: Broken for Months Now
He has a lot of bugs holding him back, literally on every ability except E.
: URF
It could be a permanent game mode, like ARAM. Doesn't seem like it takes many resources to upkeep, and balance was never meant to be stellar, just remove extreme outliers. If you normalize the game mode, it won't be burning out so many players like it's a special event you have to get the most out of, rather than a fun alternative to press your buttons for a bit before returning to normal, sort of like a stress or energy release mode. Which granted, Nexus Blitz was, but for some reason, it got pulled even though it looked amazing and had potential to grow into something wonderful.
: These last 2 weeks in an attempt to get gold I'm going to do the following:
Positional matchmaking being pulled messed with the ranked system so hard. My diamond games have been actually relatively well matched for once these past few weeks except the one game Nubrac was in. On the other hand, I was in Silver 1 on another account with a 27% win rate, and it's now Gold 4 with a 32% win rate. I don't know what is even solid anymore. You can carry with support if you roam well, or duo. You can certainly split intelligently. However, your main concern is always identifying your win condition and the enemies, and playing around it. This means even as champions are being selected. You don't tilt, give up, or feel bad about compositions -- you analyze the conditions, and play accordingly, keeping them in mind the whole game.
Cloud273 (NA)
: Buffing tanks directly is the best way to fix them
If a bruiser falls behind, there is virtually no way to be useful beyond splitting. Conqueror exists to counter the Bramble/Tabi rush and prevent being mitigated from the early laning phase as well as prevent not being able to contest a split into a tank that would outscale them. Otherwise tanks and mages overtake top completely. There are very few actual bruiser items, they tend to use tank items and damage items rather than the mix. You cannot build Maw and Steraks, you cannot build Cleaver and Trinity, and you cannot switch between Ravenous or Titanic. Shojin was a mistake in general and is being removed. So you have 3 choices of bruiser items for the whole build. Mages have an abundance, and ADC's have a dozen, ranging from on-hit to lifesteal to anti-cc to amor pen/lethality, to crit. Actually diversifying bruiser items instead of cancelling half of the ideas, might let them incentivize the class instead of making them take a keystone to invalidate early tank stats and prompt an unhealthy balance between classes, keystones, and items. Not that they actually have any other keystone to take. It isn't that Conqueror is a broken keystone in itself considering PTA is the better laning alternative, just that it builds a meta where tanks aren't allowed to safely compete when reaching into the mid game or late. But at the same time, Bramble is ridiculous for the price as well as how ludicrously effective Tabi are, and made it so you need Conqueror so that tanks aren't defining the meta. If a tank, whose laning should be moderately weak by default due to tank scaling, is able to safely scale -- and ALSO not be answered in a split, then you have almost no reason at all to ever pick anything but 2 to 3 tanks. In this sense, Conqueror was necessary because it provided an answer to keep tanks slightly down earlier and able to answer them later. The issue however is, now it's too much because we've also made objectives snowball the game harder and an assassin (solo queue) mid lane meta which exacerbates that, while simultaneously of course having ADC's kill tanks. But I feel it has led to this notion that tank items are just weak instead of the components that lead into it cost too much or are mitigated earlier and thus force them to give up too much pressure and not scale as well because of the tools that are keeping them down. [Also it's a joke that Void Staff exists at 40% penetration, alongside Sorc Boots, and Morello for so long as well as Zhonyas not sharing the same, or even half, the cooldown of Guardian Angel when you see how incredibly obscene controlled Stasis is when you give just the passive out to champions and have to nerf it 5 times.] --------------------------------------------- But in the end: new bruiser items, a few minor buffs to specific tanks, new Conqueror being able to mitigate a Tabi/Bamble rush but not scale monstrously as to discourage tanks from answering a split, and taps to magic penetration or making magic resistance items cheaper, would all be good fixes in my opinion.
: I miss old Ezreal w+e
I miss when Ezreal was a dps character and not also a burst character that has to be nerfed 20 times because of a new ability. Old AP Ezreal was burst, AD was dps and that was nice. They were actually tuned rather well with eachother when outlier items weren't being abused. Perhaps AP could have used a slight boost, but it was alright. Now, since they're coupled, you just have both playstyles with either build. Obviously, it isn't going to be healthy.

