Problem is the player count. Diamond 3 to Challenger is 1.5ish percent of the player base. Meanwhile Masters to Challenger is .14% of the player base. Yes the skill difference is much bigger, but at least with diamond 3 players, they are actively trying to get into high diamond/masters/grandmasters. And it is good practice for them to get better.

The tiers should be weighed by the average of all members of the team, since Riot did say that they were aiming to "not allow" smurfs.

You literally quoted, what I said at the top of my statement. Again. "First off, I am a solid believer of forcing people back into one lane." LITERALLY the first thing I said. The reason why I believe that, this should be a thing is that it makes the game near impossible to balance. Look at heimer. He is played in 3 positions atm. Top, Mid, Bot. None of the lanes actually want to deal with him. But his whole kit is why he can play those lanes. Ryze and Kennen. By all means, Kennen is a top laner. I haven't seen that champion go in the mid lane other than for niche champions or for a purpose. He isn't a champion that you will see mid all that often. He is more commonly a top laner. The reason why he doesn't go mid is because he is easily harassable by 90% of mid laners. Ryze on the other hand, shouldn't be up top. But the problem comes down to the fact that they made his kit easier to play now, and that because he is a scaling champion. Scaling champions will go where ever the fuck they want, and you really can't stop them. Because they do the same thing regardless of what position they go in. Kayle, Cass, Ryze, Vayne, etc. They will go where they want because even if they lose, they will outscale the other champions, or catch up at the very least. My solution to Ryze as he is right now is as follows. 1: Turn his E into a skillshot, that marks the first target that it hits and the area BEHIND the target that it hits. Travel speed can be 2,000. The AoE range of the area behind the first target can be 200 units at a 45 degree spread (Will have extra shit added). This will lower his safety net by a lot against a bunch of champions. (Will explain counter buffs after the nerfs) 2: W is now a slow + ground, no longer is a snare. Empowered W is now a stronger slow and ground. Something like 1.25 > 2 seconds. 40% slow. But can now hit multiple units within 100 units of the selected target. 1a: range on AoE is increased by 25 per 500 bonus mana (which comes out to like 150 additional range at the 5th item, meaning the max range unless you do some troll ass build would be 350 range after the first target is hit) 2a: this gives ryze more bad match ups because he can't just simple E W Q phase rush away. because you are snared for 1.5 seconds. But instead you are slowed for 40% and can't dash. Meaning that champions like Singed, Darius, Trundle, GP, Cho, Garen, Mundo, etc etc etc have a better time against him. While champions like Yasuo, Fiora, Irelia, Akali, etc still have around the same level of irritation against him. This makes it so that he isn't auto win against the first group, while still not int-ing to the second group. This W change also affects mid a lot. Since he will no longer be able to get that level 2 E W first blood for this jungler as easy without the enemy mid laner completely miss positioning.

Because that doesn't happen until 60 minutes into the game, and the game will end by 70 minutes. I don't think anyone has a problem with this because, we know that some team out there would literally play the games out to max timer if possible. Its not a matter of when it will happen, its a matter of when it will happen. No one in that bracket wants to wait an hour for one team that is trolling everyone. and upward of 2 hours. To play 3 games. Totaling a time of like three to four hours. I wouldn't do this myself, but I know some friends that have already tried. So. Yeah.

It took my 9 months to get my honor from whatever it starts out at, at the beginning of the season. To honor level 5. And I was honor level 5 since the honor system came out. Literally played like 400-500 games this season. So... Of which 80% of them were with parties of 3/4+ myself included. And like 100-150 of them were by myself. From what I have come to the conclusion of is. If you play by yourself, or with one other. You'll get honor faster than people who play with multiple people.

Making a rank vs holding a rank is completely different. I can make diamond 2, but I can't hold it. Doesn't make me a diamond 2 level player. If he held rank 1 spot in two or three of the top four regions. Then I could understand that. But its just silly to say Best Solo Queue Player off of that. I am not saying that he isn't up there. But there are times when things fit your play style and times that things don't fit your play style.

Worlds best solo queue player? Umm.. Dopa? It swings to ways. Next season 100% is going to be bot lane, because top lane literally won't matter again. The only change they did that made this happen was remove the true damage from conqueror. The rune has for too long, been too problematic. It made tanks disappear unless you over completely overtuned or had a counter kit.

