: i did the na network logs and sent a ticket. and wrote on here. is anyone working with at&t to fix this?
Thanks for submitting your info! Yes, AT&T is on our watchlist and we are looking to get them onto our network. We have an agreement, so it's just a matter of installation work being completed. We estimate a few weeks!
SKL Edge (NA)
: "Live" Clinic? All you guys have said is fill in your Log Gathering Tool. No fixes, and no replies to some of us that know what the problem is, have known for 2 weeks, have sent you what the problems are and have not heard anything back. You guys have not responded to ANY Canadian threads. I've seen RiotAhab respond on Twitter to someone asking about allergies in regards to the servers, but not a single one to people who have actual problems. Either please respond or honestly I will probably be quitting this game. I'm not playing a game where the developer has no interest in helping fix problems that are easy to fix, and also lieing to us saying "SK will stay the same with the move", and instead the ping doubling. The fact that this server move has caused this many issues shows that you should have put maybe a bit more time into researching what these ISP's would do, rather than having one test day, and moving it 2 weeks later. Its rather frustrating seeing so many people complain when you guys could have a) fixed these issues and left the servers in status quo until almost all issues were resolved, or b) MAKE 2 SERVERS. NA Community? Give us east and west coast servers. I'd rather have all of NA play on <60 ping that have all play near or around 40-80 than have the ability to play with someone in New York or Florida.
We're updating the Change Log and watch list at the top of the post.
: Location: Calgary, Alberta ISP: Shaw Old Ping: 47-80 New Ping: 125-600 The game has literally become unplayable. If this isn't resolved soon, I'm gonna have to find a new game to play.....
Hi, Obsidian! We're currently looking into issues with Shaw (check out our watchlist at the top of the post). Hold tight--our tech guys are looking into it! Also, did you submit your info through the tool above? It's super key to us fixing issues like yours.
: So I'm pretty aware that Technical Support is trying to fix the ping and packet loss issue that players are currently having. Some ISP's are not peered with you and I was wondering what does that mean exactly for our connection to your servers. I just want a little more in-depth on the issue your having and how I can help to resolve this issue. I am currently using Windstream ISP and noticed that my packet loss and ping has greatly increased. By Geographical difference between the old server and new server move, I expected my ping to drop significantly but instead it increased from 30ms - 70ms almost making League of Legends unenjoyable and impossible to play. I understand that not everything works as expected and takes time to fix which is completely understandable, But why haven't you peered with more ISP's before you made the server change, I just don't understand. I have submitted my results with the Chicago Log Gathering Tool to help you guys the best way I can. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope for a reply from you guys anytime. Thank you and good-luck.
Thanks so much for submitting your info through the tool, Dragon. That's exactly the info we need to fix routing issues more efficiently. :) We've promised the Chicago server move for a long time now, so we wanted to go live once it was ready, PoPs around NA were live, and a significant number of peering agreements were finished. It would've been awesome if every ISP was peered with us before we went live, but that could take a long time (peering agreements and the installation that sometimes needs to follow can takes months to finalize). With this move, hopefully even more ISPs will peer with us--perhaps even reach out to us to peer if we've tried to contact them without a response until now!

Hi, Ninja! Did you submit your info through our Chicago Log Gathering Tool above? We're peered with Comcast (https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/204246204-NA-Server-Roadmap#h3). Where do you live? And are you on wifi or hardwired in?
Mistral (NA)
: I will fill out a support ticket but our ping has gone up to 120+ since we got the message about the server change. We have frontier communications. Live in Oregon
That seems much higher than expected, especially since we'er peered with Frontier. Are you hardwired in?
1caiser (NA)
: La Jolla, CA AT&T U-verse Old ping: 60-87ms New ping: 87-104 ms Egh. Not as bad as others, but I still don't like my ping higher than 90.
: NA Server Roadmap Update: Chicago Server Move Complete
Hi, guys! Don't forget to submit your connection info to us through our [Chicago Connection Clinic Megathread](http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/help-support/PZclbVoE-chicago-connection-clinic-megathread). Our tech experts will be monitoring it all week (through Sunday) and providing updates as they tackle routing issues.
: I'll be waiting for you in that chat room. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Haha nice! Once Chicago is live and things have settled down, we'll be on. You going to get this Chicago1 group going and make it a thing? :D
: Add time warner to your isps please
We are partnered with TWC: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/204246204-NA-Server-Roadmap#h3
Wuks (NA)
: Hey AlpacauaLunch, If your ping is above the 80ms threshold tomorrow, hop into the megathread, and Rioters will do their best to get your ping as close to the threshold as possible.