: Worst world champion song ever in 5 year.
Are we conveniently forgetting Worlds Collide? That was one of my favorites. That being said, I think Phoenix is good. It just lacks something for competition, or capturing the spirit of the energy of the fans or the drive behind it all. They went so deep into meaningful composure that they forgot we want to be hyped up in some way rather than appreciate the beauty of the song or visuals. Not that these should be excluded, but they were far too prevalent in place of something we expected to excite us.
: Zhonya’s isn’t broken.
You're right. It isn't like Zhonyas has been built on almost every high elo mage player since its existence, and almost every professional game ever regardless of any changes it has gone through over years. Clearly, when you even just give its passive out to other champions, it has to be nerfed because it's obviously just the only good defensive item now, not like it's always been this way for 9 seasons. Except it has. Few champions dropped Steraks, champions dropped Maw, champions dropped PD, champions dropped Titanic. Not a single mage that has built Zhonyas has dropped it because of any changes that were made to it throughout post Zhonyas Ring. The entire concept of it is broken, and needs to be scrapped for better and varied defensive options rather than try and keep in this mandatory purgatory of comfortable familiarity.

: Pretending Vlad has anything other than super minor sustain outside of low HP empowered Q before 2 items. {{sticker:sg-miss-fortune}} His sustain is still complete trash early. I think you're just salty because Aatrox's sustain got nerfed.
Sustain is more in pertinence to neutralizing a lane in this case. You can't just bully him out easily, and a good Vlad will make it difficult to make anything stick, or to get out of the lane "ahead" more than 300 gold. So you can pick most of the champion pool with an expectation to be a bully or win lane, but he can keep you locked in without clear advantages beyond a mild gold differential unless he missteps. Makes keeping the pressure on hard because you have to just keep dealing with him, and are having the top laner kept busy.

: Sivir has the best movespeed buff, a spell shield, and the safety of a long range, wave destroying skill shot and her bounces. She's the safest ADC.
I legitimately think Tristana is the safest ADC. Having a dash and a ranged Lee Sin kick is relatively comfortable.
: SIVIR: The Meh Adc
She was very powerful until recently where she warranted a nerf. Best waveclear in the game, a utility ultimate, and a spell shield on demand. She's meant to tie a team together and provides good dps regardless as it reaches late game, even if not stellar. If by dated, you mean she's too simple and generic, then perhaps.

I imagine it's the pretense that Ekko didn't need buffs at all. Which is true, but if you take into account it's pro patches for this and next one, the inevitability of his buff has to be accepted.

Sometimes it just doesn't actually unlock. Happened throughout the years, though not too often.

: Ekko has gone too far
I don't mind if it scaled to be longer CC, but starting out at 2+ seconds is heavy. They wanted to push Ekko jungle from fringe to a real pick, and have another real counter to Syndra being back in pro meta. But they could have literally just added it stuns monsters for 50% longer and given him like 2 more Magic Resist, and he would have hit the mark on both counts.
: Lucian is forming a party to rescue Senna, which 4 Champs would you choose to fill out his roster?
: Zilean Passive
That's not a bug technically, you can E them without clicking on them. Zilean needs a lot of QoL changes though, feels like he's laid forgotten forever. His health pool needs to be standardized with other mages, his buffered spells should actually buffer like most other mages, his ultimate should be brought to 100 like 99% of the champions in the game, and the W shouldn't be able to be available level 1.
: It clearly is if the nerf wasn't even for pro play in the first place, im still referring to 9.14 where tahm was mostly a toplane issue. "Just taking a sweeping pass at all the things that make tahm kench frustrating to play against" What ever happened to them reverting the buff to his q slow which is what made him a problem against immobile champs and players who don't try to avoid it... Instead they gut literally everything else in his kit because "its not fun to play against" despite that being the way it was for several seasons, meanwhile they keep his buffed q slow which was what made him problematic in toplane in the first place....
What made him problematic was being able to keep stacks up and having higher tank stats with less investment. The slow coupled with the stacks was an issue, nerfing both was certainly overkill. Tahm top was nerfed in solo, yes. Like how Pyke was nerfed solo, those are design implementations. Pyke's weakness is his partner, not himself; reverse soraka. Therefore if he can be by himself and function, he is not meant to. Tahm is meant to save others and keep enemies detained for pickup. Not kill them himself. Sometimes diversity conflicts with player satisfaction. Some champions conflict a third corner into professional play, so while Tahm _could_ have had power elsewhere, he is not allowed to because of professional metrics. Therefore he has to sit in a dump because his implementation and function are both hitting the edges.
: Tahm`s winrate in pro play wasn't even that high though...
Not the only stat that matters...

