment to ranked. ARAM and SR are still fun, just dont pretened rank means anything lmao , unless ur good enough to get to like D2

could be the way the spell is coded. If you go frame by frame it looks like she began to cast her R when you WERE facing her. It should stun when the spell actually completes cast, but it seems like the stun might go through if u were facing her during the cast ? this is one of those spell you can flash after to extend the range, like Ali Q, so works in some weird ways i guess
