: Prestige points shop
I'm pretty sure the Prestige Points are supposed to be rare enough that you work for the skins and you're done. I actually didn't even bother with that because I own every public skin, so I just re-rolled skin shards to get all the mystic skins, of which the Prestige skins are considered. I actually managed to get Prestige Fuzz Fizz on the day the store opened,

Dominion from League of Legends would be a cool idea to implement into the game.

: Will you get ranked rewards if you're honor 0?
Nope. Basically, if someone starts being toxic the only thing you can do is mute them, try to keep your cool, and then report them after the match. If you want, you can go the extra mile and submit a support ticket regarding the incident as well. This often is done for appeals and stuff, but following my appeal they told me they'll look into if they need to punish the other person as well.
: But then how did you know it was that game?
Because the message was immediately after that match.
: Last year when Riot started dishing out all the penalties right before Victorious Orianna hit, my friend got a penalty for saying "shut up" to his toxic team lel.

They were super helpful, but yeah, basically they said it's still against the rules even if the other person was being more abusive or breaking more policies, so fair enough. I just gotta block these types of people when they get lippy.

: >I love this game but after 10 years of I've had at least 10 accounts banned and over 50k hours of my life wasted. 10 years and over 50k hours of your life? I mean, I hate to say this, but this sounds like you may have a bit of a problem. And I say that as somebody who is on the computer constantly. But I do plenty of different things on the computer. Some things more productive, some less; and I'll gladly admit I do far too much unproductive shit. But even I can see that it cannot be healthy to pour close to 14 hours a day into one particular video game. Even if you were a streamer or pro player and actually earned your money through LoL I wouldn't consider this healthy. Maybe this latest permaban is a good opportunity for you to take a step back and think about some things. Especially if you stick to your decision to quit. >at the end of the day and we are PEOPLE . not robots, not apes PEOPLE or did you forget riot. This is just me nitpicking... but we actually are apes. The term includes humans.
I mean, I can kind of sympathize with the OP because several years ago I was struggling with getting a job and I spent about 9 months completely unemployed. Over the year I had played I believe 2300 ranked Summoner's Rift matches, eventually getting to Gold V for the first time at the very end of it, but I was incredibly toxic and somehow avoided any punishment despite being verbally abusive and even at times running it down. There was a match where I was playing Vayne and my support was Sona and she bursted one of them down on two occasions to where I was unable to secure the kill for myself, so I told them in all chat that I was inting two kills and told Sona to get out of my lane or I'd continue, and so she went mid, and I actually ended up winning lane and ending with the highest farm in the match, but in hindsight it was a pretty dumb way to play the match and in most cases it would just have turned into complete chaos at that point.
: If you got banned you deserve it. I am really drifting away from this game, because I dont find it fun anymore. The meta right now has stripped all my fun nothing wows me really anymore its just "oh he just got one shot" 'oh my teammate mental boomed so now we lose"
I mean, that's always been the case with the game, it just seems more or less the case at times, and it's kind of prominent at all elos. People get tilted, and as annoying as it sounds to parrot the same generic advice as everyone else you just sort of have to roll with the punches and play to minimize your losses, not to get a perfect 100% winrate otherwise those matches where your adc dies once a minute in and ragequits are kind of hard to rebound from.
: Yes pros use microphones, but do you want every player to have to spend alot of money on quality microphones, and know multiple languages just to be able to work with their team? > honestly this community is full of robots and riot employes that don't even play the game bc if you did you would know what i meant . Ummm no, this game is full of humans, sentient beings who dont enjoy putting themselves into the spotlight for abuse and just want to have a fun time playing a video game. > its not a country its a video game or do you not see that So are you saying I shouldnt be able to make disruptive people leave my property if I want them to? Im legally forced to let them do whatever they want to thing I own? It may be a video game, but it is property of riot games and so they decide how their game is used. They chose to make it as enjoyable as possible for their players
I mean, more importantly, why should players have to subject themselves to people like the OP in a voice chat when playing the game? Plenty of us have good quality microphones, but we avoid using them because they're incredibly unhelpful in solo queue. So many people block the comms and distract and use them as a means to abuse players without there being tangible evidence of the behavior, and even if you were to record it it could feasibly be faked so you'll never be able to prove it anyways. Pings are plenty for communication, which is sort of why chat restrictions exist anyways. If anything they improve performance.

