Riot has shown they've completely lost touch with the majority of the playerbase and their Balancing all throughout Season 9 has been god awful. I'll still watch the occasional game or streamer, but I think after 5+ seasons, Riot has finally crushed all enjoyment I got from playing this game. k cool I still have fun with League, sorry you don't.

: As a veteran player, I feel treated like garbage by riot games.
> -Matchmaking is terrible. It's designed in a way to prevent loosing or winning streaks, to do its utmost to prevent new players from getting bored or frustrated, while sacrificing the gameplay experience of veteran players, that have a competitive spirit, looking the climb ranks. Yet people climb ranks every season. No algorithm is perfect (and I'm not going to say Riot's is as close as we have to perfect) but I wouldn't say it forces you to hold a 50% winrate. Generally speaking over a large sample of games you will have a positive winrate if you are a skilled enough player, as games consistently being 50/50's probably indicates that you're close to around your skill level. Some games do feel unfair when you have an AFK player or someone who flames their team a lot, but that's not something the algorithm can account for and it's something Riot Support will take care of as soon as the report reaches them. > -Riot games replaced the old client with a terrible excuse of a new one. The new client is only usefull in having appealing visuals and some fancy animations that may be flashy for somebody seeing the game for the first time. But it utterly lacks in functionality. And please also remove the legacy cursor, because of how disasterous of an impact it would have, when a new player accidentaly presses a wrong button in the menu and gets to see something so visually unappealling. Old client's lack of bugs was nice and I love it for the nostalgia. This new client has gone for too long with some of the issues that it has, but thankfully Riot has said that with the dropping of support for Windows XP they can finally iterate and create a more up to date client (which is being tested to select users on PBE right now) > -And Idk anymore where exactly I've read/heard it, but riot said they prefered true dmg instead of amor penetration, because the concept of true damage is much easier to understand for newer players. Meanwhile all the longtime players are complaining about how true damage is just so bad for the balance of the game, but who are these veterans to be concerned about. Feels like this statement probably needs its context to be reasonable. Doesn't feel like you can just rip this out of its context and have it not sound bad, but hey maybe I'm wrong. Neither of us seemingly know where you're referencing that they said this. > -I remember how I've grinded IP for 2+ months to buy all the runes I deemed useful. And all that, just turns into dust with the runes reforged, giving me an abysmally bad compensation in blue essence, that I'm already sick of collecting anyways. What in the world, do I even need 20 rune pages for, that I spent 30€ on purshasing, just to now edit a single one in champselect? Runes have always been slated to change with time (at the change in Season 8 was not the first time runes were changed drastically) however the compensation was not particularly desirable. On one hand at least we got something back at all but on the other hand some of our RP back would've been kinda nice. You purchase anything in a constantly updating game like this knowing that it will one day be iterated on again though, I think. > The new runes system is not even better than the old one. I had way more options to customize my strategy with the old one. Now I just go to probuild to copy paste the rune-choices for the champion I pick. IMO its only use is, to appeal to new players and make them exited to unlock a new rune when the hit lvl 12 or something and spare them from the grind it took back then. I think there's upsides to both rune systems. There was a lot of niche things that players could do (like 1% crit chance for example) that was kinda interesting but at the same time the amount of flexibility in the new Runes Reforged system is certainly more approachable for newer players. There's still a fair bit of variety you can do with your runes too if you're willing to be creative and test things out. There were people who copied runsets from pros with the previous rune system too, so it's not like that's something that just came about in Season 8. > -The worst of all, is reading the stories here on the boards, of players who play as long as I do, that get their accounts hacked, with somebody with an Egyptian IP playing, while using scripts and insulting everyone arround. Then they ask the support to get their perma-ban removed just to be condenscendingly told that their account security is their probleme, while riot games is still living in the stone age where verification options via phone were not a thing. It's obvious that these players have not done anything wrong, and the effort it would take for the support to remove an unjustified ban is 1 minute at most. And that is too much, for a, maybe even decade, long loyal customer to ask for? These options do exist now though (likely thanks to dropping the support for Windows XP).
: I mean, if we're being completely honest, not being able to show off your accomplishments _technically_ doesn't prevent you from playing games. If we define "gameplay" as the physical act of getting into a game with other people, playing that game, and concluding that game, being able to show your progression _technically_ doesn't fit into that model. Don't get me wrong, eternals still suck, but if there is one thing we can never accuse Riot of, it is false advertising. There are plenty of other rational, well-thought-out arguments to use, but it sounds to me like you're just making up an argument for the sake of stirring the pot.

