The champion classes aren't very accurate. You'll see 'Diver' be explained something along the lines of 'mobile fighter that can provide constant damage output', when in reality every Diver champion pretty much just plays like an assassin with a shield and/or stun on top.

I think they're giving up on that too, and the rework is just going to be making her better at doing that.

I'm actually mostly okay with the jungle exp changes. The junglers in my games are still meaningful, but I'm not getting ganked by a lv 3 Lee Sin when I'm just barely reaching lv 2 in midlane now, so that's nice. I would like to see Riot stop it with this ridiculous high damage burst meta. Getting hit with any CC move at all in the game is instant death right now. Unfortunately we're moving into year 3 of super burst meta so I think it's unlikely to change now.

I am going to have to respectfully disagree. Old rune system was incredibly boring. "Runes to play how you want?" But it was entirely boring passive stats. Sure they could edge you towards one playstyle or another - mainly in AP vs AD or scaling vs early game, and that was about it. And to get them you had to spend a whole ton of IP on rune pages and the runes themselves, and it was incredibly inflexible if you didn't have many rune pages already set up before you got into a game since you couldn't change anything in lobby. New runes are bold and exciting. I can look at different options and feel excited about my choices in ways that a passive +stats simply didn't do. Now, I agree that the new runes added WAY too much damage to the game, but I don't think that's an inherent problem with the new rune system. It's simply how Riot wants the game to be now; you can see this as most of the balance changes for 'weaker' champs end up being damage buffs.
: Why are we complaining about tanks? They are still in a weak spot and weaker as supports since the preseason. In top lane, there are only 3 tank champions in the top 20. One of them doesnt even build full tank... it builds mage hybrid. You cant really make tanks weaker than they already are. The only two tanks in the top 20 that you have to worry about are ornn and shen. The rest of the lane is still dominated by fighters, bruisers, and mages like it has been for the last 3-4 years. And that is getting old.
The tanks that are 'good' aren't going top lane, they're going mid and support instead and they're basically assassins with more HP. The rest of the tanks will join them once their base damage all gets buffed as well.

On top of that refering back to point 1 unlike the diminishing gold you are worth your lane is huge now getting full gold for killing all the other winning lanes your team had while you sit under turret poorly afk farming pretending you will "catch up". sitting under your turret will never result in a comeback....should be common sense..... 3) at least if you are pressuring and your lane still roams you are moving the ball forward for yourself and more importantly your team. Now while your lane is roaming you are taking turret plates, you are taking down turrets which helps your entire team and improves your chances to win, especially if your team turns around a fight now you are in position to make serious headway to ending the game pushing down your lane. If you are hiding behind your turret afk farming you are never EVER in position to do ANYTHING that can help your team win. So when you are losing your lane there are only two options to help your teams chances to win and neither involve with you the person who got dumpstered magically deciding after you got creamed that then you will play safe and let your lane roam (pro tip play safe to start with not after you lose hard). Option 1 is focus farm pushing lane and keeping pressure to prevent your lane from roaming to influence other lanes of your that might be winning and are your only hope to win the game. Option 2 is YOU ROAM, you lost your lane sitting in it behind your turret has ZERO hope of resulting in you catching up. So admit you lost and then say let me go see if I can roam make some plays and turn my other lanes into the snowballs that will win the game while the 3-0 that beat me down sits alone up top farming, and then later we win team fights. That is the proper strategy, not hiding behind your turret and letting zed go rape every lane to ensure all of your teams lanes lost. Its why players like hashinshin can stay upper diamond/low masters while feeding his arse off every other game he understands even if he is losing he can draw pressure to himself when he is worth no gold while the rest of his team continues to snowball and in the end carry him. Oh I am sure the small brain crew will down vote me but hey you can't help stupid can you.
If you are losing the lane your teammates are going to have to deal with the enemy laner. That is how the game works. If the enemy laner is 3-0 and you're not behind your tower afk farming, then the only other place for you to be is behind a gray screen waiting for a respawn while they push your turret for free. If you are afk farming, then at least you are farming and keeping minions off your turret for longer. The only 'pressure' you'll be putting on your enemy laner is making them figure out how to spend all the gold they have so early on.