Just to clarify, the live support/clinic megathread won't be live until tomorrow when Chicago is complete!
: Do the Riot employees that work at the main base have to relocate too or is there some kind of system going for them that cant move.
Our headquarters are staying right here in LA.
Waage (NA)
: will Normal games change server location too?
Yup, all queues will be on Chicago once the migration ends.
: Referring to the Party IP bonuses. I understand it's a team game and you want to promote team play, but can solo players have something? Are we just not going to have regular IP weekends anymore?
We wanted to get people to play with their friends, so we opted for Party IP instead of Double IP. To help you get 5 people together, try the [Team Recruitment ](http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/team-recruitment)board or try the LFG chat rooms. Can I suggest creating a Chicago1 chat room? PM me and I'll join it with you some time this week.
: What was the IP we can ping to test it again??
Since the server move is tomorrow, your best bet is to wait until Chicago goes live. If you're seeing any issues, submit you info to us through the log gathering tool (we'll have it in our clinic megathread we'll set live tomorrow). We're trying to gather as much player connection info as we can so we can fix routing issues even more efficiently.
Bludgrum (NA)
: Can you clarify on the Time Warner Cable "snag"? "Time Warner Cable (We've hit a snag and are currently working through logistics. More updates to follow!)" I am just wanting to know if this is a massive delay or a minor issue. ETA if possible...
We've already peered with TWC, but turned up peering in Dallas on Saturday night, so Austin/Dallas/Waco/San Antonio should be better. South and North Carolina will be up in a month or so, but right now they're going through NYC.
: I have a smurf in the LAN server. If I want to transfer it back to NA, am I supposed to receive an transfer link in my e-mail or do I have to ask for one via LAN Riot Support system?
If you live in NA, you should see a free transfer in your account once Chicago goes live tomorrow. And you'll also get an email from us. If you don't see the free transfer a few hours after Chicago goes live, send a request via NA's ticket system.
Narshan (NA)
: I am currently playing in Canada and im confused as to if and how this will affect me. Will I have to transfer servers to get better ping or will this move to Chicago automatically enhance it for me?
If you're in Canada, you'll still be in NA. No need to transfer.
l337d09 (NA)
: How would I find out this kind of information? How do I know if I have unnecessary internet pathing .{{summoner:2}}
We'll have a log gathering tool ready for tomorrow where you can submit your info. We're hoping to gather massive amounts of ping info from tomorrow and through the weekend so we can fix routing issues.
Quality (NA)
: Question about at&t, if I'm pinging around 52-53 to the new server location, how much higher is it going to be in the actual game? Like is it still going to be in the 100s if I currently am getting 110-120?
It should be better in a few weeks since we haven't set up routing through AT&T yet.
: Too bad Bright House isnt on that ISP Peering that you guys have been talking about/talking about partnerships with providers.
We're building out construction that'll allow us to peer with Bright House. :)

I'm not level 1 and not an intern. I'm 30 and ranked (just hit gold :D).

: Can you please offer free transfers for Hawaii players from NA to OCE? I'm already at 100-150 ping and I don't really want to try playing in 200+ ping.
We're currently looking into potential solutions for Hawaii and Alaska. We're still collecting information on Hawaii and Alaska connections because we want to figure out a good solution. Check out [this post](http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/help-support/U0M1AVfO-na-server-roadmap-update-na-server-move-on-825?comment=0103) and Ahab's reply, too.

No problem! Let us know how your connection is once Chicago goes live!
: Preeti, he means he wants to move his account to LAN since his ping will get worse after the server move. In other words,he wants to know if there can be a way for the west coast players to get a free transfer to another server since their pings will increase.
Oh, sorry about that! Misunderstood. Right now, we aren't planning to offer players transfers from NA to LAN.
: Does it expire? I ask because I have an account on EUW and LAN as well as NA. I'm undecided to transfer my LAN account back or not.
We're still figuring out exact details for how long transfers will be open. They will expire, but they'll be available for at least a few weeks. Look out for the email next week (once Chicago is live), which will have exact timing info.
: Are you guys going to mention anything about Hawaii and Alaska? Its like you guys are avoiding talking about them completely. Anything to help them out after the move?
Hi, Onyx! Ahab commented on Alaska/Hawaii earlier. Here's a direct link to the comment he responded to: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/help-support/U0M1AVfO-na-server-roadmap-update-na-server-move-on-825?sort_type=best&comment=0103 TL;DR is that we're aware that it's going to be tougher for Alaska and Hawaii and we're currently working on a few different potential solutions.

