I'm quite convinced that Woodland units are good early, but not good late. Their scaling is fine for tier 1 units, but they can't compete with tier 3 or 4 lategame, and their 40HP per second is HUGE early but TINY late. I like your Ivern idea, but I think Mao is fine where he's at.

But with a more prominent role now than before via the Cloud/hexes, definitely agreed on the need for a tooltip for this in a future update.
There's not a base dodge that's increased by 20%, it's just adding a flat 20% dodge chance. Everyone starts with 0% dodge chance. If they gain +20% dodge chance, that means when someone autos them, they have a 20% chance to dodge it. If they're standing on a wind hex and have {{item:3025}} {{item:3025}} equipped, they have a total of 60% dodge chance, simply meaning that autos have a 60% chance of being dodged.

I don't know that this is a bug. Her effect isn't a simple on-hit effect, but applies only to the target she autos. {{item:3085}} essentially gives her a second auto, so we should expect them to interact differently.

The number of times I have been screwed over and also screwed someone else over because we were both going for the same strat is way too high, so I agree with the OP. I have 4 Shadow, fighting someone with 4 Shadow, and neither one of us can get a single gold because we're rolling for the same champs. It's too late for either of us to switch strats, so we got 6th-7th. Compare that with other games where I run the same strat alone, and I get 1st?? That disparity shows how crippling it is to have even just one other person share your comp. What makes it worse is that the different elements give extra incentive for people to build that type, mostly due to Qiana. If it's fire, 3-4 people run 6 Inferno and 1 assassin, and they all die with silvers and bronzes. Mountain pops up, and everyone runs Tal + Qiana for the early bonus, and no one can upgrade their units. If only 1 person is left to this strat, they dominate strongly and place in the top 2. The main problem I see is the vast improvement from bronze to silver to gold. If you don't invest in your build, you will surely die, but if you DO invest in your build, you can no longer adapt to what other people are building, and leave yourself open to counters.

Most of these comments don't address the actual issue: Assassins have a gigantic, easily obtainable counter in {{item:3046}} , and there's no counterplay as assassins. Abilities, magic damage, and Olaf are other options besides assassins, which is making my point all the more: NOT going assassins is the only way to avoid being shut down hard. That's a lame mechanic, and is easily fixable by adding back in the assured hit on {{item:3094}} .

You add the percentages, so 20+30+20 = %70 dodge chance. It's a shame there's no tooltip for it (yet), because it'd be very useful.

There's still some RNG, but it's more regularized, and you rarely have games with 6 items against 10 like before.

If you DC and reconnect during a minion round, always manually walk through every hex on the board and also around the outside. You can't see the dropped boxes, but they will release their contents if you walk over them.
