: I feel as though making support gold factor into this is another step in the wrong direction for player satisfaction and ends up resulting in unnecessarily making the best Spellthiefs supports, such as Brand, Bard and Vel'Koz worth more gold for no other reason than they were able to make better use of their support items.
It will basically be impossible for supports to get CS bounties. Since they would need to have more than the average minion/monster gold of the opponent team (just from the supports own CS/support item gold) which.. looking at data basically never happens.
: > So, want to clarify a bit here. 2 kills is only worth +150 gold of bounties. (+75 gold per kill, only counting after the 2nd kill). So the shutdown kill is worth (300)+150 = 450g Roughly 25% of the gold from the two kills is applied as a bounty Sorry what I was trying to say is that 2 kills are worth 600 gold. Also, 1 kill on a target with a bounty for having 2 kills is worth 450 gold. That is 75% of 600. That is what I mean by 75%. > Also, separate point, I think there is a misconception that 2 kills being worth +150 is new to this season. In, fact that part of the kill bounty system has existed for as long as I can remember. Yes, but at drastically smaller values. That is the point I'm trying to make.
Fair point! Currently we're pretty happy with these numbers due to the 'difficulty' of killing someone who is 2/0 (or greater) as someone who usually has less gold. Zooming out a bit: if the 0/2 person manages to kill the 2/0 person TWICE, they'll receive 750 gold total for the 2 kills, compared to the 600 gold the first person received for starting 2/0. If we notice that games become too hard to close out/snowball then we could look to reduce the number.
: This is still upsetting that 2 kills is still worth 450 gold. That is 75% of the gold for the 2 kills the other player got. that is a {{item:1006}} I just don't get why early bounties are so strong. I was really hoping you guys would realize that is just a little too forgiving. All that needed to happen was it being moved down to 400 gold IMO. Why is the 2 kill bounty just so effective? I'm genuinely curious why it is so strong.
So, want to clarify a bit here. 2 kills is only worth +150 gold of bounties. (+75 gold per kill, only counting after the 2nd kill). So the shutdown kill is worth (300)+150 = 450g **Roughly 25% of the gold from the two kills is applied as a bounty** If 75% of the gold from 2 kills was being rewarded back as a bounty, the total value of the shutdown kill would actually look like (300)+450 = 750g. I would completely agree that that number would be out of line. Also, separate point, I think there is a misconception that 2 kills being worth +150 is new to this season. In, fact that part of the kill bounty system has existed for as long as I can remember.

Generally the same reason that GP TF, or Draven don't get larger bounties based on the gold their kit uniquely gives them. Klepto is balanced around other runes in the system, and we start getting into strange territory if it increases your bounty
: Hey jatt this is super cool that this is your first post as a designer. Can i ask how this may effect negative bounties for people behind
If you're referring to the Global Bounty Reduction from the post, that part of the system was untouched.

: yea well...for me it´s fnatic>IG>AHQ - but i wouldn´t be surprised if i´m proven wrong and AHQ or IG or even C9 win the group (ok, C9 would surprise me), it´s really a close call and rather unpredictable what those teams will come up with on an all new patch 1 month after their last appearance.
This is definitely the most variant group from the 1-3 slots. I think this was shown even during the draw show itself, with Deficio predicting FNC>iG>AHQ, Spawn predicting iG>AHQ>FNC, and myself predicting iG>FNC>AHQ

: Based off of what I saw in the CBLOL Finals, I believe that INTZ would have been the better team to represent Brazil and the Wildcard regions at the World Championships. They played a very proactive style, and they recognized their win conditions, which is why in maybe of the games we saw paiN leading in kills by a considerable margin however we had INTZ constantly knocking at the door of paiN's base (emphasis on game 1). I can see how they, INTZ, would do very well against NA teams who are not particularly familiar with how they play. I would say the reason why paiN won in a clean 3-0 is because of their familiarity with how INTZ plays, so they know how to beat them, via good counterganking and capitalizing on INTZ's overaggression. That being said, paiN have a decent chance at making it out of groups if one of the favorites opts for a more aggressive style, perhaps punishing some of ZionSpartan's more zealous pushes, as, from what I saw, Mylon is a very capable top laner, very dominant. I would go as far as say Kami is to Brazil as Faker is to the rest of the world (especially Season 3 Faker), because Kami showed a superb amount of game sense, rarely if ever overextending and recognizing when to play safe and when he was going to get ganked, and when to use major cooldowns. I fully expect paiN to get 4th, however it is almost as likely as them getting 3rd or 2nd, depending on how the CLG situation is, and how well Mylon matches up against Steak, who hasn't been doing too well, and ZionSpartan in this top lane carry meta. I don't have much faith in a mid lane main subbing in as a jungler, based off of history (CJE Ambition and Hai rip. Smart and experienced players, just, ugh, not good junglers)
As I was watching the group draw, I got super excited when paiN was drawn into this group because it is a group paiN actually has a chance to get out of, and it would be unreal to have a Wild Card team in the Quarterfinals. I think it's safe to say Kami can be called the Brazilian faker, as many people refer to him as that already. He has consistently been so good when compared to the competition that the name fits. Thanks for the comment.

: Great read, keep it up Jatt. Do you plan on doing more of these for the other groups too? If you are, definitely looking forward to your insight on if AHQ can be as dominant and topple Fnatic like they did at MSI or if EDG can beat SKT once more. Looking forward to it.
I would like to do more. This one ended up being longer than I had anticipated, but I am happy with the overall result. If I do another, group B will definitely be next.
: Holy crap it's Jatt! *waves* I vote CLG cuz I don't even know the other guys much -_-
Then read the post and learn about them haha