I don't know how to not flame people? I play this game a lot and I haven't gotten any punishments. Because I can control myself.
I think the implication is that you must play ranked to learn the valuable skill of harassing teammates for making mistakes.
: im quitting this game forever
I mean, I recently got a chat restriction and felt the same way, but I still got the idea that the line is somewhere closer than I thought it was before. I wouldn't just keep typing negative borderline messages and act all surprised when I continue getting punishments for the same behavior to the point where I've gotten 10 accounts permanently banned. Freedom of speech doesn't hold when you're on someone else's property using their services. A company has the right to ban you from their services. It's the same as getting permanently banned from a McDonald's because you called an employee a slur.

Please don't require a mobile phone. I'm literally a boomer and I use a landline and it would be incredibly dumb to require a $60 a month cell-phone plan just to play a free-to-play game.
: I can't influence my games and I don't belong in my elo
I mean, the same thing happened to me when I first played ranked years back, because the game assumes for some reason that players should be considered Silver when they just first start ranked. If I remember correctly I got placed in gold on my smurf account by winning 8/10 of my placement matches while my main account was Bronze V (lowest rank at the time) with 400 matches played that season.

: I just played a game with a dude claiming that he wants to go challenger
As an adc farming tends to be the most important part of the game as you usually have nothing better to do during laning phase unless the enemy laners make serious mistakes, and is especially important if you're playing a late game carry like Tristana, Twitch, or Vayne. If they come to fights they'll tend to do peanut damage unless they've gotten ahead in laning phase, which requires a strong support to keep them alive and to catch the enemies. Usually you should go for objectives, but it sounds like your team was getting destroyed from the way you've worded it, in which case a Tristana would just give free kills and would not be able to steal a dragon, and if the Alistar isn't doing his job then that also vastly discourages Tristana from going in fights and only really gives her hope to if either the jungler or top laner engages.
: Yasuo Wall in URF
Yasuo is literally the worst character in URF. He's actually much, much more valuable in the normal modes than URF as other champs get massive benefits whereas Yas is about the same in both modes.
: RIOT WHAT THE F*&# I WANT TO DODGE
I mean it would be nice if there wasn't a penalty for dodging, but apparently back when there wasn't it was really annoying since most people would dodge very frequently and thus it would take much longer for people to get into matches in general. The LP loss and timer deter people from dodging, but dodging is still usually better if you see people getting completely salty in the chat (I'd probably recommend waiting on someone else to dodge to save yours if possible - occasionally toxic players will dodge themselves if they're picking a fight in champ select), but really it only very minimally impacts the climb. Sure, you can play that match, but you're losing MMR which is much more important than LP anyways. Theoretically, if you were to frequently dodge to the point where you weren't gaining LP despite a 100% winrate, your MMR will get high enough that your LP gains will outweigh the losses, and potentially you might even be bumped an extra division once you pass promos.
: I can't imagine how much better League would be if...
20 bans? Hmm... I'd probably choose Ashe, Caitlyn, Vayne, Twitch, Lucian, Jhin, Corki, Kog'Maw, Ezreal, Xayah, Quinn, Graves, Mordekaiser, Yasuo, Miss Fortune, Draven, Jinx, Tristana, Kalista, and Varus every game.