Most people who come to the boards are looking to rant or complain about something. Cultivates a pretty negative atmosphere when it reality the League of Legends playerbase is not unanimously unsatisfied with the state of the game. They're just playing the game and talking elsewhere instead of hopping on the boards to submit whatever complaint they have. (Some areas such as Story, Art & Sound are exceptions to this because people aren't posting complaints there frequently because there's not much to complain about in that department, so it's a much more positive subset of the overall League population simply by nature of the subject of that part of the baords)

I'm especially glad about the Legacy Cursor part. It seemed like something that would be incredibly easy to maintain given it requires nearly no changes from patch to patch (or even Season to Season really) and I can't imagine its file size is anything significant at all. Glad you explained yourselves on this.

I hate it when my teammates literally make it a 4v5 and practically guarantee a loss, regardless of where the gamestate is. I've lost games where we were up 10.5k because we couldn't pull off the 4v5 and I've stalled out games where we were behind quite a lot of gold when one of our teammates left. If you want to climb you're going to have to make it easier on yourself and not add a bunch of losses to your name for free (unless you're seriously going to tell me you believe your team have a better chance of winning without you being there, in which case I think we know where a big problem lies in your games).

: Noob problems...?
New players start playing League every day, and while you're new you will be matched up with people of similar skill (or very low level accounts created by smurfs, but these will quickly be escalated to play with other smurfs, so you won't see them for long if at all). Welcome to League of Legends! Thanks for giving the game and community a chance. Consider using the Boards to ask for help or tips if you find yourself getting stuck while learning the game. Also: Don't be afraid to lose. It's part of learning, and League is a permanent learning experience since it's always changing. Just do your best and try to do better next time!

: Why is there so much advertising for League?
I've recommended this game to at least 45 different friends (online and IRL) and while not all of them have stuck with the game, many of them did at least play for a season if they aren't still playing to this day. Also, you probably found out about this game via advertising (or having someone recommend the game to you) so.... does that not speak for itself?
: How many Neurons would be necessary for a learning AI in League?
I know you said just wondering, but I feel the need to say this anyway: _Bot accounts are not allowed in League_. I'm not saying that you are intending to make one, but I'm just saying that as a preemptive bit of information just in case.

I don't do it for ranked but it makes normals way better to play. Could it possibly be that you are playing in normals while high (a queue that is typically seen as less competitive than ranked) and in ranked while not high? They may look similar enough, but each queue has separate MMRs and intentions (typically people are trying their best champions in Ranked, while they are playing whatever in normals). Perhaps you just need to be high to play well, but I suspect that there may be a little more to it than that.
: are we ever going to get a replacement for the loss of intervention?
I'm not sure being able to deal out extremely high damage per second while simultaneously getting a shield that literally makes you invincible is a combination that is all that healthy for the game, let alone getting a reset on the invincibility (most likely for getting a kill like most other resets in the game).. As far as putting it on an enchanter I wouldn't get your hopes up too high sadly... The last true enchanter we got (besides Yuumi) was Nami in 2013. It could very well be a few seasons again before we get another enchanter (2023 enchanter, anyone?) and even then the invincibility support is somewhat covered by Taric (and to a lesser degree, Zilean). This is not to say that it couldn't happen, but I don't think it would happen soon.