Sylas is literally two steps off Riven in handling. Other than that, one tricks don't translate well. You just have to look at the game like it's almost new again. Half of the fun, really. : Jhin buffs? Not needed? Those buffs were insanely minor and nowhere near major or over-tuned in any capacity, and he needed them desperately. I honestly haven't noticed much of a difference with the buffs anyway. His W feels the same to me and I don't feel like I'm doing more damage. He's only playable because we're abusing a certain build(as is the norm with him). A few Jhin mains I know(incredibly dedicated ones at that) have actually moved _away_ from playing him because he's in such terrible shape.
W buff was pretty big. The base AD wasn't needed, but also minor enough on Jhin not to do anything but make people recognize he was strong and play him. Unlike Caitlyn, who was already strong and able to maintain a chokehold on ADC meta if ever allowed to be a staple.

Well yes, but no. No matter what state Riven has been left in, her mains in Masters+ consistently remain there for the most part throughout _every_ season. Almost all other champion mains are forced to switch up some FOTM champions to stay, or suffer an arduous curve.

: Why is Riven getting her E nerf reverted?
She dropped from like 54% Masters+ to 48 and like 51 to sub 50 every other elo. She's still strong, and she always will be in the hands of one tricks. But there's a simple secession people have to understand. -------------------- Just because you do not like a champion, does not mean they deserve to be nerfed -- even if that champion, feels frustrating to play against. That is 'balance', it is irrespective of how people feel about the playstyle. Balance is statistical (yes, this means Aatrox, who is statistically hyper powerful in a distribution curve of pro play, meets this parameter even when sitting at a piss poor solo queue rate because of statistical significance to their goal), and is meant to meet certain benchmarks. You do not have to agree with how that works, but have to respect that it is the meaning. ------------ Game _health_ is separate from game _balance_, even though they have strong influence on eachother. Is Riven healthy, having a champion based around cancels, that were originally a bug and even removed from other champions (like Zed) for being so? Most likely not. Is Riven now balanced after her nerf, and justifiable to add 1 second to Q and reduce 1 second from E in order to contend with other champions that got buffed? Most likely so.

: No Buff will make Blitz pro viable
Countered by too many champions, high punish window, and offers very little otherwise unless all his major nerfs were reverted. His ult coming back to a low cooldown, his self-slow being removed, and his base tankiness buffed to be higher than before. Then there's a case, but at that point, he's overbearing in solo queue.
: [Lore Question] Which would be stronger, A targonian Aspect or Xerath.
Let's take Aatrox. A former Ascended. He considers Jax a worthy opponent. By extension, we can say Jax might be able to fight Xerath, however they are not comparable to duel like Aatrox and Jax are. Xerath is a being of energy, Aatrox is of a blade. There is no fight here, Xerath wins off attrition. Whether or not their power is equal is of little consequence. Aatrox being nigh immortal however is a slight advantage as Xerath can still die. Now let's move on to Xerath or Aatrox fighting an Aspect. Either can kill the host. However, only Aatrox himself has definitively separated host from Aspect, killing it or at least a part of it. If he can do so with his own power (his blade _is_ him), then Xerath theoretically can. An aspect like Zoe or Diana could keep him at bay, but an aspect like Pantheon would struggle. A battle needs to be on the grounds that there is one. is on a magnitude that Xerath can combat given enough time to amass his power, but Aatrox would not be able to harm regardless of time passed. Whether or not Aatrox unleashed could do so is up to speculation entirely. Sol is a celestial, but the point is meant to decipher how a standard metric needs to be established.

: can we talk about qiyana?
She isn't particularly out of line, just has a lot of cancels that exacerbate her impact. Learning them is what made the curve start so low around 46% and ramp up to what is now 49 - 52%. Her ultimate is also exceptional since it forces you (and even a whole team) into a wall for her to unload all these cancels without fear. As it stands though, she isn't problematic outside of the teamfight impact ultimate on an assassin which is simultaneously useable on a single target. It can be kept still though if the time she is able to unload, something Zed had removed on his instant W-E-Q combo to give opponents a little more time, was given the same treatment.

