: Why doesn't league have a game based around it's lore already?
Legit all they would have to do is just get legit a handful of people and just have them make some Metroidvania or ARPG with league characters and I'd be happy with this. Like Hollow Knight was made by like 3 people and it's one of the best games ever made.

Are, are you one of those guys Fogged destroyed in his unranked to challenger? Trust me, he's not even laning against another person, he literally just splitpushes, farms 300 cs in 30 mins and wins the game.

: Spear of Shojin is what has him out of line suddenly. He was trying to step out of line before it's release and had gotten poked back into place - Then they dropped Spear, and his Cooldowns disappeared due to him having access to an auto reset in his kit, often building a second auto reset, and having the stacking attack speed+Spear. If he has it and pops his R, he basically has no significant cooldown on any of his kit due to being able to launch those first several autoattacks extremely quickly, stacking his passive and resetting his cooldowns. Honestly, spear has been an interesting attempt at an item, and DEFINITELY serves the purpose it's meant to - But it just feels so horrible to play against from the viewpoint of anyone who doesn't use it. Champs who have been balanced in certain ways for years suddenly have access to their abilities far more often with it, and it honestly just doesn't feel good to face a champ who suddenly goes URF on you. On that note, I'ma go try SoS Diana in a norm.

: I've gone 14 consecutive games without getting my primary role. This is not acceptable.
You guys need to realize what state the game really is in. The game is literally in bleedout of people and Riot invested way too much in pro play and a side effect of that was proguides. Proguide companies require high rank (Diamond) to play a huge amount of games so they can make stats, charts, and tier lists and tell people what's strong in the meta. Since many people hate what league has become and ditched the game, Riot forced autofill and rank acceleration to fill the gaps and they intentionally use an algorithm to keep a majority of people in select ranks for the stats.
: angry man yells at sky i literally have no idea what point you're trying to make in this comment.
ok Ninja Tabi is not for defense, it's for trading in fights adc's and bruisers buy this to gimp the enemy damage with the passive over dealing more damage with Zerks. Zhonyas isn't designed to make a mage actually tank it's an oh shit button if they get caught out or cc'd before they can 100-0 someone. So both of these items are strong with armor, but they aren't tank items. Meanwhile {{item:3110}} {{item:3143}} barely affect adcs and don't deal with ad casters and the items are expensive with little payout. There are no lategame tank items that effectively counter raw attack damage, {{item:3075}} counters sustain and that's it.
Teëmð (NA)
: Maybe finally nerf assassins and melee ad champs to an acceptable level compared to other champions...
I actually dont think assassins and melee champs are the problem, the issue is how the game has changed to support these champions. If towers did more damage to make diving more risky then assassins wouldn't get the leads they get in games now a days. What's the difference between {{champion:238}} using his combo and ulting you compared to {{champion:99}}?
: just give the jungle a new camp that gives 2 levels of xp but fights like a mini drake (must be lvl 4 and have smite to kill). this camp stops spawning at 20 minutes or whatever. no need to thank me rito just gift me some RP
That would cause a big issue, coordinated teams would do regular jungle invades for the camp and it adds another load for junglers to deal with and it would lower the jungle viability again.
: Well, uh, yeah. That's how stats work. It's why tank items are generally cheaper, tanks are loaded with utility, and base damages are generally high (on champions that need to function solo or in jungle) - they are designed to be on a lower budget.
{{item:3047}} Now look at this item, do tanks buy this item more than damage dealers? Your argument about tanks is flawed that they need worse items because they are overtuned, meanwhile we have mages in every lane and even in the jungle since they don't have to sacrifice on damage or utility or itemization. {{item:3157}} The strongest damage mitigation item in the game was designed for mages, not for tanks.

: I would literally throw it in the dumpster and put all of the resources into a newer, less complicated game mode. Something more casual and friendly, but still competitive. Something that's more in line with current trends. Something that's following the market and capitalizing on the latest fad. League has grown beyond balancing. Nothing they could possibly do would make this game balanced. They spent too many years creating new content without paying enough attention to the changing state of the game. And now its descended into chaos. Just douse it in gasoline and start with something fresh. Maybe an auto chess battler or something....
TFT is garbage even if they balance it. It lacks the interaction of a 40 minute dice throwing simulator.

Darius and Cho don't have mobility or stealth in their kit meaning that Pyke can safely position in or out of a fight before he executes.
: I love how you're casually forgetting that, post damage reduction, most offensive items are much less gold efficient as well.
You're missing a huge problem. Damage gets you more gold by farming, killing, or destroying turrets, defensive stats don't help unless you're playing {{champion:33}} just because he gets a raw conversion of defensive to offensive stats.

Yep. In order for ANY form of ARAM ranked to work, ARAM only accounts would need to be made obsolete. The only way to do that is make all champs available for ARAM, otherwise ARAM only accounts would have a higher chance of getting the best ARAM champs. Until that happens, ranked cannot happen. Furthermore in a ranked ARAM there would have to be a system similar to SR, in that each player has to play a certain role; 1: Tank 1: Support 1: ADC 1: AP 1: Brawler (since there is no jungle to jungle) In that, the rolls would be randomized and the players would still get random champs for that role. Doing this would make it a pseudo ARAM, but I cannot see how else it would work and remain somewhat fair to both teams.

Tanks are needed to absorb damage and cc, since damage is too high their job has been completely taken over by mages.

: Unpopular Opinion: People complain about League's balance while not knowing enough about balance
This game stopped being a strategy game about 4 years back. They've added too many levers and moving parts to make the game unfun for casual players and that's the main reason why people have been abandoning this game. It's gotten to the point where they are just funneling diamond players into challenger ranks just to fill queues.

: Riot, What the f*ck
I do like the idea, but it's on the wrong champion. {{champion:27}} would probably be balanced on his w since he can't really duel or burst and he's a low mechanic champion.

: jokes on you. riot's going to make it so you can select the 5 champs you want and all 8 players are going to add their 5 champs for a pool of 40 champs. 1 of each gold cost. and those 40 champs are going to be the pool for every match. bet!
that wouldnt be a bad idea actually, would keep the load time down if it only had to process 40 or so different champs.

Voli was way broken and they fixed that quick. TFT really just needs to be balanced around Garen in terms of strength. Not really, as you could shrink units and expand board size so that while still readable things are wider. Plus they've already said Board-size is on-the-table for changes. From many streamer/player complaints, board size is a big issue and it is greatly limiting strategy more than any strong champion could. Hell, if you could position better with a wider space, Volibear would have never needed the nerfs.

Hell, if you could position better with a wider space, Volibear would have never needed the nerfs. it seems like it would just open a bigger can of worms though, some champions and mechanics are already buggy with the board as it is. Imagine Lucian just juking around a bigger board all game and games ending in draws or imagine Blitz and other champs just pulling a champ to one side plus it would make front line and assassins either broken or useless. I really feel like broken champs like Draven and Aurelion need to be dealt with first since metas will just form around strong champions.

They nerfed him like a decade ago when he was released because he was jungling and destroying top lane so they nerfed some of his base stats and damage so he couldn't overpower other top laners. : The lifesteal is cut to 33% for ranged and is only applied to the on hit dmg from Wit's End itself. It does not/cannot scale. It's at this point kind of useless on any ranged champion in any context unless for some reason they really need the scaling-to-player's-level on-hit dmg that doesn't even equate the former Wit's End's on-hit dmg until you're level 11. Or the 5% movement speed.