: Will the IP party bonus stack with purchased boosts from the store?
Yes, I believe so. I don't have the specifics on me, so I'll ask Marowe to chime in. I think Marowe may have already responded to a similar comment.
jo123455 (EUNE)
: will the bonus ip be only on the Na server?
Some other regions are also running Party IP weekend in their regions. More info on that very soon. Which region are you in?
: You plan to give free transwer to other regions ?
Once the Chicago servers go live, we're offering free transfers to US/Canadian players who are playing in EUW/EUN/LAN/LAS. If you're in another region but live in NA, you can write a ticket to player support to request a free transfer.
: Hi Riot. I currently live in the West Coast and I already have bad ping... To know that you're moving the servers even further away is HEARTBREAKING. But in all seriousness, I have a suggestion. Maybe you can set up a feature in the game where you can choose which area of the region are live in? So if you live in the west coast, you can choose to play in the west coast servers. And if you live in the east coast, you can choose to use that server. I'm no internet expert and I don't know how this would work out, but please take it into consideration! RIP West Coast Ping :'(
What's your summoner name, ISP, and location? And are you on wifi?
: Hey! if you are level 30 and looking for a 5 man to play with during the ip boost friend me! my summoner name is: Gilgamesh150 I'm obviously NA server Btw I'm a mid laner who mains {{champion:126}}. Don't Mess with the defender of tomorrow
Great idea! We'd love to see people making friends, hitting up the chat LFG rooms or using the [Team Recruitment ](http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/team-recruitment)board to find friends for premades.
: Any update on the partnered ISPs that were currently in discussion at the time of the last post?
Our last update was earlier this month: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/help-support/ZwVkoboV-na-server-roadmap-update-chicago-here-we-come We'll put out a new ISP list soon, though. Was your ISP on that list?
: So wait, are there two NA servers now? Because I'm from Europe but play on NA mostly because a large amount of my friends are playing/living there, so I was wondering how exactly this will affect me in terms of servers, other than the possible reduced ping, is there a chance, if it really is two servers, that I'll get placed in NA-West and not NA-East?
There will just be one NA game server location, which will be in Chicago.
Dodgers (NA)
: prob a dumb question, but what is a weekend street test?
We just want to get lots of players onto the NA servers all at once to observe how well the new game servers handle peak traffic.
: Any word on cablevision/optimum?
We've peered with them! Check out our last peering update: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/help-support/ZwVkoboV-na-server-roadmap-update-chicago-here-we-come

: Party Ip is kinda unfair to solo players, isn't there another way for Everyone to have fun. At sometimes i believe this game Break friendships, when your friend feed and become toxic how can't you want to yell at him for being a ass this happened alot to me so i basicly rather play alone since its the only way i can actually play good
We know it's tough to find 4 people to play with to maximize Party IP rewards, but if you can make it work it's great for IP. You could try the chat rooms in the client to create friend groups or check out the [Team Recruitment](http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/team-recruitment) board.
: Just wondering, has Riot released any data from the Chicago test they did a while back? It would be interesting to see what the impact of the server change will be.
The test went really well. Stability and architecture looked good, so we're ready to move to Chicago next week! We haven't released any data other than that, though.
: So just out of curiosity, will non-Rift queues be migrated over the course of several hours as well? Or will they just be moved all at once due to their significantly smaller queues/ resource usage? It would be awesome if Dominion could get moved first. Just saying. ;)
All queues are moving at once, but we're just disabling ranked during the actual migration. :)
: And what if we want to play on LAN as some of us will have a better connection to that server than the home server?
If you have a free transfer available, you can choose not use it. It's optional. :)
: what if i made a whole new account on LAN because of ping ? Will i be able to request a transfer token ? i made a LAN account since i live in Miami (LAN server location).
That should be fine! As long as you live in the US/Canada, you will get a free transfer. Look out for an email from us once the server goes live (you'll also see the free transfer in the store).
: Just a question, but during the testing, I didn't notice any change in ping, while the guy that lives with me had his almost cut in half. How is that possible?
Were you in the same game? If not, it's possible that he was on a Chicago game and you were not. Only a small percentage of games were on Chicago, so you might have been on Portland. :)
: I have a situation that I think needs to be addressed regarding this server location change. As an East Coast player I transferred my account (through the RP transaction) from the North America server to Latin America North server to avoid the 210 ping I would get on NA. For people in my situation having transferred are we going to get free transfers to the North American server or are we stuck and will have to grind out a second account on North America?
Yes, we'll be offering free transfers from LAN to NA to players with a US/Canadian IP address. Look out for an email from us once Chicago goes live.
: I'm extremely glad that the move is happening within the next month. Thanks for communicating with us and making this work, Riot! Just one question: Are you partnered with Frontier (In IL) by any chance? If so, have you set up a good traffic line with the servers with them? If so, I'd be so happy because they're my ISP.
: Hey quetions if I may..? I didn't see EPB (Electric Power Board) which is in Chattanooga, TN on the list of internet service providers. Were they looked at, at all for talks? I was curious because that is who we get internet through and right now i'm getting 70-72 ping in Southeast Tennessee and I was looking to see how this might affect us here. So yeah, I was curious to see if there were any talks with that company or plans with them.

: Do you play LoL with your family?
My sister and I grew up playing console games together, so it's not surprising that we play a lot of League to stay in touch (she lives on the other side of the country). I main AD and she's a support main, so we go bot lane together. She's my favorite person to duo bot with (because she's a badass support and because of her positive attitude), especially when she plays an unconventional support, like Heimerdinger or Lissandra. I love playing with my sister.