You can't do that nowadays because every wants to just play a 15 minute game and go on to the next game. What fun is that? You're going to win because the enemy team is playing ultimate bravery. No one is having fun, because you shouldn't be having fun beating a AP Garen, or a AP Riven. The community as a whole has forgotten the things that made League fun. Everyone is just so eager to get into the next game that they can't enjoy this game that they are currently in.

I could give less of a shit if Ryze were to get gutted. I've moved on to other champions. What I am sick of seeing is people deciding flavors of the month. Because they haven't learned how to play the game, and feel like they deserve to win. You deserve to win when you play the game correctly. In that scenario. and if you didn't know after this year at worlds. I'm 100% sure that Ryze is getting reworked next year. Because he is again a prio in the pro scene while being trash as you climb solo queue up until you get into grandmaster/challenger. Where people know how to play the game on a fundamental level. Here we go again with Ryze was picked by the pros. And Pantheon has a 100% ban rate according to pros. According to the pros, you need to gut Pantheon because they are all that matter as well. Because every single player in solo queue is on the level of professionals, and have a professional level of understanding. Heres some news I don't think you have quiet caught. Ryze is extremely good when in an organized setting thanks to his ultimate. If we want to talk about pro only cases. Lets talk about buffs. Shaco on the strong patch for Shaco, didn't get any play. lets buff him. Eve also didn't get any play as well, lets buff her. Malzahar saw no play, lets buff him. Darius is clearly weak because he didn't get played. So we have to buff him too. Ashe is also weak since she didn't get any play, so lets buff the living shit out of her. Twitch, Kayn, and Hec didn't see any play either. Cool lets buff the ever living hell out of them. We live in a world where everyone can execute everything on the same level as pros, and don't even need comms to execute it on that level. Gotcha. Didn't get the memo that I was a challenger level player. Better start playing like one, instead of Tyler1 running it down. The argument that "Pros are playing it" doesn't mean shit when I know that people can't execute it on that level until you get to challenger. And even then, they still do not have voice comms.
: I know that is on me. I main support. And I have learned. ive obtained alot of knowledge playing for 4 seasons. Still can't get past silver. Those ppl who did unranekd to challenger. just play offensive champions and they have the reflexes of a small child on a sugar rush. And they also happen to have already had the ability to be challenger day 1 and is also only 1 percent of the community. a super tiny blip of the population.
There are ways to carry as support. Practice makes perfect. Pick up someone like Leona, Morg, or Thresh. They are very good champions to use to climb with in the support role. Because you get to decide when you win the lane, or if you lose the lane. Since support determines how ADCs get to play. I've been playing a bunch of ADC recently. The first thing you should always ask your ADC is how do you like to play? Are you Aggressive or Passive? And account for that accordingly. I will lose 100% of the time if my Support is passive, and win 85% of the time if my support is as aggressive as I am. For ADC and Support is it about communication and trust. If he or you miss play. Don't go about flaming each other. Work out the kinks and figure out what you can do better next time so that you don't do that same miss play. Its not a tall task to get out of silver. If you are struggling mechanically. That is the easiest thing to solve. Believe it or not, solving Macro problems is much harder than solving Micro problems. Micro problems can be solved via playing the game a sheer number of times, or going into practice tool and repeating it until it becomes instinct. Where as macro problems are something you have to identify as they come up, since no two games will ever truly pan out the same. What calls to make when and how to execute those calls. And if you don't trust your ADC play damage. As the saying goes, if you want something done right. Do it yourself.