: Why does the match cancel if you dont lock-in?
It actually used to be different. It used to automatically lock in for you, so occasionally I assume that and forget to lock in, but yeah, it makes sense why it works the way it works. On one occasion my client bugged out in champ select and I had to relog, though I relogged in time to lock in, but my runes were bugged out so I was stuck with the wrong runes. Might have been better if I just hadn't relogged at all, but yeah, if someone completely bugs out in champ select it kind of wastes everyone's time and your lp if the match just begins anyways. Also, the punishment for dodging is not all that important, except potentially if you're in your promos - Not sure if MMR is affected by promos dodges, and I wish I did know, because I'll take a loss in LP over a loss in both any day. I believe if you dodge once it's 3lp and like 5 minutes if it was ranked, and it goes up greatly for each subsequent dodge, but MMR remains unaffected. I had a phase where I was getting a lot of very toxic players in champ select in a row, and I dodged enough matches to end up with about -30-something points, and when I finally played and won my next match I was granted that 30 points back plus 20 more, basically negating all of the dodges past 0 lp.
: League is Dogshit!
This isn't really the place for this discussion. It's definitely a rant. I've been here too, I've had the same issues on occasion and it's annoying when it happens, but there's a number of strategies to climbing that vary in how much they'll promote and alleviate tilt, and I'd say support's probably one of the most unforgiving roles in solo queue despite seeming incredibly simple. When I'm in bronze my go-to role tends to be support, not because queue times are faster, but because there's so many different opportunities to shape the game and adapt around your team. I got really good at playing Sona, so I was spamming Sona, focusing on trying to get gold from Q poke and keeping my adc alive, and occasionally roaming and healing the jungler or the mid-laner if I had time, which is something I've rarely seen other supports do even at gold or platinum. I also found damage supports worked exceptionally well, especially Vel'Koz and Brand, as many players tend to get frustrated as they get wittled down from range by a mage support, and their positioning is usually pretty predictable. I've never had an enjoyable time playing tank supports as more often than not I find my teams failing to capitalize on my engages. With mage supports you can carry your teams and with healers you can keep your teammates from feeding, and especially at low elos people struggle to punish squishy supports.
: What is your Favorite Snack to munch on while Playing League.
: Why do people use A+LeftClick to auto attack?
It's one of the most important micro commands, especially for ranged champions, as it allows you to attack in between movement commands. In gold and below (more so as you go further down) a lot of players will lose tonnes of champion damage just by doing one or the other. Positioning and attacking are both vital to winning fights, and if you're sitting there attacking the only way you're going to be valuable is if some frontline champions babysit you and provide you with tonnes of peel. It's still important on melee champions, such as Kled, as you can say slap the enemy with a point-blank auto and instantly follow it with a well-placed Q to shoot yourself to safety. Also good for Udyr if you're looking to run around in a teamfight slapping everyone you come across and locking them down to the best of your ability. One issue to keep in mind is that there's not really a way yet to prioritize champions, so if there's a minion closer to you you will still have to click to attack, which will be a bit slower as you'll have to be dragging your mouse back and forth between two spots to kite.

: Riot, the game doesn't need massive Champion releases or Reworks.
If you ask me the game already has way too many champs, and changing them up all the time makes the game a full-time job just to play casually. And then there's TFT and Wild Rift which have the same champs with different abilities and strengths and weaknesses. What results is a lot of "When did Alistar lose his heal? How does Fizz's W even work? Only autos give Tahm Kench stacks now?"
: is anyone experiencing high ping?
Yeah, I had one match where I got a 2k lagspike and had to relog. Was kind of dumb because I sat there watching my character ignoring my inputs and freely getting killed by the enemy laner.