: I receive Chat Ban for this????
I'd guess that you received a punishment for constantly arguing in chat. While it's fine to try and quickly settle a difference if you spend the entire game doing that to the point where it becomes a trend across several games, I think there might be an issue. Constant arguments about the same thing are incessant and relatively pointless if it just drags on and on forever... plus it just fosters an increasingly negative mood for your teammates. Suggestion: While it's fine to try and settle your differences for a short while, if you can't find some agreement with the other player just **mute them** and move on. You'll spend more time playing the game instead of typing and you might experience a more positive (or at least less negative) mood across your games. It's a pretty minor offense so this might seem trivial, but we do appreciate you not intentionally being aggressive or toxic to your teammates. Constant arguing (even with good intention) just eventually starts to cross into the same territory if it never resolves ^^; {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-rainbows}}

For those of us that like to play Twisted Treeline but also want to participate in League Events (especially those with Token Grinding, Missions, and other Passes) we basically feel punished if we play Twisted Treeline since it's excluded from those features almost always. :( I know Twisted Treeline is probably the least popular mode right now, but we who do play it would play it more if we weren't forced to stop play it whenever an event comes around! {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-rainbows}}
: Collective thoughts on Kalista updates/
I don't personally think this would solve Kalista (it sounds like an overall nerf to her kit to me and if you buff her numbers to make up for it I'm afraid she'll turn into a Draven with more tools) but I love any attempt at talking about her. 1. You never said what you'd be doing with her passive besides taking the hop off of it. Would it just remain as her AutoAttack modifier (90% damage, can't be cancelled unless vision is lost on target)? Would it become something else? * While I feel like giving Kalista E an indicator would help new players pick her up, I feel like it would also be exploited even more by pros. For a long, long time Cho'Gath's execute had a really bad indicator because it was considered to be a "necessary challenge" for his kit, and I feel like the same would be argued here for Kalista. * I think the direction you took on her hops was interesting though. Not sure it would be the best possible way of doing it (her hops feel like a lot of her identity to me personally) but I'd be interested in at least exploring the option.

: About Sona's lore...
I like to believe that Sona holds a very pivotal position in the Lore of League of Legends, and that is why we've seen hints of her everywhere without seeing a direct update to her yet. I feel like she needs a lot of other pieces of lore built up before she can reveal her own~ Pure speculation, but I don't think it's all that unlikely that something like this could be how Riot is operating. If nothing else it makes me feel good.

Nexus Blitz was intended to become a permanent gamemode if it succeeded enough in Riot's eyes. They never claimed it would for sure be permanent, especially right out of the get go. Primary reason they can get away with that for Teamfight Tactics is because the idea has been around for awhile and has shown significant promise. There's always the chance it fails a few months down the road, but so far it has been very popular (even if it's not your personal cup of tea). I've convinced friends to come back to League simply because they like the Teamfight Tactics gamemode and found that Summoner's Rift wasn't their cup of tea.

: rethink ranked mode
I don't speak French unfortunately but I'll try to respond as best as I can. #English: How would you go about determining if someone has a healthy mentality for ranked? While it certainly sounds nice to just "check every single player's mentality through a survey" how would you go about making this survey work? Would you have to take it every time before you queue up for a ranked game? Would it happen every patch? Every 3 months? Every season? What would even be on the survey? "Do you flame people?"? I'm not sure a questionnaire like this could accurately tell if someone has a tendency to easily give up or not. How would you get around people lying or just choosing "the correct answers" instead of what they actually believe / would do? Cheating is also very possible on these sorts of things. I love League of Legends as well and toxic players do make it more difficult to enjoy some games, but the most you can do unfortunately is focus on yourself and doing your part as well as you can every game. You will eventually climb the ranks if you play enough games and do well in as many of them as possible! ^^ (This message will be converted into French via Google Translate below, since I don't speak French unfortunately. :( Apologies in advance for any inaccuracies in the translation!)