Also wow Look at this, a DoT mage and a Machine Gun Mage are building the same items! Lets go to Assassins. Oh look a Ludens, Sorcs, Morello, Void, Rabadons, and Zhonyas on LeBlanc. Meanwhile Lux is Ludens, Sorcs, Void, Rabadons, Zhonya's, and Banshee (because she is against the LB). The question isn't "Why are AP items broken." As much as "How do we fix AP items?" And to that note, you can't. High Ratios mean more damage, which means higher AP yield items are better. Low Ratios mean less damage, meaning you need to supplement damage from items. You first have to normalize the damage ratios between all AP champions, and champions that work best with AP scaling. Set that as base line, then do a systematic rework to AP items. Making them dependent on what type of champion you are. A Diver. Alright you need HP, AP, and 5% CDR. An Assassin. Alright you need AP. A DoT Mage. You need item Damage such as Torment. A Machine Gun Mage. You want Scaling AMP damage (Something like You gain 5% increased damage scaling up to 75% per spell casted on an enemy champion. Making them stack 15 spells to get capped.) A artillery mage. You need AP and CDR. <<< Which is what breaks the system right here. Because too low of AP value, they just go the Assassin items. Too high of AP value, assassins go their items. Too high of CDR, Divers go their items, and too low of CDR then they go Diver Items. This is before accounting for AP tanks. THEN YOU GET INTO TANKS. DoT AP Tank. Mixes over with DoT mages, which isn't the worse since they are both DoT. But lets take a look at AD champions. AD Bruisers. HP, AD, and CDR. AD Assassins. Leathality, AD, and CDR. ADC. Attack Speed, Crit/On-Hit, AD. AD wtf else. Whatever the fuck Yasuo is. Bruisers gain very little from Lethality, and would lose more from HP. AD assassins, gain a bit from HP, but lose their one shot potential without Lethality. ADC lose lots of damage, if they build anything that isn't for an ADC. You don't get this with Mages. There aren't trade offs like this because it is systematically improbable for it to happen.
Also I didn't account for the General play styles of the AD champions. One wants to stay as far as possible to deal damage. One wants to jump on you and blow you up. One wants to run at you and soak a bit of damage while trying to kill you. (Not this season obviously, since it is after all damage meta where everyone just blows everyone else up). But mages all have the same goal, with the AP assassins. Click Q W E R and kill you. The method in which they click Q W E R is slightly different, but the same concept at a fundamental level. Meanwhile, you have to account for Q W E R on AD champions which also clicking right click. Obviously, there is a bunch of generalization here. But there is more that differs AD champions than AP champions, by simply having that Right Click Mechanic. Majority of mages are fine without ever having to Right Click on the enemy champion.

If you are unable to get passed silver that is on you. The company shouldn't be the ones that make it so that you can easily make it into gold. The because the difference from silver to gold isn't even much. You can just learn game macro, or champion micro. And guess what you'll be in gold in no time if you just learn. You know how many people have done unranked to challenger, or bronze to gold, or unranked to diamond. Its not like getting passed silver is impossible. Again it falls on the player to learn how to play the game at those levels. I'm hardstuck mid diamond because I literally am brain dead once I get out of my own lane. and Wow look at that, I haven't been focused on getting better at the game so I haven't improved since when I stopped improving. Its funny how that works. There are somethings everyone is allowed to complain about, that you can not control. Spear of Shojin, Rage blade, Yasuo, Soon to be Elder Execute, etc. Those things are naturally broken. But even with them being broken, I've managed to learn how to play around it. Except Spear of Shojin, you don't really play around it because its normally activated when you are about to get stunned or CC'd. No real way to play around that.

Anyone else ever, just get into a game and find the first thing that happens and insta tilt? My trigger currently is when I miss my first CS at 6 minutes. That shit pisses me off and I go on full tilt, and kill the enemy laner because now I have to find a way to make up that gold I lost from missing that one cannon at 6 minutes. :REEEEEE:

Three ways to check if they are a smurf. 1: Ask 2: Check OP.GG 3: Watch how they react in the game. (Its extremely easy to tell when someone is smurfing outside of their own elo, because they don't make the mistakes that their team mates are making).