Ignite also has a shorter cooldown, and can be used to deny healing for those annoying champs that have some ridiculous source of self healing. I used to run exhaust flash all the time early in the season, but I've switched over to ignite and I feel like I perform much better with it.

Annie could use a mana item _or_ Manaflow Band, or Shurelya's Reverie. Or water drake. Her mana costs are fairly high especially if you're trying to wave clear in midgame. That is not true at all, particularly early game or against anyone that has {{summoner:21}} or {{item:3155}} Maybe once you hit late game, once you are full build or close to it, or are already far ahead, sure. Even then a magic resist item will still help them live through a one-shot. Tibbers damage matters a lot.

A lot of these characters scale very well but they will have a hard time with tanks early on. (Add Annie to the list too btw) Vel'koz most certainly cares about MR until he has enough AP to completely nuke with true damage, which again, will happen later in the game. That's the entire point. Most of these characters are going to get pooped on by tanks at 1-3 items. They can kill the tanks late in the game, but there is a reason full AP comps don't work very well.

There are very few mages that fit into those first two categories. AP DPS is pretty much... Ryze and Cassi? And for anti-tank - only other person who I can think of that doles out large chunks of %hp damage like Brand does is Malzahar. Once you get to late game, yeah, burst mages will wreck tanks then, but a full AP teamcomp will get steamrolled by them long before then. There isn't any feedback worth a note going on at Reddit at all. It's the complete opposite of here. It doesn't seem like they respond to feedback anywhere I look. And the most important feedback I see isn't even balance concerns - it's calling Riot out on things like bugs and other poor design in the client with nothing done about it for years, and things along that line.

I don't think you read anything I actually said. I never said mages should one-shot tanks. I hate tanks, but it's not because they tank, it's because they do too much damage, like everything else right now. But I am pointing out this weird misconception everyone has that all the MPen makes tanks useless against mages. Sure, Void Staff seems better than AD equivalents, but most mages don't put out enough sustained damage to actually threaten a tank like most AD characters can.

Have you even tried to kill a tank as a mage, though? Even with all that pen it's practically impossible. Hell, even if the tank is just building HP/Armor, you can't kill them at all throughout the midgame, not until you're nearing your endgame build. On the flipside, most tanks will murder a squishy mage with their high base damage. Like, people cry about how mages can build all this pen, but the fact of the matter is that pen isn't enough to kill a tank in one rotation, and the mage will die while their spells are on cooldown as the tank engages and CCs them to death. If the tank builds even one MR item you can forget about killing them until late game.

And the true damage is part of the problem as there is nothing you can do against it.
They don't shut you down like Demons do. They counter tanky comps, but if you're running something squishy and high powered (blademasters, gunslinger, maybe even sorc) I'd bet you can destroy the voids a lot quicker than they destroy you. True damage certainly helps them a lot but Void champs in general are not really high damage characters as a baseline (except maybe Khazix).

I find it funny that everyone immediately jumps at "True Damage" as being some ridiculous overpowered thing just on its own merit when that's really not true. An ability could do literally 1 point of damage like Twitch's poison and the league community would whine about "WTF True Damage, this is overpowered!" Let's be real about this. Most units in TFT don't even have very much armor, except for specific tanky units (Leona), Guardian bonus (Braum/Leona), or Exodia Nobles (hey it's Leona again). It does mean that their spells can cut through Dragons Claw and Dragon bonus, which is significant, but the only Void caster that really does a lot of that is Cho'gath. Are void units really that broken? I don't know, maybe. I can say that Brawler bonus is pretty damn good. But please, _please_ come up with a better argument than "WTF TRUE DAMAGE IS BROKEN".
Ðïana (NA)
: A decent Diana is gonna absolutely dump on him if he doesn't rush RoA, and even if he does she's still going to be a big problem for him, just won't delete him in one burst. I'd imagine a decent Zed is a nightmare. Possibly Talon? A good Kat would be impossible to hit with most of Vel's kit. Basically champs that can either reposition so well that he can't hit them, or champs that can just hard All-in and blow him up.
I can't see Velkoz being able to do anything about a good Katarina.
