The general idea looks good, but I think it’s a bit too complicated for Demacia’s aesthetics. It’d be nice to see him get a VU that brings him up to current standards and aligns him more with his LoR appearance someday.
: I know that they stated this, but I really gotta ask.... how did they split her into Camille? Because she is a hitman? Because Husk was paralysed while Camille replaced her own legs with blades? I can see the resemblence with Kai'Sa, but I have a hard time finding Camille in Husk. Both their appearance and personality are pretty different, it seems.
Husk’s sharp, pointed facial features and seemingly haughty attitude are very reminiscent of Camille’s, not to mention the whole “lower body replaced by machinery” thing which you mentioned. While the jetpack and ranged weapon seem to have gone into Kai’Sa’s development, I see more of Camille in Husk than Kai’Sa, tbh.

: I think there could be a way to reconcile the both of them: - Ult completely changes in Valor, but keeps the current mechanics except: - Attacking or Casting Q/E don't return her to range form - Valor has 125 attack range as a melee, 0.694 base AS and +1 base AD/level (bonus stats for being melee) - In-combat, Valor's bonus MS is reduced to a flat 25 - Harrier remains active while being Valor (unlike old Tag Team) - animation changed to the enemy being marked by arrows from nowhere instead of bird from nowhere - Quinn form and Valor Form completely share cooldowns (DO NOT make her a shapeshifter) - Valor Q is a player-based AoE - Closest enemy hit is marked with Harrier, prefering champions over minions - Valor E is a dash that leaves him in AA range ---- As a fellow Quinn & Valor enthusiast, would that work? Or have I a snag somewhere in my thought process?
These are precisely the kind of changes I'd like to see, as they restore much of the flavor and gameplay that was lost from pre-rework Quinn's kit while causing as little disruption to current Quinn players as possible (simply activating Skystrike would allow the return back to ranged form).

Do you think {{champion:133}} falls under the 'incompatible audiences' issue? Many players seem to want the melee assassin playstyle back as Valor, but there are also those who picked her up after the rework and thus prefer the current map mobility-focused ult. Personally, I wonder if there's a way to satisfy both parties, maybe by combining the two ults for example--though I'm not sure how sustainable that'd be balance-wise.

This speaks a lot about the two characters, imo. Morgana is wounded by Kayle’s actions and doesn’t really shy away from expressing that pain. Kayle, on the other hand, is trying to become the impartial Aspect of Justice — wearing a steely exterior to hide her pain (until it inevitably boils to the surface in high pressure moments, like her death).

I'd love to know more about her mysterious rivalry with Talon. You're not being ignored and this isn't being lost in the depths of the boards :) Let me make sure I'm understanding you correctly - When you say we're moving away from teasers, what kinds are you referring to? In-game easter eggs on PBE? A video teaser before we show the gameplay trailer? For every champion, we (the publishing team) think about the best way to intro the champion to players. It's not something we decide lightly - we spend a lot of time talking and planning. Sometimes we do something that doesn't work, which feels bad. But we try to remember those learnings. [Yuumi](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZWEV3bACZo) and [Qiyana](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVuWMbmHEWw) did have champion teasers that came out before the main gameplay trailer. To shed some light on that process, we spent a lot more time and resources on those videos (esp. the 3D intros of the [Qiyana](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cttriTiPjuU) and [Yuumi](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZWEV3bACZo) Trailer) than we have in our past champ videos.. and I think the overall quality surpasses a lot of the stuff we showed in the past (besides the million $ CGs of course). We didn't do an in-game Easter Egg for Yuumi and Qiyana, but that doesn't mean it's off the table! In fact, we have one in the works... The point is that we're going to work on cool stuff that we think you'll like to see and it won't always be the same every time. For the login screens, yeah the loss of login screens really sucks. Part of it is out of my control. Like, you won't actually be able to see them anymore with the new client. That doesn't mean we gave up. We asked, what do people like about the login screens? An answer we got was that they really brought the champion and the thematic to life. Esp. with the awesome music. So for Pantheon, we created a [Champion Theme](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Zub8agQjrw) that showed off more of the love we put into the art behind-the-scenes, and how the champion came to life over time. Over some really dope music. Do people like it more than the old login screen videos we did? I dunno, it depends on your taste :P But the point is, we're going to keep experimenting with ways on how we reveal our stuff in a meaningful way.
Can I just hop in to say I loved the new Pantheon champion theme video showcasing his musical score and concept artwork? While I'll miss the old login screens, that was definitely a step up in my book and I can't wait to see more for future champions and VGUs!

This is something I don't like in the lore, to me it's a nice idea by doesn't work because of how it's told to work. According to this even just trapping Aatrox in his sword meanted that the 'concept' he merged with ceased to exist. WAAAAARGHbobo even says "What would happen if the very idea of war was deleted..." Aatrox killed War/Pantheon. This has just happened. No more war. Peace for all. But even having Ascended merge with concepts to give them power was a weird thing. Why can't they just be beings who went through some ritual and came out as magic gods? It's the explanation too far for me, trying to explain magic when it's not needed. What I mean is "They get the power from a cosmic source of power." Then stop, no more explanation needed. According to this, Aspect and Ascended's power come from the same place but Ascended don't represent anything, they are their own people with their own goals, so the 'concepts' they take their power from don't matter, or shouldn't.
WAAAARGHBOBO mentions in that very thread that killing war wouldn’t end war itself. Not a satisfying answer in my opinion but it seems that the death of a concept simply entails people losing the ability to recognize or comprehend the concept.