Tell me how you solve the problem of Ziggs and Leblanc. Leblanc gets the same value out of AP as Ziggs (theoretically speaking, not literally) But they have completely different play styles. Do you make an AP item that has when a champion is within 200 range, they take increased damage by 20% for akali, sylas, leblanc, etc and an Ap item that has when a champion is outside of 800 range, they take increased damage by 15% for Xerath, Lux, Ziggs? Then you are left with Ryze, Cass, Viktor, Azir, TF, etc. Whom are in the golden range of both sets where they want It to be between 201 range and 799 range. Every AP champion wants that. (Other than Sylas, Akali, and Ekko) But they also benefit from within 200 range, and outside of 800 range. But that is in situational play. That is just the range difference. Then when you get down to the nitty gritty. Do you emphasis continuous spell cast like Ryze, Azir, Cass, Kass, Karthus with an Item like for each spell that damages the same enemy champion increase the damage output by 4% per spell up to 40% increased damage? Or do you make an item that does a flat 25% increased damage on the spell after clicking R for Syndra, LB, Akali, Sylas? I am only using increased damage as a consistency. AP Itemization is really bad not because the items themselves are bad, but because how varied the AP champions are. Where as in the AD portion of the game, the game items and champions are defined by Ranged/Melee skill sets being locked by the skill set. Mages don't have locked skill sets like AD champions do. Few AD champions have ranged attacks like Viktor, and few Mages have Dashes like Riven. (Assassins/Divers don't count as mages)

AD's don't get a very strong OPTION??????? WHAT ARE YOU SAYING? Steraks, Maw, Adaptive Helm, Mercs/Ninja Tabi. ADC's don't get a very big option. AD's do. AD casters and brusier get a massive option, because they are also able to tap into tank items.

Everyone says that Zhonya's is the best item in the game, but as a battle mage player. I would much rather prefer a AP QSS. Run Cleanse + QSS = Never going to fucking die. I'll trade Zhonyas for a QSS anyday. Because at least with Zhonyas going to AD, it means it gets gutted because champions like Riven, Irelia, Darius, could all use it. Making it too accessible to too many champions. Meanwhile mages are looking to fit different items into their builds. Majority of the time I don't even get a Zhonya's because it doesn't fit into my build well unless they are all AD or all burst. But you know what can always fit into my build? QSS, because everyone has CC. Give me QSS on Zhonya's stats, and you can have Zhonyas on Maw's Stats. It would take care of aids champions with 50 dashes in the mid lane getting a zhonyas. Fizz, Kass, Kata, Akali, Ekko. They also lose a bunch of power because they can't just R Q W E Zhonya Blink/Dash away. Now top laners and adc's get to deal with a Riven with shielding, dashes, CC, and Zhonyas. :) I don't even care about ADC's having access to Zhonyas. Fuck it give it to them, because if AD champions get a Zhonyas. Its getting gutted. its going to have a 120 second CD.

The overall problem is that Riot has changed to only balance for the Pro Scene. Ardent could have been avoided completely. Funnel could have been avoided. Spellthief top could have been avoided. Want to know how all of those could have been avoided? If riot actually looked at what was going on in Solo Queue. They have all of the stats, all of the numbers, the SubReddit, the boards, the discords, etc. Yet they do nothing with those communities. They are too far gone to notice anything that We As Normal Players have to deal with. They don't notice any of the bullshit that goes on in our games because they are too focused on what is going on in Pro Play. I would be happy with a pro scene where they are playing the same 50 champions, if solo queue was actually balanced. The way that League of Legends goes about balancing/changing the game is rather awful. Right now we are in the "change basic rules" of league of legends, to change the game. Noticeably Disarm, Obscure, Summoner Spell Taking, Scuttle, etc. This wouldn't be a problem if the changes to the game were uniform to everyone. If everything is even on both sides then it wouldn't be a problem. Akali and Irelia were massive problems up until Disarm and Obscure were removed. Because those mechanics were wow would take a look. Unfair. Zoe as a champion is unfair. Scuttle is a bit of a bigger picture problem. Not going to get into this one, but basically speed of the game makes jungle feel really bad compiled with base mechanics such as death timers. If they want to change something to change the meta, change fundamental things that affect everyone. Gold Generation, Gold Gain via Minion Kills, Death Timers, Respawn timers on camps, Epic Monster buffs, etc. But changing a champion because they are new and giving them bullshit mechanics is not how you make a game fun and fair. its how you bring about the death of your own game.

Has anyone here tried Wukong or Master Yi into heimer? Those two do very well into heimer. E Q in as Wu and W out. Turrets will do like 150 damage to you tops. If you proc elec. You've done like 280 damage.

Is it fair to assume that this is out of pocket? Because no matter how I look at it, this seems very out of pocket to me. You did good, even though the company should have taken care of it themselves.