: At what time does Riot usually release new champs/skins and start events?
I don't know a hard time Riot uses for everything, but I would suggest keeping in mind that Riot Games primarily operates out of the Pacific Coast, and that Rioters likely have to go to work and then activate the new event / content / patch / whatever. So if (for example) it's 7AM for you on the East Coast, it's only 4AM at Riot Games HQ in California. Sorry that I don't know the exact time Riot uses to release whatever content (they usually specify per event if it's anything particularly outside of the norm). My best guess would be that you can expect updates to drop anywhere from midnight to just a bit after noon, Pacific Time, but that's just a guess.

Chests should have the potential to reveal whatever content **is available at the time that you open the chest, regardless of when you earned it**. (I.e. a chest you received three months ago but only opened today could possibly reveal one of the new Arcade skins). Hope this helps!

The best thing I can tell you would be to [Submit a Support Ticket to Riot Support](https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new) and describe your issue as best you can to them. Since it is an issue tied to your account and your confidential data/information, there's not much any of us outside of Riot can do to help you further. (I'm not sure which Request Type you'd select for this, but I'd suggest "RP purchases, store issues" over "Account management, data requests, or deletion" personally).
: HOW TO CHANGE GRAPHICS OUTSIDE GAME??
Have you tried pressing Control and the Up / Down Arrow Keys? To my knowledge that will change the size of the client. If you're talking about modifying the resolution that the game itself runs in, I'd just open up a custom game (or a Co-op vs AI match) and change your resolution in there through the in-game menus. ^^; Hopefully this helps!

: Is it possible to move league of legends off of one drive onto another and have it function right?
I would just reinstall on your other drive personally (although I'd maybe copy over any replays to the new replay folder on your other drive) but that's just me personally. I imagine either way League of Legends would still function if you did it right.

: TFT looks boring so I've not played it yet - that and the ridiculous Q times..

The queue times are near instant now. The only time they were long was when TFT was on PBE (and that was just trying to log in) and for the first few hours of TFT being on live servers.

: When is "My shop" coming?
: (to be) support main needs Mid-lane help
If you're looking for champions with very strong roaming potential, I'd recommend Talon, Katarina, or Aurelion Sol. All three of these champions are notoriously good at roaming (especially to a bot lane that isn't paying attention) to farm double kills. Galio may be another champion to consider. He's not as common midlane anymore, but he's still viable there in my opinion. He's beefy (like Thresh and Braum are) and his engage and peel is outstanding. His ultimate would also allow for some roaming plays, although I'd say his roaming isn't quite as good as Katarina or Talon or the like. Nocturne is an off meta midlaner that I like to pick sometimes, and he is outstanding as far as roaming is concerned. Merely leaving lane and pressing R is enough to scare most sidelaners back to their tower. He has struggles with a somewhat simplistic kit and getting poked out, but you might consider him for some matchups. If you're going to be running Teleport, you can make some other champions decent picks as well if roaming is your main concern. Renekton is one of the strongest early game champions and his ability to kill his laner and then teleport for a play elsewhere is practically unmatched. He does fall off, but if you're looking to roam and push your (hopeful) lead early on he might be the guy for you! Kennen also has fairly good ganks with Teleport combined with his Ultimate. He's also viable in several positions (Top/Mid/Bottom) so he could be a pick you can use in multiple situations. ^^; I'm not 100% sure I understood your question correctly, but I'm happy to help as best as I can. Worst case scenario, try something out for yourself and see what you can do with it! You'll eventually get a chance to try something else if it doesn't work out for you.
: Who actively plays ranked TT?
I do, and several others do too. It may not be hundreds of thousands like Summoner's Rift but there's still more than a few hundred of us for sure :(

: These seem like they could take a very very long time to complete if you mainly play arams.

If it makes you feel any better the time it would take to complete these on ARAM is nothing compared to the time it would take to complete these if you only played Twisted Treeline :(