In one of Riot’s AMAs, a writer mentioned that destroying the Aspect of War wouldn’t be “all sunshines and rainbows.” Presumably, this means that the death of an Aspect (and therefore, the celestial concept/ideal they represent) does not in fact end the physical manifestation of said concept — as seen when Aatrox continued to wage war shortly after killing Pantheon — but rather, it makes it so people are not really able to perceive or recognize the concept for what it really is. It’s hard imagining not being able to understand a concept as primitive as war, or how this would affect other Aspects such as the Sun and Moon (does everyone just stop noticing them in the sky?), but interesting nonetheless! Makes me wonder if Riot themselves know what concept Aatrox represented back when he was an Aspect.

With so many anti-stealth effects added to champion abilities recently such as LeBlanc’s E I was surprised not to see Quinn among them given that going toe to toe with melees and providing vision are two of the greatest strengths in her kit. In the list of champion changes, did you consider giving her W reveal a true sight effect, or perhaps her Harrier mark? This is something I’ve been wanting for a while actually as it also ties into her lore where she is the only one within Demacia who is able to find and eliminate covert assassins.

Personally, I just don’t feel the region is unique enough to provide any real interest outside of the factions we already have. Elemental society with architecture built to harmonize with nature? Ionia. Isolationist government? Demacia’s got that covered. Shrouded from sight by a mist that protects it from outsiders? That was the Blessed Isles’ thing. I guess it’s cool that it’s situated in a massive rainforest (we didn’t have one of those yet AFAIK), and the arcologies are an interesting concept too, but the rest of the region’s identity doesn’t feel unique enough, IMO. Or as you said, maybe we’re just missing more information to make it truly stand out.

: What are you talking about? We got so many "ok, we'll listen to the playerbase" changes with the Quinn rework. Between 5.20 and 5.22 We got our blind back, W passive to actually be worth something, higher ratios on just about everything, harrier to deal actually good damage and a ton of bug-fixes especially on E. Riot was very clear that the old ult could not stay, but they made sure everything else was to our liking
They’re completely reverting the Teemo changes here, as opposed to saying “We’re sorry you miss placing mushrooms as Teemo, but that aspect of the champion is just not coming back” which is what they did with Quinn in spite of the overwhelmingly negative feedback towards her ultimate changes.

It’s hard to say without official data. She certainly doesn’t feel as powerful anymore these days, though to be fair that’s pretty anecdotal and I don’t really play the game as much as I used to anymore which will of course affect how I perform on the champion. My main issue with her current state is Valor’s lack of involvement and how linear and straightforward her kit has become. She doesn’t have a lot of high moments anymore and the opportunistic melee assassin playstyle is sorely missed. I think a small, partial revert to her ult that allows her to fight as Valor again for the duration would be a great boon to her fun factor without affecting her current kit too much, but that’s just wishful thinking on my part, I guess.

I think while it’s true most people will use the auto-login feature from here on out, it’s also really saddening to see we won’t be getting animated login screens and champion music themes anymore. That was a highly anticipated feature of champion releases and I think it’s highly valid to feel disappointed by this change. Hell I was really looking forward to seeing what they’d do with Quinn’s new theme once she got her VGU; that’s not even a possibility anymore though.

I would have loved to live in a place like the Blessed Isles while it was still around. It was a pacifistic utopia full of magic and mystery, with amazing architecture and scenery to boot!

Beatrice was the name of pre-rework Swain's raven (he only had one back then). New Swain was given an in-game joke animation/voice line that refers to Beatrice as a nod to his pre-rework companion, but it probably isn't canon given how far-out and fourth wall-breaking most in-game jokes are. Assuming it is canon though, Swain probably just named one of his demon crows Beatrice himself -- but that isn't an indication of the demon's real name by any means, if it even has one. Players just refer to the demon as such nowadays because it's easier that way.

{{champion:133}} and {{champion:91}} are rivals and share a suspiciously high amount of visual, gameplay, and thematic similarities.
: To be fair, that's a lot for any one person to remember, and relatively useless information at that (Sinful Succulence isn't even available in the store anymore). Still, it takes a 5 second Google search to find the price tier of these skins. Maybe they don't need to know the pricing off-hand, but if you're sitting down to update an existing skin, at least figuring out the general aim of these skins would be useful.
Not to mention Jinxylord is a game designer, NOT an artist or QA analyst or product manager or what have you. I don’t blame him for not knowing. That’s not his territory at all.

I agree. I also think the Tag Team concept was a cool and unique way of expressing their partnership in game, even if the visuals and mechanics of it needed work. There aren’t many ranger characters out there who can switch places with their animal companions, at least that I can think of.