: What do you think of the current punishment situation?
This is the case with anything in life. Some people lead successful criminal lives and some people are falsely imprisoned.
: #here's an easy-to-follow guide on chat punishments, from someone who has so many permabans that they lost count at 36 in season 7: --- ##Every season, you get 3 chances to reform **10-game chat restrict --> 25-game chat restrict --> 14day ban --> permaban** * chat restrictions are never skipped unless you say "kys" or some other "zero-tolerance" word, like slurs * 14day ban is never skipped unless you're boosting, account sharing, scripting, or otherwise cheating * _any chat-related punishment following a 14day will always be a perma._ severity doesn't matter at this point. you are on your last chance. you were not permabanned for _just_ this chat log. you were punished multiple times before and didn't get the hint.
: Riot is taking balancing too seriously in URF
I mean if anything I'd want CC to be nerfed in URF. Morgana, Malzahar, Nami, Blitzcrank, and Thresh feel way too strong with the way they can chain CC and win any fight if they catch anyone out for a split second.

: RNG is far from decent. Whole game with bronze lvl 1.
A pretty safe strat is to go for an expensive unit at level 1 and sell it and try to get level 2 and 3 early game units. Keep in mind that in late game you can sell and replace these units for their entire value. Edit: Also, early game I tend to go for knights, since 3 of them are level one and their passive bonus is good for the early game giving flat damage reduction. If I get Sejuani and Kayle later I might consider keeping them, otherwise I might try for other comps depending on the champs I get in the mid game. If I see tonnes of yordles, I'll go yordles, if I see tonnes of brawlers I'll go brawlers. Assassins and Sorcerers are very good but I find most people go for them, so there's typically a lower chance of leveling them up and they are the most item dependent champs in this mode.

Just block and report the people and move on is what I would say, otherwise you really only lost some experience points potentially and you gained some experience in playing a 3v5. In draft pick you're not always going to get the role, but when you do you're most certainly entitled to it and you're going to get a lot less of this behaviour, especially in normals where people are more willing to practice new things out anyways. Normals in general is where people go to practice new champions, builds, and roles, and ranked is more often used for playing the few things that you're most comfortable with. I am not entirely upset, the thing that makes me proud is the fact of how hard jayce and kai'sa were trying their hardest which I am glad of.
I mean yeah. That's typically the kind of mentality that allows people to climb most efficiently in the game, even if they have matches like that which are impossible to win due to one or two griefing players. Nowadays, Riot seems pretty strict on griefing, which for me helps to alleviate tilt a bit as I feel like my reports actually matter at least a little bit these days. Those two sound like people who just really enjoy the game and can see the bigger picture, which is really the optimal way to play the game, even though really all of us get salty from time to time.

: Where do we draw the line?
Controversial opinion incoming: People are allowed to have bad games, and a lot of what happens in a match is interpretive. To an extent I'd say players should be allowed to not try to win a match. Where I'd draw the line is pretty far in - Don't actually intentionally feed and don't leave the match. However, if a player is in chat expressing a negative attitude, I would say that is definitely crossing the line. For example, if they're an adc and they're afk-farming while your team is getting pushed in and steamrolled mid, I would say this is okay, and there's some viable reasoning to it if they're playing an especially farm-dependent adc like Twitch or Vayne. However, if they then say something in chat along the lines of "get away from me. I don't want anything to do with this team. Jungle difference. I'd carry you, but you're just not worth it," then there's an argument to be made that they're throwing the match.

: Please help me
I mean, this is a matter of how the game's programmed. It's kind of lame how it seems that once you get into promos that's when the game seems to match you up with a bunch of trolls and against a bunch of boosters and smurfs, but you have to just shut up and deal. Get autofilled? Pick something safe and reliable that you at least have some experience with, and don't be too bummed if you lose, and take a win as a nice bonus. Even if your teammates troll you, it's simply unwise to rage about it in the chat, especially so early into the match, using all caps and all chat. You'll get a lot more people punished by muting all and reporting with a detailed explanation after the match. I'm almost certain that when people type "report" in all chat the game recognizes this and ignores the reports and instead flags that person as a toxic player. I've never once gotten an instant feedback report telling me a player I reported was punished after begging other players to report them. It kind of gives the impression that you're trying to frame that person and get a false positive out of a sheer quantity of reports rather than a fair representation.