: Why is Sylas so buff looking?
The man couldn't use the chains as a weapon if he didn't have muscles. Even if he was only average inside the prison, he could have packed on muscle relatively quick, especially considering his ability is copying, and the chains grant him absorption on top of it. Alternatively, he could have copied an ability that granted him a racial ability benefit some time ago and just remains so small of a budget (since you wouldn't need much mana/energy to facilitate already natural processes) that it remains functioning even within the chains.
: I mean the shrooms change I think is a big deal: It gives teemo players more options. Before they were forced to leave lane depending on where they wanted to shroom and such, but now they can do it easily with the leap frog shrooms. Furthermore, holding 5 shrooms is gonna be big, as it lets him not be forced to put down shrooms as much, which in term might help mana consumption. But the thing where scuttle doesnt proc the shrooms is massive: it gives teemo far more river/ map control then every before. It'll be nice to see
Bouncing is extremely niche (such as safely attacking a team on Baron). There's almost no reason to place a static shroom via bounce more than the first when you can place them in an actual strategic place. You aren't forced to put shrooms, you _should_ be putting down Shrooms as soon as they appear while keeping 1, unless you're preparing for a teamfight in the next 20 seconds. That's literally Teemo's entire function, his on-hit is a Neeko substitute proxy and something to do in between Shrooms. The only real change is honestly just passive Scuttle, yeah -- not triggering Shrooms so he can have them in River to begin with.
: Not gonna lie, as much as I hate teemo, he really needed love. Glad to see he got polished: its gonna feel so much satisfying for players to play him ( but not me. I main juggernauts ._.)
The changes aren't polish for him though. It added clarity for opponents, which is in technicality, a nerf. And he can now _hold_ up to 5, which he never even gets up to holding 3 anyway because he puts them down as often as possible. So this is quite literally nothing.
Baval (NA)

I picked it because it one of the most efficient tank items (as sad as that it) It’s like 97% gold efficient without its passive or something like that. Then after the black cleaver nuke it goes down to like 78%. It’s insane how fucked tanks are being.
I mean, damage needs to scale better than defense. That's... how you deal damage. The issue might just be that tanks don't survive long enough anymore or are useless comparative to bruisers, but they're doing well all around too. Singed, Malfight, Nunu, Sion, Volibear, Shen, etc. are doing quite nicely. Most champions are viable right now, even if it doesn't feel satisfying.
: Playing Against a Diamond Swain in a Silver Ranked Game
I played an unranked game as Yasuo, into a D4 Yasuo main on Yasuo, while having a D4 Yasuo main on Gragas on my team. That an unranked and Diamonds can come into the same game, even on Normals, is entertaining. (The best part is he had a level lead all of laning because I late leashed, and I still killed him first at level 5 while I had Vi support and he had Bard). Like this is a smurf without high mmr in Ranked regardless. But in ranked it does the same thing, despite having such a bad ratio. I'm very ready for a hard mmr reset honestly.
: Don’t forget that it also comes online earlier as well now. “Nice {{item:3068}} you have there. It’d be a shame if I rushed {{item:3071}} “
The irony in this, is that you picked the most cost efficient tank item besides Tabi. Sunfire is very powerful still on the right champions. However, something like Thornmail or Randuins certainly are not as worth it to the ratio of being forced for necessity.
: Why do you keep playing this game?
It's been addressed before many times, this is another method. They chose to shed light on some issues in an entertaining way, and give you suggestions on how to handle negativity based on how you felt about it. Seems more like you just want to complain about whatever comes your way.
: Mana is really a joke after 10 minutes. It used to be a limiting/strategic factor ("should i cast now or wait for a better chance?"), but now it's really not and abilities are all spammable. Can't remember the last time I actually ran out of mana on any of these champs, and Amumu is my main jungler right now. Jungle item plus blue buffs gives plenty of mana.
AP JG item was changed a few seasons back, and was done so because no AP jungler other than low income Elise could actually function or be consistently viable. Even then, Elise was nerfed into the ground for awhile, so quite literally, no AP junglers were good beyond a patch or two before falling off again. They were just too abusable, too weak, or too slow. Whether or not how they fixed it was good or bad is up for debate.
: ZILEAN
Zilean is fine. He doesn't need buffs or nerfs because he's a good champion, and has been performing well for a long time. It's almost admirable, really.
: Turret plating is honestly the worst thing I've ever seen added to the game next to rng scuttles
The idea is fine. Late game champions are running rampant just as well as early champions because they can still scale with their turret intact. Those who are winning lane needed some form of advantage for actually performing better than their enemy beyond a 12 CS advantage or the odd kill, because it's not enough if turrets remained standing after making a good play unless you shoved a numbers nerf on items across the board. Vlad would be permanently broken, Ezreal would get to spikes more often, GP gets to laugh and scale, etc. -- we have a problem with Rift granting the gold so well perhaps, or even a winning team rotating to take a lot of turret plates quickly -- but the idea was good to equalize those who are performing better to those who want a turret still standing. All it needs are number changes, such as diminishing returns on consecutive plates, or starting low and gaining increasing returns across all turrets. If you want to look at snowballing, look at how Baron respawns faster but Inhib respawns remained the same. Look at bounties starting at 4 minutes just for playing well so your early game being good can snowball a late champion. Look at scuttle walling off jungle help just by existing, but also needing help to obtain. Look at Rift being able to take 2 to 3 plates on a single charge that won't be easily stopped. Look at the cost efficiency of most tank items being mediocre to damage. There are many problems, plating was a good idea.
